Ok so this was our third restaurant in MB and by far the best food. We wanted something a little more casual and they have a variety of soups and sandwiches with the seafood flare. My family said the clam chowder was some of the best they have had. I had the fish sandwich and it was perfect. My family had another sandwich and we all loved that they the bread wasn't too much. Don't go during the summer with large group. I was told that it'd be 45 minutes for our wait time (btw, they don't have many places to wait indoors) but it ended up taking an hour and 15 minutes to be seated after arriving at 5:20p. the waiter was friendly enough but took forever in everything. My Caesar wasn't cold but instead room temp and the atmosphere is one step up from a dive bar. Would not recommend. VERY limited parking onsite. The server we had did check up on our table but it shouldn't take that long to cook steamed shrimp and tacos! It was about 40 mins before our food came out. My tacos were okay not the best! The shrimp platter the shrimp were so over cooked they could bounce off the table! What a pleasant surprise! Very pleasant interior, or you can eat on the enclosed patio, or outside. We wanted the AC so sat inside at a nice large table. Had the clams casino dip and were blown away. We asked for the beer cheese to try as well, and it was the best we'd ever tasted. All came with nacho chips that were okay, but did not taste fresh. We had the seafood mac and cheese and shrimp with grits, which seemed pricey, but the portions were HUGE. The mac and cheese was bursting with scallops, lobster, and shrimp. The sauce was outstanding. The shrimp and grits were my first time, and I could not finish all the grits even though my mouth begged me to, or my stomach would have burst. So much flavor and creaminess! It would be hard to top this dish if I ever have it again. Service was outstanding and on point. Would definitely go back when we are on vacation again. I give it 4 stars because a bunch of really young people were working the front & right when we walked in, this teenage worker was just sitting behind the register playing on his phone & looked at us like we were a nuisance. Its my birthday month and my best friend ordered a gift card for me via phone.. she lives in CT, I live here in Murrells Inlet. She was told no problem, but that was over a week ago and even with me going there (I'm handicapped and their ramp to get in is extremely hard to traverse), and calling, I still have not received my gift card! They said they sent it via text. Last week I got a text from some 5 digit number that meant nothing to me so I of course deleted (not knowing it was a GC). Then when I went there they checked and said they saw the GC was ordered and would email the GC, never happened. When I called 2 days later they asked me for my friends credit card number, which of course I don't have! I told my friend to cancel the purchase. I have to give 5 stars for the food and the service. Came here on recommendations from a random passerby who said we had to try the crab nachos, we did and it was delicious! And big enough to share easily with a party of 4. I had the shrimp po boy and it was delicious exactly what I wanted. Service wise I have to say our waitress went above and beyond for us. not good is about the best this to say about this place. The waitress was fine but the manager was a joke. Early in our visit a giant cockroach greeted us by crawling through my legs. Once he was handled I mentioned to the manager about the problem. He shrugged it off and asked if we've ordered an appetizer. Since we did already he said ok and left. That was the last we saw of him. The food was the equivalent of fast food. I got the grouper stack in which I was presented with this fast food style entree. Two deep fried pieces of grouper and an under seasoned crab cake on a bed of rice. The lobster sauce didn't taste like much and was absorbed by the breading of the fried fish patties. This was severely disappointing. My wife got the fisherman's platter which was an under seasoned mess. Not awful But not good, especially for what you're paying. Always on POINT! This restaurant never disappoints from service to food. We had lunch yesterday and it was excellent Audreanna our wait person was polite, friendly and efficient. As always the food was fresh, served hot and presented in an attractive manner. The hostess was excellent sorry I didn't catch her name but she handled what could have been a shouting match politely and firmly. The problem was a couple walked in and was seated the guy had what looked like a gym bag slung over his shoulder with a computer bag on top. I thought it was odd but I noticed when they passed us there was a dog in a dog carrier bag. I assume the waitress noticed and told the hostess, she came over and told them only service dogs were permitted and immediately the woman blurted out "it's an emotional support dog" (yeah right) they were told the policy was no emotional support animals anymore as it had gotten out of hand and they had to remove the dog they grumbled a bit and got up and left telling the hostess they were going to report her. The hostess was concerned she would be disciplined but the general manager who just happened to be in assured her she did the right thing and not to worry at all. Another couple thanked her because one was highly allergic to dogs and was concerned. I really don't get people and this whole pet thing. They are your pet not your child and they do not belong in a public dining space. I have owned dogs most of my life and they were treated very well but I understood they are not people. They may be your "fur baby" but not mine! The hostess went on to tell us the policy changed because people were seating their "fur babies" on a chair and in more then one instance let dogs walk on the table and eat off their plates DISGUSTING. read more

This used to be one of our favorite dinner stops, but our recent visit was just sad. The prices have gone up (which is ok and I know it happens), but the quality of food and service went WAY down. Our waitress seemed like she wanted to be anywhere else, and aside from taking our order and bringing the check, never stopped at our table. My husband's food had three- yes, THREE- different hairs in it. My salad was mostly wilted lettuce. We were hoping we could flag down the waitress to swap the dish out, but we gave up after a while and were just ready to leave. When family came into town a few days later, they asked if we would be visiting again, as it was one of their favorite stops the last time they visited. We chose this restaurant (based on Yelp reviews) after deciding against a local hotel's recommendation. (Both restaurants were located beside each other, oddly enough.) At any rate, we were pleased with our selection and would definitely return to try additional menu items. We tried two appetizers - Fried Clam Strips and Fish Fry Bites (Cod Fish). Both were perfectly fried and not overcooked. The tartar sauce served with each was delicious too. We also tried the Baked Shrimp, which was stuffed with House-Made Crab Cake Mix and topped with Lobster Sauce...served with two sides. The sides chosen were macaroni and cheese as well as garlic mashed potatoes. The baked shrimp dish was cooked perfectly too. The flavor was very rich and delicious. The macaroni and cheese was mediocre, and the garlic mashed potatoes seemed to have a bit too much of a raw garlic flavor for our taste. Would definitely try other side items next time. Overall, this is a great place for a splurge, as the prices are a bit on the high side to go frequently. Would recommend trying if in the area or for a great place with a great ambiance right on the water. The outdoor seating is quite relaxing. read more
