The boiling crab was amazing. They seat their last customers at 10. We got there minutes before and we're still seated with no problem. This boiling crab has a shorter line than the one in K-Town and Alhambra. I like how they have an outside patio as well. Sadly, they don't have much sauce as they use to ( all boiling crab location). I usually get the whole shabang, medium. Comes with garlic, Cajun, butter and pepper and salt, lemon. XXX is just way tooo spicy. It hurts. If you want something spicy but still bearable get the medium. read more

Always been a fan, and been coming here for the past 4 years. Done take out a couple times during pandemic. But this Friday, the shrimp we got were all soft and soggy and falling apart. It's probably because the shrimp were defrosted for too long. I understand it's probably not bad enough to be thrown away, but we've never seen this level of quality before. We were legitimately worried about a stomach upset after the meal. The server was amazing she was checking up on us frequently BUT I give it 2 stars because the shrimp, snow crab legs and sausage were over cooked and the sauce didn't have much flavor. I asked for The Whole Sha-Bang sauce medium and XXX on the side just in case it wasn't spicy enough and in the end neither were spicy enough for me. My first time going to The Boiling Crab was in Koreatown. I loved it. When I knew this location was open, I started going there because it's closer to home. Also, it's newer and parking is easier and FREE. Can't beat that! The food is consistently good at a great price. I love the drinks. Bayou breeze is my favorite. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. They greet you coming and going. One time a waiter helped my friend out with opening her king crab. One little thing... I NEVER get my fries and main meal at the same time. That was never a problem at the K-town location so I don't get it. read more

Food was great, just as you would expect from The Boiling Crab. We ordered chicken tenders, shrimp, and clams with corn and potatoes and also enjoyed a few margaritas. The food was satisfying. The reason this is getting 4 instead of 5 stars is because we were told the estimated wait time would be 25 minutes and it turned into 75 minutes. We had children in our party so the tripled wait time was almost unbearable! Luckily we had snacks in our bag for the kids to eat while waiting. Wish the location to pickup orders for takeout was changed because it took up a lot of indoor space where more seating could be available. Understanding that this probably reflects changes made during current covid times. read more

Shrimp and crab were over cooked. None of the seafood we ate was even close to fresh. The crab shell was so soft, you couldn't even break it. It just bent in half without breaking. Very dry and it tasted like buffet crab that had been sitting out under the heat lamp for a long time! The worst part was when I got FOOD POISING from the crab! I only thought it was way over cooked, not bad! It was terrible!! Avoid this boiling crab! Stick to the original in K-town!! Oh, and we would have told our server but she never checked up on us. Just quickly told us she would be leaving and that we would have someone else. Never got introduced to whomever was taking over. We had to ask someone for our check. I am a HUGE boiling crab fan so this review maybe little biased, but this location is the absolute best of all the other locations out there. I tried nearly all of California branches, and even in Dallas, and Houston, Texas and this Burbank location beats them all. The food is delicious, staffs are friendly, and the place is kept very clean at all times. The best part is that there are usually no wait lines in this location. I'm writing this review to show them love, but I honestly hope this place doesn't get too crowded like all other locations. read more

I'm gonna say the negative first because there was only one downside to the food: DON'T ORDER THE CLAMS! They were not worth the price we paid for. This place is busy so arrive early and plan to wait a bit. They will text you when your tables ready so you dont have to hang out all night if you want to shop or something. Thankfully my husband and I were the only ones in our party so we got seated quickly. The hostess was nice and our waitress was awesome! I prefer an honest waitress who recommends good deals than someone who just pushes the special. She recommended the 1/2 lb shrimp, clams, and southern king crab with the mild whole shebang seasons mixed in. Again, DON'T ORDER THE CLAMS! NOT WORTH IT! We got the shrimp and clams first. The shrimp were more like prawns! Huge and full of meat and flavor. Super filling to peel, and fun for anyone who likes to use their hands to eat. Honestly, expect to get messy! When the southern king crab came I honestly would have put what we paid for the clams into ordering more of that. I've never had southern king but I'm definitely a fan now and I'm gonna order it from now on. My husband loved the crab too, and found out it was easier to squirt lemon on the table than the meat. All in all, it didn't get a 5* because of the clams, but that was it. I'd recommend for families with kids to order the shrimp or something off the main menu. A side or something because it's hard to peal the meat off the crab legs and they are sharp! It's also pricey so save up and expect to pay $20 per person. read more

I compare all Boiling Crab locations to the original in Alhambra and unfortunately this location falls very short. The service is slow and the taste is not as good as it used to be. The sauce is obviously rationed and bland. Gone are the days where the seafood would arrive saturated in the yummy cajun sauce. Now you have buy additional seasoning to get somewhat close to how good it used to be. The garlic butter is now strictly just that. If you want to ask for cajun, you get less butter and garlic leaving an unsavory taste. I think they try too hard to make you buy more sauce. I miss the old Boiling Crab. read more
