The food at The Cheesecake Factory is good, at best. Is it gourmet ? No. The food in the entire chain is "typical " and rather boring. The bread that is served is usually rock hard, but for some strange reason , tonite it was not. The prices on the entire menu are completely "OUT OF CONTROL." $17 dollars for a simple cheeseburger (including tax ). The prices are just INSANE! If your thinking of going . Don't. Just go to any local 5 star restaurant instead . Because if you are going to pay 5 star prices at a chain restaurant, your better off not going at all . Their cheesecake slices have gotten extremely small about a year ago . The good news is that the cheesecake slice prices are pretty much maxed out at about $8. If they were raised any higher, they might have to be moved to the entree section of the menu . Be prepared to wait... and wait a lot. On the weekends the wait can be upwards of 2 hours for only two people. Not good when you're starving after shopping. They also don't take reservations, and you can't put your name on the list ahead of time. Perhaps the wait wouldn't be so long if the service was a bit better. Everyone knows they're famous for their bread (now sold in supermarkets btw!) and on occasion I've gotten my meal before even being treated to the bread basket. They have so many options, and I've never had something that I didn't enjoy. Every serving is large and I frequently have leftovers to bring home. My favorites are the pasta, sandwiches and burgers. I love the cheesecake factory!! I've been going to this location since I was I high school and have never had a meal I didn't like. The portions are insane, so come hungry. I always walk in with the intention of getting cheesecake for dessert but never make it between the delicious pumpernickel bread they serve and half of my entree. I always end up taking at least half of my plate home no matter if it's lunch or dinner. Drinks are also great, but a little on the pricier side (prices for drinks are not listed on the menu) and I've also had some pretty great appetizers there as well. The only downside is that they don't take reservations so I've had to wait 1.5-2 hours for a table (party of 2) for dinner. Lunch doesn't really seem to be a problem with wait times- usually sit down right away or wait a max of ten minutes. Great option if you're in the mall! read more

I had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory this past Sunday after hanging out with some friends at Dave & Buster's nearby. We settled on Cheesecake Factory for convenience. Now I had not eaten at a Cheesecake Factory in years, and coming here reminded me why that was the case. The food wasn't terrible, it's just that the prices were pretty high and I don't feel the food reflected that. I ordered Chipotle Chicken Pasta and it was actually decent. The serving was pretty sizable but it was also $18. I don't mind paying a premium for food if it actually is premium food, but unfortunately that wasn't the case with Cheesecake Factory. I feel like I could quite easily make the same dish at home with store bought ingredients. But alas, it was getting late and Cheesecake Factory was convenient and close by. Went here on a Saturday night after shopping at Willowbrook Mall. The wait is what you would expect on a Saturday night--busy. I can always get a sense of how the night will be like based on how we're seated. The young lady takes us to our table and there is food all over the seat and table. She obviously apologizes and goes to gather the busboy. As she is talking to him, he brushes her off in full view of patrons--it was then I knew. She comes over and does it herself since we have been standing awkwardly next to other people eating for about five minutes. Being that it is not her job to clean tables, she does a poor job, so we sit in mild disgust. Normally I would walk out, but my family made sure to mention that "You always walk out, let's just have a good night," Fine. Nope. When we are finally somewhat comfortable, our waitress brings out bread with dirty-used plates. YES, DIRTY-USED PLATES. At this point I am thinking to myself, this cannot be real. I mention it to her, and after a weird staring contest she finally fetches the Kitchen Manager who then tells me he does not know how dirty plates got mixed into the clean plates. Lol????. By this time our entrees were already in, and we were starving so we stayed (I know, gross). The manager took off an appetizer from the bill. Will never be back. A complete failure from the top of management all the way down. If you do want to visit here, check the plates. I would just stay away and go to their Short Hills Mall location. read more

Two weeks ago we had one of the worst dining experiences we've had at a Cheesecake Factory unfortunately. I received a message requesting that I set up an account so someone could correspond with us. I figured we'd get a free slice of cheesecake or something so I took the time to set up a account as requested. I was then apologized to and told that someone would be in contact within 5-7 business days. Two weeks later nothing. Kind of like how we were left hanging at the restaurant for our condiments and utensils. And yes I enjoyed my fish and chips but unfortunately the next day reheated in my own kitchen because by the time I received my ketchup and tarter sauce the rest of my party was finished eating their meals. My mother in law ate her $25+ steak with a butter knife instead of waiting. To top it off when I asked for my fish and chips to go they threw away my coke slaw and I had to ask for that as well. All and all a terrible time for over $100 meal. Then they make me spend time to create an account that they never responded to. Thanks again for the great service. Who doesn't come here for the cheesecake?! Their cheesecake is amazing! BUT so is their food. Everytime I come here, I always get the Mac and cheese balls. Sometimes I get it as my entree be side that's how filling they are. They are the best Mac and cheese bites I've ever had. The Mac and cheese tastes so good and very creamy. The outer part is breaded and crisped to perfection. The unique spin they have is putting vodka sauce on the plate for dipping and it enhances the taste of the actual meal. For about $100 for four with tax and tip, you get a choice meal with something for everyone, including two drinks, and two desserts. Plan on $140 if everyone has one drink and one dessert. The service is consistently good, and you can tell that Cheesecake Factory recruits and trains well. We had one handicapped person...very accommodating. Desserts are a favorite with some family members. Tip: Ask the price of any specials to avoid surprises. I ordered catfish, pecan crusted with two sides...most excellent for $17. It is usually crowded here in my experience, and I'm sure getting closer to Christmas is only going to make that worse. Still going to have better lucky here than at the food court! I do like that they have a whole "skinnylicious" menu. Some restaurants have their light options and list 4-6 options. This has a lot of great choices. And as cheesecake is a requirement, it's usually best to go light for the entree. I always try to try a different cheesecake, so this time went with the 30th anniversary which is "Layers of Our Original Cheesecake, Fudge Cake and Chocolate Truffle Cream." It was rich and sweet without going overboard, although with the size of the slices (and the cost) you really have to share. Still every slice I've had has been so tasty but I only indulge on rare occasions. The menu overall is a little pricey but has good variety, so it's definitely a good option if you are at the mall already and want to mix it up from the food court but it will likely be busy and some of the tables are really close together. read more

I've been to a few of their locations and am usually pretty happy with their food! Yesterday was a different story. They initially told us it would be a 20 minute wit, but we're called in in about 10! The rest of the story is filled with plenty of more surprises, but not as nice as that one. After sitting down, we didn't have any utensils or salt and pepper, but we had 2 little plates! Andrew was our waiter. He took our drink orders. I got a mojito, wife got a fruity drink. We both enjoyed our drinks. Mine could have used a little more mint, but was still good. He took our food orders, but he was always so quick to leave! I was about to ask him for a side to my entree, but he was turning around to leave already! He turned back around and took my side. What disappointed me was the table next to us sat down after we did, and we both got drinks at the same time. Not sure if the bar was backed up or something, but they ordered theirs 5-10 minutes later! Our apps came, we got pretzel bites with cheese sauce, and mozzarella sticks. Pretzel bites were OK, nothing special. Cheese sauce was very grainy! Not sure why... mozz sticks were good, but didn't have much flavor, the marinara sauce helped, so did the cheese sauce lol! Well we had to use our hands because we never got utensils, so naturally our fingers got dirty! We had to wait for Andrew to come nearby to get utensils. It then took him 3 minutes to locate some for us.... In the mean time we used the cup napkins to clean our fingers lol! Our entrees came. Wife got shrimp scampi, I got the chicken and biscuits with no mushrooms! They were OK, but a little on the bland side.... It needed salt and pepper. I tried to locate our waiter, but couldn't wait any longer. The table next to us had 2 sets, so we had to ask our neighbors for them. The snp helped! We were full, so we took about half home. We decided to take dessert to go! My wife ordered one to go, and as I'm about to order mine, Andrew is halfway gone again! Wife got an oreo cheesecake, and I got the Cinnabon one. Hers was pretty good. Mine tasted like peanut butter. It didn't really taste like Cinnabon. All in all, we were dealt a pretty bad luck hand yesterday, I know that service and food isn't usually that off! Hopefully others have a much better experience than I did. read more

Their takeout service is awful. Several weeks ago I tried to place an order for pickup on their website and after going through the entire process, I was blocked from finishing the order. I called them and they said their computers were down. I was never able to complete the order. Today, I called them to order takeout. First, they told me 20 minutes but it was ready in 15, fine, cool. I stood at the bakery line and there were two people ahead of me. There was no attempt to try to get a second cashier to speed things along. The woman in front of me was particularly slow and was allowed to continue her phone call while the cashier just waited patiently. There was no attempt to try and quickly complete the transaction. By the time it was my turn, I had already been waiting in line for 10 minutes. I then attempted to pay, and swiped two different cards three times, and again there was (what I assume to be) a computer issue. This took another 10 minutes to resolve. By the time I got my food, paid, and got home, my food was soggy and cold. It was a frustrating experience. I highly recommend choosing a different restaurant if you are looking for takeout. read more

Took the family to eat Saturday night, after doing a little shopping@ Willowbrook mall...we came in got seated right away the hostess was polite always kept a smile as she led us to our seats which was located towards the back by the mall entrance... The waiter was polite and kept a smile as well, as he introduced himself and told us about the specials for the day...we inquired about certain items that was a favorite of ours and he told us they just took it off the menu and he can reccomend something that would be as great...we noticed a couple of things was taking off the menu but it was still a variety of things that we decide to still stay and go for something different... I tried the teriyaki chicken, with rice and vegetables and it was hit...the drink I went wit was a Georgia peach it was great as well , the service , the food, the drinks was perfect we had a blast we enjoyed ourself and the waiter always checked up on us and was able to accommodate us in any way form and fashion it was a great note minus the cars flooding up and down rt46 lol read more
