One is an ankle, leather boot, which the heal/sole was beginning to separate. The other pair was also ankle height, but a suede type (wallabe style). The sole half way separated. I wasn't pleased with the type of customer service from this owner. He showed no customer service manners during my drop off and pick up visit. I looked at the boots quickly and saw that the sole were intact. When I arrived home and looked at the boots later. I saw one pair how the glue was not wiped up completely. After wearing it a week I looked to see how the sole was doing and I could see a slight separation. I didn't expect this having to pay $40 for each pair. I used Gorilla glue to fix the problem. I should have done the work myself.

Maybe if this was a cheaper option, it would be ok but I paid more than I would have sending it out for a worse job. The only thing that was good was it was a quick turnaround which turns out didn't make up for the rest of the work. TLDR: send your climbing shoes out to resole even if it'll take longer to get them back. This wasn't worth it on so many levels.

When I went to pick it up today I couldn't believe it. The shoe is completely destroyed. He said it was hard and he had to cut the fabric to get it out. The shoe is not only filthy, but cut up (which he blamed me and said I cut a hole which was absolutely untrue-he cut the actually fabric of the shoe itself, destroying the integrity of the shoe), shredded the material, sloppily tried to sew it back together, and its black where his dirty hands were doing the work on top of all of that. When I told him he ruined $150 pair of point shoes, he angrily threw my $5 back at me. I will NEVER give this place this business again, and on top of that have to go spend double the money just for trusting him to do something when he could have told me it was something he didn't know how to do and then lied about his work.
