This place never disappoints! They have the best calamari I've had in recent years, I get it every time! I keep forgetting to snap a photo because I'm usually to dang hungry! Husband had a cheeseburger and I had the tempura prawns & chips and what I love about it is that they don't over batter it. Yummy

Whenever I'm in Anacortes on a sunny day, The Cabana is my favorite place to stop for lunch or happy hour. Their menu (prepared at neighboring Anthony's) is full of fresh seafood options, nourishing salads, and great specialty cocktails. But the best part is the beautiful outdoor setting with views over the Anacortes marina. It's an amazing place to sit and enjoy drinks and good food while boat (and people) watching. The service is always on point, and there's rarely a long wait for one of their outdoor umbrella tables. If I had one issue, it's that their prices have gone up this past year, while their portion sizes have definitely dwindled. I recently had their poke bowl and it was more of a poke snack than a bowl. I guess it's a sign of the times - but it does make it less affordable for me to go there.

Overpriced especially for what you receive. The portions are incredibly small - insultingly so. I ordered a three-piece fish and chips for $26 and received McNugget-sized pieces of fish. Here's a photo of the fish servings (I ate some fries before the photo was taken so ignore that serving size). When I asked the server if that was the normal size I got a yes and a "yes, it's kinda sad" response. I rarely post negative reviews and always wait a few days to see if I still feel the same way. In this case, I still feel as ripped off as the first days ago. My family and I have gone to Anthony's for several years but no more. On the plus side, the food tasted fine and the outdoor seating is nice.

Whatever you do, get the clam chowder. Now to the other stuff. This place was amazing. It was absolutely delicious. Most likely the best fish and chips I've ever eaten here and the best clam chowder. I even had another one the day after and this one was still the best I'd ever had. The drinks are great. My husband loved their poke bowl too, fresh fish and vegetables. All perfection.

Met some of my friends today and really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. It is all a outdoor with some of it covered overhead...they had hanging heaters which was good because it was a little cold. I had the blackened fish taco and the cucumber drink. The taco was perfect as was the drink. I can't wait to come back when the weather warms up!

We had a great meal at the Cabana. The Mahi fish tacos were delicious, bright with a bit of lime and I loved the fresh cilantro. The fish was cooked just right and warm with a nice hint of spice. Light cream and fresh salsa were amazing. The fish and chips are always great. The fish is well seasoned and the batter is crisp while cooking the fish perfectly. The batter is light and also seasoned. A lot of restaurants forget to season the fish and they always do. The service was great and cocktails always tasty! Enjoy the amazing view!

Big sigh. Went here for a special occasion lunch and was not the best experience. The food was pretty alright. Don't bother with the drinks. Completely watered down and overpriced. Also, don't expect your server to greet you or even be remotely polite. The woman who served us was a completely aloof and would rather chit chat with her colleagues than get a good tip or review. Totally overpriced for what you get and I can go to McDonald's and be treated with more respect than this establishment. It's too bad.

Relaxed outdoor atmosphere. Solid drinks and staff was pleasant. When the weather is good this is a great place for pre sunset.

It's not a restaurant in the traditional sense; it's more of a landscape. If you're looking for a place that celebrates the food rather than the performance, this is it. Go for the oysters, stay for the silence, and leave knowing exactly where your food came from. Food (5/5): Everything was outstanding. I'm not even a fan of smoked oysters but these were prepared in a way that made them truly amazing. Customer Service (4.5/5): The staff were friendly and readily available. Price (Est. $60/person): It is easy to lose track of the final bill when the food is this good and you keep the orders coming, but expect to spend around $60 per person. Decor/View (4.5/5): The outdoor setting is perfect, especially on a clear nice day, providing an unmatched view of the water.

It's pretty amazing the difference in taste across the different oysters. They were great! Super fresh and served with a couple wedges of lemon and mignonette. A little different than the way they're served on the opposite coast (typically lemon, cocktail sauce, horseradish, and mignonette. Several of the oysters were pretty large and took some chewing to get through. I paired them with a nice glass of gruner veltliner. Great spot, I'd definitely return.

There are 2 lines to order. One for the grill which is the menu stuff. The other for your bags of shrimp. When we were there, the shrimp line was the longest. My wife and I split up so we could try both. The Grill: we just got a bunch of stuff to share Fish Burger (4): This was pretty good. Soft bun. Tender fish. Their fries are really crispy. Solid sando. Fish n Chips (4): They fry stuff really well and their fish is fresh. Fish was flaky. Did need the tartar sauce but it was still good. Clam Chowder Bread Bowl (4): Decent. Bread bowl was good but nothing spectacular. Chowder had some good sized clams and was creamy. The Shrimp (4): We love the shrimp trucks in Hawaii and our friends sort of hyped us up with that in mind. When we got to the front, we really didn't know what to order. We got what most people seemed to be getting. Just a combo of small and medium shrimp. All the shrimp is cooked in saltwater. So you need to peel them. They were fresh and tasty. A little sweet even. It's work though. If you don't like peeling shrimp, then might not be as good as the hype. I personally didn't think the small shrimp was worth the effort cause they were TAI NEE! Maybe next time I'll just take them home to grill and eat them whole. Next time. I do wish we got the jumbo shrimp. I feel like those would be more worth it. Overall, glad we tried it out. Shrimp was good. Grill was good. I still don't know why there's so much hype around it though. Maybe we were doing it wrong. We'll return with the friends that recommended it so we could see how its supposed to be done.

The grilled food is okay. The fish and chips are fine, but a little too greasy and bready for our liking. But the main reason we come here is for the shrimp. It always tastes fresh and sweet even without any dipping sauce. I'm giving 4 stars because the shrimp sizing can be inconsistent. Even when we ordered medium, some of the shrimp were way too small. I would also skip the small/medium mix. Yes, it saves a little money, but there were too many tiny shrimp and they were annoying to peel. If you order grilled food during weekend lunch, be prepared to wait around 30 minutes. Seating can get busy, but tables do turn over pretty quickly, especially if you don't mind sharing a table with other people.

We just wanted to sit & enjoy after dinner drinks as we often do when dining out. We were both mystified why we were treated like that. I believe I made a mistake when I mentioned to the waiter, Ryan B., that I had the same drink at Union Travern prior to arriving to dinner & wanted to stick to same type of cocktail. Mind you, I only had 2 small cocktails in an 1.5 hrs before arriving at Anthony's & was completely fine. We did absolutely nothing wrong & were courteous to him the whole time. It's astounding how judgmental he was. I have a bubbly personality as is & I'm not sure if he completely misjudged me, or was just on a power trip. I spoke to him and the manager as we walked out & both were extremely dismissive. We even were nice enough to leave a small tip for him for his good service at the beginning, but he bombed it in the end missing an opportunity for a great tip on a $160 bill. Thanks so much for making our anniversary so special. We left and celebrated at different establishment that appreciated our business. Of all the years going to Anacortes, I have never experienced such downright, RUDE service anywhere. I also want to add, I am 57 yrs old & that was the first time I ever have been denied service. The first was my birthday last year, chosen by a friend (I'd never heard of it). This year I was asked where I wanted to go. I did not hesitate to say here! I couldn't be anything other than delighted in my decision--from the pleasantness inside, the wonderful view from our window, the delightful staff and the incredible food and drinks, this place is wonderful. Lucky me that my birthday was on a Wednesday so I could be totally influenced to have oysters-on-the-half shell due to a generous Wednesday night special. I do love raw oysters--and these were so tiny and briny and so incredibly good, I could have eaten five dozen! (I am kicking myself for not finding out what kind they were, but no matter. I would be happy with any they are serving here, I am sure.) I had already planned on having the Oysters Rockefeller (known here as Manor Rockefeller), and so, despite having just downed some oysters, I went ahead anyway and am glad I did! They were wonderful. And there was no real reason for me to pause for a moment in my decision, having already had oysters, because these were soooooo different. It was almost like eating a delicious oyster casserole in a shell. The Mediterranean Mussels were wonderful! (Notice, I was having a dinner of appetizers...) The broth they came in was beautiful (and drinkable, if one were so inclined). I loved the surprising tastiness of the Mama Lil's Peppers swimming around in it. At first I wondered if they would be too hot and compete with the flavor--overwhelming it--but no! Not at all. They were a perfect and flavorful touch. Absolutely wonderful. (And having said that, I know that "pepper heat" is an individual thing--I can tolerate a goodly amount, fyi--I just didn't taste these as hot at all.) Our server, Drew, was immensely helpful (and always charming!) He paired our food with a delicious wine. I guess we would assign my bowl of clam chowder to the dessert category--very thick and creamy--along with a lovely after-dinner cocktail, made by the wonderful and delightful bartender, Sherry. She made me a lovely mocktail to start--I asked Drew to have the bartender just make something up on a whim. It was pretty, colorful and delish with what in it, I have no idea. But, not only was it delectable, it was a vision! All festive and fuchsia, with a "bartender's cherry," and a hot pink umbrella. When I learned Sherry made it, I was so happy because I remembered her from last year--very skilled and very fun to chat with. A wonderful birthday--I highly recommend the Manor.
