This cafe is inside Harrah's resort and casino. Went here to grab something for my daughter to eat. We ordered to share: Chicken pasta $22 (big portion) couldn't finish it. Glass of red wine $7 Our waitress was nice and checking on us here and there. They don't accept APPLE PAY here! If pay cards make sure to bring your ID. What century is this? I can't remember when was the last time people ask me to show ID when pay with CC. Anyway the chic that was charging me in the front got a horrible attitude. Coming in, my party of three was pretty hungry. We ordered the Chicken Supreme, Garlic Shrimp Pasta, Caesar Salad, and a side of Hash Browns. Their portions are really big. The Chicken Supreme was super creamy and the chicken was made well. The Garlic Shrimp Pasta was okay, less saucy and the shrimp was on the salty side. The garlic bread given with both dishes was delicious though. Caesar Salad was like any other spot. Hash Browns were crispy, but they lack flavor, which I had to season with a lot of salt and pepper. For dessert, we ordered the banana split, which was pretty good, I like that they caramelized the banana. Overall, food is just average, but very filling. read more

Food: 4.25. Simple but good food. I love this diner. Came by for a noon Monday meal. No wait so we were promptly seated Ordered the chicken fries steak Big Country and Fish and Chips and Shrimp. Food came out timely and at right temperature. Chicken fried steak hit the spot. Fried fish and shrimp were also perfectly crispy (not oily). Tater tots that we requested crispy for our potato side were perfectly crispy. Service was excellent. Came back the next day and had the clam chowder and special item of duckfat fries. Chowder was surprisingly very good. I found a bay leaf in the soup. Glad to know this is not from a can. Probably one of my favorite clam chowders. Duckfat fries were very good too. Thanks to Harrahs for reaching out. I did try the cafe again. This time for take out. I already knew about the $4 take out fee when I went to order my food. I got there around 4pm and it wasn't too busy. I was helped by Eva and ordered the Steak stack with tots. It was $17 and with the take out fee just over $21. Eva was nice to remind me about the $4 take out fee which I had no problem with. I asked Eva if they can put ketchup and napkins etc in my order and she told me they do. She said come back in 20 mins for the order. Understandable and not to bad. I understand it's not fast food, so I was no expecting it any sooner. I walked around the casino and came back 20 mins later. What's funny is they have a stamp on the receipt that states food will be thrown out after 2 hours. I wonder how many people actually forget their food here. Another waitress helped me with getting my order. She was nice enough to remind me to check the order for accuracy before leaving. I checked and they did forget the ketchup. Not the end of the world so I asked Eva if she could get me some. I bring my food back to my room and open the box and it's huge. Enough for maybe 2 people. The tots were perfect and crispy. The sandwich was very good as well. I saved half for later and was worth the $17. Just wish they got rid of the To Go fee. I appreciate all the efforts that this cafe is taking to protect people from COVID-19. I suggest sitting at a booth as opposed to sitting at one of the standalone tables that don't have partitions/barriers. The service here was impeccable. The food was good. I had the opportunity to eat here twice, once at dinner and once at breakfast. Both times, it was pretty easy to get a table. I had the New York Strip Steak. It was decent with the mashed potatoes with a side of gravy and the steamed vegetables. For breakfast, I had the surf and turf benedict which was alright. I'd probably order something else next time because the combination of their bacon and crab turned out to not be a great combination. I was out here for the day in the hotel. This happened to be a kid friendly place and it was nice and quiet. They are open 24/7 which is convenient. Our first time eating here, and we left very satisfied and happy! Buffet does not open until 3pm, so the The Cafe it was. We waited about 20min until our buzzer went off to return to clerks' desk and get seated. From beginning to end out experience was amazing! They serve warm fresh bread while you wait for your meal. Bread was DELISH! We ordered the NY steak sammy with onion fingers and salt and pepper wings as an appetizer. NY steak was cooked to perfection and so tender! Every time I come to The Cafe, I have been pleasantly surprised with its large portion and good tasting food. Menu includes sandwiches, steaks, pasta, breakfast items, and desserts. Diners are seated every other table to maintain social distance; cute inflatables are put on every other table as a reminder, which also added a fun flair to the restaurant. It feels quite safe and comfortable dining here. We went here for our morning breakfast. The wait time was about 30-45 minutes. We expected there to be a line because of the hotel promotion (we witnessed a surplus of check ins @11). We were greeted by Roxann as our server. She was friendly and calm despite the chaos. I ordered the BLT Benedict w/ hash browns and my partner ordered Chocolate Chip Pancakes w/ a side of turkey sausage and eggs sunny side up. We both enjoyed our meals thoroughly! I typically am not a pancake fan but I tried them and they were the best pancakes I have ever had. Not dense and very light and fluffy. We drank freshly squeezed orange juice, which was very delightful. The hash browns could be a little crispier so if you enjoy crispy hash browns, I suggest asking for them when you order. My partner was not a fan of the turkey sausage. I tried them and unfortunately they were overcooked and dry. Other than that the meals were fantastic. The quality and quantity were perfect. We knew there would be a line again for dinner and there was; but that's okay because a 30-45 minutes wait is typical wait time for any packed venue. We were greeted by Lai as our server for dinner. The Rib Eye was cooked great; extremely juicy. The crust was seared perfectly, creating a caramelized crust around the fatty bits. The potatoes were just right; not sloppy and not too stiff. They had a delicious buttery taste. The veggies could have been cooked a bit longer, but were still very delicious. My partner ordered the herb crusted twin pork chops with a side of mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies. He enjoyed the meal, and complimented how well the pork chops were cooked. They were juicy and tender, not at all dry. The seasoning was on point but unfortunately, he did not like that mustard was used to crust the pork chops (he is not a fan of mustard). I enjoyed the mustard tang. If you do not mind mustard you will enjoy the chops very much. We finished our dinner with a banana split. The banana split had a caramelized banana with chocolate and vanilla ice cream; topped off with candied walnuts, caramel and chocolate sauce and whipped cream. My partner is not a fan of dessert but he ain't the whole thing up. One of the best banana splits I have very had. So good! Definitely recommend the banana split for dessert. All in all we had two very enjoyable experiences today. The food was amazing and so was the staff. My only complaint is unavoidable but Harrahs has the most annoying patrons. A player waited in the diamond line for five minutes and started complaining loudly about it. He even started blaming Biden for the wait times lmao When the hostess came up to seat him, he wasn't even the card holder but his friend was. The audacity to complain about a five minute wait when your mooching off your friend's privileges. I know there is nothing you can do about how annoying and bitter some of your players are but I just wish they were much kinder to the staff. This restaurant is located at the Harrahs casino. There are no walls or doors between the restaurant and the casino area, so it reeks of cigarette smell. The menu is very diner style but super affordable. I ordered their Chicken pasta and grilled cheese. Both of the dishes were average, honestly nothing to even state about it. There were 5 of us and 3 of us waited 30+ minutes after ordering for their food. But 2 of us didn't get their food yet. Another 10 minutes (40+ total) 1 of the 2 people who ordered the same dish, finally got theirs. But the other with the same order didn't. Another 10 minute wait (50+ total minutes) we got the final meal to our group. And there was very few people in the place. Two of us ordered the Meatloaf and both seemed to like it, although it was really compacted ground beef to where 1 person thought after cutting into it initially, they got a steak by mistake. But it was meatloaf. I got the Prime 20 Dip sandwich and it was pretty good as was the cole slaw with it, but the "dip" was melted butter - not good. Not an a jus but was too hungry to ask for that and wait longer. It was in a metal ketchup type container that you'd get to dip fries into ketchup. No way you could dip a sandwich in it anyway. Two of us got the Garlic Shrimp Pasta. They were drastically different looking. One looked like it was described on the menu, it had a load of the different ingredients it was supposed to have. The 2nd dish of the same that came out last for us, was like just sauce with very little of the other stuff in the pasta. Lots of good sized shrimp in both, but good version one had grilled shrimp and the other dish just had cooked shrimp. We come here everytime we come to Harrah's south. It is your typical casino cafe. They have changed the menu some since I had been a few years ago. It is nice inside. Service is generally better than average and the ladies are very friendly. Our waitress had a lot of tables and was very efficient. Now for the food... it is at best just okay. Prices are a little high to me. I had Denver omelette one day and a sandwich the next. Avg $15 pp. New menu seems to be less choices, especially breakfast. Would I make it a destination? Honestly I'd put the Cafe up against any greasy spoon diner. YOUR favorite greasy spoon diner, even. Eggs are cooked to perfection and nothing on the menu is bad. The steak and eggs is pretty sublime, but even so you won't be disappointed if you go with the country fried steak instead. The wait can be an issue if you don't have at least a diamond card and are going on a weekend morning or brunchtime. I don't know if the fresh orange juice ($8) is from the orange groves that surround the reservation. I'm guessing no and they're just from an anonymous food supplier. Nonetheless I never order fresh OJ but I do here because it tasted truly fresh and I like to imagine the oranges came from right outside. Tater tots (included with breakfast entrees) can be served plain, covered in parmesan cheese, or with peppers and onions. Specify your preference if you're getting tots. Solid breakfast. - Country Fried Steak - 2 eggs, hashbrown (or tots), & endless toast. The Cafe in Harrahs fills the diner food space the other restaurants there do not with an all-encompassing menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner items available all day. Foodwise, i would say nothing stands out; it's all basic fare. I was disappointed that they removed the prime rib and rib eye steak from the menu, which were very good. Instead, I had the ribs which lacked any flavor except for the bottled, sweet, bbq sauce. My wife said her grilled chicken sandwich was good, but her tater tots looked and tasted like the crumbs from the bottom of the bag. The staff were polite and efficient. Although the robot delivery is interesting, I don't understand the point since the server has to move the food from the robot to the table anyway. They should focus on improving the food quality vs gimmicks! read more

First, we I live near this casino. I have been to the "Cafe" about 10-15 times over the last few years. I am 1000% gluten intolerant (and that is NO ONES FAULT...let me say that now. I have an inability to eat very salty foods as well, due to health issues...so I needed a gluten free food that's not eggs, bacon, etc.). But in the 3-4 years that the cafe has been open, they have never sold ANYTHING without wheat flour. Why not buy ONE loaf of (Canyon) gluten free bread or bagels? PEOPLE WILL ORDER IT. The only other options are their oatmeal, which they only serve for breakfast (from 7am - 11:00am- during the casinos food rush. Haha). (We went to iHop, instead, and they have a plethora of gluten free options, including pancakes!!!) There are no windows or clocks in the casino. Why not serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day? The second and only option that is gluten free is their "bowl of fruit," which is almost always musk melon only (hard and bland...not ripe yet)...and maybe a grape or two if it's a special occasion. So, we tried AGAIN today to get something with no gluten in it (wheat or trigo). There wasn't anything, but I'd just finished ordering a water and a coffee while we figured out what I might be able to eat. When the waitress came back we told her what we were trying to order. She was like, "sorry about your luck. I can just ring you up for your coffee, and you can go somewhere else." I hadn't even taken a single sip of the coffee. So, we took the coffee and the ticket to checkout, and I kindly told the woman checking us out that I hadn't had any of the coffee; I hadn't taken a single sip, (they could give it to the next customer, lol, since they are so cheap that they needed to charge us for a coffee I hadn't touched, bc they are inconsiderate and noninclusive to those with very common food allergies). I was going to refuse to pay for the coffee regardless, bc we followed our "waitress" to the checkout counter as she "debriefed" the staff about the situation (the "coffee" they believed we owed them money for, and their lack of menu options). THEY STILL TRIED TO CHARGE US FOR THE COFFEE ANYWAY. SMH. CONSIDER THE OVERALL SOURCEs At HARRAH'S. ANOTHER MAJOR ISSUE AT HARRAHS: Everything is the casino, food wise, closes at 8pm on weekdays, and weekends are like 9pm. Starbucks and the bars will be your only options after 9pm. The casino looks "nice," but it is VERY SUBPAR. The hotel rooms are often only halfway clean. The bathroom still had nasty stuff on the counter that came up when I wiped it up. The table in the bedroom portion had nasty sticky stuff on it also. Robeks, which is closing for good, soon, is the ONLY place in the casino that sells gluten free options, and THEY ARE SHUTTING DOWN FOR GOOD. THATS WHY THEY ARE ALLWWAAYYSS OUT OF IMPORTANT FOOD ITEMS, SUCH AS "AÇAÍ." (What their brand revolves around). They often run out of strawberries, blueberries, and/or yogurt and peanut butter, leaving staff with no way to do their jobs. In general, if you want to go hang out in Harrah's, go for it. But if you are hungry, or want something to drink other than liquor, maybe consider eating dinner elsewhere first. You may think Hell's Kitchen is great... And you may think you want to go there... But four of us went, and I didn't order a meal, so for three meals and a few drinks, set us back $550.00! Trust me when I tell you there is nothing at Harrah's that will be worth your time or money. read more

Noah our server on 14 July 2018 was on point. My wife and I visited around 1123 PM. Most important this place is 24 hours. I have the feeling the food comes from the buffet but it doesn't change my opinion about visiting; I am happy with this option open late at night and earlier morning. The restaurant layout had an open space and neatly maintained. My wife and I had a bowl of clam chowder each and calamari sticks which looked like mozzarella sticks. We ate breakfast the last time we were here and again it was delicious. So we decided during this stay to stop in for a late dinner. Our waitress was awesome. She was Asian and struggled a little speaking English but she was able to successfully communicate with us and made many suggestions to make our dinner very satisfying. She even brought us a sample of their soup of the day. My husband ordered the prime rib with mashed potatoes and mix of carrots, yellow squash and zucchini. He opted to order a side of fried shrimp and boy were we happy we did. The shrimp was fried with a tempura coating and was hot and tender. I might say the best I've ever had. It came on a bed of spring lettuce and had a delicious dipping sauce. Based on reviews, I opted for the pot roast which again our little waitress recommended, and said it was her favorite. It had extremely tender beef that I could eat with a fork, and vegetables over the top of a bed of mashed potatoes it was absolutely delicious. we were a little disappointed they were out of cheesecake. So we opted for the ice cream a scoop of vanilla, a scoop of chocolate. It was delicious, but nothing special probably with it next time. I really liked the decor to this cafe. What's even better about it is that it is open 24 hours. So for all you light gamblers, you can get a quick bite with all the money you win from the slots and table. I ordered the Monte Cristo since I order it when I get the chance to go to Disneyland. It was really good, not as sweet or doughy as the one's at Disney. The fries that came with it were really good but had a kick. I cannot handle spice and ate a chili flake and died! I drank my soda which made it worse but luckily our waitress was on top of it and kept bringing me water. Since it still didn't help, she brought me a glass of milk and it helped tremendously. Tried The Cafe inside Harrah's. Love both the food and service. Ordered 14oz Ribeye, Reuben sandwich, and clam chowder. Ribeye was cooked right, added mushrooms were excellent, and it came with some broccoli and mashed potatoes - delicious! Reuben meat was tender and bread was tasty, it came with Parmesan fries, wish the fries had more Parmesan and seasoning, but it was still good. This has been my new favorite restaurant in harrahs! Their garlic shrimp is the best!!!! I can't wait to order again! It's just so good! I used to order the pot roast which is also a bomb but either one is amazing! You can't never go wrong plus they serve a huge plate!!! Holy molly! Thank you HARRAHS and the CAFE for serving quality meals. On the other hand, the chicken wings I'm really not a fan of. It's not bad but I would like it with more flavors.
