Cutest little hidden ! Came here after church with a friend. Heads up no restrooms and you have to ring the doorbell and wait to be let in. I had the pad Thai with chicken and added shrimp, and a lychee tea. My friend had a curry noodle soup. We both loved our food and I loved the tea! Most importantly, we didn't feel gross after eating. It's so amazing when you can have a full meal and because it's made with real ingredients, you feel fueled after not gross. The customer service was amazing, the girl was soo sweet and so fast and attentive. The menus are accessible via QR codes which I loved bc it left more space on the table

Delicious and quick service. Don't miss the epic Nas mural around the corner. The restaurant looked closed, but when you ring the bell they let you in. The hand clothes to get clean are a nice touch. If I'm ever in the neighborhood again, I'll stop by.

I loved the food at The Buffs! It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall and you have to ring a doorbell in order to enter. It seems they're used to more takeout orders, but they have a really cute seating area inside and I was the only one in the small restaurant. Service was ran by one woman and she was very sweet. I ordered the larb and pad see ew. The larb came out first and was a pretty generous portion. Fresh veggies, large slivers of onion, and pork tossed in a tangy, sweet, spicy sauce. Delicious and the perfect compliment to my noodles. I was actually brought out the pad thai, but I like that too so not really complaining, especially since the dish was so good. The noodles are chewy and the sauce is savory and balanced. The fried tofu in the dish was good too. You can tell everything is freshly made. Food was delicious and service was great. I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in the area.

Cute dine in restaurant in Astoria /Long Island near the Windham by Windgate. Extensive.menu prepared fresh from scratch Thai food. We were intrigued with the Buffs Surprise, that comes with 1 appetizer, 1 Curry dish, 1 entree and a drink, for 2 people. This was a very special treat. The starter was perfect balance of coating and veggie. The Curry had a wonderful zesty flavor with just the right balance of sweet and sour. The beef was tender and the green pepper and carrots slices adorned with the sauce was wonderful. Our server, the chefs wife was very helpful in her recommendations We also enjoyed our homemade Bobba Sodas, one a Mango delight, the other a fantastic blueberry. This is the place to dine if you're in the area!!!

Incredible service -- the best I've experienced in New York -- and delicious food. When my boyfriend asked for ice, they gave him a small tub full. I've gone here multiple times and never had a bad experience

Late night at a hotel in Long Island City , Queens & we decided to check out this place, very small location that seats under 19 people, almost feels like eating in someone's covered back yard that serves delicious food that few people know about. Location is small, hidden away but cozy, felt like we were in a backyard cafe in BangRak Thailand. The owner & hostess was ridiculously pleasant & made us feel very welcomed from the moment she opened the door to let us in. We started with some coconut soup & crab Rangoon both of which were really flavorful & delicious, the chicken Satay seem to have baking soda & as not impressive to me but the peanut sauce that it came with was really great & carried it, the Drunken Noodles were 10/10 delicious & done perfectly, the Mango Sticky Rice was almost exceptional given my lowered expectation that the mango would have been average for the time of year but it wasn't, my only issue was that it was a tad bit sweet but I am overly sensitive to sweet so that may have just been me but I would definitely recommend it & order it again. All the ingredients, especially the vegetables were fresh, flavorful & crunchy. This place seem like the secret grandmothers kitchen that serves up authentic home style food in small batches that would lose its essence if scaled up, I love it & would recommend the Buffs many times over & will definitely revisit & add to my list of authentic & great Thai food.

Really really good food! I was impressed by how fresh and well made the crispy duck was. The waitress was super friendly and pretty attentive , although she was the only one taking care of all takeouts and dine ins. Would highly recommend!

You have to ring the doorbell, but once you do they will open the door and it's a really cute and small space! They have a few tables for seating but they get a lot of take out orders. We got the Tom Yum Soup and the Vegetable Spring Rolls to start with and they were both really delicious!! The pad Thai with chicken was very average - it was a bit dry.

Love the presentation of food, cutesy and bohemian decor and friendly service here! It looks like a family business catering Thai food at a reasonable price. A small yet perfect spot for a quick fix when craving for simple Thai food.

So cute and totally empty on a weekday at 1:45. Lunch special is only $12!

Adorable little Thai spot next to Queensbridge with budget- and vegetarian-friendly lunch specials. There are always plenty of seats for weekday lunchtimes. The decor is kitschy and it's definitely no-frills, but the food is presented nicely and it's so yummy!

Everything about this place is perfect. When you enter through the (locked) door at the entrance, at first black curtains surround you but pushing through them uncovers a small, surprising interior. You notice that everything is wondrously decorated and the space provides a comforting escape from the cold weather outside. I got the green curry with tom yum soup and was amazed by the size of portions - larger than any other thai lunch place I can remember, and I had no complaints about taste either. The quality and presentation of food along with the spotless interior decor really communicated to me how much love they put into the restaurant and the dining experience they try to provide for every customer. I felt very at home with how attentive and accomodating the staff were and the generous portion sizes certainly didnt hurt. Another patron even asked them for an iPhone charger which they happily provided and were able to give her seating closer to the outlet. When I exited they even said goodbye from the kitchen! My only regret is not visiting sooner but I'll definitely be back soon. Only downside may be that they have no restroom.

(Overall: 85% | B) - Overall, the service was satisfactory and the shop itself is a tiny and cute one. After a long red eye, the first meal I had in LIC was here and was relatively satisfied! (Pad Thai: 95% | A) - I was very satisfied with this Pad Thai as it has all the forward and pronounced flavors I'm looking for in the dish. The noodles and meat were both properly cooked. The presentation and portion size are both more than satisfactory too! (Tom Kha: 70% | C) - I was expecting this soup to be a little more spicy, which as a result made the soup too sweet. The addition of tomatoes is interesting, but there was too much onion in the soup. IG: @amei.eats

The tofu from the curry and chicken from the pad see ew was obviously reheated/recooked several times. I absolutely loved the curry but I made a mistake coming close to closing. I 100% would come back closer to opening. I'm a big fan of drunken noodles so the noodles and vegetables itself were great. The curry was also fantastic with the vegetables (minus the tofu). The mackerel in the chu chee should've had more sauce but it was good. There should have been another mackerel since it wasn't very filling. The Thai tea was very nice - I enjoyed swirling toix the condensed milk and rest of the drink to create the nice flavor. The vibes are that of a holl in the wall off of main Street and there is a partly torn down 3 side wall where you check in. The ambiance is very nice and small, I enjoyed it.

The kitchen here doesn't shy away from traditional flavors--the food is unapologetically spicy and savory, avoiding the "overly sweet" profile that many Thai spots fall into. Here's the breakdown of what we tried: Tom Yum Goong: This was the star of the show. It had a sharp, clean heat and a perfect citrus punch without that syrupy finish you often find elsewhere. Crispy Pork Belly: Exactly what you want it to be. The skin was incredibly crunchy, and the meat remained tender, seasoned perfectly to highlight the savory pork flavor. Fried Fish: Deep-fried to perfection with a light, crispy exterior. The sauce paired chili and fish sauce with fresh mango. Crab Fried Rice: Generous with the crab meat and wonderfully "wok-hei" (charred) and salty. It wasn't bogged down by sweet soy sauce, allowing the delicate crab to shine. The only real sweetness of the night came from the Mango Sticky Rice, which was the perfect, cooling end to a very spicy meal. The mango was ripe and the coconut milk was rich, providing the only sugary reprieve of the evening. Service was so nice. The hostess and sever were so nice and friendly. The severer felt like a Thai uncle, he made jokes, gave us napkins, joked with my child. It felt so familial. The papaya salad with green papaya, string bean, tomato and roasted peanut with spicy lime juice was refreshing and light. The Pad woon sen has sauteed glass noodle, egg, onion, scallion, cabbage, celery, carrot, tomato and sesame oil. The second time I visited, I had the Pad see ew with beef. The Pad see ew has sauteed wide noodles with Chinese broccoli, black soy sauce, and egg. Both dishes were very flavorful, delicious, delectable, and appetizing. The dishes were very filling and there was a good proportion of noodles and protein. I've had the Rainfall in Loei and Fang Martini Time, both are really good drinks and not overly strong. We shared the mango sticky rice for dessert and it was good. The mango was very fresh and the sticky rice with coconut milk was sweet, but not overly. My friends ordered the Kopi De Trang, Spicy Maesai Plum, Rainfall in Loei, Thai ice tea lychee, pad see ew with chicken, pad kee mao beef (non spicy), and khao soi gai confit. I ordered a pad kee mao beef with a spice level of 2 to go. It is a great option to have a spicy and non spicy option for pad kee mao. Everyone enjoyed their food.
