I am not local. I'm from Omaha, Ne. I needed a couple of boards for a client meeting I had in Livermore and to say Brandon went above and beyond is an understatement. In Nebraska, a board for us is a cookie sheet covered in aluminum foil with some lunchmeat, cheese, and ritz crackers...I gave Brandon full creativity and he knocked it out of the park!!! Wow, talk about great cheese. This place gets all the stars for it's wonderful assortment of cheese and very knowledgeable staff. Visiting here gives me goose bumps. The more questions you ask the more informed you become. They have a great selection of local wine and beer alongside pickles, crackers and specialty meats. What a great find! Were looking for a charcuterie plate to go wine tasting and found this place on Yelp. What a great experience start to finish - called about a week ahead of time to let them know what we were looking for and they asked about our likes/dislikes, picked up when they opened on our wine to a winery. It was just perfect and both beautiful and delicious, they even sent a video walking us through the platter which was great and they followed up after to see how we enjoyed it. Five stars for custom orders and the shop itself! I ordered a cheese plate from the owner and it was FANTASTIC. He introduced me to some amazing cheeses that I still crave to this day! Today my family and I walked into downtown to grab some coffee and my husband wandered in here. I didn't get a chance to go in because my baby had just falling asleep and sometimes is woken up by people talking lolll so I stayed outside. BUT when we got home and opened the cheese and salami, my goodness was it delicious. And I literally got cheese from Whole Foods earlier in the week and I would pick the Cheese Parlor any day of the week. I do wish they were open later so I can swing by to get some cheese-But it may not be the healthiest decision for me LOL overall great cheese, great selection of meats and cheeses alike, great service, and if you choose a custom cheese board from here-you won't go wrong!! 10/10. Brandon and customer service personnel are fantastic! My daughter requested a charcuterie board for her bridal party and I contacted Brandon, artist and cheese enthusiast. First, as it was for a wedding, cost was a consideration and initially thought I would prepare myself with items from Costco, but artistic license is not my forte. I shopped around online and saw The Cheese Parlor. I reached out to Brandon, explained what I wanted in a charcuterie board and sandwiches for the groomsmen. Brandon called back on day shop closed (Monday). I went ahead, placed order, and cost was about the same as what limited items at Costco would be, plus labor and stress of making it look, if not pretty, appetizing. Brandon took all that concern off my "to do" plate, and created a beautiful display and explanation of the mouthwatering cheeses and fine meats and nibbles! The board was a huge success with bridesmaids (and never made it to the venue, it was shared in the hotel suite as hair/make up was being done). The bridal party was more than pleased - what was left did make it to prep area before ceremony, and fully consumed. I had a sampling - superb, highly recommend!! Groomsmen had delicious looking Italian sandos (cute name for very generous baguette sandwiches), also a hit, fully consumed. My daughter gave me strict instructions for 1 12 pack of beer for 7 groomsmen and dads! Uh, no! They had their fill and were better off for it (a little secret between my son-in-law and I! A bonding secret between us - off to a great start, what my daughter, the bride, doesn't know won't hurt her. Anyway, I highly recommend The Cheese Parlor! We had been wanting to try the Cheese Parlor for some time! We were excited to come in and we were not disappointed. Reminded me of some of the places I tried in Switzerland! Highly recommended. We ordered two boards for a baby shower. Brandon discussed the event with me prior to making them and asked about likes, dislikes, and preferences. He was very attentive to detail. The boards were fabulous. One of my favorite items was dark chocolate with pop rocks, that was super fun. The little red sweet peppers were awesome. The selection of meat and cheese was perfect and quite varied. Each board came with a little video detailing what each item was, and if the cheese rind was edible or not. A "must see" for your cheese provisions in Livermore. I've been hearing so much from locals about the Cheese Parlor, I had to try it for myself. It was way busier than I expected around 2 pm on a Sunday afternoon, but that might be because of their recent opening. They had 5 people on staff (I think) and they were all bustling doing a great job making sure everyone's needs were met. Super friendly and gracious to us since we had a 9 month old and we were somewhat limited on time before the crank monster came out. We ordered draft beers and cheese plate. It was blissful and delicious. If you are looking for cheese provisions during your wine tasting trip, I highly recommend stopping in. They have local wines (and beers) to taste in the shop as well as to go boxes of cheeses for your travels. I'd make this your first stop for the day. read more

He had not only had depth of knowledge of each cheese, but also of the additions to the cheese plate that complemented each cheese selection.
