$19 mimosas for an hour, yes please!

I had a great experience here! Stayed one night before we caught our cruise. The service is good, room was clean. This is a true boutique hotel so the elevator is slow and the rooms and bathrooms are small. BUT.... Location, location, location! The downstairs restaurant was great and had live music until 11pm. The patio is a great vibe for people watching, photos and just absorbing the Miami nightlife. I will definitely be back.

Stayed here for 3 nights for a conference in South Beach. Hotels in the area are typically overpriced, tiny, and not well maintained but I was pleasantly surprised with the Cardozo. The lobby is a little underwhelming, it's very small and the check-in desk is a little hard to find because you have to go up a staircase from the restaurant, and there's a weird odor that never really goes away. Once I was checked in though, I fell in love with my room. It was super modern and spacious. The bathroom was also very clean and nice. The bed was so comfortable, I typically have a hard time sleeping in hotels but I got the best sleep here. My only complaints about the room would be that every time the AC would turn on it would be a really loud sound, which was startling at first. And there was a giant painting/poster of a woman in my room right by my bed which was a little creepy waking up and feeling like someone was standing next to you... Lastly, I went down to the restaurant in the lobby one night to grab a quick bite and ordered the shrimp cocktail and was pretty disappointed. The shrimp had a weird taste/smell to it and it was served with a weird mayo instead of a cocktail sauce. Wouldn't recommend the food here.

Leaking a/c throughout our visit there. Staffs "fix" was to put more towels down on the marble floor to sop up all the water. I kid you not! Someone's going to slip on that and have a lawsuit on their hands. Had beautiful shrimp to eat in the restaurant but not served with cocktail sauce. We asked for cocktail sauce and no one could understand what we meant! Really? Very expensive to dine in South Beach. We checked out early and went farther north to Sol Miami which was the BEST place ever to stay. Going to review that next.

Poop or vomit right when we check in to our room

Pros: Great location on South Beach Night atmosphere is fun Live performance at night is amazing (great singers) Cons: Not the cleanest We were supposed to get a complimentary wine bottle and they said they would give it to us and we never did Right when we checked in there was either poop or vomit on our toilet and we had no toilet paper (we talked to the manager at night and looked at us like what do you want me to do? He said house keeping would deal with it, they showed up until 2-3pm to clean it the next day) We asked if someone can switch the carbon monoxide batteries for the alarm since it kept beeping and no one did (we heard it for 4 days straight)

    Free breakfast at the hotel.

I'm giving them a 5 because currently they are on here with 3 stars with only 10 reviews and they deserve to be MUCH higher, so I'm trying to give them a boost. They are probably a 4. Supposedly the whole hotel was shut down for a few years for renovation and have only been open for a few years since. Everything was clean and new and updated. We couldn't have afforded a room here on the weekend, but during the week it was much more reasonable. You couldn't have possibly picked a better location. Steps to the beach and every kind of restaurant possible. We parked our car when we arrived and didn't touch it until it was time to go. The hotel itself doesn't have parking, but next door is a big garage. It's $20 for 24 hours, which for the location seemed more than fair. The hourly rate wasn't bad, so if we wanted to go in and out it wouldn't have been that bad either. They do charge a resort fee, but that gets you access to beach towels, bike rentals, and beach chairs. On the beach you can rent umbrellas and plenty of other things. Breakfast is included. The downstairs restaurant is Call Me Cuban. We went to dinner there and it was absolutely phenomenal. For breakfast they have a full menu that you can pay for or a handful of very basic items that are included at no charge. It would have been better if they gave you a certificate for $10-15 or so per person to use in the cafe. We would have gotten a much better breakfast and spent more out of pocket.

This hotel was beautiful. Imagine art deco boutique! Me and my sis had the breakfast multiple times during our stay. We were hooked on their tasty breakfast burrito before heading to the beach. The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was helpful. We were able to take the hotel beach towels and Beach chairs were included in our stay because the hotel does Not have a pool. So the appeal is the amenities. On the last night we had thee most amazing conversation with some other guests and I probably had thee best mojito of my life because they blend and strain the mint cocktail. No more clogged straws or leafy greens between your teeth. This so dang good!

Loved the time spent at Cardozo on New Years Eve. Right after a day on the beach, this was the perfect place for drinks and appetizers! Their Mule is very good. Appetizers were all yummi and the portions are big enough to be shared. We tried their Truffle Yuca Fries, the guacamole, the mixed fried fish. Everything satisfactory. Place is clean and elegant. Service is good. Will go back for sure.

Beautiful rooms with a clean white minimalistic design.Right on the main drag in south beach. We were able to extend our stay with no reservations easily after being grounded by canceled flights, they said just come down in the morning and let us know if we needed another night and they would keep our room off reservations which took away the stress of moving hotels nightly while we waited for flights to resume. Parking on the street is a hit and miss, but they have valet parking for $40 unlimited in and out or you can park in the garage next door for $20 a night. You can't activate the elevators to get to the rooms without a hotel key so felt super safe with all the ruckus going on outside ( it is a party place for sure) they have a great bar and restaurant in the lobby which made going anywhere else inept. 5 minutes to the ocean across the street. Would definitely stay again when in SB.

We stayed one night at this hotel and we were pleasantly surprised with its location and the value for what we paid. Our check in process was a breeze and our room was ready right at check in! As for parking, we got lucky and the municipal garage next to hotel had a few open spots so we were able to park there for $20, which is a steal for Miami Beach! Normally parking could be upwards of $40 or more! The hotel is right on Ocean drive and our room had a view to the beach which was amazing! The room itself was adorned beautifully. The beds were comfortable and their bathroom was large and shower was really nice too! I was nervous at first that since we were right on Ocean Drive that it would be noisy and that we may not get much sleep but right at 12-1am everything quieted down which was perfect for us! Also, I live about 45 min from South Beach and had seen how news outlets reported that this area was getting to be dangerous. I was a little nervous about this too. However, it felt very safe because there were plenty of police patrolling the neighborhood making sure everyone was safe. In the morning the hotel offered the amenities of breakfast. This was a nice touch since in Miami nothing is free! For breakfast I had the scrambled eggs which came with bacon and home fries as well as a glass of orange juice. My hubby had the spinach omelette with coffee. Other amenities the hotel offered but we were not able to take a part of was the beach chairs at the beach and bikes to ride around the area. Ocean Drive is closed off to cars so pedestrian and cyclists alike were found up and down exploring this area. We also got to check out the bar at the hotel which was nice! Side note to anyone traveling to South Beach, most establishments will place a service charge on your bill so make sure you pay attention to that so that you don't over pay.

My gf and I stopped through here on our way out before boarding our flights later in the afternoon. If you're toting your luggage and not a hotel guest, you will have to find another hotel to store your luggage while enjoying this most decadent brunch experience. Luckily we arrived early enough to our reservations to sort that out. Reservations are a must if you don't want to wait. The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. There was so much more such as bread, fried stuff, eggs, bagel station, toast etc. One can only eat so much. I stuck to enjoying my favorites. The experience is pricey but so worth it. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!

Some disappointing things which was not their fault is the parking garage construction noise even on Sundays. The noise took away from my spa experience. They did nothing for the noise control. Also, the SPA requests you must arrive 30 minutes before your treatment time. I got my parking validated BUT we stayed for brunch who also validated our parking but we went over the 4 hours so we got no discount for parking and we were charged the full $35 fee plus tip for the valet. It's bold, glamorous, and buzzing in all the right ways, yet still manages to be welcoming and easy to enjoy no matter who you're traveling with. A true Miami classic that continues to deliver. Enjoy

This is a tourist trap extraordinaire. It made me feel like I was paying to be in a place trying to extract from me, not serve me. And yes, I did complain twice to the front staff about these issues - to stony faces and lame excuses that were canned and code for "we don't care." The resort fee is $60/day (which is not made clear on Orbitz, where I booked it), yet when I went in February the pool and all outdoor facilities - which is what the resort fee pays for - closed at 6pm. We were told it closes at "sundown," even though they clearly have outdoor lights for the whole outside facility. Want to swim in the evening or night? Nope. All those pictures with the pool lit up? Not for you. And if you dare to be in the pool at 6:01, there were six staff for every one guest to tell you to get out. Seriously, we got warnings to get out at 10min to 6, 5min to 6, and at 6:00. Why every five minutes? Because a group of staff members were hovering over us, watching and waiting for the moment to kick us out. Very relaxing. You have to wear an armband everywhere you go. Staff are at every door as you go in or out - hotel to pool or pool to beach - monitoring you to produce it. Very relaxing. There is no coffee in the room, forcing you to travel across the whole huge facility (3 towers connected by long walks) to their coffee shop to pay $10 for a cup of coffee each morning. You could walk all the way back to your room, or - like me - you can try to drink it by the pool. But NO! You can't sit by the pool. Those seats and lounges require you to pay a fee, even in February when there was NO ONE there. If you don't want to pay, you can find a free lounge on the outer fringes. And if you try to sit without paying, there are staff to tell you to move immediately. Hovering, as usual. To get a lounge on the beach - in February, low season - we had to get in line to sign up for a chair and then get in a second line of 20-30 people and wait in the hot sun for an available, assigned chair and a staff person to take us there. Grab a chair and relax? Nope. It's a monitored system. When we checked out, the staff told us there were too many rooms to provide a coffee maker in each one. I guess their policy is to assume their guests are stupid.
