We just had our 4th Sunday Brunch at the Breakers in 12 years and it does not disappoint. On this occasion we had family in from New York, one of whom was celebrating their 55th birthday. The food and ambiance of Flagler's signature structure gives a few European homes a run for its money. Since it was Christmas season, the Circle was more crowded than we remember, during off season visits, and at $165.00 per person, is still a bit steep. ($125, normally) Nevertheless we arrived just after 11:30 and really did not leave until almost 2:30. The trick we have realized is not to rush the meal, take small portions and savor everything. We will definitely go back, on any special occasion, but will probably give any of the holidays a miss. Regardless it is a five star hotel with five star treats. We highly recommend. read more

Everything at the Breakers is exceptional! "The Circle" is best for a special brunch. It's a once in year type of experience as you will literally gain weight from a single visit. Truly a first class experience! Hubby and I heard it's the best brunch in town and we were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we drove up to the property we felt like royalty. The decor of the Breakers is stunning. The high painted curling a are breathtaking. And of course the food is not only delicious but there is so much variety as well. We took our time there and just took everything in. The harpist is another great addition and really adds to the experience. Service is top notch and our waitress Nicole was absolutely fabulous. Excellent everything every time! My 6th time to the circle brunch and I am finally writing a review. Beautiful setting. Friendly happy service as well (We ask for Danielle) The brunch buffet has everything you could want from eggs Benedict, lobster, caviar, sushi, lamb chops, prime rib....etc. etc... We've noticed the last couple of trips they no longer have oysters and/or clams but they did add a bloody mary fixin' bar that's fun. Save room for dessert (if you can) .... Great for a special occasion or just a little bit of a splurge. Go hungry and don't expect to eat for the rest of the day. read more

We got at the circle room on time and the two hostesses said we would have to wait a few minutes for our table. 20 minutes later I asked how long then they said they could not guarantee and asked if I wanted to speak to a manager . Then they refused to get him . They were two young ladies at 2.20 pm yesterday in case anyone from the hotel reads it . I also asked the nasty hostesses if I could have a cookie or a piece of bread while I was waiting , they said absolutely not , that I could only eat in the circle room. They made us wait 45 minutes for a table when there were tables available . It was buffet but you are forced to give a 20 percent tip to someone who pours water . At 4 o clock after we were guaranteed 2 hours and the restaurant advertises 4.30 , our waiter who pours water told us that this was last call and they were closing the food bar and to pay up. I forgot to mention the food was terrible . The desserts are a waste of calories. Howleys has a coconut cake that blows the Breakers away for $9. The waiter and staff rushed us to get out because when we went and looked , the waiter and hostesses who made us wait 45 minutes to sit pushed us out so they could eat the food themselves in front of us in the room the hostesses said I was not allowed to eat a piece of bread in . The waitstaff denied us time and food for their own selfish reasons . I would never ever go to the brunch again . Food was terrible , service is atrocious. The staff knows the clients are getting hosed and they greatly enjoy the process of participating, especially those hostesses Where's the manager and why does he do nothing!!!!!!!! read more

The food is plentiful, the atmosphere is excellent, and the service is great. Hands down the best brunch I've ever had! The selection was insane with all the choices. You can stick with a traditional breakfast and omlete station but I never made it past all the seafood and sushi. There were desserts as far as you can see. Gold leafed torts, chocolates, macarons, cakes, pies, pettit fours, croquembouche, creme brule, you name it they had it! Bottomless mimosas were hand poured at the table with fresh orange juice. I asked for a spicy one at the bar, and the bartender directed me to the BLOODY MARY BAR. Everything from the usual celery and olives to crispy fried bacon garnish, 4-5 different peppers, green beans, asparagus, 3 different exotic salts, you name it. This is absolutely a must do when you are in Palm Beach and well worth the money spent. The seafood selection has everything you could possible think of: snow crab, stone crab, king crab, shrimp/prawns, (raw) oysters, caviar, sushi bar - it goes on and on. The crepe station has most of the fillings you would want: nutella, chocolate, whipped cream, fresh fruits, even liqueur. The only downside of this: their carving and omelette stations are average. For the Sunday brunch it's quite an experience with extravagant architecture that's well worth the cost of around 115 excluding tax/tip. Unlimited mimosas and high end champagne pays for itself. Wide array of cuisines from shellfish, lamb chops, sushi, and variety of desserts. Definitely will return in the near future to try the breakfast buffet. read more

I was highly disappointed by all the food. Especially the desserts. They look cute but the key lime was sour. The carrot cake didn't have cream cheese frosting, too much liquor in the tiramisu. The s'mores used marshmallow fluff and not real toasted marshmallows. Lol Mein Noodles were over and under cooked. The wonut tasted like a glazed donut simply in a waffle shape. King crab was too strong. Perogies had too much oil, the skin was not good. There is a Sushi boat and build your own ice cream sundae bar. Only two ice cream options. The have flour less cakes too. Muffin tops are good and moist. Be sure to check again for them because they go fast and there's a big variety to choose from which might not be out yet. The replenish most of the foods when they are taken so the areas don't run out or look picked over with leftovers by the end of brunch. Overpriced and mediocre in my opinion. We had heard about this for quite some time, and, finally, decided to take the one hour + drive up to Palm Beach on a bright sunny Sunday to enjoy this fabulous brunch. But wait........... As it turns out it this wasn't at all what we were expecting. Based on reviews I really thought this was going to be the "best brunch" ever. No not really. Before we get to the food, let me say The Breakers is still the majestic magnificent hotel it always was. From the magnificently painted ceilings to the beautiful furnishing, the Breakers still maintains its role of prominence on the Palm Beach landscape. The Brunch lacked the "important dishes" that would make the $110pp + tax and automatically added 20% service charge worthwhile. Instead we were filled with waffles, and crepes and creamy gnocchi with scallops, and shrimp (all cut very small) cheeses, some pate, and chicken liver pate. They did have a beef carving station, meh; the best dish was the lamb chops, freshly grilled and really delicious. They were the usual suspects -salads and bread and not much else worth anything. Apparently they felt it was best to put the money in the deserts. There were a lot of options here. Too many for me to good into; suffice it to say, no matter what your preference - chocolate, cheese cake, cookies, ice cream, and anything in between - it was all there. If only they had spent that much effort on the main buffet I know I wouldn't have minded the price. Our Brunch (for 2) + 2 wines, and 2 cocktails was $333.84 total. Me and my family went to Breakers for a Sunday brunch for the first time back in February. And the whole experience was amazing. I've made a reservation almost a month in advance and was thankful to be able to get in without a long wait. The service definitely earns 5 stars without any doubt. Our server was friendly and showed the highest attention to every detail. Our seating location was awesome too right by the window with the ocean view. The whole ambience of the Circle is spectacular, having a live music really brightened that rainy and chilly Sunday. Mimosas come complimentary but I opted for a plain champagne, very rich choice of drinks and cocktails. It would take a really long paragraph to describe the amount of quality appetizers and entrees they had but I'll tell about a few. Their 3 types of caviar are pretty high quality, and definitely worth trying. Mostly I enjoyed their lobster tails and crabs. The lamb chops were the best I've had in years, very good quality cuts. At the end it's definitely a must to save a room for a desert. They have 30 kinds of deserts. Is was the best Sunday brunch that I every had. I was impressed with the quality of service. We went to the most amazing Sunday Brunch at The Circle at the Breakers for my mom's fiance's birthday. The age range of our group ranged from the 20's through the 70's, and all five of us agreed that this is the best brunch we've ever eaten in our lives worldwide. The abundance of food selections, and champagne/bloodymary/ espresso drinks inclusive are great perks at this brunch. We delighted in the crepes made fresh from scratch, and waffles and omelets made to order. The cuisine chef staff were so courteous and helpful and our entire party appreciated that. The smoked salmon and sushi were fresh and high grade to our satisfied palates. Dessert was abundant with many mouth watering choices- all made from scratch in The Circle's kitchen. This brunch is a bit pricey but worth it if you come hungry and ready for a gorgeous view. The harp player really added ambiance to the atmosphere. I'm torn about writing this review. I have allowed for several days to pass to see if my mind has changed, but it hasn't so I've decided to write one. I've been to Circle for brunch three times during the past 12 months. The first two times were quite memorable. Most recently, this past Sunday, we went as a family to enjoy the brunch and the beautiful room. In my opinion, the food is fabulous and the selection is phenomenal at all stations. We had a few issues this time. First, we were at the first seating at 11am and found the service polite, but lacking consistency. I see in other reviews that this seems to be a common complaint overall. It took several reminders for us to receive our drinks and have our plates cleared. The worst part, and the reason I am writing this review, is that my husband took a bite out of a pancake and pulled a hair out! It was dangling and clearly had been cooked into the batter. We didn't want to cause a scene, but did mention it to a bus boy - who said he would send someone. No one followed up with our table though, and at that point, we didn't want to ruin our afternoon. We did write on the check (once we paid the full amount for 4 people) our concern and left our phone number. Again, we figured someone would take note and call us to address this. We're still waiting. I also notified the Breakers via Twitter and they acknowledged by "liking" my tweet, but again, no one called us. Having worked in luxury hospitality for over a decade early in my career, it is unfortunate that our recent experience was nowhere near up to the standards of Palm Beach service. I definitely have second thoughts when spending $600 for brunch for my family only to have basic hygiene and service details left unaddressed -- the issues don't go away. I have been to the Breakers several times with my family and have always had a wonderful time there. My 1 year wedding anniversary was coming up and I thought it would be a great idea to celebrate with brunch at The Breakers. I got married on November 22nd and this year it fell on a Sunday [perfect for Sunday brunch]. I booked a reservation about a month in advance for that date via Open Table. About 2 weeks after I made the reservation I got a call from the manager at The Circle [I forgot his name]. He was very nice but informed me that there will not be serving brunch on that date and offered that I come in the following Sunday and he would give us a discount and sit us by the ocean view seats. I agreed. I found out later that they weren't serving brunch because Sofia Vergara was getting married there that day. This ballroom is stunning! A harpist came to our table and played "My Heart Will Go On" for us. The brunch was delicious. We mostly had seafood. They have so many deserts!!! Our server brought us a plate that said happy anniversary with several deserts but we had already eaten deserts so she gave it to us in a to go box along with 2 cappuccino's to go. It is a little pricey but I believe it was worth the money. We walked around the hotel and saw all the ballrooms and terraces outside. Valet parking was free. Can't wait to come back! read more

Not sure how many stars to leave because I did not actually eat there. I made a reservation for brunch and was really looking forward to our meal. Until, that is, we got a call a week or so before from an older sounding woman who left a voicemail on my phone to confirm our reservation. And in the most patronizing tone she said "We just need you to know that your meal will cost $..... per person..... thats $!!!!!! PER PERSON and if you want to cancel please let us know." I was floored! I have NEVER had a a restaurant confirm a reservation like that, like she was talking to a couple of 15 year olds on welfare out for their first restaurant meal. She has no idea that we are successful business owners who were well aware of the cost of the meal and were more than able to pay for it. I really hope they read this and understand that it's not appropriate to potential customers like they are not only stupid but also dirt poor. I don't care how nice the place is, if I'm not treated properly from the start they will not get any of my money. read more
