Got a text from them on my delivery date asking if they could come earlier than the scheduled time. While I appreciated the offer, I was at work so I declined. It's now 6:15pm, an hour and 15 past my scheduled time. Their "press three for emergency contact" goes to a voicemail. No one answered the general line or emails. My only option was to call the person who texted me offering an early pick up. He answered, called "the office" and then returned my call saying they'll deliver tomorrow. Unacceptable, so they said someone would be here "later". Still waiting, and the delivery guy wouldn't provide the "office" number he called where someone actually answered. I was really hoping this would go better. I was excited and ready to get packing before the long weekend of beautiful weather. EDIT: Anna called and said they'd be here within a half hour (7:00pm) and there was a dispatch mistake. Also offered a discount. EDIT #2: I was done with boxes early and asked if they could come pick them up sooner than the end of the week. 2 hours later, boxes gone. The boxes themselves are amazing. No tape, no broken cardboard, and HANDLES! Handles that don't rip and ruin a box. Totally worth it. read more

Fantastic service - would absolutely book this company again. The drop off/pick up was very straightforward with very professional service. The boxes themselves are fantastic - they stack, hold so much stuff and make things easier for the movers too. Since they're much sturdier than a typical cardboard box, you don't have to worry as much about wrapping things in a million layers so they don't break. We rented green moving boxes for our move from a high rise to a single family home. They were amazing. I am going to recommend to everyone I know. Boxes were easy to order, delivery and pick-up was timely, efficient and seamless. The boxes held a ton (though I needed more than the recommended per bedroom amount - we must have a lot of stuff); and were so much easier to use than cardboard. The service was pretty simple. They deliver a group of boxes on a palate and you can use them to pack most of your smaller things. They save time on moving, because they're easy for a moving company to stack. You arrange the drop off at your old place and pick up at the new place. I'll use again next time I move. read more

What a genius idea. Why pay so much for cardboard boxes? Why pay for something which you are going to end up throwing away? They were delivered to my house they day I requested. Already assembled. They are sturdy and the box are pretty much crush proof. They stack up one top of each other so your move is organized and boxes are not cluttered everywhere. I will never move with regular cardboard boxes again. The Moving Professionals dropped the Green Boxes off on the scheduled date. They easily stack so they didn't take up too much room in the apartment while I was waiting to pack. The boxes are large and hold a lot. They are also incredibly sturdy, so I wasn't worried about things being crushed or broken as I would be with cardboard. Our movers were easily able to stack and move them to our new place and once we got unpacked, we called for an early pickup. They came and collected the boxes the next day. Perfect solution for Moving. I needed them to move within my building. Delivery was onetime as scheduled, pick up came earlier in the day then originally scheduled at my request. Easy drop off, easy pick up: The Green Box worker brought all the boxes (15) into my old apartment, and took them all out of my new apartment (3 trips up and down 3 flights of stairs). Sturdy, convenient boxes: The boxes are the perfect size to fit a lot of stuff without getting too, too heavy. The movers I hired were able to haul them with no problems and it made for a very easy experience where I didn't have to worry about tape, reinforcing heavier boxes, or keeping fragile boxes on top. Good price: At first it seemed a little expensive to me, but once you factor in the savings from not having to buy boxes, tape, etc. and then add in the convience of not having to clean up or throw out the boxes, tape, etc. I would say it was well worth the price I paid. We had a great experience using The Chicago Greenbox! Scheduling the drop off and pick up couldn't have been easier - I was even able to reschedule the pick up to an earlier date without any issues. I did find that I needed to use some non-greenboxes (read: cardboard boxes retrieved from my building's trash area!) as I apparently have more belongings than the typical 1 bedroom home. I had to move again earlier this month. Chicago Green Box was highly communicative and was on time from delivery through pick up. I used 20 boxes for my small 1-bedroom, but probably could have used closer to 30. The boxes made it easier to pack and organize my belongings. They are very sturdy and were also easy to move around my apartment as they leave one small wheeled cart that the boxes fit in to. This was especially helpful for heavier boxes (books, dishes, etc.) to move them out of the way after I packed them. The employees I interacted with were kind and professional as well.
