Came in for lunch today and 1/2 off cheesecake day. I come in maybe 2-4 times a year and the 4 stars is a cumulative. Sometimes service is very slow especially at dinner. Today we got in right at 11 and there was already a lunch rush, but we did get in before the big crowd. Service was friendly and attentive. We tried the new Asian chicken nachos and they were absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender, the white cheese was complimentary to the other flavors, the wonton chips were crispy, and the sauces (a sweet teriyaki-like sauce, a wasabi aioli which wasn't remotely spicy (it was basically mayonnaise with a hint of horseradish) and a sweet peanut sauce and crushed peanuts. The flavor combination of the whole plate was fantastic. Also tried the chicken taquitos which came with salsa verde and guacamole and they were great, would for sure order again. Since they're fried it's surprising that they're one of the lowest calorie options. Win win! The Asian chicken lettuce wrap tacos are a favorite, my friend says she orders them every single time and often gets extra to go. I was very happy they had beets in stock today and I got my favorite, the Beet and Avocado salad. The flavor blend on this salad is completely perfect with the honey yogurt and raspberry drizzle, beets, fresh mandarins and avocados, and that mild bite from the arugula and radish. The quinoa gives it a nice little crunch and it's great with black pepper cracked over it. I think about this salad on a weekly basis. Today we both got my favorite cheesecake because it felt right for a hot summer day, the mango key lime cheesecake. Every element of this complements each other perfectly from the creaminess to the coconut crust to the tartness of the key lime cheesecake to the mango topping and mousse. 10/10 hard to beat this one for me. read more

Such a disappointing dinner. Yes, we had a group of 10, but we were not seated for 50 min, and not given our food for over 1.5 hrs. after being seated. It would've been ok if the food was amazing but it wasn't even close. Most of our food was cold, steak that was ordered medium-rare was cooked less than a rare steak, they forgot one of our plates, and got another wrong. Only highlight was the appetizer, a tamale cake that was surprisingly good. I understand it was a busy night, and a larger party. We love going to Cheesecake Factory for special occasions. My mom ordered steak Diane medium rare and she got it medium well. When we mentioned it to the server the server just said the bites are always overcooked because they continue to cook after being off the grill - we understand, but then take them off sooner so it is more to our order. We were disappointed, especially for a nice restaurant. My sister got the Baja shrimp bowl and said it was okay. Wasn't amazing and wasn't terrible. We got fried pickles to share and they were good! Just a small portion size - even for just 4 of us. My daughter got the kids spaghetti and meatball. It was a good portion size and she liked it. I got the four cheese pasta and it was okay. Not much flavor. I probably wouldn't get it again. The server was okay- she made up for it by bringing my sister, mom, and daughter each a birthday sundae since we were there celebrating their birthdays. All of the food was good, but not great! The stuffed mushrooms are smaller than expected, but had a lot of cheesy flavor. The fish tacos were good. It taste like they make their own tortillas. The Cheesecake Factory is one of those places you go to if everyone in your party is craving a different type of cuisine. I prefer their appetizers over the main dishes, and the avocado egg rolls are my favorite thing on the menu. During this visit, we luckily found a 4 top in the bar area and got served quickly! This location is in a mall so parking is kind of a pain but I thought it would be okay because they have a curbside pickup section. Unfortunately, there are only four spaces and the location and size of the spots make it very difficult to maneuver. The woman who parked next to me had to pull in and out four different times to get her car in. The young lady who brought our food out was very friendly. I ordered my usual shepherd's pie and my husband tried the new chicken katsu bowl. The food was good overall; my shepherd's pie was a little more oily than usual and the chicken katsu was a little dry but still both good. I also got my usual cheesecake which the white chocolate raspberry truffle but my husband decided to try the triple berry. This was our first time trying this particular one and I think I like it even better than my favorite. The cake layer makes it fluffier and even more delicious and the flavors are sublime. I had the blackened salmon this Valentine's Day. It was good, the salmon was cooked perfectly and was moist. Of course, their mashed potatoes are always a hit. My wife had a gigantic Thai salad that she enjoyed. All portions here are large. My server was attentive and friendly. The decor of Cheesecake Factory's are intriguing, sort of this Egyptian style of thing. But the tables and booths are comfortable. Busy, busy night. We got on the waitlist and it was already an hour and 20 minute wait. We missed our text that our table was ready. (Pro tip: Ask them what the phone number will be and put it in your contacts.) Ironically, I find their cheesecakes to be only so-so. I don't know. Oh well. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. Party of 2, horrible experience. My mom ordered bkfst, I ordered steak. Mine came out 5 min before hers. Once hers came out, it was the wrong benefict. She also requested that the poached eggs have the whites cooked. It to 25 min for her "new" order to come out. In the meantime, I slowly add, ordered a drink and ever shared my food with her. The waitress offered to comp us cheesecake, we were grateful for this offer. Then, after almost 30 min (gave my mom rest of my food), her order comes out any the eggs were completely raw inside, the yolk completely detached and the whites were complete, runny slime. I then found waitress and asked if she could just comp the dish, we had to go and my mom didn't want to place another order and wait. She agreed. Then, moments later manager comes to table to apologize and find out what happened. When we expressed the wrong order and runny whites, she proceeds to tell us "that is how our poached eggs are prepared" and began to recommend that we order scrambled at their establishment, to avoid this. Wtf? After going on a long tagent and justifying why their eggs are prepared that way, she they said she'd take this off. I confirmed that we could get a piece of cheesecake, per the waitress and the manager looked at me shocked and said, "absolutely not, I won't be comping your order AND cheesecake, that's a manager decision". I replied, "wow, ok... then scrap that order, we don't want one, and you better chat with your waitress then since she offered this". Really? You can't make this situation right with an $8 piece of cheesecake for my mom, who was unable to eat a meal with me, but rather had to wait, get a wrong order, then wait even longer and share my food, before then receiving food that was completely unappetizing and wrong AGAIN...petty and absolutely ridiculous. The manager was named Geri, under GM Elena, at the Fashion Place location in UT. Due to this lack of leadership, resolve, attention to detail and absolute lack of courtesy, I will never be going back, and will encourage everyone around me to contribute their funds to small, family owned breakfast businesses that are surpassing this restaurant in all areas. This place has just become another cheap, yucky franchise in UT....no integrity or authenticity here. Take your money elsewhere, there's so many better restaurants out there. read more

I am giving 2 stars but only because of the cheesecake. Food is half of a star. My husband, my mom and myself went for dinner last night. We had reservations so the wait to be seated was not bad. Our waiter was very nice. The food was unbelievably slow to come out and once it did was not great. My husband had fish and chips and the fish was marginal at best. I tasted a piece and it seemed tough which is strange for fish. He didn't complain but during the night he woke up sick several times. He then admitted that the last piece of fish was tough and perhaps not done. Also, the coleslaw was straight out of a bag with absolutely no dressing. My mom and I had the crusted chicken romano. I had white sauce which had absolutely no flavor at all. And the pasta seemed very oily. My mom had the marinara sauce and hers seemed ok. The chicken was good. The highlight was when the waiter took my plate and a smashed piece of shrimp fell off the bottom of the plate. Made me wonder just how clean the kitchen really is. We then ordered dessert to go and it took about 25 minutes just to get the dessert. Unfortunately this was not our first bad experience. Our previous 2 visits have been just as bad. Cheesecake Factory has been a family go-to option when everyone is craving different things and types of cuisines! There is something here for everyone. Impressed by the flat board pepperoni! I didn't have high expectations for it to be honest because I've found flatbreads to be generally too dry. This one surprised me. The crust had a fantastic chewyness and nice crunch to it! We went to order a gluten-free strawberry cheesecake for my grandson's 5th birthday party, which was a children's gathering. I made it very clear that it was extremely important for the cheesecake to be gluten-free because my grandson has celiac disease and cannot eat anything containing gluten. Unfortunately, we were sold a regular cheesecake instead. After eating it, my grandson has suffered from stomach pain and inflammation that continue even today. This is a very serious situation because customers trust that they are receiving exactly what they ordered and paid for. A child's health was put at risk because of this mistake. I am very disappointed and concerned about the lack of care regarding food allergies and celiac disease. I hope this issue is taken seriously so this does not happen to another family. read more

Not a place to go if your party is larger than 6 people - PERIOD. Just don't even try, trust me. Called well ahead of time would not accept a reservation for 14 people. Ok, so we all go there and wait, are told the wait is 1.5 hours on a Tuesday night. After 1.5 hours told 12 minutes. Time goes by, then told 20 more minutes. Then we start to get irate and the first apparent effort to find a table is made. Point to drive home: THIS WAS A TUESDAY NIGHT! Any busy time would be far worse! We are finally seated after 2 hours it was busy but not enough to justify the wait. All the smaller parties were nearly immediately seated while we waited. Our server was very good (5 stars) the main reason this not a two star review. She graciously handled our large party with 0 errors. The place was cold where they seated us with several in the party complaining and two going to the car for blankets. The food was decent but it was apparent my dish was prepared as one of the first as it was cold when brought out which made it less appealing, potatoes were too salty. The soup brought earlier was very good. Most at the table enjoyed the food once we finally received it. Price was on the higher end but honestly would not even be as much an issue if wasn't annoyed by the other things. Most of the negative reviews are also with large groups. Our birthday celebrations tend to be larger with groups of 8 to 16 people and these are mostly adults not kids. I can tell you with certainty that this restaurant will not even be a consideration for future events as they clearly cannot handle that party size even though they have exceptional servers that can and we tipped well to show our appreciation. My suggestion to management: it is completely clear to me now that you do not want large parties. The person at the front seemed more annoyed than helpful. (No apologies, no reassurances, no contact) if I could Un-tip the establishment or manager I certainly would and would give you 0 stars. Just TELL people up front that you don't accept parties larger than 6 so you don't have all the angry reviews. Suggestions to patrons: This was a freaking Tuesday night where smaller parties were just walking in and being seated, it's not going to get better than what we experienced. We ordered the Louisiana chicken pasta - the lunch portion. This came out fast & was hot & delicious . Very good . We also ordered the Crab wontons . These were hot & crispy full of crab meat . Got a table pretty quickly despite how crowded it was at 12 on a Tuesday. Waitress was very nice. My kids and I ordered and the food took awhile, which makes sense. When my pasta was handed to me I said "this is gluten free, right?" And the person said no it's not, I don't know what happened."
