I stopped by brewtorium a few times during my day at the Lone Star Zine Fest. It was fairly quiet inside, with some lovely polka music... but as the day went on the large brewery became crowded with people, the polka band started becoming more and more rowdy, there were Oktoberfest contests outside that were loud and festive. I thought it seemed so fun... I ordered a blues on the greens salad which featured blue cheese on spring mix with pecans, a vinaigrette, apples, and pork belly. So good! Service was quick... they texted me as soon as my order was out. I wish I had tried the brewhouse special with the pretzels and dip, I saw someone holding it later and it looked good. This place definitely has a lively Oktoberfest celebration and is worth it to experience the fest! read more

We decided to come here after the lunch rush and grab a bite with some beers. I was hoping for a good burger, but their two options did not appeal to me. They do have some pizza options, but they were overly eclectic and no build your own option. I have to admit there's one thing on their menu that I've never seen on any menu and that is for $10 you can buy a pitcher of a beer for the kitchen crew. I have to admit, their food menu is limited and not a reason I would come back here for. The good thing about this place is that their beers are very much on point and are worth returning for. The only thing that I would ding them for is that they do not have any guest taps for other local breweries except for cider and mead. Inside, this place looks pretty industrial and you'll notice that the floor of this space is basically unfinished as if they had just got done ripping out all the floor tile. If you venture down their long hallway, on the side, you'll discover they have a private room for a small party and next to it is an ax throwing room and bathrooms. The outdoor seating area with about 2+ dozen tables is at the end of the hallway. As for the food, the chicken sandwich I had was fairly dry and their burger was surprisingly small. Love this place! They have a large food menu, including options for vegetarians. They're always offering special menu items too. They have a large beer menu, so there's a style for everyone. They have some non-beer options as well. They have a large indoor space where they host musicians and craft fairs. There is also a backyard with some taps back there so you don't have to go far to refill your cup! read more

Fun place! We went to check out the art show and have a beer. There were tons of vendors and lots of cool things for sale. The venue itself is like a large Pinthouse Pizza (or Aviators)- long tables, open seating. You order at the counter and they text you when your order is ready. Our beers were great (though we don't remember their names). We also enjoyed a giant pretzel with mustard which was hot and delicious. There are plenty of beers to chose from, so give them a try. My Fiance and I go to the Brewtorium at least a few times each year. Our most recent visit was a get together for our friend's 40th birthday this weekend. Their parking lot is usually full but there is plenty of street parking which I usually prefer anyways. The Brewtorium has a great space. Plenty of space inside which was good for our party of 40; there still was a lot of space and tables open for the rest of the people there. They also have tables outside and sometimes have a bartender out there too. They usually have 10 or so of their beers as well as a bunch of other stuff too (wines/ciders/meads). Last night, I had their tropical ipa as well as a vienna lager and dunkel. All were pretty solid and I can generally say that's the case for most of the beers I've had there over time. They recently added an ax throwing business in the back and though we peeked in from outside, I haven't done it yet but it looked fun. It's usually well staffed and peek times and their staff is friendly and helpful. We haven't tried a lot of their food but we do get their pretzel and add beer cheese almost every visit. My fiance loves it and swears its the best pretzel she's gotten at a brewery. read more

Another random find on the map! Such a cute brewery to go to on a nice spring day! We ordered the Flamingo Bomb; a hazy IPA with notes of tropical fruit, coconut, and peach. I've been here a few times. We always get the giant pretzel with beer cheese; I've tried several different places and this beer cheese is better than most. The other go to is the brat, which comes with sauerkraut on a pretzel bun. For a side, the fries come in a little basket and are the skinny (~1/4") kind. They're cooked properly and I highly recommend the garlic aioli to dip them in. (You could get ketchup, but why pass up this opportunity?) There are enough good beers of different varieties to satisfy anyone's preference. Each I've tried has been a good representation of the variety. A couple of my favorites were the hazy IPAs, a barrel aged stout, and a honey blond ale called Flying Hive. There are outside tables in nice weather if you want to bring your dog. Great venue for gatherings or moderate size events. Definitely worth a visit. read more

I love the chill vibes of this brewery. Plenty of seating space so you can find a table even on weekends. They have a great selection of beers, ciders and meads. We've been coming here since it opened. It has been one of our go-tos ever since. But I think we're finally done. We've seen ups and downs over the years but the past 3-4 times we've noticed they seem to have firmly landed on crazy high food prices, mediocre quality, small portions, and nickle-and-diming. $18 for a small dry Reuben? $14.50 for a small burger? $1.50 a piece for dipping sauces for the pretzel that's 1/3 smaller and 1/3 more expensive than it used to be? We tolerated the price hikes for a while because the portions and quality were still there and neither are anymore. The beers remain great and $7.50 is comparable but food has just gotten out of hand. read more

The place is ok, not any different than other similar businesses. The lager beer I had was excellent, I didn't try any of the food. Only con about this place and maybe it was just the individual serving the drinks, but I was not allowed to buy two drinks at a time, so as not to have to stand in the long line again for a second drink, while my buddy next to me was allowed to purchase 2 at one time. When I returned to purchase 2 more beers, same server, allowed me to do so this time and was charging $19 dollars and change for 2 beers costing $7.50 each. I then asked to purchase the pitcher of beer costing $25.00 and was then charged $35.00. When I inquired as to the uncharge the server stated she had rounded up the price from $33. and change. I know there are taxes involved here, but the price descrepency is pretty steep already without the added rounding up measure used by the server. read more

I love this brewery! The outdoors seating at night was really cute..! I let my inner harry potter out and enjoyed some mead from the tap lol. The flammkuchen german style pizza was delicious. Went for the Oktoberfest event and was a really good time! The food menu was overhauled to feature more German fare. We had the pretzel, curry wurst, and chicken lollipops and they were all good. The beer cheese was a little watery but the pretzel had good flavor. The chicken lollipops were also very worth it they had a nice hint of sweetness. The service was fast, our number was called less than 10 minutes after ordering which was great because we came hungry. They also had some fun Oktoberfest themed games. I participated in the barrel rolling and sauerkraut eating contest. The competition was friendly and engaging and it really enhanced our experience. Overall I would come back to this event again next year. It's even family friendly so you can bring your kids! read more

Oktoberfest at the Brewtorium is officially my favorite October activity in Austin! My friends and I came and had the opportunity to experience such a fun and pleasant time. From the live band to the delicious curry wurst, schmorgasbord (spelling probably really wrong lol), and seasonal beer, this place had it all. We participated in the various Beer Olympic events to include the barrel roll (which yours truly placed 1st -humble brag), blindfolded drawing, and sauerkraut eating contest. The winners from each contest won a trophy, free drink, and $30 gift card to axe throwing. Overall, the staff was amazing, entertaining, and everyone had a great time! read more

This place is fine. The whole seating situation is confusing. You're supposed to get assigned a table at the bar, but the sign is hard to see and if the line is long it seems like groups tend to seat themselves and send a person to the line. Then, the food menus are only at the bar or at a table with a QR code, so it's confusing how you're supposed to look to decide what you want, and you have to decide on the spot at the bar. After all that, our table was actually taken and we had to be reassigned, which isnt a big deal but the whole thing seems unnecessary. Regarding food and drink, our pretzel was good but my Cobb salad was pretty bland. It was a solid burger with a good pickle but the potato wedges or whatever they are supposed to be are mushy and not like fries or chip. They were sold out of brats. My beer was tasty, I got the Confabulator, but my partners beer was terrible. He got the "Mark It 8, Dude," which is described as "toasty, smokey and not out of line." It tastes only of artificial smoke and caramel. I drinkable in my opinion. Probably won't be back. read more

It has a large open hall that sort of looks like a brewery, but it primarily caters to corporate events with its large back areas. The whole thing sort of reeks of that. The food is mediocre. I ordered a hazy ipa and a west coast ipa. Both were solid. For food I ordered the spicy ranch bowl and added avocado--on the plus side, the ingredients were fresh and it tasted healthy, but it was lacking flavor. Not only was the cashier abrupt and rude, I could tell he wasn't in the mood to serve me or my wife. Can't speak to the beer but our happy hour work crowd all enjoy the selection. The ambiance is nice, indoor and outside sitting. Can get loud that is to be expected. You order at the counter and they bring your food and drink to you. They have sodas and water for non-drinkers. No coffee but there a coffee shop next store. I like their pizza but LOVE their soft pretzel and their queso is solid. Accessibility: accessible parking spots right up front, good amount of room. Challenge is the ramps are a walk and the ramp closest to the parking is a longer ramp. I usually go up the steps as there is a handrail but the steps are pretty large and take them one at a time. I usually take the ramp down as descending is more challenging for me. Inside is roomie and you can eat at a table or booth in a wheelchair. There are some high tables and chairs but had no issues finding a lower table. Biggest issue is if it's raining. The outer walk up is cement and indoors is too. Some gripness to the floor but usually need to take it slow and easy. I've only been to the back one and it was rocks, pretty common but always challenging to me for balance and taking a step. read more

AMAZING!!! My wife and I took another trip down to Austin to try a new restaurant. While driving to another place we saw this huge sign advertising The Brewtorium. We continued driving and said we needed to go back next time we're in Austin and my wife began looking at their menu. After a few minutes of talking we had to turn around and try out this place. I was otw to my air bnb from the airport and knew it would be a tough task to find food without a car. Idk what I did to get so lucky but not only was Brewtorium open but was within walking distance (0.2 mi)!! When I got there I ordered the signature smash burger, fries and a beer. The bartender didn't seem very enthusiastic about answering any of our questions or just being there in general. The crab rangoon nachos were extremely disappointing. My Cobb salad was $12.50 with an additional $4.00 to add chicken. When it came out, it looked like it had one handful of mixed greens and the chicken was dry as hell! Just appalled that you can you serve something like this. I could have gone to Chipotle for a more quality and filling salad. My husband's sandwich looked more like a slider size and the side of fries was in a little tin cup all for $12.75. He left hungry. This is amazing place to just eat, drink and relax. We had very great time, we got their fresh pretzel, the black bean salad was to die for. We also got the brachos, that's their chips topped with sole German sauces, scallops and onions. The place is big, has ample amount of space inside as well as outside. A lot of parking on the right of the building with some spots on the street as well. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable, they have good chef who knows what he is doing while pairing it with their beer. They have amazing beers, some soft soda options and hard ciders as well. In the back they have Celtic axes, we went there on an open day and Thor was very accommodating and helped us get trained. We played many games and over all had a great time. Hello All, I've been living in ATX for 3 years and tried almost every brewery in town and the Brewtorium is by fast the best in my book. The Brewmasters know what they are doing, always having a great variety of beers. The Electric Ledenhosen is such a great beer. I've been recommending this place to many folks for the past two years that I've been going here. I would always recommend getting the pretzel with the beer cheese which was pretty amazing until they switched to a queso cheese. I highly recommend this place for some brews but hope they will soon bring back the beer cheese with cheddar again! read more
