Came here for breakfast one morning. They have their daily breakfast buffet, but if you are not the buffet type you can order a la carte - which was what I did. I think the breakfast buffets are $38pp daily and $115pp for Sunday brunch. I ordered off the menu and got their eggs benedict with Canadian bacon , it's served with crispy breakfast potatoes. O-m-g- I think it's quite possibly one of the best eggs benedict I've had in a long time. They don't go crazy with hollandaise sauce, I think that's what made it so good. And the potatoes were so amazingly crispy!! Who would have thought you can get potatoes to be that crispy without it being french fries. Delicious! The gentleman who waited one me was so thoughtful and asked if I would like to take the rest of my coffee in a to go cup so that I can enjoy it later. Of course I accepted! This is what a brunch should be, albeit quite pricey. (20% gratuity added in plus tax brings the cost for two to $267). Certainly excellent for special occasions and the food was great. Breakfast can be enjoyed here everyday day of the week from 7 to 11 a.m. other than on Sunday (7 to 10 a.m.). On Sundays, an elaborate brunch is served starting at 11 am. We were going to order room service but decided to walk around the property. We're so glad we did because we stumbled upon The Circle where a buffet breakfast is only $28 per person. You also have the opportunity to order off a menu but you get so much more bang for your buck with the buffet. You name it, the buffet has it. An omelet bar, fresh fruits, cheeses, scrambled eggs, waffles, pancakes, bacon, eggs Benedict, croissants, Krispy Kreme donuts, cereal, bagels, crispy potatoes, and more. The Circle dining room is absolutely gorgeous with ceilings that are 30 ft. high decorated with paintings of Italian landscapes. You can enjoy views of the ocean and of palm trees depending on where you're seated. A attendant is assigned to you to serve beverages and anything else you may request. Our server was attentive and very professional. My cold brew that I bought on property earlier accidentally got cleared by the bussing staff and she was extremely apologetic and immediately retrieved a new one for me. This was not a good idea. Pretty much everything on the buffet was at the wrong temperature. Omelette station was pedestrian. The finished product was runny in the middle and bland. The Alaskan King Crab (y we went) was not cleaned properly. They were cross sectioned for easy removal and dirt was liberally sprinkled across the crab meat. Additionally, the attachment point of the crab legs has remnant chunks of green. No sleeves or sleeved lemon are provided, which left a stupid amount of seeds on the plate. The large shrimp had some observable chunks of poop in the spine. The prawns were not cleaned. The lobster tails in the half shell looked cleaner than the crab. The lamb lollipops were cooked through (should be medium). The eggs Benedict was cold and the english muffin stale. The crepes had pre-made skins. The cheese bar had 3 items - no aged cheese. No hard cheeses. A pedestrian smoked Gouda, a bland manchego and brie. The sushi station had nothing special. On the dessert bar, the carrot cake tasted like an oatmeal cookie without raisins. Weird. The key lime pie square was nice. The tiramisu was disproportionate- only 1 tiny circle of cake at the bottom to 2 inches of cream. The creme brulee was not cold so the custard got watery. All in all not a good brunch and dreadful for the price. $350 for 2 adults and a baby. read more

The location and ambience is spectacular. Recently they went down in quality. They do not have a caviar station as they used to, now they bring you these small plates already served with caviar but it is not the same as before for even a higher price per person. You can order off the menu or choose to do the Buffet. I am usually not a buffet person. In fact I can only think of two places where I enjoyed a buffet for Brunch. One of them is The Circle. It isn't just any buffet. First off is the sheer beauty of the place. Second is the high quality of the food and the variety. As I said they have EVERYTHING. As pricey as the brunch is, my mom and I agreed it was worth every penny. The waiters were very attentive and kept the mimosa glasses filled. They also pour the mimosas table side so you can see the exact champagne to orange juice ratio (and be careful cause it's a dangerous ratio). Service was non existent ! For$145.00 p/p the least I expect is excellent service. Constantly flagging the server for everything from salt and pepper to removing used dishes to utensils. Once we asked for coffee - one hour after we sat she automatically brought us the bill and disappeared. Why? I was just getting started on dessert and still wanted my included mimosa. She didn't care after all 20% tip is automatically added to the bill. Now the food- Everything was at room temperature- the lobster claws were dirty - had hemolymph (the white gelatinous stuff) all over them - ugh! not cleaned properly and thrown on the dish, by the server. The shrimp was not on ice, seemed pan cooked, sprinkled with paprika but yet in the "cold section", lemon wedges were combined in the serving dish with the shrimp (should be separate), cold and in a sleeve to avoid pits from falling into plate. Had to wait for cocktail sauce. The servers at the stations were working several areas at once and were not very helpful or happy. No salads, rice, pasta- only thing to accompany the protein was potato's - really? ham & roast beef under the usual lamp, lamb lollipops allcold. Overall, food is pedestrian, insipid and cold. More like tapas rather than a meal. Champagne is Cooks! Cheapest champagne you can buy in any grocery store. Add to that 20% tip for food you serve yourself. The sushi section is a joke! The crepes are pre made and cold (should be warm) Desserts were beautiful but lacked flavor (not sugar) To end the afternoon we questioned the 35.00 valet charge only to find out it's included in the brunch - they had made a mistake and given us the wrong ticket. Absolutely amazing Christmas dinner in the Ponce de Leone Ballroom.. Not to be missed next year! I think because it was Greek Easter they got caught up in making sure all the Greek items were on tables.. not sure. I want explain my entire experience here. First of all the reviews have all been positive along with the pictures of food. We arrived after making a reservation months out, this was our weekend staycation in the area. When we stepped into we were immediately greeted and asked about our reservation. Seconds later we were taken to our seats. As we arrived to our table we were again provided excellent service as our drinks were taken and filled. This being our first time we were given the advice of "start slow and finish strong ". That is what we proceeded to do. All of the brunch items were tasty and we tried everything at least once. The view was also great, providing a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy every bite. Now this is not a cheap place to come so make sure know that going in. The location was wonderful. Beautiful decor, many venues to look through as well as upscale, quaint shops to browse as you are waiting for your reservation time. We were there for a Sunday brunch and were reminded via text, email & from the hostess, we had a 2 hour time slot in which to enjoy our experience. The layout of the buffet was explained to us as well as a description of what drinks were available. There were many delicious looking options. My salad and fruit were lovely. I went back to get some shrimp & possibly some crab legs. I'm allergic to lobster, so I asked the server to get a fresh tongs as the one she had was just used to place lobster tails & claw meat on others plates. The server was offended by my request even though I explained I was allergic. She muttered that I shouldn't be getting shrimp and walked away! Another server asked me what the problem was, as though I was causing a problem. I explained my allergies and asked for a clean tongs. He had to dig around in a utensil drawer for quite some time before producing a tongs to get the shrimp for me. There was not an apology for my wait time or inconvenience, which I felt was rude. The rest of my experience was tainted by the service. For the price of the brunch, I expected much better service. Food is food, what makes the dining top notch is the atmosphere and service. I went to Sunday brunch on a holiday weekend (Memorial) and was less than impressed. I grew up at the breakers and was excited to be back after a long time away to try their raved about brunch. It fell very Short and lacked value for the price you are paying. Looking at these photos makes me feel like I missed something at the buffet but in reality they just didn't have it. The website says stone crab claws, there was none it was just crab legs that you get at the 20$ Chinese buffet. I felt the buffet lacked substance for what you're paying for. The other photos look like there was a lot of good quality food but when we went there wasn't. The sushi was less than impressive. Lots of California rolls and only tuna and shrimp as their nigiri. I actually spit out a piece because it tasted like it was warm and sitting out for a while. The caviar was unimpressive and I heard the guy behind me agree. The lamb chops were tiny and were cooked fully through. Their cheese collection was small, but you don't really go to a buffet for cheese. They could have had a salad bar or something to add more Umph. The options were a bit limited for a $120 brunch.. The highlight of the buffet was the dessert bar that was bigger than the options of food available. They had made to order crepes (sort of as the crepe part was premade then heated up) , ice cream sundae bar with waffle cones (I didn't see brownies or bananas like the other photos), and an assortment of MANY other pastries and desserts. I didn't see fruit? Maybe I missed it. The service for how much money you're paying is terrible and the breakers should honestly be ashamed for the clientele they bring in. My silverware was never replaced and we had to ask to be refilled with our drinks. I read reviews that they kept pouring and never had an empty drink but that wasn't the case with our visit. I also just read you could order from the menu and get the buffet but this was never offered by our waiter or communicated. When we got there he never even communicated how the buffet worked... It's not so good anymore. I use to love this place, it was my favorite brunch in FL. There was wonderful service and you felt that it's luxury place. Now it's spoiled. Service is terrible. You have to find and catch your waiter. You never have water or drink in your glass. Quality of food not is not good anymore except oysters, it's still good. Crabs were disgusting, lobsters weren't tasty too. If you need black caviar you have to wait because nobody cares about caviar's bowl filling. Sushi were like I took it in cheap buffet. My last morning at The Breakers, and I awoke early to pack my bag and take a long walk along the shore of the Atlantic Ocean before breakfast. I left my luggage with the bell stand and followed the directions of the lady at the front desk back to The Circle when it was time to eat. The Circle boasts fabulous ocean views and soaring 30-foot frescoed ceilings. Eight oval murals depict Renaissance landscapes, including the Villa Medici near Florence and the famous Tivoli Gardens, south of Rome. (Geez, and all I wanted was a cup of hot tea and some fresh fruit!) Like most of the rooms inside of The Breakers, The Circle is an architectural and design marvel. This is the home of The Breakers famed Sunday Brunch where you can choose from an extensive buffet of hot and cold selections or order from the appetizing a la carte menu. The photos of the Brunch layout are mind-altering, with various stations all around this circular dining and special events room. The desserts table alone sports over 30 different choices. Now all of this brunch decadence comes with a fairly steep price of $95 per person plus tax and service charge. OK, maybe once......after I win the Lotto! The breakfast menu is served the remaining six days a week, and it felt much more reasonable by comparison. I had the crab cake Benedict which was two poached eggs sitting atop two golden brown jumbo lump crab cakes, and drizzled with Hollandaise sauce. That was served with crispy sea salt potatoes and caramelized onions for the meager price of $25. Hey, I was on an expense account budget, ok? Add to that a pot of Harney & Sons Green tea infused with coconut, ginger, vanilla, and lemongrass, and it was a pinkies up high-end breakfast as I gazed out at the Atlantic Ocean and nodded politely to my fellow diners. This is not a bargain basement IHOP-kinda meal, but rather a very elegant way to treat yourself before a stressful day of golf, or tennis, or lounging around the pool, or phone calls with your financial advisors. Let's be clear on something right away, I can eat tuna sandwiches in there and be happy. The room where the brunch is held is to die for. I visited for a wedding the night before and the transformation was just unbelievable. It was gorgeous the night before and even more stunning in the daylight. The glass rosette on the ceiling lets in just the right amount of light. There is no direct ocean view unless you sit by a window. Even then, it's a little far to be considered ocean view in my opinion. We arrived a little bit before they opened at 11:30am and we had a reservation. We checked in and waited until then. I cannot tell you how many people surrounded that hostess stand right after us. Even once people checked in, they lingered by the door like that would make them get called in first. Weird. Relax people! there's plenty of room for everyone. The room is huge and we had a reservation but even when we left there was still plenty of open seating. We were seated close to a window. Our waitress came by immediately to offer us drinks. She was great and on top of everything the entire time: service with a smile. Note, the bloody Mary was exceptional as well as the cappuccinos (yes, I had several of both). The buffet area is back outside towards the area you entered from. You have to leave the room to get to it. It is separated with sweets on the right side and everything else on the left side. I have to say, for the cost and reputation, the amount of food is kind of limited. The brunch at the Biltmore Hotel (Coral Gables) is 4 times the size of this one. That said, the quality of what they do offer was superb. Their seafood was the shining star that morning. I could not stop loading up on just about everything they had! Lobster, shrimp, crab, ceviche and all sorts of fish spreads. It was all cold, fresh and delicious! They also offer other meats served with either pastas or specialty rice as well as the usual tradition breakfast items. I guess I just wasn't in the mood for those that day but they did look good. The other highlight was the dessert station. Everything was decadent and just flying unto my plate (more like I had no self control!) Chocolate mousse domes, truffles, key lime tarts, cakes, chocolate dipped Oreo's and macarons were all lined up for me to have. Exquisite. Everyone was dressed "Palm Beach" appropriate: dresses, heels/wedges, sweater sets and accessories galore for the women. Slacks, shirts or collared tops for men. Not one person in shorts. The one guy in a raggedy tee, sneakers and jeans seemed out of place but hey, he was there eating and happy! Just an observation. I was left happy and VERY satisfied with my experience. If I am ever north again, I will be back. It's not as big as others but it definitively delivered on location, quality and service. In my eyes it does not win overall in a "Best South Florida Brunch" category like the Biltmore Hotel would but it's still a solid brunch to try at least once and perfect for special occasions. read more

This place is like a country club you see in the movies to the n'th power. It was described to me as very much like the Palace at Versailles and my girlfriend made the same comment there. This feast is what I expected to see when I died and went to heaven. Sunday Brunch at the Circle makes heaven a place on earth. The Service: Impeccable. My server asked me the occasion and I told her it was my girlfriend's birthday. She arranged a plate of desserts, lit candle on a raspberry yogurt, with "Happy Birthday" written in dark chocolate.
