Top notch casual. I had the grouper stack with a crab cake in the middle over risotto. I'd definitely order it again. My friends got a lobster Mac and cheese dish with plenty of large shrimp and chunks of lobster. It was awesome as well. The drinks were unique and flavorful. My friends and I went to Myrtle Beach and decided to check this place out. Overall, I would say it's worth the visit, and the food and atmosphere is good. Furthermore, the staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. I wouldn't even rate this a 4/5 stars, but 4.5/5 stars. The reason I took off points was because the mojito I ordered was kind of diluted and I didn't really like the taste. I also got the crab nachos but it was a lot for me to eat personally, but that being said, it is a good amount for a whole table to share; however, It was tasty. Absolutely the worst representation I have ever seen in a restaurant.. I understand that this was my first experience in the restaurant and although the fish tank was really cool; my observation... worst customer service I have ever witnessed.. We all have issues with challenges and although one cannot for see the crystal ball before hand; make the most of the situation and treat people with respect.. I hope the experience is good for those that try this restaurant as the ambiance and real estate seems appeasing, but when you greet a customer with such a lack of respect I question the culture that is created by the management and ownership..less than stellar performance... came from Texas and be treated like a second class citizen is disappointing.. never again... a Carolina raised middle aged man that traveled from afar to this horrific experience.. first impressions are lasting; this is one that I will never partake in again.. We originally came here largely because it was the only place we could find on the water that would allow our dog, but it ended up being much more. We sat in the outdoor bar area around back and enjoyed the Sunday afternoon water view. The beer selection is excellent and we enjoyed several Salty Golfer pineapple lagers. The crab nachos were creative and tasty, and the portion was nice-sized. We later enjoyed the surf and turf tacos and lettuce wraps, both of which were excellent and filling. Coupled with the excellent music of Austin Perry we ate, drank and sang our way thru a really nice afternoon, and we'll do it again! read more

Had lunch at The Claw House, Murells Inlet today and it was a major disappointment. Had Wellfleet and Mama Mia oysters on the half shell. Fresh oysters look plump and fresh and have lots of nicely salty fluid; these were starved & shrunken with hardly any fluid at $34 a dozen. Still alive but barely. One of the Mama Mia's was actually jet black and dead, literally, & another was shriveled & dead, but not quite as black! How could any person opening oysters place those oysters on the serving tray of ice? I showed to the waitress and she just looked at them and asked if I wanted another & I replied no, but did request that she show them to the manager. She came back with two replacement oysters, but no manager ever came out to say anything. The snow crab clusters were so old they were all dried out and definitely not recommended; we told the waitress they were not very good, but she simply took the plate away and didn't comment. It's such a beautiful place it's hard to understand how the food can be that terrible. I rate the meal we had today as one star and can't recommend this restaurant to my dining out friends. read more

We are regulars at House. Our favorite is to stop by for lobster sandwiches. They've increased the price drastically these last couple of year, but we accepted this increase knowing the food would be top shelf. Well that all ended our last visit on 8/3. I decided to treat the wife for lunch on her birthday and I left feeling ripped off. Lobster seemed about a 1/3 less in my sandwich. Cole slaw was warm and off and my wife's chip's were stale. You can overlook this as a bad day, any restaurant has those. But when you are charging your customers high prices, you better dang well 100% of the time live up to those prices. This review is based off my husband and son's experience as I personally do not like seafood and I had a simple spinach salad. My husband and son both had the clam chowder. My son ordered it first and after my husband tasted it he ordered a cup. My husband said it was the best clam chowder he has ever had. My son ordered the shrimp, chorizo, and avocado tacos. He enjoyed how the flavors complimented each other. My husband ordered the oyster po-boy sandwich. They make their own bread and my husband said it really made the sandwich. They also make their own coleslaw and my husband said that it was really good. They both gave Claw House 5 stars. I liked the energy when I walked in and loved the fish tank in the front waiting area. It was built by the guys who do the show Tanked. Take a nice stroll on the boardwalk and enjoy the inlet. Commercialized and not all that great. I took my husband here fir Fathers Day 2021. We will not go again. $30+ for one crab claw, 1/4 sausage dog, 1/2 corn on cob. I had to send it back and request something else because no way was that enough food. I got the fried seafood platter. It was more food and just "okay". Very ordinary. Nothing to go on about. My husband felt the same about his food and so did our daughters. It was very mediocre. I am sure there are much better seafood options. 2 stars for food. I went here while on vacation and trust me when I say this is a place you must visit when in the area. From the big beautiful fish tank with the cutest colored looking fish when you walk in the door. The whole decorated place screams good atmosphere. Now let's get to the food ( my favorite part). We started with the appetizer crab nachos and baby that plate did not come to play. It was the most healthiest looking plate I ever saw!!!! You could have literally just eaten that and be full. LOVE the fresh seafood here! We started with Calamari Fries which were lightly breaded and fried to a perfect crunchy and tender bite. Also enjoyed their Clam Chowder which was surprisingly light, yet creamy and fresh with tender bites of clam. Our entree was the Fisherman's Platter grilled and everything was positively perfect and oh, so fresh! The atmosphere was clean, open and airy with a friendly vibe. We sat indoors next to the outdoor seating, so it felt as if we were outdoors because of the all glass enclosure with the comfort of air conditioning. We were so caught up and impressed with the atmosphere and food that I completely forgot to photograph anything at all! The Claw House is located in the Murrell's Inlet Marsh Walk. They have a dedicated parking lot, which is nice, considering that sometimes it can be hard to find parking in the Marsh Walk area. Inside, right at the entrance, is a giant aquarium, which was really cool. Also, near the front where the basins where they kept the lobsters. There were only a few in there when we arrived, but perhaps they were getting restocked. There's a pretty large bar area off-centered in the dining area, and there were plenty of seats all around. The place looked very clean and well organized and near the back, there was a porch like outdoor dining area which is a fantastic option. Our waiter was extremely funny and pleasant and gave us a few suggestions, and the menu totes SO MANY seafood options. We ordered the "Claw House Mac", which was mac and cheese, with lobster. It was absolutely phenomenal. The cheese was nice and creamy and the chives, which was a great addition. Also, we ordered the "Claw Fries", which was fries with lobster, cheese, and chives. Was looking for a place to grab some seafood while in Myrtle Beach and Yelp brought me here. The Claw House didn't disappoint! When we walked into the restaurant, it wasn't busy at all. There were some people in the bar area, but the dining area was pretty much empty. Did we picked the wrong restaurant?! The hostess took us to the outside seating area, and sure enough that's where everyone was. The weather was nice, so who wouldn't want to sit outside and enjoy the view of the water?! Our waitress was friendly and pretty attentive throughout the evening. I wasn't too hungry (had a late lunch), so decided on the fish fry bites for my main meal rather than a started and shared the claw fries with lobster. The fish fry bites came with more fried cod than I anticipated...definitely enough for a meal if accompanied by a side. I liked how the cod wasn't overly breaded. Squeeze some lemon juice and dip the bites into the tartar sauce...yum! If you get the claw fries, you need to add lobster. Totally worth the extra $11. DO IT! Perfectly cooked fries topped with queso, cheddar, green onions, bacon, AND lobster. Need I say more?! They were definitely generous with the chunks of lobster that came with the claw fries too. I also tried some of the naked lobster roll (which came with fries, chips, or cole slaw). Although good, I thought it was a little steep at $25. $21 or $22 would have been better. The roll was nice and buttery and had tons of lobster meat inside of it. The meat was tender, slightly sweet, and lightly seasoned. Fries were a better deal with this sandwich, but since we already ordered claw fries, opted for the cole slaw which I found to be okay.
