The worst food experience I've had on Disney Property. Service was missing in action pretty much all night except when the food was taking so long he stop to chit chat for 4 or 5 minutes. We waited forever for water, drink refills, food and had to nearly hunt down a manager to be able to pay because after our food arrived the server was nowhere to be found for about an hour. My daughter had the petite filet and it was actually pretty good. I had the lobster roll which was very overpriced for what was essentially lettuce and tomato and only a few pieces of lobster on top. I've had much better lobster rolls from food trucks. My wife had a fish taco and also at the tuna poke starter. She liked the poke, but had one bit of the fish taco before deciding it was inedible. The view sitting on the back patio was nice, but the seating and chair were pretty uncomfortable for me at 6'2" given how long we had to sit around trying to get service. The base of the table made my legs sit uncomfortably high. But my wife and daughter are shorter and did not have an issue. I might give them another chance if I wanted steak specifically, but even then I found the prices to be higher than was warranted by the food. My wife has been once before and said her previous experience was not as bad but still wasn't great. Given the other options in Disney springs, I'm not sure we will make it back to the boathouse anytime soon. read more

It has been forever since being in Downtown Disney, okay, Disney Springs. Enough to where everything doesn't look familiar, only bits and pieces coming together and for some reason I thought I was in the Boathouse long ago but I remembered it being a paddle wheel boat. Yes, I know there is the Paddlefish here, but I'm still confused. It is amazing how imperfect memories are, especially when there is significant change. So, coming here I was surprised by the building it was in, otherwise, read on. The check in put us in the queue of a text based system. That worked out well and the wait wasn't long. We were seated right next to the live entertainment. Ugh... after not seeing some people for a very long time this was time to talk and not be entertained, but that worked out too. The entertainment did not stop us from talking or being heard. The food was good, a GRILLED GROUPER SANDWICH - with a side ceasar instead of fries, for me. Everyone else at the table was happy too. Though it may not be the false memory of a boat I remembered, the festive environment was a fun place to reconnect and have a great meal. Though I remember open parking lots instead of parking garages the free parking is still a welcome bonus and though things can seem like they are "all the way on the other side" of Disney Springs it really doesn't take too long to walk anywhere here. read more

Came to the boathouse for dinner at Disney Springs and once again, did not disappoint! We had Zach who was absolutely amazing to cater to our party of eight! He was calm, cool and chill! I had the watermelon margarita which was absolutely delicious! If they ever discontinue their bread, I may stop coming! The bread is so delicious. It's like a Hawaiian sweet roll by warmed up with honey butter on top. It is absolutely amazing! The firecracker shrimp is a must try! Service was top-tier with Zach and the food was really good. I have eaten here a few times ... mostly at the incredibly packed bar overlooking the water in the back. This bar is loaded all the time, so expect to be elbow to elbow with other diners ... many of whom are drunk and loud. The lady sitting 8 inches next to me was coughing up a lung the while time. Almost as gross as when a seagull perched on the rafter above the bar dropped a deuce on the bar a foot or two away from our plate. I read that this restaurant has the highest number of 'covers' (tables) served in the entire United States. I believe it as there is never a time it doesn't have a line ... and inside is huge. It's crowded chaos. I cannot understand why this place is so popular. The food is good ... but not incredible ... the inside feels like a nautical cafeteria. So crowded and not intimate at all. Beyond that, it's so expensive that you practically need to mortgage your dinner. $24 cheeseburger ... $50 - $60 fish ... etc. I used to come here because the burgers were probably the best on Disney property. They were made from a special blend of beef, owned by the restaurant. Over the last few years, I am not sure if the restaurant was bought by VC or something ... but the food is now not as good. The last two times, the incredibly greasy burger didn't agree with me and I was running to find a bathroom minutes after leaving the restaurant. Maybe it's all the grease. Kind of inconvenient. I probably will come back in a few years because I do like to sit on the lake and look at the water and this has the best water views in Springs. Everyone there seems happy ... not sure if the people have never been to a real seafood restaurant before, or, if it's just a tradition. Either way, if you have a ton of cash to spend and don't mind better than average seafood ... or wating up to 30 minutes - an hour, you could do worse in Disney Springs. read more

Typically when I travel to Disney I end up at the same restaurants I've always been to before. I'm not afraid to try new things but some of my old favorites are just so incredible. Well, this was a new one, and it's going to become one of our constants. Let's start with those freakin rolls. Lord heavens. They are truly heaven. Coated in the best glaze of honey ever. Eat I'm quick so they bring more. Then the crab cake... it looked heavenly in yelp photos but I struggle with a $30something appetizer for lunch. The waitress said a half portion was available. We did that and I'm so glad we did. Best crab cake I've ever had. My husband had the shrimp boil. He loved that it wasn't full of some of the "weirder" seafoods like crawfish or something requiring a lot of effort like crab legs. He felt it was filling and delicious. I got the Yacht Club Club. It was good for a lunch. The sandwich was actually so big that I ended up taking it apart and eating it with a fork and knife. The cucumbers on there were a great added touch! We will definitely be back on our next trip. The restaurant has an upscale feel, and there are definitely fancy things on the menu, but we got out of there and it was our cheapest sit down Disney meal. And our favorite. read more

The Boathouse is a popular Disney Springs restaurant known for oysters, elevated food, and nice views. We made reservations for a late lunch and were seated almost immediately. Our server Megan was on the spot and ready for every question we threw ar her. She was amazing! She anticipated everything we wanted and was ahead of the curve! Awesome service! This place is loud so don't go thinking there will be any intimate moments. This is a place for good times and great food. To start we got oysters on the half and some oysters rockefeller. Both were fantastic, but the oysters rockefeller were standouts! We shared entrees which worked out great. We ordered drinks that were out of this world! Kudos to the bar! First visit to The Boathouse. Family during the holiday season. All the food was great with one exception. The herb vinaigrette needed more taste as it was bland. 5/14/25 Zach and I made a reservation for the BoatHouse via the Disneyapp for 8:50PM. We got there early on the possibility that we could be seated sooner, but the host said no. We checked in and she said a text would be sent to my phone once our table was ready. Zach and I wandered across until 8:40PM when the restaurant texted me that our table was ready. Our waitress was very friendly and the manager personally took our order since I had listed in the app that I had a pistachio allergy. This is what we got: - 1/2 dozen oysters: 2 Lucky dux, 1 Mom shell, 1 Shipwreck, 1 Village Bay, 1 Queens cup - Maine style lobster roll (his) - Shrimp and andouille mac and cheese (mine) Our view was very nice and we weren't cold at all. The bread we got was warmed and fluffy. The oysters were very fresh and delicious. The lobster roll was packed with lobster! Chips tasted a little stale, but the star of the show was clearly the roll. The mac and cheese was really good too. There was so much I couldn't finish the plate. When you're all done, you can pay for the bill via the QR code on the table. It was a very pleasant experience. Food was great and the staff were super friendly. My wife and I decided to come here for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is very fun, with classic nautical themes throughout. It is located in Disney Springs so it can be a bit crowded; be sure and get reservations ahead of time if you plan for a dinner on the weekends and even most weekdays. There is outdoor seating which is a great option for a more casual meal. You can even be seated down the docks. The food was excellent and service was top notch. My wife ordered the grouper tacos and I ordered a NY strip. We also tried their famous Filet mignon sliders which were excellent. It cost around $100 for both of us without getting drinks or a desert. The quality of food and atmosphere makes it an excellent spot for a nice meal. The Boathouse is a waterfront restaurant located in Disney Springs. My friend and I made reservations online a few weeks ahead of time for a weeknight dinner. I highly recommend making reservations because they do get very busy given their prime location and delicious food. We were seated a few minutes after checking in. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, but we chose first available which ended up being inside. We decided to share the filet mignon sliders (butter on the side) as an appetizer. For my entree, I chose the wedge with an herb vinaigrette dressing. While we waited for our food, our server brought us water and (free) bread. This bread was incredible. Taste wise, I'd compare it to be similar to Texas Roadhouse rolls. The filet mignon sliders were amazing and the wedge salad was crisp & fresh. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a nautical theme. Service was great and friendly! Disney Springs has a free parking garage available, so plan accordingly that there may be a slight walk or line through security (to get into Disney Springs). This is my place to go when I'm at Disney Spring. Hubby and I like it. We start and end our meal at the Boat House. Beginning of our Disney trip we decided to go for lunch. Very lucky it wasn't crowded. They were able to seat us. Our go to is the lobster roll and crab cakes. Both dishes offer lots of lobster and crab meat. The customer service over there is awesome. We were looking for a Sunday brunch spot, and an internet search led us here to The Boathouse. This was a happy find for sure and it met our expectations perfectly. We arrived here at around 12:30 and were a bit concerned at first, as most everyone in line ahead of us at the hostess stand appeared to have a reservation. We were told the only thing they could offer us were seats at the indoor or outdoor bars, as those are first come/first served. We decided on the outdoor bar which is built on a large covered deck elevated above the water. We found open stools right away and service was decent, but not what I'd consider outgoing or overly friendly, which is a rare thing in Orlando and at a Disney property in particular. We both started with a bloody mary, which were very large with an impressive amount of garnish. We then ordered 1/2 dozen oysters and each got a brunch entree. Everything we had was very good, but I thought the oysters were relatively small for the price ($27 per 1/2 dozen) and our oysters weren't served until after we'd already started eating our main courses. Also, while we were given 3 different menus and there was lots of variety overall to choose from for both food and drink, I found the brunch food menu in particular to be limited. I was really in the mood for something more traditional like french toast, chicken and waffles or scrambled eggs with breakfast potatoes, but no luck finding any of those things here; I ended up with chorizo breakfast tacos and my husband the steak and eggs. This really was an enjoyable dining spot - seated on the open-air deck while the antique amphibian car/boats and ferries floated past, with a comfortable temperature and a nice breeze. As a bonus, most all the other patrons seemed outgoing, friendly and genuinely happy to be there (I'm guessing most were on vacation). My daughter and I had reservations at 11:00 am and when we arrived there was a line to get in. My first thoughts were hmmm is the food that good. Once we got in, the host checked us in and once we were checked in we were escorted by another host to take us to our table. Once we were seated our waiter came over ready to take our order. Once we ordered he brought out the most delicious rolls that were buttered and moist fresh from the oven. For an appetizer we had filet mignon sliders which were 10/10, I ordered a chicken Cesar salad with French fires which were 10/10, my daughter had a club sandwich and truffle fries she said it was 10/10. Great customer service and well sized portions for the price you're paying! I went here with a friend who is gluten-free, and I was really glad they were able to accommodate her. We got a reservation and checked in at the desk, we were seated within five minutes. The inside of the restaurant is definitely themed accurately, very blue and white and there's even a boat inside. Or half of a boat lol the server was quick and friendly, and make sure to talk with my friend about her allergy. I got the classic cheeseburger and fries, knowing that it was a little pricey. I figured it was because we were still on Disney property and so the prices were Disney prices. I was expecting a small to medium sized burger. When they brought out the gigantic burger I was really happy with the portion size for the price that I was going to pay. The burger was very juicy and cooked to my liking. I got the side of fries which were crisp and fresh! I really liked the atmosphere and the food was delicious! We ate here last week. We were a party of 6. So the food was a mixed bag. I ordered a cheeseburger. While the patty was delicious, the lettuce in the burger was wilted and the edges were going bad, so I had to rip the edges off. The fries were served lukewarm. Everyone knows that fries need to be served piping hot to be good. So these were disappointing. 2 of my kids shared a seafood boil, and that was delicious. Another daughter ordered the steak sliders. They were good but were only chunks of steak on buns, nothing else. It needed more I thought. My husband ordered a wedge salad. It was ok, but bad but not the greatest he's had. My son in law ordered the Shrimp & Andouille Mac N' Cheese. That was very good also. My biggest disappointment was the S'mores Baked Alaska. This is the reason we went to the Boathouse. While this dessert is huge, it's also very expensive at $55. And we discovered it's not even a true baked Alaska. They cheat by covered the ice cream in marshmallow fluff and then covering the fluff with marshmallows and then torching the marshmallows to brown them a little. They do use good quality chocolate ice cream, so that was good. But the marshmallows didn't taste good with it, so I picked those off. At first I thought the marshmallow fluff was meringue, like it's supposed to be, but then my husband pointed out that it was marshmallow fluff, and he was right. DISAPPOINTING! It should NOT be called Baked Alaska! Maybe Faked Alaska?! On top of this, it was very loud in the restaurant. We were almost shouting to talk to one another. I won't be returning. read more

One last hoorah with my work partner, turned sister. I highly recommend downloading the WDW app and creating a reservation. The Boathouse gets packed! They do allow walk ups, but wait times do take a while. They have a dockside bar, but that tends to get packed as well. Once your reservation is confirmed you have the option of being seated outside or inside. We opted to sit outside per usual. We had a great view of the ferries traveling from the resorts to Disney Springs. Occasionally you get a glimpse of the amphibicars driving by. The wait staff were so incredible that they gave us a celebratory drink each for our mission complete. We had ordered the steak frites and oysters Rockefeller as our departure meal. The oysters are perfectly baked with creamed spinach and melted cheese. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked. The Duck Duck Razz is a signature drink that is accompanied by a tiny rubber duck. The vodka is noticeable, but the blue curaçao makes it taste like a jolly rancher. Although the heat and humidity is strong in Florida, the patio is cool and the occasional breeze made the dining experience fantastic. read more

We had an early Sunday dinner at the Boathouse. We asked for the outdoor covered patio, and that was very nice and relaxing. We both tried the duck duck razz signature cocktail. It was sweet and strong, while at the same time tasty. Entrees were the shrimp and sausage Mac n Cheese and Half Chicken. Both entrees were very good! Our server Lauren was awesome. So sweet and helpful the entire time. We did not have the Disney dining plan this trip, so while we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and dining experience, I don't think it would be worth 2 table service credits. read more

The Boathouse is located right in the lively Disney Springs area. We didn't have reservations but were told the wait would be about 30 minutes, which wasn't bad since we could enjoy the entertainment and festivities outside. To our surprise, our table was ready in about 15 minutes -- a great start, and we were excited to dine here. Once seated, our server handed us the menu, and I immediately felt a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of items offered. In my experience, when a restaurant has a massive menu, it usually means the focus on quality can suffer -- it starts to feel a bit "fast food-ish." Still, I kept an open mind and decided to start with the lobster bisque and a crab cake. Unfortunately, the lobster bisque was disappointing. It was extremely salty, had a grainy texture, and oddly tasted like cheese. There wasn't a single piece of lobster in it. I've never had a bisque quite like this, and I let the waitress know. She promptly removed it from the bill, which I appreciated, but an apology would have gone a long way. Next came the crab cake -- large and round but not very appetizing in appearance. The taste didn't help either; the crab had a strange, almost canned flavor and a mushy texture, packed with filler that I couldn't even identify. It simply wasn't good. Honestly, this restaurant could use some serious help in the kitchen -- it reminded me of something you'd see on Gordon Ramsay's Restaurant Impossible. For a seafood restaurant sitting right on the water, the food didn't taste fresh at all, which is baffling. On the positive side, the atmosphere was great. The nautical décor and indoor boat displays really made you feel like you were dining in a true boathouse -- so I'm giving two stars for ambiance alone. Those two dishes really stood out. Cons: The ribeye was mid at best cooked fine, but pretty basic and lacking much seasoning or character. The Caesar salad was one of the plainest I've had... barely any dressing. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a nice layout and view, but somehow the atmosphere felt kind of cold and bland, not very inviting. Service was okay, not bad. Fantastic fantastic food, took one star off because it is super loud and chaotic in there which is tough but otherwise a great experience! Server was very responsive and helpful, we LOVED the rolls and asked for both regular butter and cinnamon butter for them, both great. We ordered truffle fries for the table which were great, crisp, well seasoned and the garlic aioli was very good as well. Different members of my party got the firecracker shrimp, coconut shrimp, lobster roll and shrimp boil. Shrimp boil was well seasoned, the lobster roll was fantastic and had some really great big chunks of lobster, the coconut shrimp was nothing super special but very tasty and fresh especially with the sauce, and the firecracker shrimp was very good as well, lots of flavor and I liked the extra pieces of fried pepper in the basket. I would like to be super fair about our experience. We made a reservation for lunch today at 2pm and we were excited. We ordered food and drinks at the same time when the waiter arrived. At 3pm my wife asked the waiter why so many tables had turned over without our food arriving. He said he would check and then our food arrived in minutes. When it was served it looked, and felt like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour. Additionally, the crab cake was served with no sauce and the prime rib sliders had soaked through the bun completely. A manger named Natalie showed up a few minutes later. We DID NOT ASK for a manager. SHE approached US when we finally had our food. My wife was honest that we had watched tables turn over and our food was clearly under a heat lamp for a long time. Natalie asked repetitively if we would like our food to be made again- we didn't have time. After we said no, she became repetitive, defensive and made a scene. Either she got the whole story from the kitchen, waiter or saw me taking pictures and came back and comped the whole meal including drinks. Again, she made a scene coming back to the table again to explain why they were comping the meal "because of the food" which we did not ask for and was embarrassing. Huge place! And even with ample seating indoor and out, this place was packed and poppin! Had a 745 res and waited less than 10 mins. Outdoor seating was comfortable w the heaters on and we didn't feel cramped either. Started an our signature drinks of espresso martini and kier royale. Apps were the bisque, calamari and tuna poke which I ate as a main. Everything came out timely and tasted fantastic! I am sad to say that our experience at The Boathouse was an extreme let down. I am solely giving them three stars for their insanely good complimentary bread, and our amazing waitor, Neal. He was the star of the show. A truly special guy! We have been to literally thousands of restaurants, hundreds of fine dining establishments, and he provided michelin-star quality service. Even multiple other team members were very helpful. Neal was helpful, attentive, and very kind. He knew the menu very well. Food: very underwhelming. I am sad to say that everything tastes like what you would expect form a sysco-supplied restaurant. The lobster bisque was the same kind that every other cruddy Florida seafood place serves. The grouper dish was very "meh." The quality was just not there. The filet sliders were incredibly dry. The carpaccio was quite bland. Do not even order the lobster roll. It looked fantastic, with large chunks of lobster, but it was also a huge disappointment. Needless to say, their food does not match their reviews. Maybe this place has gone downhill. Not too sure. The seating layout was way too crammed. Where our table was situated was crammed against a wall and right next to the ordering system. No table should have been squeezed right there.
