This is a difficult review. We went for lunch and absolutely enjoyed everything we ordered. Sorry I don't have pictures but I highly recommend the French onion soup and Caesar salad. I asked if they use organic and ingredients. I would think that they do considering the price and insistence on exceptionally high quality. Our lovely server returned with the answer to our question. No, they do not use organic ingredients. Does this mean that the cows are not grass fed? That the produce is covered with pesticides that are not properly washed off? I'm not okay with this. I don't know if there is a Capital Grille that I didn't like. Every time they treated you with care and the food is simply amazing. Beside the Rib Eye, NY strip and Porterhouse, another one of our favorites is their lobster Mac & cheese. That succulent lobster with super creamy mac & cheese put you in seven heaven. The creamy spinach or Brussel sprouts or string beans with onion or mashed potatoes are perfectly done and compliment your meal. Tonight, we stay on the red meat, three NY strip and one filet mignon with grilled shrimp and Crab Oscar add-on. The grilled shrimp and Crab Oscar added an extra kick and a perfect combination to charred steak! Our steaks were cooked perfectly with a nice sear. To celebrate any special event, they serve a complimentary champagne and for the lady a long stem Red or White rose! For birthday, you get that burning candle on your dessert. What a wonderful tradition! That cheese cake, Crème Brulee, Expresso Chocolate cake will put a final touch to your meal. 8/24/2021 I had a $75 GiftCard to The Capital Grill since Christmas! Use it or loose it.. I went to the Naples Fl restaurant. Mid Afternoon. Sat at the bar. Restaurant is Nice. Very Dark. Traditional Steak House ambiance. Started with French Onion Soup. It was delicious. Deep Rich Beef Flavor and plenty of baked cheese. For wine I had the R Hill Cabernet. Main Course was the NY Strip. MedRare. Without a doubt a very fine steak. Outside had the Char. Inside was a Perfect Medium Rare. I like to cut my bites paper thin and use the natural.au jus as a sauce. THE PICKY EATER FROM BOSTON Review: The Capital Grill 9005 Mercato Drive Naples, FL 239-254-0640 Last night we ventured up North for a very special Valentine's Day Dinner at The Capital Grille. It's one of those much sought after restaurants offering the perfect atmosphere, superlative service and absolutely amazing food! THE AMBIANCE: As you enter, the clubby, steakhouse atmosphere is so moody and distinctive; one can immediately sense that you're in for a very special evening. There is a main dining area and around the perimeter of the restaurant are many private, smaller dining rooms. We were in a beautiful room with only 8 tables. The décor was so rich and inviting; the walls were deep burgundy and covered with beautiful original gold framed oil paintings, there were heavy drapes and carpeting and the chairs were upholstered with Navy blue velvet creating the most elegant and quiet ambiance. THE BREAD: The bread basket was bountiful and featured four different types of warm and crusty offerings. We had to contain ourselves from eating them all and spoiling our appetites. THE MARTINI: While they offer an outstanding wine selection, a Belvedere Martini, up with olives is my drink of choice. This one was a bit harsh, drinkable but not memorable. Having said that, it was the only thing that wasn't absolutely perfect! THE FOOD: My Valentine started with the Buratta salad with vine ripened heirloom tomatoes, served with crisp crostini and aged balsamic. $17 For his entrée he chose the Tomahawk Veal Chop with sage butter, Marsala jus and crispy prosciutto. It was enormous and came bone-in, looking incredibly delicious and a bit pre-historic. He said it was absolutely delicious; tender, juicy and seasoned to perfection. $63 I skipped an appetizer and ordered the 14oz. Dry Aged New York Strip Steak Au Poivre . It arrived on a warm plate, with a crusty coating of freshly cracked peppercorns and sitting in a little pond of dreamy Courvoisier cream sauce. Oh my gosh, it was absolute perfection! $56 We ordered two sides to share, first was a hot little cauldron of Au Gratin potatoes, layered slices of potato in a delicious blend of cheeses and topped with seasoned breadcrumbs. We also ordered a side of roasted wild mushrooms that were so delicious; beefy, tender and the perfect pairing for our entrees. Each $12 THE LADIES ROOM: I know it's indelicate but I always review the ladies room. It was perfect of course. When I exited, due to my keen sense of direction and one Martini... I took a wrong turn and ended up walking around the entire restaurant before getting back to our private dining room. It did give me a chance to take in the whole establishment which is absolutely gorgeous. There's an inviting bar and lounge which is a bit more casual, and an open kitchen which was impeccable and bustling with uniformed Chefs. The whole environment is so stunning with antiques and oil paintings on the walls and happy diners all around. FINAL THOUGHTS: The Capital Grille is a top of the mark establishment. Celebrated my birthday here last night. We always love Capital Grille, this was our first time at this location. They were very welcoming, had the table decorated with confetti and a card. We started with a free champagne toast and even a sprite toast with a raspberry for my son. The bread service is delicious. For appetizers, we started with steak tartare, jumbo lump crab cocktail, and 6 raw oysters. Everything was great and the entire table enjoyed everything. They were very accommodating to my moms butter allergy. I had the filet with the butter poached lobster, and the sauce was a nice touch. Lobster was cooked perfectly as well. My son had the kids steak with fries and he loved it. Everyone stole some fries, which came in a huge basket and they were great. Others had the sliced filet with the onions, mushroom, and fig and another filet/lobster combo. For desert they brought me a cute plate with crème brûlée cheesecake and espresso flourless cake. Others enjoyed the coconut cream pie and espresso. Perfect birthday evening. We will definitely return! read more

This was our first visit to the Naples location. We had a reservation and were greeted/seated promptly. Parking was a short walk. While very busy we found a place to park quickly. Adam was host for the evening and did a fantastic job. He helped us with both drink and food selections. We had a NY Strip that was a special on the menu last night. It was excellent. I am a musician that wanted to come here to relax on a Friday night with a friend from out of town. Evidently dressed, you would think they wouldn't sit us next to a family table. Mind you, there were other spots available and away from the center of the dining room. I typically never have this issue at other Capital Grilles or any other "formal" dining experience, but due to my inappropriate language (when we were the only few tables remaining at this point) they kicked us out. I had spoken to the family next to us, and even they weren't sure to say; as it wasn't as problematic as the restaurant manager made it appear. I will never be coming back to Florida for a variety of reasons, but I would never recommend anyone going here for both sides of this situation. The host/hostesses do not seat logically, therefore leading to a poor experience on both parties. Find another chain restaurant. read more

Celebrated my Dad's 70th here last night and it was perfect!! Our waiter Steve was kind and attentive. We had a party of 8 and everything was seamless and timely. Started off with a Champagne toast which was delightful! I had an espresso martini from the specialty drink menu, which was so delicious!! For appetizers my sister and I shared the Tuna Tartare and it was AMAZING!! We also shared a cup of Lobster Bisque which for me had way to much lobster (I'm not a huge lobster lover) but if your a lobster lover it's a must try topped with some dry sherry. For dinner a lot of us including myself got the Porcini Rubbed Bone in Ribeye. We should have split it it was massive!!! It was so delish and perfectly cooked. The balsamic reduction was amazing. For sides I really enjoyed the mushrooms and also the Brussels sprouts! We got a side of risotto too which was tasty but honestly could have been cooked a little more as I'm a risotto lover and it was just "ok". Went for a birthday dinner and it was amazing! We arrived early but they were able to seat us right away. Our server was great- very friendly and helpful. We started with prosciutto wrapped mozzarella with balsamic- amazing!!! Then a spinach salad with goat cheese, almonds and fresh berries. It was the best salad ever! My husband got the KC ribeye which was cooked perfectly. I got the filet and it was melt in your mouth delish. We got the mashed potatoes and they were the creamiest, dreamiest potatoes! The service we received was totally fine but the food was just terrible. I left my entire steak which is literally what I was looking forward to most. It tasted like the meat had gone bad for the 2 orders we placed which were a filet and a ribeye. The only thing that was spectacular was the mashed potatoes. Very unfortunate because my experience in the Miami location was so great I was very excited to try once I moved to Naples but will DEFINITELY not be going back. Wine arrived after our salads. I had a Caesar and it was average/good. 5 at the table ordered steak (I'm not a meat eater and not sure which one). Two of us had sea bass. Tasted great but not amazing in any way. Multiple family sides ordered and shared. Lobster mac n cheese was rich, flavorful and made great leftovers. Spinach, mushrooms fine. Been to capital Grille in Naples Florida. I had a great appetizer tomato with Burratta close It was like having a full meal. It was so good. The only thing I didn't like was the customers I was by myself and I was asked repeatedly to keep moving over so other people could sit at the bar not by the bartenders, but by the customers and I had to move my seat three times the next time I would've been in the parking lot so I finished my meal and left. Let me just start by saying that I'm giving a 5 star review and the food was brought to me at the hospital by my daughter. I had the Bone-In Kona Crusted Dry Aged NY Strip with Shallot Butter cooked medium rare with Sam's mashed potatoes. Absolutely AMAZING!!!! I can't wait to try it again but at the restaurant next time. Last but certainly not least, my dessert choice was the The Capital Grille Cheesecake, Brûlée style with fresh berries. This quite honestly is the BEST cheesecake I've ever had!!!! The cheesecake was the perfect creamy texture with the brûlée finish on top. OMG!!!! read more

We love The Capital Grille. The prosciutto mozzarella appetizer was wonderful as was the onion soup. I had the filet mignon with Gorgonzola, prepared perfectly, as was the bone-in strip steak Our server, Norby, was wonderful. He always makes suggestions that are spot-on for our tastes. From our arrival with the valet parking, to the doors being opened by Norby and his assistant, the evening could not have been better. The restaurant was quite busy but service etc was not affected. This was my first time at any Capital Grille. It was our first wedding anniversary and since most places here in Naples (Nosh, Baleen, Turtle Club) unfortunately got damaged from Ian, we were told by everyone to go to The Capital Grille. We were blown away. I put a note in our reservation about our anniversary and upon arrival we were warmly greeted and let to a table in a back room. Our table was decorated with heart confetti and a handwritten congratulatory note was on the table. They followed up with two glasses of champagne. It was totally unexpected. The service was impeccable. And the food was even better. We had the bacon Korean BBQ appetizer, the Rib Eye, and the Lobster Mac N Cheese. Everything was some of the best food I've tasted in a very long time (on par with Nosh, which I hate to compare, they are both very different but amazing) We even got a dessert at the end! They told us they specialize in celebrations. I would recommend everyone come here for their special celebration. We are absolutely coming here for everyone of ours and our families. read more

Beautiful and high class steakhouse with delicious food! I was attending a private presentation dinner party in one of the rooms I cared inside the capital grille for an event tonight. The wait staff was wonderful and well timed with the food from the appetizers, salads, breads, entrees, and dessert. We were able to have a great informative dinner and enjoy some incredible dishes. I think any food option on the menu is a great choice. I ordered the Kona bone-in steak as well as some a la carte side dishes. Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned just the right amount. I will say that the set up for the presentation seemed pretty crammed, but I know that you just have to work with the space that you have. The servers were very aware of the presentation occurring, so they were quiet and swift when refilling glasses and removing plates. Came here with a party of 14 to celebrate Mother's Day for some delicious dry aged steaks and award winning wines. This place is great for hosting large parties, special events with a fine dining experience and ambience. . I ended up ordering the 14oz dry aged 14oz Bone In NY Strip and Eggs off their Prix Fixe Brunch menu which came with soup or salad, main course and a dessert for $49.00. Service was a tad slower today but to be expected with a large party and they forgot to serve bread to our table which we had to ask for. Cocktail- In Fashion is a twist on the classic "Old Fashion" cocktail with Russell's Reserve 10 Year small batch bourbon, Grand Marnier and black walnut bitters, served over an orange ice sphere with an amarena cherry. This was a perfectly smooth tasting cocktail and highly recommend! Starter - French Onion Soup was delicious with lots of cheese and the soup base spot on and not overly salty. Main Course - Ny Strip was cooked to a perfect medium rare with a nice sear topped with a sunny side up egg that making for a perfect combination. Side - Balsamic Glazed Brussel Sprouts were okay. They were too sweet for our liking and don't recommend. Dessert - Creme Brûlée was decadent with a nice creamy custard and perfect light and crispy crust. Though the service was a bit slower in the beginning they finished strong. Everyone was pleased with their meals which made for a nice Mother's Day Brunch.
