The Breakfast Den serves Vietnamese-American breakfast foods all day. I opted for the "usual" - eggs, bacon, potatoes, and white toast. Pretty standard cozy breakfast food. 8/10

The interior is cute and there is a bit of seating. We came as a group of six without a reservation for brunch and they asked us to wait, which is fine, but then they kept telling us to move to a different area to wait and then getting annoyed at us for being in the area and then made us stand in the rain. The banh mi was pretty good and was a big portion. The thit ko hash was also good. Do NOT get any matcha drink from here--it was murky green.

Despite the long wait times I'm always happy with my food! I brought others to try it out and they too had a great experience. The food they offer are unique takes on classic Asian and American dishes. I tried one of their specials that they list on their little planters and it was so yummy. I think they combine savory and sweet so well in all their dishes and they have some of the best breakfast potatoes in town. Just a little loud in the space but it was expected on a busy Sunday morning!

This review has been long time coming. I've been here multiple times. The food is always consistent, the service is always excellent the ambiance is always friendly and clean. It is such a great place that I bring all my family and friends who visit to come eat here. You cannot go wrong with the Sweet Jam Remix feat. Spicy. This is their best sandwich, the onions are so good. The sauce is delicious. We've come here so many times and will continue to come back!

Tofu egg bowl, chicken and waffles, fruit bowl, Vietnamese coffee, and jasmine palmer

My favorite place to get breakfast/brunch when I lived nearby! Their food is so comforting and delicious. I always get the tofu and egg bowl. The tomato sauce is a little too fishy for my taste, but the tofu is so crispy and yummy that I eat it anyway. The first and last time I tasted the Vietnamese iced coffee, it had an unleasant aftertaste. The jasmine palmer wasn't really noteworthy either. The chicken was also really dry. It's a beautiful but cramped space, and the wait can definitely be long on weekend mornings. All things considered, it's worth trying!

Lots of options for breakfast from Vietnamese to American, and of course, fusion dishes. I was happy at how vegetarian friendly the menu was. It wasn't super pricy either, which was an added plus. It's open seating with a cute interior. Service was a little slow but it was a Sunday an hour before closing, so no big deal. The Vietnamese coffee was also delicious and not too sweet.

I had the Thit Kho Hash and a chai latte and they were delicious. This is a great breakfast spot. Friendly, warm, efficient service. Great vibe/decor. I'll definitely be back!!!

I am in LOVE with the Breakfast Den. As soon as I saw Vietnamese Fusion Brunch, I was in. Let's start with the ambiance. It was so colorful and cute inside. Definitely a very fun, artistic vibe. I loved it in the early morning. We were lucky in that we got here right as it opened and did not have to wait to get a seat. We were immediately seated. I went with the Thit Kho Hash and my finance decided to get Tbd Breakfast Rice Bowl with crispy pork belly and a side of chili oil. Let me tell you, these dishes were like nothing I have ever had! They were full of flavor and I was just so excited to be trying all of this for a new brunch experience. The pork in both dishes, while very different preparations, were cooked to perfection. The chili oil was so great and we bought a whole jar and took it home to enjoy. This place is so memorable and you're missing out if you don't give it a chance. A true culinary experience!

    Banh Mi Op La

Vietnamese breakfast has definitely made me rethink what is considered breakfast! When I think of banh mi, I think of it as a lunch hoagie that is eaten as a quick and simple lunch. Well, at the Breakfast Den, banh mi can be had for breakfast as they add their own twist to it! The Op La Banh Mi has the most perfect runny yolk and after it leaked all over inside the sandwich, the bread soaked up all the creamy yolk to create the most magical bite. The crispy eggplant was another new breakfast item to me. Who knew this would be something I would get very addicted to! The eggplant has a light crunch on the outside with the inside being soft and smooth eggplant texture. The sauce is slightly tangy aioli that complimented the fried eggplant well in cutting some of the greasiness from fried foods. Keep in mind that this place does get busy on the weekends and the restaurant itself does have limited seating, feeling a bit crammed at times. The wait to get a table wasn't too long, however, as the staff were efficient in clearing up the tables quickly as patrons leave. I had a great first meal experience at this place and look forward to going back to try their porridge and their breakfast spring rolls.

Cute little spot in Philly with amazingly delicious food! The menu items have a nice little twist to your normal fare. I plan on hitting this spot again bc I have to try a few more things.

TBD is one of my family's favorite breakfast places. The food here is out of control good, arrives quickly and is always hot, which is a special treat when your a parent and usually eat last. We usually get a few items to share and have never been disappointed. My favorites are the summer rolls, congee and honey ginger milk tea. The kids usually share the two two two meal or get the chocolate chip bacon pancakes. The wife gets a breakfast Sammy and a fancy coffee. Staff is super friendly and never gives us the side eye, even when my kids spit water on the floor, touch the decorations on the wall or scream that their tablets need a charge. Sorry about that.

The Breakfast Den is a cozy corner restaurant located in Graduate Hospital with superb ambiance and interior. I dined in shortly with a friend after opening hour on a Tuesday morning, and LOVED the delicious, filling two plates and latte ordered. Both dishes were really flavorful. I was sad to hear they didn't have banh mi for my Banh Mi Op La, but the brioche bun was still a delicious substitute. The sandwich itself was balanced with the saltier pork and egg flavors matching well to the pickled veggies and its sweetness. The mash was also incredibly filling with well-seasoned home fries and jalapeños that gave a great extra kick. I was excited to see they have fruit-flavored matcha from their Instagram, and the strawberry matcha was flavorful and definitely one of the better I've had in the city. Service was great as well. Everyone that came in after us were also tended to quickly, and we received our food and drink promptly. It was still early so we seated ourselves, but our waitress looked after we us well. Overall, a really great experience and excited to come back to try more of the menu!

Vegan Chao Ga no protein $10
    Tiffany T.

This review is for the Vegan Chao. The Breakfast Den itself is very cute, quaint, clean and efficient and friendly service. Both of my friends seemed to enjoy their crispy tofu banh mi. I was disappointed with my vegan chao. On the menu it says " can be made vegan" so we were all quite curious what they would do to substitute the egg and the crispy chicken skins. It turns out, they just omit the items and cook the porridge in a veg broth. I'm always very disappointed when the vegan option is omitting, but charging the same price of $10 for this bowl of rice, crispy shallots, and herbs. I will say that the chao was well seasoned and made. I would consider returning if I was in the neighborhood to try the banh mi - but otherwise wouldn't recommend the vegan chao ga.

We have eaten at the high tops, in the main dining room, and at the tables extending into The Harper lobby, and each area feels like part of the same unified experience. The colors and lighting inside are especially warm and inviting, giving the room a glow that feels cozy and uplifting, especially during a Philadelphia winter. Food remains at the center of the experience, and my order is always the Jerusalem bagel with egg and cheese. On the rare occasions when turkey bacon appears, I add it as a welcome delicacy and a little extra sustenance, though the bagel is already delicious on its own. The cinnamon sugar kubaneh, the chocolate chip cookie, and the Bloody Mary are excellent. K'Far has also expanded its selection of bowls and salads since we ate here most regularly, and they look consistent with the quality of everything else. These days, a full breakfast here does not always fit within our budget, but I still make a point of stopping in for OX Coffee, which is delicious and, happily, roasted in Philadelphia. The Yemenite latte is another distinctive pleasure, aromatic and satisfying without feeling like a novelty created merely for attention. The staff is consistently charming, welcoming, and composed, and the team's continuity and energy suggest that people genuinely enjoy working here. When our budget allows, I will absolutely return to eat. Perhaps the clearest expression of K'Far's brilliance arrives in one memory from a cold, radiantly sunny Saturday, when "Inspector Norse" by the Norwegian producer Todd Terje comes through the speakers as the restaurant buzzes around us. The track, the worldly crowd, and the aroma from the kitchen create the elusive feeling Steve Cook and Mike Solomonov understand so well: people go out to eat because they want to feel seen and be briefly transported into a more vivid version of life. I already love K'Far and The Hoxton as separate brands, so seeing them come together at The Hoxton in Williamsburg feels like an unusually natural and exciting partnership. Creating this kind of social magnetism inside a bakery and café is a subtle achievement, and Philadelphia is richer for having a place with this much flavor, warmth, and personality.

I ordered the House Angus Burger with sweet potato fries. It was solid, flavorful, and definitely filling. My friend got the Bella Vista Omelet with home fries, and we both agreed that while the food was good, it felt like standard brunch fare rather than anything particularly memorable. Based on the long wait and the hype surrounding Sabrina's, I think we were expecting the food to really stand out. In my opinion, the dishes we tried were comparable to what you'd find at a quality chain brunch spot like First Watch. That's not necessarily a bad thing, the food was satisfying, but it didn't quite justify the lengthy wait. That said, the menu has plenty of more unique and creative options that we didn't try. I'd be open to coming back and ordering one of those specialty dishes next time. Overall, I left satisfied with the meal and service.
