Pizza, lemonade and dessert for kids priced at $12 drinks not included. We got our boys lemonade. Appetizer was Calamari which was fresh melted in your mouth. Husband had the old fashion while I had a cab sav from Paso to go with our food. I had the cioppino and my husband had the Atlantic salmon with risotto. My only comment was the crab in my cioppino was not fresh. I can tell that the crab was already cooked when added to the dish.... Yes I can tell. Overall food was great. I wouldn't order the cioppino again because of the crab. DJ was our waitress. Loved her. She made us feel like family. With a 3 and 7 year old she made us feel comfortable and interacted with our boys. Makes a difference when you have great waitresses!

The weather was a bit chilly so we ate inside but they have lovely outdoor seating available which would be really pleasant on a warm day. Appetizers: eggplant rollatini Coconut prawns - both were delicious. If you enjoy eggplant I highly recommend the rollatini. Dinner: everyone in our party ordered the beef Wellington except for 1 Chilean sea bass. All was cooked perfectly and I think the Wellington should be a house special Kyle was our server and he was extremely friendly and went above and beyond with asking when to bring out the entrees so that we weren't rushed thru the shareables and could enjoy the meal and conversation There was a nice birthday surprise which was complimentary and made my son feel very special Will definitely return to Ladera Grill

The tablet on booth tables is awesome! It kept the kiddo entertained and made check out zippy. Food portions were a little small for the price but oh well. This is a specific review due to a service experience though. We arrived in the late afternoon on a weekend. It wasn't empty but was far from full. The hostess immediately sat us at the bar without asking our preference despite there being many open tables in the restaurant area. Not great, but not a huge deal. Our server himself was also a little slow, but nothing I'd normally write about. The reason for my complaint is we went to Red Robin to collect my loyalty birthday burger. I ordered the Tavern Burger "meal" (burger with a side which they all include, and a soft drink) and a regular entree for her. Our server, Jeremiah (?) was great with drink refills but didn't even attempt to bring us our bill so after waiting I tried to use the kiosk. It wouldn't let me use my free burger. I finally flag him down he says, "it's not eligible on the deal". I say, "well can't you ring up the burger and the drink separately then?". He says no and refuses to try. I should have asked for a manager or at least gotten him back on the tip, but I'm too nice to wait staff I guess. So because he rang it up as a "meal" where the only difference is a ~$3 soft drink, I got screwed and had to pay full price FOR THE WHOLE THING plus I didn't ever even get to redeem my birthday reward for being a loyal customer.

Well it's a sports bar and grill with extras for layout. Extras being an elevated eating area mimicking a boxing ring with the ropes and the megatron with TV screens. Speaking of TV's, looks like 9 good size ones out on the floor and another 4 at the bar. Also, a few chain link fences for that ball park feel. Lots of penants, pictures, plaques and signs on the walls including neons. Full bar, decent beer selection and a few wines. We split The Parker chicken sandwich and back to the freeway. Would recommend.

Never bothered to stop in until I saw a recent post on Next Door from someone that said they went there and had the best Patty Melt they ever had there. I'm not a fan of Rye bread but I do love a good burger. So today we decided to give Box Seat a shot. Spoiler alert, I wish we hadn't. We walked in and were immediately assaulted by some loud kids that were playing some games to the immediate left of the entrance. Right in front of you when you walk in is a raised seating area set up like a boxing ring. Kind of cool. We looked around for a host stand or someone to tell us where to sit but there wasn't anybody. At first I thought of sitting at the bar but after looking at the VERY limited selection of alcohol they had I decided that we might as well just sit at a table. So we seated ourselves at a table next to be boxing ring area and waited to be greeted. I only noticed one fat Caucasian lady that was serving. She tended to a couple of her tables and then began cleaning up a few tables without ever acknowledging us. So after being ignored for about 5 minutes I decided to just go sit at the bar. We sat down and the female bartender looked at us, no greeting, then went and grabbed a couple of menus and asked if we wanted anything to drink. We started with water and then began perusing the menu. I decided to get the Warrior burger, (Swiss cheese, bacon, grilled onions, sriracha sauce, lettuce, tomato, and pickles), minus the Sriracha. I thought the burgers here were a bit over priced. Pretty much everything is $20 and up. But I guess that's pretty much true of everywhere you do nowadays. Thanks Trump. I also ordered a Paloma to drink. The drink tasted weird, like it had some kind of spice in it. I've had many Paloma's over the years and the never tasted like this. I thought maybe the glass wasn't clean and had some left over flavor from another drink. I caught the bartenders attention and told her of the issue. She just kind of looked at me and then said, "So you want me to remake it?" I said, "Yes" and she made another one but it still tasted the same. So something was off, like maybe the lime or grapefruit juice they use was bad, who knows. The burgers arrived and they were indeed quite good. However the fries must have been sitting around for a while because they were cold. So the bottom line about Box Seat is that the food is decent but between the surly bartender and being ignored by the waitress, the service here sucks. Maybe I should have known this wasn't my kind of place when I saw that everyone inside, from the front of the house staff to every single customer inside was white.

They just weren't checking in on us. Granted we were in the corner near the entrance and kind of tucked away which was nice. The place also was not busy as it was 530 on a Sunday with plenty of open tables. But near the end, they seem to be more attentive. There's lots of parking nearby on the street and in a covered parking lot where you could charge up your car if you needed to. And easily assessable if you were in a wheelchair.
