Great workout, support, personalized motivation and energy. Easily as good as personal training I've done in the past. Very happy!

I gave this facility a chance...a full year of membership. But today I'll be canceling. Somehow…read moremanagement thought it would be ok to have someone use BLEACH IN ITS POWDER (A CAUSTIC CHEMICAL) to scrub the BLACK MOLD from the side of the pool INTO THE POOL WHILE PEOPLE WERE STILL SWIMMING INSIDE!!!! This was the last straw. So much poor management I've witnessed throughout my time, especially with the pool. The water is always milky and has an overpowering scent of chlorine which leads me to suspect the pH is very off and they don't properly check and maintain pool cleanliness. They had their cleaning people use strong chemicals to clean the pool deck and windows during open hours. Random times they would shut down the pool without any prior notice via email or postings or otherwise. Lockers rooms always stank. This is not the case at other gyms I've been to. The premier memberships options like the recovery room and towel service were subpar compared to other Onelife facilities. Many times the hydromassage beds were not working and the red light recovery room's ambient temperature was way too hot. They should be offering eye protection for the red light like other facilities instead of just having a sign that says 'use at your own risk.' Plus one of the coat racks in the red light room is chipped and has an exposed nail that had been that way since they opened it (for months now). Their towels are tiny and would only cover the body of a child and are super rough like they overstarched them. Not to mention there were times where the towels ran out and when I asked a staff member about it, they just said that I'll just have to wait. Didn't bother to check if the dryer has clean towels, which it did when I asked a manager.

When I enrolled in December the front desk officer who was enrolling me told me that if I wanted to cancel my membership I was free to at no cost to me. Well I've been sick with bronchitis for the last three months and will be going to Europe to visit family during the summer. Onelife has a million reasons why I could just not cancel and said they would need to bill 137.00 to cancel. I cannot rate this gym since they do not stick with their advertising pitch of easy to cancel without any penalties.

Not so perfect. The trainer didn't listen to me and didn't correct my poor form resulting in 3 days…read moreof pain. I have been working out for 40+ years. I'm fairly petite, 50+ was started on 175# for legs and 75# for arms. I told the trainer that was too heavy for the first time, and that I preferred a lower weight to get the form right, and then I can proceed to a higher weight. He disagreed. I could hardly move the weights and my arms collapsed after 2 of the slow timed reps. I had a lot of pain (not the oh I worked out pain but pulled something pain) in my left knee, right neck, shoulder & arm. I was unable to lift my right arm for 2 days. My neck was messed up because in trying to move the 75# weight, I shrugged my shoulders (a no-no that wasn't corrected by the trainer). Lots of ibuprofen but at least I didn't do any permanent damage. I know my body. I know what works for me. Unless you want be in extreme pain I DO NOT recommend this workout especially for those over 40.

I've been a client of The Perfect Workout for a bit over six months. In that time, I've seen…read moremyself get stronger, my muscle tone has improved, and I've dropped a pants size. My admittedly horrible diet hasn't changed and I haven't dropped (or gained) any weight. The service isn't inexpensive, roughly $400/month. The pricing, at least for me, was inflexible and I would love to hear from anyone who was offered training at a reduced rate. You can get a lower per-workout price by buying a longer term contract. However, the way the compute "Pay in Full" benefits decreases this benefit somewhat. What is variable is the trainer you choose to work with. There are several available and you should try each to see which one is best to motivate you. My recommendation is that even for the reasonably priced trial that you try each trainer to find the one who best resonates with you. Bottom line: I like the convenience and efficiency of a 20-minute, twice weekly workout that provides measurable, if not dramatic, improvements. I would be happier if these benefits were available at a somewhat lower price.
