Photo 1: Daisy upon pickup from her first overnight stay at Bone Adventure

I'm posting this review because my husband's review was wrongly removed by Yelp or the owner. It's truly a shame if this review is also removed as all we want to do is prevent others from having to endure the pain and suffering we did due to taking our dog to Bone Adventure. -- Photo 1: Daisy upon pickup from her first overnight stay at Bone Adventure Photo 2: One week later - Daisy's melting cornea, caused by a chemical at Bone Adventure Photo 3: Four weeks later - Daisy after her enucleation (eye removal) There was no bite, scratch, or debris. The doctors suggested this could only have been from a chemical. Staff at BA let Daisy follow them into the laundry room (a RESTRICTED area for dogs) and was on security footage afterwards rubbing her eye. They claim no toxic chemicals were present but just look at the photos. Taking Daisy here was the biggest mistake we ever made and our poor 6 month old puppy lost her eye because of their gross negligence. BEWARE!

Go to place for my pup to take him swimming !!! We drive from sd to take him swimming here. The staff is really helpful,! This time we also got a grooming added for Mochi and he came out all fluffy and soft! I would have appreciated more if the front desk lady was a little more polite. I know it can get overwhelming sometimes! Overall a good place. Have never tried the day care / boarding so will comment on it whenever I use the service !!

Ashamed I've not previously reviewed the Bone. Primarily because the decisions about good loving care for my 23 lb Shiba mix is SO much easier since I found the Bone! He is a handful; delightful with people; somewhat choosy and dominant with intact male dogs regardless of their size. So he's a red bandana guy and they watch him carefully in the population. They truly display affection for him; like Cheers, everybody knows his name. He comes home healthy, with not a bit of stress. By the way, he usually goes to the Backyard. For the first time, he will soon be staying at the Home. He was attacked and sustained significant neck injuries from a bite from an 80 lb pitbull a block from our house on a walk. He still has staples in his neck. With the staff, we decided the Home would be calmer, so he will be there for 3 nights. I'm confident because of all our past experiences. Did I mention he's a happy wanderer? He tries to get out of everywhere; they saved the video of an attempt he once made at the Backyard; it didn't work because their security is tight. I believe due to his stunts he's now a red AND blue bandana guy. I truly believe the Bone is the best boarding facility in the OC, and their prices are justified.

The bone adventure is the best place in town to drop your dog off at. They are very caring people and true animal lovers.

We brought him in at 13 weeks to the EveryPup Program, where he is in a clean and disinfected facility with other safe and healthy pups and he gets training every day by Dave. Almost from day 1 we started noticing huge changes, and he matured so rapidly it's like we have a different dog! He is very calm, polite and attentive, and has been able to self-regulate so well. Dave is always available for our questions and follow ups, and he sends over progress notes and photos every day from training sessions. We also would ask him about problem behavior such as counter surfing or jumping up on people to greet, and Dave would target those specific behaviors as well. We also appreciated how fast and quickly they acted on our puppy swallowing something he shouldn't have, and immediately gave him some hydrogen peroxide to get him to throw it up, which saved us from extremely expensive and likely traumatic vet visits and possible surgery. Very grateful! Every day we pick up our puppy he is so happy from a day of playing and getting love from all the staff, and is tired and ready for some cuddles and naps when he gets home. The staff here are so caring and really love each dog, I trust them to take care of our puppy. Highly recommend!

We've been bringing our pups to the Jamboree location for quite a while, and up until the beginning…read moreof this year, we had nothing but positive experiences. Last year, we brought them frequently and always felt confident leaving them there. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the facility felt clean, and our dogs always seemed happy to be there. That's why it's so disappointing to see how much things have changed since the ownership transition. Since the change in ownership, we've noticed a significant decline in the overall experience. The staff no longer feels as friendly or approachable. While there are still a few kind employees, several team members come across as cold and unhelpful, making drop-off feel uncomfortable and even a bit intimidating. It no longer feels like the warm, welcoming environment it once was. We've also noticed the facility doesn't seem nearly as clean as it used to be. Our dogs consistently come home smelling strongly of urine after daycare. We occasionally check the live cameras throughout the day and frequently see urine sitting on the playroom floors for extended periods before being cleaned up. If messes in the common play areas are left unattended, it raises concerns about how often the kennels are being cleaned when the dogs are resting. Combined with the odor our dogs come home with, it has made us question the overall cleanliness of the facility. Another noticeable change is how little time our dogs now seem to spend in the play areas. We'll pay for a half-day of daycare, and by the time we pick them up, we're lucky if they've spent more than 30 minutes interacting with other dogs. The majority of their visit appears to be spent kenneled. We choose daycare because we want our dogs to have a safe, clean environment where they can socialize and play. If they're spending most of their visit in a kennel, it's difficult to justify paying for daycare when they could be comfortably resting at home in a cleaner environment for free. Customer service has also become frustrating. Recently, one of our dogs came home without his collar. We didn't realize it until we got home, so we called the facility and were told someone would call us back because they were too busy at the moment. We never received a callback. After calling several more times over the next few days without getting an answer, we ultimately had to drive to the facility ourselves just to ask about and retrieve the collar. Pickup has also become much slower than it used to be, often requiring a long wait before our dogs are brought out. We're genuinely disappointed because we loved this location for a long time and trusted the team with our pets. Unfortunately, since the ownership change, we've experienced a noticeable decline in cleanliness, customer service, and the overall level of care. We hope these concerns are taken seriously because we'd love to see this location return to the high standard that made us loyal customers in the first place.

However, that turned out NOT to be the case at all! We were pleasantly surprised to discover that they are reasonably priced across the board - grooming, vaccines, exams, surgery and boarding! Not only that, Dr. Andrew Yacoub is EVERYTHING we were looking for in a vet for our toy poodle puppy's care. He is by far the most informed vet we have ever worked with, from vaccines to surgery. My husband & I are fully convinced that it would be next to impossible to find a more competent and compassionate vet, who truly cares about his pet patients and their owners. We learned that Dr. Andrew even purchases smaller needles for the vaccines, so pets don't feel what could be painful. His calm demeanor, along with his caring assistants, make for a perfect setting for what could sometimes prove to be an unpleasant visit. To top it off, Dr Andrew is a good listener and a good communicator. He is collaborative in his approach and respects our wishes. Everyone in the office has been welcoming, polite and efficient, which is often hard to come by these days. If you're looking for a most excellent vet, give Dr. Andrew a call. You and your furry family member(s) will be SO glad you did!

The staff are remarkable! They always work with me, as my schedule changes week-to-week. Alis gets personal attention (and lots of affection) from everyone there and she has supervised play with her friends throughout the day; I get pictures during the day showing her activities and occasional walks to the park. Every dog there gets personal recognition and mental stimulation from the staff. It really gives me comfort to know that she is expertly taken care of and always having fun! The amenities are beautiful and ALWAYS clean... no odors or messes anywhere, EVER! Alis has memorized the drive there and whines with excitement in the car ride from about 3 blocks away, when we are on our way in the morning. When I pick her up, it's a different story... she NEVER wants to leave to go home with me. When she finally gets in the car, she drops and relaxes; she is always so happy and tired! I truly, highly recommend "Home Away from Home" for your peace of mind, and for safe-play for our beloved furry friends!
