OMG, YES!!!! From the old timer Cat wallowing in catnip to the adorable cottage, I immediately felt at home. As soon as we walked inside, we were met by 2 staff members who explained the mission, history and culture of the Caffeinated Cat. Once you buy a coffee, tea or hot chocolate you'll enter the kitty rooms where the cats and kittens are having free roam, most were sleeping as it was nap time. You can adopt a baby for $50. We will be back hope to adopt soon ! Great to just hang out and get some kitty therapy as well!

What a special little spot in Jacksonville! When walking up, we saw the cutest little one-eyed cat out front to greet us. The colors all around are bright and so fun. Walking in, we met a barista and another employee, who were clearly very passionate about their job, which was awesome. They have some kitties in cages in the front, mainly just one that gets bullied by the other cats :(. The barista walked us through the drink options while holding a little kitten, and we were able to go into the kitty room (for FREE, might I add)! Our lemonade (I forget which flavor) was really good. Inside the cat room there are so many cat towers, beds, scratchy posts, and little hiding spots for the cats. They are decorated in cute and punny ways which makes the room really fun. There are also a few spots to sit. Best of all, cats and kittens everywhere! They ask that you don't pick them up, but the majority of them are very social and will come up to you to play anyway. On an afternoon, a lot of them are very sleepy too. You can adopt all of the cats I believe, which is even better! If it gets too busy, the workers will ask the people who have been in their the longest to head out in order to make room for others. Really glad I stopped in and found this local gem with the best workers and cats! What a fun

LOVED having a little day date here. Cats were up and chatting around lol. They had decent drinks and a lot of things for sale that help keep the place open. Loved it. Not super crowded either.

How can you not give 5 stars to a place that is looking to help stray and injured cats? And on top of that, you can get a coffee or a lemonade as well. They have a small little gift shop too, where you can purchase cat toys, treats, etc. to help out too. Once you're inside, you can go into the "cat" room where there are toys of every size and shape for all the kitties. Plenty of places to sit down and play with the cats as well. Kudos to the owners for their commitment to helping these animals.

Where do I even start! My boyfriend & I came to the Caffeinated Cat for some coffee and to see some cats, not really having any expectations or knowing what to expect. But as soon as we walked in, we knew this would be a great experience. We ordered some drinks as the barista explained which cats were up for adoption & where the cat room was at for us to visit once she finished making our drinks. I got a Blueberry Latte with Oatmilk & he got a Strawberry Lemonade- all for only $8! The coffee was alright but the lemonade was good. However, they explained that selling coffee is what keeps them in business and allows them to keep housing cats and buying supplies for them like litter, crates, toys, etc. so I would GLADLY buy that coffee over and over again to help them out. Also, going into the cat room was completely FREE! We then went into the cat room (which was decorated like a little town- SO ADORABLE!). it was filled with cats! We walked around and petted a few of them. I swear I almost cried they were so cute. Then, on the way out, we saw a little crate full of kittens that they explained they just had received 15 minutes prior from the local animal shelter to care for and put up for adoption. All in all, I literally cannot recommend this place more. If you like cats, you will LOVE the caffeinated cat! I wish I lived at Jax Beach so I could visit this place again.

A shy one.

Adorable place! Lots of cute paintings and wall hangings and the bathroom is really cute. They have a variety of teas and coffee. Simple but nice. And of course the best part is sitting and enjoying the dear cats. They are all over, hiding here and there and the less shy ones in plain view for a little head scratch and rub. Be sure to drop a donation in the jar.

Visited on a whim last weekend and it was such a serotonin boost. First, I love being able to contribute to good causes and especially so when it involves animals. It's a small little place but there was plenty of parking space out front. They had a full coffee and espresso menu and the drinks we had were both delicious. I had a peppermint mocha and my boyfriend had a caramel latte. I do wish they had asked if I wanted to add a tip either for the barista or for the organization. I don't really carry cash but would have been happy to have added to my bill. We spent about 20 minutes in the car room hanging out with about 6 cats. There was a kitten who was giving us all the love. I know that when I am ready to add a furbaby to my home, I will come here first.

The coffee here is just okay. This is more of a place to go for the experience of seeing the cats. Three are still some coool things to see inside.

I really loved visiting all the Kitties at this place. I love their mission and how they work so hard to save cats in need. While I was here, I did have some coffee too because I can never resist coffee! I had the Korat and it was very tasty. I only found out later they had wine! Can't wait to go back and visit all the kittens and support this wonderful place.

This is the best little place ever, it healed my heart a bit from my cat passing away. I found it through yelp looking for coffee shops. I will continue to come here in the future and recommend to other cat lovers.

This is such a cute little place. I had always wanted to visit a place that had cats in their business so this was a must for me, plus the fact that I love coffee. There were several cats in the play area and they were all very nice. There were a couple outside and 1 inside the main area inside. The coffee was okay, not great but I would definitely go back to try something else just to help support this business. They had a small gift shop as well where you could buy cat toys and treats.

Sorry meant to type "friendly" not "fr madly" and meant to say "play" with cats not "lay" with cats.

Coffee and cats your speed? Then this place is a must on your list! Cute decor, great coffee, and sweet kitty cats you can play with to your hearts content await you once your step inside. They are also a rescue and most of the cats are adoptable (minus their permanent residents). They sell cat related gifts, toys for cats, and accept donations too. I was told week days aren't super busy, but weekends can get busy quick! So if you do plan on going, make sure you give yourself enough time in case there is a wait. They allow one family/group in at a time or up to 5 people into the cat playing area. Kids are allowed, however you must sign a waiver to make sure they listen, are respectful, and don't yell to scare the cats. Simple rules to keep everyone happy. :) Small upfront parking area, but plenty of street parking as well.

While I wouldn't call this a go-to "work from a coffee shop all day" sort of spot. After asking around I found out this place has two floors the top floor has a space for daily office rentals. I am here on a Saturday and had no problem finding a place to work from on the first floor.  I asked Katie who was walking by and was super helpful about why it is called Ink Factory Brewing. This place used to be where Void Magazine was written and published hence "Ink Factory".  I was pleasantly surprised. The space is large enough that I found a quiet corner and even managed to snag a power outlet. The staff didn't seem bothered at all by me settling in with my laptop. That said, Ink Factory feels more like a place to hang out try the coffee, grab some food, maybe have a beer rather than a dedicated work spot. The space immediately gives off a relaxed beach vibe white walls, local artwork, surfboards, and beach apparel everywhere. It feels equal parts coffee shop, hangout spot, and beach town brewery. My coffee was spot on. Emily was awesome and helped me build a custom drink: an iced coffee with a shot of espresso, mocha syrup, topped with cold foam. Not only did it taste great, but she made it look so good that people sitting at the bar asked what I ordered. This kind of care and presentation really stood out.  If they're really busy, finding an outlet could be tough. Parking is also a bit limited for such a large space, but that's pretty typical for the beach area. Not the place I'd camp out every weekday, but definitely somewhere I'd come back to.

Last week of April 2026, my wife Judy and I were in Jacksonville/Atlantic Beach for a conference. While I was in session, she returned to our rental condo and got locked out due to a malfunctioning electronic door lock. She couldn't reach me (ringer off), so she walked down the street to Breezy. Owner Nancy Breezy immediately welcomed her with open arms. She lent Judy her personal phone so she could contact the condo owners to get the door fixed. Once that was handled, Nancy introduced Judy to the regulars, making her feel completely at home. Judy ordered a delicious latte and some gluten-free baked goods -- both were outstanding. On a deeper note, Judy has been through an incredibly tough couple of years with painful losses that had shaken her faith in human kindness. Nancy single-handedly restored that faith. Breezy feels like a quaint, neighborly oasis of love, fueled by Nancy's genuine goodness. Everything served here seems infused with what we now call "Vitamin L" -- pure love and warmth. Nancy didn't just help with a locked door -- she rescued my wife's spirit that day. If you're in Jacksonville Beach, make time for Breezy. Quay was our personal server and I think he was our bartender too- although there was another person back and forth behind the bar. We added a little chaos to the mix with a handful of family who showed without rsvp-ing. Add in toddlers plus easily 15 people.... Yeah- mad respect for Quay!!! I admit to being sad that I couldn't get my broiled platter- that is my favorite Fish Camp dish, and apparently not available for lunch. I pivoted and got the steam pot for 2. For myself. And guess what- I ate all the crab, hmmm so happy! Laugh- it was hilarious, I was still cracking crab while everyone sung happy birthday! I was thrilled. I brought home most of the potatoes, corn and such- it even had mushrooms and broccoli! YUM! My old fashioned was also perfection in a glass. John had the shrimp and fish basket and loved every bite. Several raved about the shrimp and grits. Caron loved her mahi mahi. Connor got the Spicy Wild Caught Shrimp Linguine with White Wine, Garlic, Tomato, Pecorino and inhaled it! Even the kiddos were super happy with the kids chicken strips, although the kitchen delivered the first plate to the wrong toddler and the lovely parents didn't question how they got food without ordering and that little girl dug right in. Opposite end of the table- this grandma spoke up and we split the food so all the littles were fed. Considering our chaotic group, it went very well. I didn't hear a single complaint from our party. Hopefully we didn't drive the staff too crazy!

I used to absolutely love this place. It was our go-to for seafood, celebrations, family dinners,…read moreand special occasions for years. We recommended it constantly and genuinely enjoyed supporting them. Unfortunately, after our last few experiences, that loyalty is completely gone. The problems really started during a dinner visit with my spouse. We had a reservation for two and specifically requested a booth because my spouse has herniated discs and booths are much easier on her back. The hostess with glasses told us there were "no booths available for parties of two," so we were seated at a tiny two-top directly in front of an empty booth. Minutes later, another couple - who apparently didn't even have the correct downstairs reservation because Wheel House was closed for a private event - was seated in that exact booth instead. When I politely questioned it, I was told they were "accommodating them." Interesting, because apparently accommodating a medical issue for customers with a reservation didn't matter. Still, we decided to give the restaurant another chance for Mother's Day. To their credit, we were seated at a booth this time after I both noted it in the reservation and called ahead to confirm it. Our waiter was someone we immediately recognized from a previous visit, and my parents mentioned he had waited on us before at that same table. Somehow, from that comment alone, he became convinced we were related to Chef Tim Tillus. From there, things got bizarre. He kept talking about "Timmy," mentioning reunions and saying he used to live with him. The restaurant was extremely loud, and my father had forgotten his hearing aids that day, so honestly we could barely understand what he was talking about. We just smiled politely and focused on asking about the menu because we truly had no clue where the conversation was going. Eventually, he came back and realized we were NOT Chef Tim Tillus' family. He then explained that the kitchen staff had apparently been laughing because the chef saw us and said, "That's not my family." So somehow this became a whole ordeal in the kitchen over a completely innocent misunderstanding. We laughed awkwardly because what else do you do at that point? But honestly, the whole interaction felt strange and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the food was even worse than the awkward service. My spouse ordered the all-day seafood soup, and somehow there was basically ZERO seafood in it. That alone was shocking because their soups used to be incredible. My father ordered the broiled platter, and the portion size was honestly embarrassing for a $29 dish. His parsley potatoes consisted of literally five tiny cubes - my mother counted them because we were in disbelief. We have eaten here for years and NEVER saw portions this small. I ordered the fish special, and it was nothing like described. It was supposed to have pecans and blackening seasoning. There were no pecans, no blackening seasoning, and the fish itself was dry, bland, overcooked, and flavorless. For $32, I was served what looked like a tiny sad pile of fish in the middle of a giant empty plate. The pork chop looked beautiful but tasted absolutely awful. At this point I honestly don't know if the kitchen quality has completely collapsed or if nobody is checking food before it leaves the line anymore. Either way, it was terrible. My mother ordered scallops on the half shell as her meal - something she has enjoyed there many times before. This time, the scallops were tiny and somehow greasy. It was shocking these dishes were even leaving the kitchen. What makes this so disappointing is that we truly loved this restaurant. We weren't casual customers. We supported this place for years because we believed the food and experience were worth it. This wasn't just a mediocre meal or an "off night." This was a genuinely terrible dining experience from start to finish, made worse by the fact that it happened on Mother's Day. The service felt awkward and disorganized, the portions were insulting, the food quality was awful, and there seemed to be zero quality control happening anywhere. At this point, our money will be supporting other establishments instead. It's honestly sad because this place USED to be special. I sincerely hope management fixes the kitchen, consistency, and overall professionalism before even more longtime customers walk away.
