Huge Sanford Special breaded pork tenderloin sandwich and burger did not disappoint! The portions were massive, packed with flavor, and definitely worth the price. Service was fast, friendly, and our server recommended trying their homemade sauce with the breaded pork tenderloin and wow, it took it to another level. So good! Their homemade chips were also pretty good.

Boo. Ran out of breaded tenderloin at 5:30pm on a summer Saturday evening. Came here just for the BTL,..how do you not plan to have enough of your Sanfosignature dish??!! Substitute food was very good. But if I am rating on my dinning experience; it was a let down.

    Nachos

The service is always incredible and friendly! The drinks are always a bit mid, sorta what you'd have at a dive bar. This time I had the Nachos (added chicken) and they were good - mostly because instead of the traditional tortilla chips, they gave their home thin potato chips! I like the vibe here though, it's cozy and, yeah--breezy baby.

Stopped in for lunch and the place was completely empty @ 12pm but we stuck it out and ordered. The food was fantastic & the pork sandwich I ordered was as big as a bowling ball. I've never seen anything like it. The pork was really good and cooked perfectly. We will be going back

Just did a little stop here before going back home, and I ordered a Hurricane, and it was so good. The bartender did a great job, and she was very chill. The location outside is nice. I didn't try the food, but it looked and smelled very good

Sat the the patio great vibe and atmosphere. I had the grilled grouper with seasonal vegetables and it was flaky and delicious. All the other food that we ordered was great as well. The staff could not be any better friendly, and attentive. You can tell that practically everything here is house made down to the salad dressing!

This restaurant is only busy because either people ignore obvious violations, don't care, or just are not aware. On the surface, this looks like a great place; however, the things I saw and experienced is appalling! Customers must go outside at the back of the restaurant to the restrooms. This entails walking across a large area of brick colored tile, which was so greasy that it was an accident waiting to happen! When I reached (very carefully) the ladies room there was no AC. There were no paper towels, only a hand dryer. Most of the floor was wet, the tiny sink counter was covered with water and here comes the worst part... I went to flush the toilet and the toilet lifted off the floor. NO, I'm not kidding. They also had a large plastic bin on the floor catching water from the leaking toilet which was half full. On my way back from the restroom on the inside of the restaurant, there is a doorway on the left where you can take a glimpse into the kitchen. One look and you think to yourself, doesn't the Florida Health Board ever visit this place. Our server, Jacob was very cordial, but a couple of things he needs to do: First, stop preaching religion to your customers. Secondly, be more attentive. The food we ordered was very delicious, but honestly I was very hesitant on eating it after witnessing what the kitchen looked like. Now, as long as I have been a Yelper, I have to admit that up until today, I had no idea that you can go to Yelp, look up a restaurant, scroll down to information and read information from the health department on their reports of a particular restaurant. Had I known this ahead of time, my husband and I would have never, ever eaten at The Breezeway. From now on, I will be checking any and all restaurant health reports before eating at a restaurant. The health department reports on The Breezeway is NOT GOOD! BEWARE!

In town for a concert at Tuffy's and upon arrival, we were looking for a lunch spot in the Historic District. We chose to sit at the outside bar and Louis was our bartender/server. Very friendly and answered several questions about the area and things to do. Pet friendly as we made a pet friend at the bar. We each ordered a spicy Bloody Mary and ordered the Breezeway Tacos to share with blackened mahi that was amazing. Large portion of mahi! Definitely a wonderful breeze on a warm day - hence the name of the restaurant! When in town again, we'll definitely choose to go back.

Great option, service was quick, grabbed a bite before a show and had limited time. Outdoor seating was comfortable, and enjoyed the singer that was performing. I enjoyed my eggplant parm sandwich, I chose a side of coleslaw. We've dined before, no complaints what we've tried. Generous portions, reasonable prices.

I have now eaten here with a friend. I had the Breezeway burger. I asked if it came with anything? She said I could get coleslaw or fries. She did not say there was a $3 upcharge for the fries. (Until I got the bill and asked why the price was wrong.) The burger and fries were good. My friends Italian sandwich (I forget what they call it), she pronounced "okay". She also got the fries.

Ask the Community - The Breezeway

    Do they take reservations?

May I bring my small dog and sit outside? She's very docile and fully trained.

Yes you can. Just make sure to let the hostess know.

When is happy hour and what does it include?

This is no happy hour. Would be really awesome if they had one ,but no

Can someone with a seafood allergy eat here?

Yes. They have non seafood items such as burgers. They have an extensive menu. Many seafood dishes but also offerings for land lovers. My best recommendation are their cocktails. You only need one and drink it slowly

The drinks were reasonably priced, beautifully presented, and genuinely delicious--an unusually powerful combination in the world of enchanted cocktails. The menu also changes frequently, with the offerings themed around different events and occasions, which gives each visit the feeling of opening a new spellbook. As a witch doctor in search of the perfect concoction to summon a certain deity, I sampled the offerings with great determination. Though the deity remained elusive, the drinks certainly brought the evening to life. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was enjoyable, and the experience made for a memorable night with good company. If you're looking for delicious drinks, fair prices, and a menu with a little theatrical magic, the Capital Room is well worth visiting. You can come and enjoy a nice drink without getting alcohol. We also ordered a burger from their limited food menu. It was very good. Not in competition for best burger in Orlando or anything, but the flavors were on point, and bun was nice and soft, and the furikake dusted crinkle cut fries were the perfect side item. Cons: I tried a drink that wasn't supposed to be too sweet, but it was just too sweet for me. And a significant portion of the menu seems to be sweet drinks. Very tiki bar. My husband and I have not been to downtown Sanford but recently did come for a friend's birthday. She wanted to hop around different drink spots and have dinner. Since we carpooled, parking was better. We were able to find street parking. There is no designated parking for this spot. We got there very early and decided to stop here. We ended up coming back later with everyone but we enjoyed it. This is a small bar with standing room only at the bar but then they have a huge back area with lots of bench style tables and seating. Their drink menu is also very large with tons of beer options to choose from. They offered a wide range of beers, craft beer, stouts, ciders and more. I am not a huge craft beer fan so I struggled. I ended up telling the bartender what I like and he had a couple of suggestions. He also let me sample one of the ciders, which I ended up getting. I choose the Cider Boys Strawberry Cider. Really great, not overly sweet just very tasty. My husband loves craft beer and will always look for one with a high ABV. He went with the Voodoo Where our Secrets go Stout Imperial from Pennsylvania. It had a high ABV and was a dark beer, he really enjoyed it. Both times we sat outside. The second time we came over, was later in the evening and more full than the first time. They also had a musician singing, which made it extremely loud and very hard for our group to chat. Overall this is a great spot. If we lived closer I could see us coming here more frequently. We do not find ourselves visiting Sanford a lot but if we are in the area, we would for swing by again. If you live closer, I would highly recommend coming here for the vibes, the ambiance and the beers. You can also bring your dogs which is a nice touch. My only negative is there is not food to order. I would love some bar snacks or pub style food. You can bring your own food in but it would make this an A Plus if you they served food.
