Banana split cupcake and German chocolate cupcake

Delicious cupcakes and s'mores cookie! Bought the banana split and German chocolate cupcakes. Yummy frosting exactly like I want it and moist cake. Didn't plan to buy a cookie but when I saw that they were homemade and soft, I couldn't resist. Highly recommend cupcakes and cookies too. Great and quick service.

This place is INCREDIBLE and one of a kind. The concept is similar to Cold Stone, but in cake form. You choose your cake batter flavor, frosting flavor, and then whatever toppings you'd like. The people working were so friendly and super helpful. They also had multiple gluten free options! There's not a ton of room inside to sit and eat, but you can get your cake cup to go and walk around the neighborhood. Parking can be a little challenging in this neighborhood, all street parking.

Such a neat concept! Perfect for when you're craving cake, but don't want to buy an entire one. I got the strawberry cake with strawberry buttercream, and it includes 3 toppings, so I chose the lemon lavender drizzle, fresh strawberries and toasted coconut flakes. I was really impressed! The cake was delicious and ultra moist. The buttercream was a bit sweet for my taste, but that's subjective. The toppings really pulled everything together and overall it was a neat experience. Friendly staff, quick service. It is a small shop so be aware of that if you're coming with a group! Definitely a to-go spot for when those sweet tooth cravings hit.

    BYO Mini Cake

My friend found this spot for us to try on our Denver trip. I hadn't heard of this place so I was so glad she added it to our list to visit! The staff member was one of the happiest, most positive people I'd interacted with in a long time. Just talking with them made me happy too, and I didn't even have the cake yet! I got a mini BYO cake: yellow cake, maple vanilla frosting, & peanut butter cookie crumbles/macadamia nuts/blackberries. Cake was super moist. Frosting was perfectly mapley & a perfect thickness! I wish I got more on cookie crumbles because the bite I had was so yummy. The berries and macadamia nuts were good too. Such a fun treat! The mini was a perfect size. After my friend and I ordered our cake, we found out that we could've chosen two cake bases- so pro tip if you want to have two different cakes, just ask! The shop had examples of their beautiful full cakes on display. There is a small window bench if you want to eat your cake there.

    Smores mini cake cup

Having been to City O City and Off the Bottle Refill Shop a few times, I had been meaning to try this all-vegan cake bar on the same block for a long time! I got the new smores flavor mini cake cup and someone else in the store was buying the birthday cake pictured below. The cake cup was so sweet and delicious, a truly perfect pick-me-up. The staff member was super friendly and told me that she had loved going there so much that she had to join the team! The store itself is small and super cute, with merch like shirts, totes, stickers, and more. It's a carry-out place, and I can't wait to order a cake in the future, and I'll most certainly get desserts here for my future wedding . Give this place your business!! 10/10 would recommend!

This cake was so yummy!!! Crumbly but not as bad as many gluten free vegan cakes/pastries are. The strawberry layer was my fav. The aesthetic was on point with my Lover themed bachelorette party (though my friend who organized was disappointed they added so much yellow when she sent them inspo clearly lacking yellow, so maybe be super duper specific to make sure it comes out just how you want.) can't comment on pricing but was ready for pickup right when we stopped by the place!

    Love these orange slice earrings!

A friend and I were craving dessert after teaching a workout. What a concept! You pick out your cake, frosting, and toppings. They also sell tons of fun things like ice cream, pastries, etc. I had yellow cake with cookies & cream frosting, caramel, graham cracker, and oreo cookie pieces. This is not a dry cup of cake. It tastes almost as though it is mixed with frosting, similar texture to the inside of a cake pop. It's smooth, moist, creamy, it melts in your mouth. I'm obsessed. My friend opted for more fruity options, lemon base, strawberry buttercream, lemon lavendar drizzle, strawberries, and strawberry oreo pieces. She has a ton of allergies so it was so nice to see a place using allergen friendly ingredients. It's a smaller shop, minimal seating but the bench by the window is comfy, super colorful and cute vibe. Both individuals that were working were so kind & helpful! We really enjoyed our trip here and will be back. Only downside is street parking but hey, that's downtown. Support small business! Support small, female owned, black owned, lgbtq+ owned business! Happy to see some dessert variety here in Denver. Vegan, lots of gf options :)

    Chantilly cake

I ordered a chantilly cake for my birthday and it was ready on time and was delicious! My family kept commenting on how no one would ever know it was vegan. Well worth the hour drive to pick it up. Fair price and high quality.

Customer service: 10/10 Cake: 8/10 Frosting: 1/10 We ordered the cake in a cup. Honestly it was the too sweet for me and my boyfriend. The actual cake was delicious. The technique for filling the bowl could've have been cake, frosting, cake, frosting to help with the sweetness. I ended up eating the cake without the frosting and so did he. Give it a try! Overall it was a good experience.

    Cake

The CUTEST AND MOST DELICIOUS CAKE!!!! So beautifully matched the inspiration picture I sent. Not only is it so pretty, but the cake tastes soooo good!

    Strawberry crunch cake

If I could give this business more stars I would. This was by far the best cake I have ever had in my life, it was so delicious and it was such great quality. The service and staff were amazing as well (professional, helpful, friendly). It is definitely worth a try, thank you Cake Bar!

Delightful little confectionary hole-in-the-wall near the capitable. (Read that as written...it's fun...emphasis on the first syllable.) We were in town to see a few of my son's LDS mission haunts, and stopped here to say hi and taste the treats. The mini cupcake cup is small, but packs a wallop! It would have been enough of my 3 person family to share...so rich and frostingy. My lemon based cup was fantastic. Because I had my own, I really did make it last a few days. Super nice people here. We'll visit again.

I had it saved but couldn't quite remember why...until we turned the corner and saw a line out the door around noon on a Sunday. Normally that might be a dealbreaker, but once we saw the food coming out, we were all in, it looked way too good to pass up. The menu is stacked: everything from sweet pastries to savory sandwiches and even pizzas on what looked like fresh, fluffy focaccia. I went with the prosciutto sandwich (prosciutto, cheese, pesto on focaccia), and it was incredible--simple, fresh, and packed with flavor. My girlfriend had the ham sandwich on a baguette, which was just as good. We were also tempted by the turkey and some seasonal options, so we'll definitely be back to try more. We couldn't leave without grabbing a couple pastries. The almond croissant was a hit (my girlfriend saved it for the next morning and loved it), and the standout for me was the cinnamon white chocolate cookie--kind of like a snickerdoodle but with white chocolate chips. Easily a top tier cookie. Between the quality, variety, and how clearly everything is made with care, this place jumped straight to the top of my list. Worth the wait, worth the hype, and absolutely worth a return trip.

I sure was one of them today as when I stepped in it was past 2pm. What I had in mind was (of course) all gone which forced me to go some alternative option. The vanilla custard bun was simply the right size for me (I not too long ago had just had my late breakfast so I was still quite full from it.) Perfectly brown on some of the custard on top. This Portuguese style dessert is a staple at any bakery or dessert shop. It's moist and yet the flaky out layers made the perfect sound as I bit into it. As of this writing, I haven't had the baguette yet but I can only imagine how delicious it would be (as the kind lady upfront was telling other customer that.) For a great business like GetRight's, I do the drive to get to it from my southeast Denver home. It's my utmost duty to support them.

For the meals: - hash (corned beef is perfectly cooked and it's a nice sized portion with a runny poached egg on top and hollandaise over a crispy/well-seasoned Rösti - very good but a little on the heavy side for me) - benny (loved the flavors of this one and that duck confit was so flavorful and tender. Also, loved the bright, refreshing salad it comes with) - veggie omelet (I didn't try this one, but my brother in law said it was a great, traditional omelet - nice and cheesy) - stuffed French toast (WOWWWW - no notes. It is a fantastic destination for groups or just a solo morning out. Whether you want a savory breakfast bagel sandwich or a beautiful pastry, The Denver Central Market always hits the spot. I'll definitely be back to explore more.

YOU HAD ME AT PIE I…read moredrove 1 hour and 22 minutes to meet a friend here and it was worth the time and price of gas! SERIOUSLY! Don't underestimate PIE...LEGACY PIE as a reward for yourself no matter how far you need to drive to get there!! Do I have pictures? Sadly no. I gobbled my cherry hand pie down so fast that my Grandma Lucile would have chastised me for my rude behavior! My friend ordered the chicken pot pie and it looked so yummy I bought one to take home to my husband. I enjoyed the curry hand pie and boy - what a fantastic flavor in pie crust! Double Yum! My only regret today is I didn't buy a few more mini pies to take home to my freezer! Way to go small business! #pieisawayoflife PS The store is very cute and decorated with fun little gifts or treats you could make as a hostess gift when you stop to get a pie to bring for dessert. #DontwalkRUN!

I tried the hot and read buffalo chicken sandwich, and the pork green chile. I thought both were good. Definitely more emphasis on the bread in these than you would get somewhere else, but that is to be expected with it being a pie shop. I liked the pork a little bit more. They were more filling than I expected but also I didn't think about how much bread there was until after. Also got the key lime pie for dessert later in the day which I loved. Good amount of whipped cream, and had great flavor. Not too crumbly on the crust either. And finally I did get the take and bake chicken pot pie. Which I thought was excellent. Fair value for the size, I think. The large got me 3 meals but probably could have stretched it to 4. But it was so good that I just kept eating more. Had good amounts of chicken in it and good ratio with the veggies. I would definitely return here. Would definitely get the pot pies and key lime pie again. I wouldn't go out of my way to get them, but if I was in the area and needing something quick and easy to eat, I would get 1 of the hot and ready sandwiches too - I thought they were fairly priced too.
