So we stoped in here today. Well it's better than Five Guy's only because the burger stays in the bun. The meat was flavorless but was cooked to perfection other wise. The fries tasted good but were not all that hot when we got our order. Two burgers both with fries and one 16oz drink split came to $18 and change. I would give it 5 star but luke warm fries and no seasoning on the burger held you back. This was my second time eating there. The first time the service was extremely slow. About 50 minutes for one burger, phone in order. When I get home with my meal, it was a completely different meal than I ordered. I decided to give them a few weeks and try again. I went again today and nothing has changed. It took 45 minutes for one burger, phone in order. I get home, and notice that I got a regular double burger instead of the Lucy burger which is supposed to have a bunch of cheese melted in between both patties. I'm really disappointed in this place. I got a fried chicken dish that was paper thin, cold, and small. My mother ordered the tacos which were full of burnt gristle that usually sits at the bottom of the fryer. I don't ever write reviews because I've worked in this business for a long time and I know that things happen, so it must be pretty bad if I do. And it was. This place is terrible and used to be pretty good. It has obviously gone way downhill. 2 adults and a small child. We ordered $50 in food wihich is outrageous in itself. I ordered the Lucy which takes 20 minutes to cook for some reason. Our wings came out first which were luke warm but we ate them because we were hungry. Then the burgers came my wife's was burnt but she ate it. Mine wasn't even a Lucy. It was just a double cheeseburger which is like $6 less than $15 what I paid for the Lucy, I ate 2 bites and then realized it. Cashier was happy to make me another one. So we waited almost 30 minutes. Everyone was finished eating and I got my Lucy and it came with apologies. Well, i took 2 bites and it was so burnt on both sides that I could barely stomach it. And the cheese inside was so hot and lava -like it squirted out and burnt my hand. It was so overcooked it wasn't even cheese anymore. At that point we had been sitting there for an hour and a half and I just wanted my money back for the Lucy since it wasn't even edible. My wife took it to the counter and asked for our money back and the guy working the counter said the Manager wouldn't refund our money because it was half eaten. Very disappointing experience, one of the worst ever for me. And left me very unsatisfied. We will never be back. And I'm sure we're not the only ones. This is just bad business. And this craphole will be closed soon if they keep operating like this. You have 1 job . Cook burgers. You can't even do that. It's not that hard. Find some staff that can cook a burger and start from there. Good luck!! read more

If you're in the mood for mediocre burgers that you will wait 45 minutes to get, struggle for parking and then enjoy some of the worst service ever you'll enjoy the Rosenberg burger barn. This place fails on so many levels its ridiculous. We had to try it since hearing of the burger but after eating there, they're no better than a 5 guys burger and that only takes 5 minutes to get and the people are allot nicer and professional. I'll say this first: I know I visited this location the second day of opening...I'm sure they'll work out the kinks. :] Ordered the jalapeño burger combo (fries & drink) and jumbo spicy lemon pepper wings TOGO. The wait was a little longer than usual ( around 15-20 min turnaround)...since the buzz of their grand opening yesterday. The burger and fries did not withstand my 10 minute drive home. As of now, I wouldn't recommend burgers or fries to go. The bottom burger bun was a soggy mush and it seemed as if my veggies were thrown on (in a rush I assume). Fries were soggy upon arrival, but I could tell were fresh cut potatoes with no seasoning....no even salt...womp womp. I also had a limeade with my order...the first cup was great...my refill tasted totally different...batches were inconsistent I guess.... The spicy lemon pepper wings: Not spicy at all..and I didn't get any lemon flavor. They're not as 'jumbo' as I envisioned them to be either...just average in size. Location: Across the street from Rudy's awesome spot to be...tons of traffic at both locations 11-1 and 4-6....beware! Overall, I was more impressed and pleased with the service than my meal. My family and I stopped by the other night and being that its just opened it was packed and weve heard that itll take an hour to get our food. After ordering we timed it and it was just under half an hour ... not bad in my opinion for the crowd it had. The burgers were awesome and it was a pretty big menu. We also ordered the fried pickles and they turned out great. And the price for the menu wasnt bad at all, it was actually lowered than what I was expecting. We stopped by today on our lunch break. I always try to find new places to eat. I am leaving a 5 star review because the female behind the counter was courteous and the burger was great. The gentleman on the other hand seemed to be in a bad mood (smile next time say hi, "your welcome") and the restrooms could use a little bit of cleaning. Let me first say... I NEVER write reviews. However, I experienced such horrible customer service at the Burger Barn that I created a Yelp account WHILE I was dining in with my family! I've eaten here twice. The first time was about a week or two after they opened and I was not pleased with the wait time. Usually, once I'm turned off by a place, I never come back but I knew they were new and still working out a few kinks so I returned well after their grand opening. Here is how my second visit went... My family of 5 arrived at the burger barn. My mom went to place our order (30 medium wings, fries, fried pickles, and an enchilada plate). The line wasn't very long but it felt like my mom was at the bar for forever. We received our fried pickles first and then the wings + plate. We noticed that the wings were drained in sauce so we asked "Are these medium wings?" the lady that served our food said "no these are hot" I said... "Oh, well we ordered medium wings" She then continued placing the rest of our food at our table, she glanced at the order receipt and without even making eye contact- she just walked away! I thought out loud... "maybe she's going to tell the cooks," and then my sister said, "or maybe shes just ignoring us." My sister was right, she was ignoring us. She never came back to our table. At that point, I was already irritated. The next thing we noticed was that they gave my brother in law the wrong enchiladas. He didn't bother complaining, he just ate them. Next, my nephew decided he wanted to pay to play a song from the jukebox but he needed change for a dollar. So my mom went to go ask for change for a dollar and the man (idk his name!) says, "I don't have any change to spare." Ok, fine. I guess this is reasonable. But something was telling me that this guy was just being a jerk because we complained about our wings. Now these next two "events" really ticked me off. 1) my familly was sharing wings so we needed plates to distribute, maybe this isn't normal procedure for everybody but it's what WE do. So the guy came by and my mom grabbed his attention and said, "excuse me, can we have some plates" he then replied... "what do you need plates for?" I mean... REALLY? we've never been questioned about why we needed something as basic as plates! My mom replied, "to put our wings on." He goes to get the plates and check this out... he comes back, stands right next to my mom, and instead of placing them on the table like a decent human being or handing them to her politely, he stands next to her and puts them right in front of her face so that SHE can grab them out of HIS hand. Oh man, it took everything in me not to go off on this man for disrespecting my mother like that! 2) Our wings were too spicy, so we had about 20 left over, almost the whole order! My mom went to go ask for a box. She comes back and tells us that when she asked the owner (I'm assuming) told her, "what do you need a box for?" LOL..... THIS GUY! My mom was so fed up she said, "I need a box for my wings. they were hot and we order medium, and besides that- they weren't all that anyways." I really wanted to like this place, it's the reason why I gave it a second try. I like that they bring something new to the area and I'm sure that they already have loyal customers, but I will not be one. We are not the only ones to have experienced such unprofessionalism by the employee's that run this place, other family members have as well. This business needs a serious wake up call- treat every customer with respect because it's not just one customer you're losing, it's every person that they share their experience with. These people may decide to try the place out, but they'll already be skeptical and any little thing has the possibility too turn these customers off. My family LOVES wings, and when we have birthday dinners we usually drive all the way to first colony to a place called Wings N Things (best wings ever!) and I thought the Burger Barn would be a nice alternative for our large parties because of the proximity, but after this past experience, I can't see myself eating there ever again. The food is good. I love the fried pickles and the burger that I had during my first visit. However, good food isn't enough to keep me coming back if I have to endure horrible customer service. It's just not worth it to me. OH! The skinny lady with the long black hair is the one that served us our food. While we were eating, we noticed that she would gather the trash + replace the bags, go back to pick up an order, serve the order, and then go back to mess with the trash. She did all of this wearing NO gloves! She was the only one serving food that day. Also, if you order fried pickles- be aware that there may be fried jalapenos mixed in the basket. You wouldn't really be able to distinguish from the two until you bite into them like my 5 year old nephew did. I'd hate for someone to have an allergic reaction. read more

The environment is fitting for the name and dining. The speed of food delivery is good. The meat they used for the burgers, however, is bland and cooked dry. We went here for Father's Day and were in and out quickly. Decent size for a couple medium sized groups. The fries were delicious.
