Avocado toast with poached eggs, and a mimosa
    Tamara G.

If you are staying in this Hilton on a weekend or when there is a wedding or any special events going on in Cleveland I recommend that you use OpenTable and make a reservation. Otherwise you may have a half hour wait for a table. The first day we had to wait a half hour for a table, which was fine because we were not in a hurry. We enjoyed our breakfast and we felt like we got a decent portion for the price. We also enjoyed their bloody Mary's and mimosas. Our server was friendly. The next day I did make a reservation on OpenTable, which was good because the line was out the door into the hallway. They were slammed because there was a wedding and the wedding party had reserved, three separate tables of 10 to 12 people. So Service was extremely slow, but our food was still very good as were our drinks. they do have a breakfast buffet, we did not partake of that. We ordered off the menu. It is a big restaurant and it also has an outside patio area. Definitely not bad for a hotel restaurant.

Solidly the best poached egg I've ever had. The texture was out of this world. Smooth, silky, fluffy, hard to explain but wow. The eggs Benedict was delish. Definitely recommend

They have a few vegetarian options but no vegan options. They won't even veganize a vegetarian dish. If you are vegan ... avoid this place.

My son made reservations for a treat at Burnham s today for their Mother's Day brunch. What a wonderful surprise. The food was expertly created. The staff were pleasant and cheerful. While leaving, they presented all of the moms with a small bouquet of flowers. It was a wonderful day with the family! Thanks kids !!!!

The Burnham Restaurant is located inside the Hilton Hotel in downtown Cleveland. I had breakfast here one morning after staying overnight in the Hotel. Ordered an omelette - with spinach, mushrooms, onions, bell pepper, sausage, and cheese. Plus V-8 juice, water, and coffee. Omelette was really good. I spiced it up with some Sriracha sauce. The staff were friendly and efficient. #TheBurnhamRestaurant

I thought this place was kind of confusing because it seemed like it was the breakfast bar for the hotel but then there were menus on our table for the restaurant. I later realized that they offer the buffet on their menu but I saw people take items from the buffet without getting a plate so I was a bit confused. There were several parties waiting but I saw a ton of open tables. Either way, our table was sat and we were told that the bloody mary bar was down a level (it's only a few steps) at the bar, and we could customize with whatever toppings/mix/additions we wanted, so that was very cool. They handed us a glass with vodka and we were on our way! I felt the price of the food versus the size did not match. I got the chicken and waffles and they were miniature waffles and two drumsticks that were mostly bone.

Friday night was relaxing with good service and delicious foods. Started with the Malibu Coconut Rum Ginger lemonade. Light and refreshing. Chose lobster bisque to start. A cup was plenty as it was thick and flavorful. The guys chose the special: 9 oz sirloin grilled to perfection. Included the best garlic Brussels sprouts and out-of-this-world mac & cheese. Not kidding. The ladies had the beet salad with large pieces of red and yellow beets snd shaved Comte cheese. Yum. The scallops were delicious and plenty. The octopus was fabulous hidden under arugula with fingerling potatoes covered with a light tangy sauce. So delicious. The entrees are a little pricey, but this is a Hilton venue. A meal can be made out of the soups, salads and appetizers. Recommend.

The location of the restaurant on the Cuyahoga River on the east bank of the flats makes it a destination. On my first visit, I was with coworkers for lunch. Our server was fast and friendly, but we had some trouble being seated due to their 'policy'. After we were seated, given menus, and drink requests were taken, I decided to request the curry bowl. While we waited, I walked around the flats. A while later, our food was delivered. My supervisor requested walleye and my coworker requested a veggie sandwich with fries. The fries were served shoestring style and they were cold. My boss said his walleye was excellent. My corworker said her veggie sandwich was delicious and it was huge. My curry bowl was excellent. On my next visit, I felt like I should request the curry bowl again, so I did. Again, it was delicious. I really love curry flavors and it wasn't spicy. Definitely recommend.

They had shrimp and oysters, sushi, prime rib, charcuterie, and pastries. I thought they should have had a "dessert" station. The pastry station was fine, but it needed more options for sweet things. The charcuterie was a mess and each person that came up and touched the tongs made it kind of disgusting to think about serving yourself the food that was on the trays. The prime rib was really good. The food for the table was kind of random. Two salads, deviled eggs, asparagus, eggs and bacon, fried chicken, bread and oil, and VERY random Captain Crunch pancakes. It was a very random assortment. The salads were dry and not much to them. The chicken was good, but pieces were too big. The pancakes had a nice flavor, but one bite was all you could do! And all this was $65, plus 20% gratuity, and 8% tax....so more like $80 per person. Not worth it. It should have also included a beverage. The coffee was an additional $5, let alone the alcoholic beverages which averaged around $20.

We arrived to be greeted by an exemplary young man serving as the valet. He was exceedingly pleasant and personable. I appreciated his marvelous attitude toward his job and our service. The young women who greeted us upon entry were very kind and efficient. We were seated immediately at a very comfortable table. Shortly thereafter, a pleasant gentleman by the name of Ihab introduced himself as our server for the evening. He immediately filled our water, identified the various menus at the table, and took our drink orders. A while later our beverages arrived, he answered several questions and explained the evenings specials. I ordered the Grilled Avocado followed by Broiled Oysters "Rocco". My wife ordered the Potato Gnocchi with crab & lobster. We followed our meal with excellent coffee and a good Pot de Creme. In conclusion... the noise problem that so plagued us the first visit seemed to have been addressed. It was now more reasonable. Our server was a pleasant enough young man but he appeared spread thin. He was continually distracted by his many other tables. It was a bit inconvenient. Finally, the menu was respectable but predictable. There was nothing extraordinary about it.

After waiting about 10 minutes with no acknowledgment from anyone, I decided to at least check out the restroom while I waited... and that's when everything went downhill. The floors were extremely sticky--every step literally felt like my shoes were pulling off the ground. It didn't feel clean at all. As I got closer to the restroom area, there was a strong smell of what I can only describe as wet, moldy rags. The bathroom itself was dark, oddly designed, and just gave an overall uncomfortable vibe. What made it worse is that the place wasn't even busy--there was only one table and a couple people at the bar. So the lack of service and cleanliness really stood out. By the time I walked back to the bar, I had already made up my mind. No one had still acknowledged me, and based on the condition of the place, I wasn't willing to take a chance on the food. I grabbed my things and left. Later on, I mentioned it at another restaurant and was told this place is known for poor food quality and lack of authenticity--which honestly aligned with what I experienced just from being inside. I can't speak on the food since I didn't stay, but based on cleanliness, smell, and service alone, I would not recommend this spot. It gave the impression that basic upkeep isn't a priority, and that's not something I'm willing to overlook.

The sliced baguette toast was way too hard (break a tooth hard). My Florentine Benedict was cooked perfect,y. I opted for the fruit instead of the potatoes. Owner Bobby George faced serious charges including attempted murder, four counts of kidnapping, two counts of strangulation, felonious assault, and rape -- and ultimately pleaded guilty to attempted strangulation, receiving no jail time despite those original charges. TownHall markets itself as a health-forward restaurant, but they've gone fully seed-oil-free, cooking exclusively in beef tallow -- positioned as some wellness revolution. The Cleveland Clinic disagrees, with a cardiovascular dietitian stating beef tallow is simply not a healthy cooking choice due to its high saturated fat content.
