My first time visiting the Carlsbad Camp Store, and here is my general recap. Located on the premises of South Carlsbad State Beach campgrounds, it is open to all. This is an outdoor-only venue offering food and drinks for purchase. They have an amazing variety of pizzas for such a small place, as well as good choices of local beer on tap. I got the sense that the crowd is mostly locals who enjoy visiting for the live music, the overall atmosphere (or 'vibe') and the sunset views. Lots of seating areas that fill up very quickly; most of the seating is first-come, first-served, but there are some tables you can reserve. Besides pizzas and drinks, there is a full convenience store that sells all the necessities. Parking is very limited next to the Camp Store so mostly people park outside of the park on the street. We enjoyed the last day of their Halloween light show, which was pretty cool. I understand that next month there will be a Christmas lights display. My only suggestion is that they provide some form of heating for the colder months.

My first visit enjoying a Marguerite and sunset views.

Ok- first there's amazing pizza- that's all the food anyone needs imho. Second- everyone there is friendly and helpful. The drinks are good and service great. Ambiance/ ocean views! It's why we live here! Add music and you have a 5 star review

Awesome little spot at the campgrounds, solid pizza offerings and great selection of wines/draft beers and other snacks. Usually a bit of a line on weekends, but everyone is friendly and helpful. Cool place to hang out while camping at Carlsbad.

What a great addition to South Carlsbad campgrounds. The owner refurbished the old camp store during the pandemic and makes this a great destination for snacks, pizzas, craft beer (draft and cans) and live music. Plus they have light shows during the holidays. The area is great for families, kids and even dogs on leash. We love that we can walk from our neighborhood. Parking is non-existent but you can park nearby on Avenida Encinas with a short walk

We absolutely LOVE this place. Killer vibes. Hard-working staff. Food and drink perfection. Tip of the hat to Christina, in particular! Always EPIC. Can't wait till next time!

Very cool outdoor spot to grab pizza and a drink while listening to live music by the beach! Pricing was reasonable and most beers, wines, and hard ciders were $5-6. There were a good variety of pizza ($15+) and ~10 options, as well as appetizers like tots and fries ($5+). Service was very friendly and welcoming. There is only outdoor seating and seating is very limited! Be sure to come early during the weekends because it gets very crowded! If there is a line to order, be prepared to wait ~30 minutes for your food, especially the pizza! However, the pizza is worth the wait! Ordering is easy- you order at the window and you give them your phone # and they text you when your order is ready. There is a gift store attached to the restaurant and it has a lot of cool souvenirs! The Surfsquatch ($18) was very delicious and had plenty of pepperoni, bacon, sausage, and mozzarella! Super fresh and flavorful without being too salty! I'm usually not a big fan of crust but their crust is super crispy and good! Wish the pizza was bigger but other than that, very yummy! This was 8/10 Tater tots ($6) were ok, nothing too special. They were crispy and they give you a lot! Not too salty or greasy so it was not bad. This was 7/10 Ashland Mango Strawberry Hard Seltzer ($5.57) was ok, not as fruity and sweet as I was expecting but it wasn't too bad. This was 7/10 Seaborn Passion Guava Hard Seltzer ($5.57) was very good. Slightly sweet and fruity but had a small kick to it! Very refreshing and delicious! This was 8/10 Enjoyed listening to the free live band performing! It would have been more enjoyable if it was less crowded and more seating with shade. Other than that, I really enjoyed how close it was to the beach and the free entertainment! Would definitely recommend and return

Came here during the Jurassic park pop up event. Wow. What a cool spot! In the camp store you'll find all the merch and essentials you'll need while camping. What wow'd my husband and I the most about this store was the pizza. Do not sleep on the pizza. I repeat... do NOT sleep on the pizza!! Why was it so good? Not sure. But it was pure magic haha. Melt in your mouth type of pizza. There's plenty of picnic tables outside with an ocean view. Shout out to the amazing workers here who kept us fed during this busy event! They were friendly and kind. I appreciate their customer service. 10 out of 10 recommend the camp store. The only downside can be parking. Once it's full, you might have to drive, park then walk.

We came for the Dino experience and it was absolutely amazing. The kids thought it was the most amazing thing. We made reservations online to ensure we got a table. $15 not bad! The experience its self is free. Parking is horrible though. We parked at Ralph's down the hill and walked the bridge over. We ordered pizza, cheese curds and fries. 5 kids lol. went in the cute gift shop after. We spent 2+ hours and it was such an amazing afternoon. The view over the bluff was breathtaking. Small breeze kept the area cool.

A fantastic casual spot right at the beach for live music, cheap drinks, and great food! We absolutely love this spot for a casual outing after work or on the weekend, but beware the parking is quite limited (park up the street at the Ralph's center and walk over instead) and the line to order can get pretty long as this is a popular spot! I love their gluten free pizza options (and the fact that the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating re allergies), and they have all sorts of other great bites as well.

    Thank you Bree!
    Peter I.

Absolutely my favorite first stop. Bree runs an epic spot. Perfect views and fun people everywhere. The view is a 10 and music is different every night. Food is basic and great. You like tots? Perfect. Wings? Great and pizza perfect. But it's the vibe you must experience. Great staff. Thank you for our table. Back tomorrow, that is how fun it is.

Brought us everything we asked for quickly (extra ice, parm & red pepper flakes, drink refills, etc). I bought some pastries at the bakery next door & he stored them in the walk-in cooler as it was 94° outside. Our food was served quickly & the checks were processed quickly. The food! I got the chicken & sun dried tomato white pizza - excellent - and shared with a friend. My side salad was large enough to be an entree. Everyone at the table made yummy noises & agreed we would be back. It's a real test of a restaurant's skill to serve a large group, and Del Lusso passed with flying colors. We had reasonable wait times, received hot food, the server was top notch, and check processing was quick. The only issue was that on a 90°+ day the landlord refused to turn off the giant fire feature & nearly roasted us to death. Landlords do t care about customers & this guy was being a jerk just to be a jerk. Everything else far exceeded our expectations! I will be going again & our neighbors have already agreed that Del Lusso will be on our rotation for future dine out events.

Everything was great! The bbq chicken was flavorful and had a great balance of bbq sauce and chicken. The crust was nice and crunchy on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside. The size is perfect for a party of 2-3! The kids pizza was a perfect size for my toddler who didn't finish it all but was very happy with the taste. They definitely don't hold back on the cheese!! So if you like cheesy pizza, this is the spot for you! Vibes/Ambiance : 7/10 We came on a Tuesday evening and there was a lot of people! I definitely can tell this place is a go to for sports events or just gatherings. The place itself is cute. The decor is a little funky yet modern in design. I will say the seating is a bit crowded and it feels a bit claustrophobic. The tables are very close to each other and the tables are small. This place having a bar is a major plus and the variety of drinks is huge! Such a great spot. The service was quick and they were very nice. The gentleman in the front was super welcoming and friendly. I will say, as someone who was only a visitor, Carlsbad doesn't seem too friendly overall. People seem very standoff ish and unwelcoming so the places we did go to that had friendly people really stood out. This place was one of them. If we're ever in town again, we'll definitely go back!

Once I realized it was super close, I got the family together and we made a visit on a Saturday. Parking was super easy and once we walked in, suddenly realized how large the place was. So much room! And with a ton of TV's. Only issue here is the TV's appear small because the room and walls are so large. Minor problem but time to get that 100" for the Padres games. We called our order in ahead of time, knowing it would take 15-20 min to drive down. Large deep-dish pepperoni and 12 buffalo wings, half mild and half spicy. Fam said wings were spicy but I didn't think so at all. Guess it depends on your tolerance. The deep dish pizza was phenomenal. I still don't know of any place in Oceanside or Carlsbad that serves deep dish Chicago style pizza (other than Rosati's in Encinitas). Service was great. Calling ahead was a huge win because everything was ready the moment we walked in. Just had to buy some beers and pay the tab (~ $80-ish). I didn't get a receipt which I now wished I had. Beers were ice cold. Nice to see they have a whole bar in the back, though it's a bit strange. Most places would put the bar up-front by the entrance so you can see how packed or fun a place is without stepping in. We will most definitely be back to try other stuff now that we know how close they are. Can't wait to try happy hour.
