Stop being cheap and have more staff. He barely checked on our table, and had to be reminded to bring the bread that was asked for. Never offered to refill our waters. I end up getting a very small portion of chicken. Almost nothing. Just one little quarter of a single chicken breast. I requested to have some more in a fair amount. After I got that, the first small piece of chicken ended up being all fat since I couldn't chew into it. If I didn't order that extra piece of grilled chicken, that first little piece was literally all fat on a Caesar salad. Still love this place but didn't have the best experience with the food. First thing I noticed about this restaurant: It is FREEZING inside. The cool temperature provided a relief from the 94+ degrees outside; however, I wasn't expecting to enter an icebox. Our party of party of 8 was seated at a table after a chilly fifteen minutes of waiting. Most of us had perused the menu while we waited and had a good idea about what we wanted to eat. Our waitress captured our orders and repeated everything back to us to confirm. Our orders were brought to the table one plate at a time, which was awkward. I was disappointed in my carne asada steak entree. The steak was over cooked, the rice was bland, and the corn looked like someone had just warmed up a bag of corn and placed it on my plate. Nothing special about this dish! My friend enjoyed her jambalaya pasta. There was mixed reviews on the other pasta and steak dishes at the table, but we were hungry so we ate as much as we could. My nieces left most of their pasta uneaten because they didn't like the food. We didn't want to leave without ordering the eponymous cheesecake, so we ordered a few slices to go. The cheesecake was probably the best part of the meal. Sadly, I can't recommend any of the other food on the menu! read more

It saddens me to write this review. Disclaimer: I'm not a fan of The Cheesecake Factory but my mom enjoys it. We decided to take my mom to an early Mother's Day dinner on Saturday to avoid the mad house on Sunday. We were told the wait would be about 45 mins. We ended up being seated in 15 mins. Our server Kat took our orders without the use of paper which was pretty cool. We ran into some hiccups that could have been avoided. Kat didn't let us finish our sentences before she was off to another table. She decided to answer us from 2 feet away which was totally unacceptable. This occurred throughout our entire dining experience. We were never asked if we wanted anything extra or if we wanted anything to drink. When we requested additional drinks it took 15 mins to arrive at our table. We requested extra blue cheese which took another 15 mins to come out. By time we received everything it was too late. Napkins were requested but never showed up. We started off with apps which consisted of Hot Spinach and Cheese Dip, Buffalo Wings, Chicken Quesadilla, and the Tex Mex Rolls. For dinner my parents ordered the Factory Combination of Steak Diane and Chicken Madeira which came with mashed potatoes. I attempted to eat the chicken quesadilla and Tex Mex Rolls but neither item agreed with my stomach. Unfortunately I had to throw up. The pros: easy to get reservations. The cons: the wait staff, absolutely the worst! The guy resembled. Lurch form the Adams Family with a matching personality. He didn't write down the order then kept forgetting what we ordered and you got it, he messed up the order. The people at the next table couldn't stop laughing at the unfolding comedy scene...except I wasn't laughing. When the correct food finally arrived, it was the over priced corporate looking meal you expect from The Factory. Never once did the waiter ask us if we needed anything, we're satisfied or refilled our drinks. Let's just say $100 for two for a very underwhelming dining experience. The other waiters seemed to be getting their orders correct and even felt compassion for us and took our desert order since Lurch didn't seem to care. There's a reason I don't give two star reviews very often - because I generally choose not to go to places that I expect will be bad. When restaurant choices are out of my control, or I'm on the road, all bets are off. I have to say that the food here was better than I expected. I stuck with the Skinnylicious menu, so that I was not having each course be 1200+ calories, and it was not bad. Greek salad was decent; beet-arugula-goat cheese was actually quite good, and very low carb. The tuna tataki salad was not bad (really boring tomatoes, decent avocado, decent seared tuna, nice greens). I liked the brown bread, and the low-carb cheesecake (had a few bites, ditto the mashed potatoes) was pretty good. But I really don't want to wait 70 minutes for a table (esp. after they had said it would be 30-45 minutes at this time of day), crammed like lemmings in the waiting area, only to be seated and get indifferent/inefficient service. Food would come, but then we would need to wait longer for silverware, dressings, or for the correct food to come (well done burger v. rare for instance) If you come at an off hour and luck out with a server, you could have a four-star experience here with what I ordered. I went between thinking of giving one star, three stars, and back to one star, before deciding to go back up to two because the manager was nice (he helped us at a low point during the meal) and I liked what I had. read more

My husband and I ordered takeout from the Wayne, NJ location. We arrived at a little after 9pm, social distancing order were appropriately followed. The server was responsive, as we ordered for take out. I ordered the fish and chips. Decent serving, I have left overs for another day. Four pieces of fried cold, generous serving of French fries and cold slaw. The fish was however tasteless, the fries were decent and the cold slaw swam in mayonnaise unfortunately. I'm going to split with this review at 3 stars. Why? What's up with giving a dual review? I have no choice. Let's start from the beginning with the service. I ordered online, walked in at the time I was told to and basically no one acknowledged me. I stood there for a solid 6 minutes before the woman at the reception area looked at me. In their defense, the guy was intently watching the Browns vs Cowboys game. Got my food and headed out. We got a few slices of cheesecake, a Flatbread pizza and Tex Mex egg rolls. Pizza was tiny considering it was $9 and fairly greasy (We got the fresh basil, tomato and cheese). Average at best. Tex Mex egg rolls were slightly above average. Your basic frozen appetizer in my opinion. That night, we tried the Cheesecake which did pick up the slack. I got the Tiramisu cheesecake and my wife got the strawberry cheesecake. Both were phenomenal! Very very good. So in conclusion... Cheesecake Factory holds true for their cheesecake... Apps didn't impress me much. The food was pretty good to be honest but the bathroom...yea! That wasn't so clean. I did tell Miss Abby of the matter and she was kind enough to remove the appetizer off my bill. Service wise, I feel like the servers have too many tables at a time so while my server, Alex, gave great service I would've liked for her to come back a little more often. This is even keeping in mind that there was a clear misunderstanding in my order but Alex made it right by bringing me a new order of something else. Having been a server myself I know what it is to make a mistake and then do right by the customer so that they may enjoy their food and Alex did exactly that. In any case, the food and service is 5 stars and I will definitely be coming back. I just ask that the bathroom be a little cleaner and less slippery. The cheesecake factory had always just been an "ok" restaurant for me. The food is not bad but it does not really have that wow factor. They do serve very good pumpernickel bread before the actual meal starts and that had always been pleasurable. But i guess the menu may be a hit or miss. So far i had enjoyed their teriyaki chicken. It has a nice flavor to it. And the salmons on the menu are usually pretty good. I had tried their bang bang chicken and i just find the coconut overpowering that i'd prefer Thai Kitchen's instead. I recently had their Pasta Da Vinci. The chicken on it was done well but i found the pasta sauce a bit more on the sweeter side and i wasn't a big fan of that. As for desserts, well, they have good cheesecakes and i do enjoy the fudge cake. Even better that it still tastes good overnight after being in the fridge. I've dined here a few times and service has always been good. On this visit my friend and I ordered the Chinese chicken and the mango chicken salads. While portions are huge, unfortunately there was barely any chicken in either of our salads. In the mango chicken picture you can see it was one thin cutlet they threw on. There was no further chicken whatsoever in that pile. Our cucumber mojitos were tasty too, but the second round was much sweeter than the first. The star though was the guacamole and chips! I was devouring that guac! Chips were fresh and warm too! Overall I enjoyed myself, but 4 drinks, guac n chips and 2 salads cost us $100 before tip! The 4 mojitos alone cost over $50! You're end up reviewing the service and consistency of the food. Our service was great. We had a party of 15 and the waitress was very attentive and helpful. We called to reserve our space and it was ready for us when we arrived. Our food was great. Munched on the nachos and yum! Definitely would order them again. We also ordered the spinach artichoke dip and we scrapped the bowl. For lunch I had the cobb salad (just wish they didn't use iceberg) and it was tasty. Ordered the lunch size which was huge enough to have for dinner. We decided to order one big cheesecake and split it between us all. Atrocious. What should have been an hour meal at most, turned into a 2 hour+ nightmare. Food was cold and tasteless. Server was inattentive and was more concerned with flirting with guests at another table. Everything we asked for had to be asked for twice. I reached out via their website and received a response from an undertrained manager by the name of James Johnston who called me and said "you had a similar complaint a few months back." Gee. Let's examine that. What if I did have a similar incident before? Maybe thats the reason why it took me so long to come back and give this place another chance. It looks like nothing has changed since I last visited. Looks like a huge reflection on the part of the management and lack of it. Maybe James and his other managers should check on guests and do table visits to ensure guest satisfaction instead of congregating at the hostess stand. First time being to the restaurant, greatly impressed and the service provided by Catalina was absolutely amazing. Drinks were kind of weak but nothing a double shot wouldn't fix. I'm a Cheesecake Factory fan. Whether its Happy Hour, lunch or dinner I haven't been disappointed. Like any other Cheesecake Factory there will be a wait if it is during peak hours. After being seated bread is given along with your drink order. The whole grain bread is. My favorite of the two they give you. Some other reviewers have had issues with servers. I never had an issue. Just picked up dinner. Long wait was understandable but the employees were arguing with each other which made the wait even longer. Unpacked the order at home and got what I think is supposed to be my son's kids meal with chicken, carrots and French fries except the chicken looks like someone got hungry and ate part of it and there were no French fries. I feel compelled to share my experience because I'm very disappointed. My family and I eat out frequently and eating at this Cheesecake Factory was horrible enough for me to make my first negative review. The managers are not capable of resolving minor issues, especially Cole. The food was normal Cheesecake Factory food so we don't expect five stars, just a family night out. However, we didn't expect each entree to come out at different times, which is what happened. My family was done when my Salmon and veggies came out, lukewarm! On a whim, we decided on dinner around 5pm this past Sunday. No wait, we were seated quickly and greeted promptly by our server. Drink orders taken and delivered quickly and bread delivered to the table. Entrees were timed perfectly after we finished our appetizers and our server was attentive, friendly and checked back with us often. This is how it is done! As for the food? Obviously, the pandemic has really hit hard on restaurants and staffing but I have been here twice in the last two months and both times were disappointing.
