I was craving a good burger at lunch and I found it right here. It was 12:12 when I walked in so I wasn't sure how busy they were. They weren't full but obviously very busy. Even then, they had me in and out in less than 45 minutes. The bacon and cheese that I had was cooked to my liking, medium rare. My tater tot side was hot & crispy. My husband and I stopped by on a whim for lunch and we are so glad we did! This is seriously the best burger I've had. It was juicy, had great flavor and it was so big that I couldn't finish it. The environment was fantastic as well! It has an old train around the ceiling and vintage, quirky decor. The staff was extremely friendly and very attentive. Food was just like homemade burger and onion rings. Really good! Incredibly nice people! There weren't many people working (I only saw 2) so it took a few minutes to get my order. This little burger joint sits inside the old Jerry Van Dyke's place and is ran by a young couple and friends/family. They serve some of the most flavorful burgers in town...and I'll go as far as the state! The prices are phenomenal...my family of seven (two adults, three kiddos, and two lil ones) eat for a lil over $30 and everyone is stuffed! As I work in Little Rock, the hours of operation for The Burger Shack have made visiting this wonderful place a bit challenging. During our Christmas break my wife and I made a point to try it. In the heart of downtown Benton lies The Burger Shack! If I had to chose only one downtown restaurant to eat at for the rest of my life, this would be the one! The amazing faith driven owners have created such a special place here. The food is all amazing and trust me when I say I have eaten everything on the menu (I use to work at Green Eyed Frog and ate here DAILY for a solid 4ish months, I was that addicted). The burgers are so flavorful and loaded with all your favorite toppings. The chicken salad sandwich is a must try, it's just great. The house made chips are so yummy and crispy and little potato perfections. The seasoned fries & onion rings are great and come in a large portion. Check out Facebook for their daily specials like hamburger steak, Fish, Chicken Spaghetti and chicken salad stuffed tomatoes! They also have this chocolate pie somethings that is just so dang good. Located in historic downtown Benton, this place has some of the architectural features that give it that feel: high ceilings, black and white linoleum floors, and sculpted tin tiled ceilings. Sadly, the electric train mounted up high on a track that circles the main dining area was not running. On the table was a placard that said that the various typical country vegetable sides (cabbage and fried okra, for example) are offered on Monday thru Wednesday. We assumed that was to go with the daily lunch plate special for $7.99, but were then told the special was nachos. Strange combo! We decided instead to eat what jives with the name of the joint and were not disappointed. The buns were soft and fresh, the lettuce was crunchy, and the patty tasted and looked homemade. The regular hamburger was the perfect size for a smaller appetite, and my husband was pleased with the double cheeseburger. We also tried the onion rings which were crunchy, tasty and not too greasy. Service was friendly and helpful and our waitress knew the menu...down to the number of ounces of meat per each type of burger (5 ounces on the regular burger, in case you were wondering!). All in all, a good diner burger experience and, judging by the number of locals, a reliable one. read more

Excellent food! I had the Jumbo cheeseburger, it was delicious! The meat as tasty as I've ever had, obviously never frozen and maybe locally butchered.
