Over the past two years, we've spent a significant amount of money with Homeshield to replace attic insulation and treat our home for rodent mites caused by repeated mouse infestations. Our insulation warranty was supposed to include service to prevent mice from re-entering the attic, yet new openings continue to appear and remain unaddressed. Each time an inspection is done, it takes weeks to schedule a follow-up appointment to actually seal the openings. Recently, after hearing mice again--now with a newborn in our home--we contacted Homeshield immediately. A technician quickly confirmed there were openings near our A/C line that needed to be patched, but for two weeks we were told they couldn't schedule the repair because the technician hadn't submitted the required diagram. When an appointment was finally scheduled, no repair was done--only additional traps were placed in the attic. After escalating the issue, we were told a manager could come re-inspect the home, but not until nearly a month after the initial report. At this point, I'm frustrated by the lack of follow-through and the amount of time I've had to spend chasing updates. We are simply not receiving the service promised under our insulation warranty and monthly maintenance plan, and we will likely be switching vendors soon. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not recommend Homeshield Pest Control.

They've always been reliable, professional, and incredibly responsive. If I text with a question, they text back. There was one time I was accidentally charged, and they refunded it immediately without any hassle. The owner has always been kind and easy to work with, and every technician we've had has been respectful and professional. One thing that really stood out to me recently was when we got a new puppy. A technician accidentally left our gate open, but instead of ignoring it, he personally texted me to apologize and took full responsibility. That kind of accountability says a lot about the people they hire and the culture they've built. As for the actual pest control--they do a great job. We rarely see spiders or bugs throughout the year. When summer rolls around and the ants start showing up, they come out and handle it quickly. If the ants get especially bad, they'll even come back for an extra service. Honestly, our biggest ant problem comes from neighboring properties, so that's not something any company can completely control, but they do everything they can to keep it under control. I get pest control companies knocking on my door all the time trying to earn my business, and I never even consider switching. Good customer service is hard to find these days, and this team consistently delivers it. Highly recommend.

I decided to give them a call to explain that I had an attic clean out by an insulation company recently to remove a previous rat infestation but after they cleaned it out I noticed a few spots of rat poop scattered. It seemed old but I wanted to be sure before we had the insulation put back in. I spoke with Teresa who was very friendly and kind and said she could get a tech to come out as quickly as the next day. The cost was very reasonable for an inspection and weekly follow-ups. I had no idea what to expect but wanted an honest company to do business with. We scheduled the appointment that week at a time that worked for me, she gave me a window and the technicians name. Joaquin was on time, ready to work, asked me questions, respected my home by wearing shoe booties and even gave me some tips and tricks to consider to prevent rodent activity. He was honest, I wasn't rushed and he reassured me that he did not find any evidence that there were rats up there. Turns out the insulation company missed a few spots because it was older rat feces. Joaquin ended up not charging me for the services although I wanted to at least give him a tip for his time and honesty he did not take it. To find an honest company who values customer service, friendly demeanor and thorough is very hard to find. Eliot parked in front of the house (not on my driveway), wore shoe covers in the house, thoroughly explained what he was going to do, asked for permission before he entered my garage, knocked on any closed doors, and sprayed both inside and outside the house.
