I have purchased two cars from the Chevy Exchange this past year. We go back because we love working with Rafat Alamawi, the General Manager, and Dan Trujillo, as our Salesperson. Danny is one of the kindest and most genuine people you will ever meet in the car business. He knows his cars and understands our needs. Rafat goes above and beyond in making sure that we receive first class service and can get the car that fits our unique specifications. After the purchase, Baja did a fantastic job at explaining our warranties and options. Everyone that we interact with at the dealership is pleasant and knowledgeable.

I have always been a fan of cars (and bikes). I've had a number of notable ones and as such, I have had a variety of transaction experiences - dealers, private parties, online and in-person auctions, etc., but I have to say I have never had a better transactional experience that what I had at Chevy Exchange in Lake Bluff, IL. First of all, Viviana Quinto was great in keeping in touch with rapid responses via email, calls, and text. As I live 200 miles away, that gave me great peace of mind. She managed all the paperwork, negotiations, financing, and even a wheel swap. All done perfectly albeit long distance. Once I arrived at the dealership, Danny Trujillo took over and was just amazing in his thorough orientation to the car's functionality and options. His knowledge and expertise of all the ins-and-outs of the new C8 was so very helpful and appreciated. He also set me up with OnStar and the app. He was very patient with my myriad of questions and wanting to try out and set every imaginable feature the 2023 C8 had to offer. As it was spec'd as a Z51 2LT there was a lot to cover, and by the time I left, I felt very comfortable and confident that I knew how to properly use all the features. I highly recommend both Danny Trujillo and Viviana Quinto, they were great to work with and I'd be happy to do so again in the future. Thanks!

My 2017 that was bought from this dealership.

The team (Tim-Salesman & Jason-GM) did reach out to us and apologize; however, Dan Raba, Sales Manager) Who Jason said would get back to me never really did. He played text games like a 12-year-old schoolgirl. Even when I called and left him a message, he never actually called me back. Not what I would expect out of an adult Sales Manager. Dan should be lucky he does not work for me, as he would be gone for his lack of maturity and ability to follow up with customers. Anyways, the Honda of Libertyville Team did pull through in the end by not being able to locate the floormats and purchased a really nice high-end matching Ford Bronco floormat. Better than expected. In all fairness, they initially tried to play the game of we will get you the carpet mats, or if you remove the review, you can get the high-end mats. I explained to them that I'm kind of about principle, in case you haven't noticed. Strong-arming does not work for me. That's not going to happen, in case you can't tell. I said, put yourself in my shoes during this experience, how would you feel? They said point well taken. So in the end, Team Honda of Libertyville pulled through, but they just got off to a really, and I mean really, slow start. In all fairness, without this post, I'm not certain how things would have ended. But they ended well. The End - Semi-Upset Customer ********************************************************************************************************************** I had a terrible experience with Honda of Libertyville and want to warn anyone considering buying a vehicle there. On March 28, 2026, I purchased a used 2024 Ford Bronco from them. When I first saw the car, it had carpeted floor mats and sunroof covers in the trunk. During the financing process, the dealership took the car to "detail" it. When I got home later that day, the floor mats were gone. My son reached out to our salesman, **Timothy Koszczuk**, about the missing mats, and his response was dismissive -- suggesting we "check the we-owe." There was no "we-owe"; the mats were in the vehicle when we bought it, and the dealership misplaced them. I then spoke to the sales manager, **Zeeshan**, who said he'd look into it but never followed up. After that, I emailed the new general manager, **Jason Bulthuis**, on April 1st, 2026. He didn't reply until I called him on April 3rd, 2026. To his credit, he apologized and agreed the situation wasn't handled properly. Jason said he'd have his used-car sales manager, **Daniel Raba**, take care of it, and even offered to buy a replacement set near my home rather than making me drive back. That sounded great -- until they both stopped responding entirely. GHOSTED AGAIN It's now been well over two weeks, and I've received zero communication despite further calls and emails. Every person I dealt with there has failed to follow up or take responsibility (over a lousy set of $150-$200 car mats on a $45,000 car). Once they make the sale, it seems customer service stops completely. I'll never buy from this group again. Do yourself a favor -- take your business somewhere that values integrity and follow-through. Honda of Libertyville has shown me they do not. I hope the owner of Honda of Libertyville (Murgado Automotive Group, led by CEO Mario Murgado) sees this and knows who he has working for him. Absolutely pathetic !!! Tarnishing his trusted name over a few hundred bucks. Just wait until I pay to have a Blow Up Rat placed outside on the sidewalk protesting on a Saturday, how crappy the service is. I wonder how many deals will turn away. Well over $200 worth, I'm sure. The End - One Angry Customer

10 STARS Update:…read moreJune 17, 2026 I came here for oil change and mentioned some noise my husband was hearing. After thoroughly inspection the technician named Adrian stated that he will need to replaced the strut due to leakage. That being said, they provided a courtesy vehicle, allowing us to carry on with our day at no extra charge, which made things much easier for us. Whoever completed all the work on the vehicle, did an amazing job. The service at Karl Knauz is truly impeccable. From the moment you arrive, you're treated with professionalism, transparency, and genuine care. Kristy from service department is knowledgeable, attentive, and takes the time to explain everything clearly, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free. It's rare to find this level of service and attention to detail...exactly what you expect from the BMW brand. Highly recommend.

I simply came here since it's closer, They SAID they cut keys at Karl knauz too which is why I brought my registration. When I asked why I was handed a blank key the ugly smelly boy in the parts department I was talking to simply shrugged and didn't even care. I was told my refund would be sent to my address I have still NOT got my refund. I will get my refund or my new key I was SUPPOSED TO GET in other legal ways if means if need be. I have the transaction ID and all the receipts. Corporate bmw is currently investigating the situation as well. If you had any sort of brain in that building I would've had my key and not have called corporate.

There is nothing that warrants a good rating. The vehicle descriptions are very misleading and…read moreinaccurate. When you're selling a classic "restored" car, it should not look like a 50 year old vehicle. Gauges not working, turn signals not working, no information on the engine, suspension from the 70s, and there's was more wrong. This place may be ok for newer vehicles. However, if you're looking for a classic vehicle, look somewhere else. UPDATE: Since the reply to my original post wants to try to discredit my concerns, I guess now I'll justify a little more. First, the add no longer says "No expense was spared". Also, now states "older restoration". Looking at the pictures, from the same add mind you, is it 1 of 134 or 1 of 324? A list, or explanation of what was "restored" may help. As far as driving the car. The reply was 100% correct. No restore is perfect. Therefore, even if the body needs some work, you still drive the car. You don't know if gauges work, how the suspension feels, or if there are any wobbles or noises without driving. If it runs excellent, and everything works as it should, you then decide if the investment is worth the money needed to get it to where it needs to be. I'm not going to continue justifying my review. Please, go see the car. I can send you the original add for the car to compare. A more professional response would have been something like. "I'm sorry the vehicle didn't meet your expectations. We pride ourselves in depicting our vehicles in a true, straightforward manner. We will review the add and make any needed changes. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We look forward to doing business with you in the future."
