    First time at The Boldthouse.

We really enjoyed our first time visit here. The brunch was great. We shared the The Brunch Charcuterie Board with French Toast Bites. Also the Hangover Hamburger, Breakfast Burrito and the Shrimp Alfredo. Excellent service. The Sparkling Wine enhanced the ambiance. Will definitely return to try Tuesday Trivia Night.

Waited for this place to open to try it. I ordered chicken tacos and was supposed to pick up between 7:00-7:05 PM. Didn't get my tacos until 7:20 PM. Then I was given Salmon Tacos and when we called, we were told I ordered fish tacos. Receipt has chicken and they continue to say I asked for fish. The noodle picture is Cajun pasta. There is no seasoning, no Cajun seasoning. I will not go again. (Can't eat the salmon, I'm allergic)

Nice place! It was a quiet night due to the weather and the place was very nice. We sat with Lexi at the bar and she was a great bartender/server!! We had ceviche, jalapeño fried chicken, and the shrimp & mushroom spaghetti. All were super tasty. Ceviche was our fave, the house made chips came out warm and fresh. The shrimps were big and grilled perfectly. We don't normally go to the same place twice but if we're in town again we will definitely come back here :)

Came in from Galveston to meet a friend for brunch. We sat on the first floor by the window. Cute little place. We got bottomless mimosas for $10 each--awesome! Entrees: We were given bar napkins as our table napkins. Really? I got crab cake eggs benedict which were tasty but the english muffins were a tad tough. The side potatoes were very dry. Friend got the breakfast slam...she asked for over easy and got a hard egg. She also only got only 1 egg instead of 2 as described on menu. Friend had been there last week for burgers...one medium, one rare. Both came out well done! Wow! ...it's all in the details

Food was outstanding, great steaks and beers, best ceviche I've ever had. Lexi was awesome as well!

This place is really GREAT if you want a quiet couple-date... the music is folksy and subtle. We have been a couple times and it has never been busy... only one or two other couples. The menu is limited.., pasta, sandwiches, and steaks. They do have Beef Wellington on the menu! Happy Hour is 4-6 and they have themed nights throughout the week.

Cheese grits, made ro order omelet, biscuits and sausage gravy, bottomless mimosa for a Sunday brunch + so much more!

Excellent brunch. Many made to order dishes, along with a great "grazing" table set-up.

Love the look, feel and atmosphere of this new wine/beerhouse in Seabrook. Very friendly. Average wine prices ($9-14/glass). Beer specials too! Cheese & meat trays to pair with your drinks. On the counter you'll find large containers of white and red sangria. Behind the counter are about 20 beer taps (maybe one wine tap). Great patio area with live music. I suggest trying the Boldthouse

They order it from Mostly Chocolate in The Heights and they're $3.5 each when sold here. I thought 4/5! My girlfriend through it was a little too salty but I thought it was perfect. She would rate closer to 3-3.5 Toffee something: interesting texture it had bits inside that were really nice and the filling was super smooth. The shell was delicious. My girlfriend would rate 4-5/5! Espresso: my girlfriend loveddddd it!! She would do 4-5/5 and I would say around 3-3.5. I wish it were chocolaty-er but my gf wouldn't change a thing. I would come back for the service alone; nothing beats that! Can't wait to try the hazelnut pop rock and smores.

On a recent trip to Galveston, it was the same. We found D'Vine Wine listed in our search and got giddy. We came up on and were as happy as pigs in...well you know. There was a guy out front playing guitar, the patio and backyard looked inviting and slightly rustic, and a decent breeze was in the air. We were ready to camp out with a bottle of wine for a little while. Until... We get inside and see the tastings are pretty pricey. Prices range depending on the type of wine you sample, but I think we paid middle of the road 2 bucks for a plastic, thimble-sized sample. We ask for the sample. The woman behind the bar pours it in the tiny plastic cup and hands it over. And stares at us. So...nothing to say about this one? Must be a real winner. And as expected, it was not very good. We then sample another*, and she pours with no description whatsoever, and we cringe as we sip on this second sample. At this point, we know we'll be moving on, but we browsed anyways as we nursed this second, tiny sample. To our astonishment, they actually have some of the priciest wine we've ever seen at a Texas winery. As we circle back to the bar area, we're greeted with the following: "So, y'all want another sample or something?" ...thanks...but no thanks! *If so bad, why the second sample? 1. We're gluttons for wine/beer/punishment. 2. You got one free sample for "liking" them on facebook. We felt guilty about wanting to leave after having just one free sample. I did not, however, feel guilty about "unliking" them later that night.

While randomly Googling, I remembered Boondoggles and decided to give the 'old place' another try. My first visit was for a dinner with classmates from UHCL; my second was with my brother. The eatery looked practically the same as it did nearly eight years ago. Its dive bar meets German beer hall vibe is still very much alive, and the place was still bustling with people. I came in with fish and chips on my mind, but a lengthy scan of the menu led me to the Florentini Chicken, while my brother ordered the shrimp po-boy. The Florentini Chicken was really good, and I think it's a solid choice for the health-conscious. The chicken was tender and the vegetables were perfectly crisp. My only wish was that the entire dish had been a bit larger, as the mashed potatoes were gone in just a few spoonfuls. On reflection, while the Florentini Chicken deserves a try, I'll probably stick with pizza next time. I asked my brother how he liked his shrimp po-boy, and he had no complaints, so I'll take that as a sign he enjoyed it. Price-wise, while the costs may have risen over the years, they were not unreasonable.

The elote ravioli's presentation was beautiful!! Check out the flowers and the garnishes in the pic. The flavors were a delightful mix of spice and richness (not too much of either IMO). Amanda made a great traditional margarita for my mom (sweet price at $10). Wine by glass and bottles are priced well. Dessert was interesting; we ordered the smoked bread pudding. My husband and I decided to share a small Greek salad, the Pasta Aglio and the Baklava cheese. The salad and pasta were both delicious, light yet filling and plenty for the two of us to share. The salad actually had SUPER green lettuce leaves, which was such a pleasant surprise. However, the Baklava cheesecake was pretty disappointing. It was a giant piece of plain cheesecake that had toppings on it from what seemed like a piece of baklava cake. Those toppings disappeared pretty quickly and that left us with a bunch of plain cheesecake. We were expecting the baklava flavors to be swirled into the cheesecake, which is why we found this to be disappointing. The fries are also well seasoned and tasty. Highly recommend. I ordered the Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Chicken. This was absolutely fantastic. Served over a bed of sauteed serrano slaw (which was amazing, I usually don't like slaw), this delightful concoction was stuffed with cream cheese spinach artichoke and cream cheese with a balsamic glaze over the top. It comes with very good mashed potatoes. I don't like most restaurants potatoes, so that's a bonus win. Really enjoyed, would get it again. The beer! They have a really good menu that rotates. And listen, I'm basically a certified alcoholic (just kidding... allegedly), so trust me when I say I know a good drink when I taste one.
