Her supervisor showed up after two hours After 3 hours, they had not cleaned the cabinets, baseboards, window stills, drawers, etc This is when my buyer showed for the planned "walk thru." The buyer wouldn't accept the dirty house, and I had to pay the buyer $550. This on top of the $425 I had to pay the Cleaning Authority because they already had my credit card. OMG the worst of the worst. And the office personnel "Kat" is horribly rude and yelled at me on the phone when I complained. They never vacuumed, dusted. They left food in the sink. Toothpaste was still in the bathroom sinks. The floor were covered with dirt and dog hair. I have pictures and videos of all the stuff that was left unclean. We complained and they came back "with bad attitudes" and still didn't get stuff clean. We gave them another change and it was even worse this last and I emphasize "last" time. Just changed to this company for my house cleaning needs and so far very pleased! The customer service (Larry and Laura) has been great and when I came home yesterday after my 1st cleaning the house was gleaming and inviting. I feel that it is money well spent. I like the cleaning rotation checklist and it is very thorough, it hits areas of the home that my last service didn't touch for a better price. They use earth friendly cleaning products and have a great website for payments and scheduling. I would highly recommend TCA, you should definitely give them a try. :) read more

This review is not of the cleaning staff -- they were generally very good. This review is about the practices of the business which are highly suspect and lead me not to trust them ever again. When service started, I noticed the cleaners had at least 2 alarms on their phones presumably to help them schedule time. After hearing this alarm during every clean and watching the cleaners immediately begin to hurry and leave, I started to listen to their conversations in Spanish. One employee said she was clocking out before the clean was finished because she didn't want to get in trouble. This seems to imply the employees are not being paid for all the time they work. That's illegal and the owner knows it. If you pay tips to the cleaners through their website, a significant portion of the money you give will be taken by the company for some BS processing charge. Nowhere is this explained to the customer. On one occasion my regular cleaning person had recently been in a car accident. She requested time off work but was refused. Normally, they work in teams, but on this occasion an injured employee was forced to clean my home alone. I tried to send her away, but she insisted that her manager wanted her to clean and she didn't want trouble. I also had to provide cleaning equipment for this visit. I felt utterly terrible for this person. If that isn't enough, after my last clean the company automatically deducted my funds. They claim I authorized them to do this, I have no memory of this and I paid all previous bills by myself on their website. This time, the company decided to withdraw my funds but they had errors when they attempted to do so. Instead of contacting me or stopping their process, they decided to process my card repeatedly until it went through. This caused multiple pending charges on my account and reduced available balance by the total sum of all the errant transactions. This is not trustworthy or professional behavior by a business. When I contacted the business, I was treated in a condescending manner. I was explicitly told that pending charges had no impact by Laura. She also told me she had never experienced this issue, so she clearly has no idea what she is talking about. I'm filing a complaint with local licensing authorities due to her behavior and the other concerns outlined here. Edit: I have just received a phone call from the owner of this business suggesting I am guilty of defamation against her. This is troubling to say the least. read more

I am highly disappointed with my initial service with The Cleaning Authority. At the onset, the manager that came out to explain their services and give us a quote...and was very professional. Let me tell you, Ryan is a great salesperson because he sold us the moon, stars, and then some! My house was not super dirty to begin with, and when the 2 young ladies left I could not even tell they had been there. Our supposed initial "deep clean" was anything but that. Cabinets not wiped down, wood floors not vacuumed or mopped. Shower doors smudged and not crystal clean...baseboards not cleaned, and dog hair not cleaned up. Someone must of had jewelry on their hand cause they scratched up my stainless steel appliances. I sent pics and an email to Ryan, to which he responded immediately. He said they would send someone back out to "touch up". That is ridiculous to me...it should be done right the first time. He told me his GPS said the two ladies were in the house 2 hr 24 min. They came at 8:30...and my husband saw them in the car sitting and texting by 10:15. I became pretty upset when I walked through the house and thoroughly inspected their work, that I sent additional pics and text messages to Ryan...crickets. I finally texted him and said don't bother sending anyone else out, we have no desire to continue with your company. Buyer beware! read more

A person called me from the offices about my cleaning in the morning. She said that she needed to move my cleaning to tomorrow afternoon bc "my team" was not in my area. Why, IDK because I have a standing appointment. I could not move it bc I have a doctors appt. She became flustered and just kept telling me my team could not be there. I told her I have a party on Saturday and was depending on them to come. She said *again* "my team" would not be there and she hung up on me. I don't care who comes and I did not know I had a team. I called back to their offices to talk to the owner and another person told me that the owner could not just "drop everything to speak to me about being hung up on." Fair warning - if you want rudeness, a fair cleaning job, and people who do not show up - these are your people. If they don't want business in our area, they should not take it. Update: The owner called and refused to apologize for her employee. When I told her that it was not good enough, she hung up on me too. I guess we know where the behavior comes from - leadership fails from the top down. read more

My family and I were very satisfied with this company at first. The deep cleans were done to our liking and the price was fair. The problem came when the routine cleanings started. Our first team skipped vacuuming half the floor, right in front of me. We called and requested the team not return. They returned and were asked to leave. The company apologized and sent another team. The second team did a less than acceptable job and another team was sent to fix it. Our third team, called their highest rated team, was great at first. We had several months of perfect service... until we didn't. Eventually one member of the team started cutting corners, just as the prior teams had. To add further insult to injury this same person began making jokes about my home, in Spanish, to her colleague, who responded with laughter. Perhaps they didn't realize I knew how to use Google translate... In my book, coming into someone's private, personal, space and acting in such an unprofessional and disrespectful way is totally unacceptable. If they wanted to make jokes they should have done it after leaving, not right in front of me... I emailed to cancel my service and got no response. I then called to cancel and was told that a manager would call me, which never happened. I would not recommend Cleaning Authority at this time. read more

Where to begin.... When arrangements to start cleaning to get my business didn't work out I should have not hired them at that point. I liked their concept to I stuck it out. The first clean I thought did okay, hubby not so much. When they cleaned they did not put things back as they found them which was inconvenient & frustrating. I thought though let's see with the next clean how it goes. Well not so great. Everything was done half-assed. So I called that day to have their inspector/supervisor call or come out to see the poor job that was done. No one ever called or showed up. After several calls to their call center someone called me back. I was told another team would come out and fix what was not cleaned. They showed up (team of 3) and did a great job. I still decided at that point I no longer wanted them to clean for me. I went on their app and canceled my next appointment & the future ones as well. We'll low & behold they showed up the day that they were scheduled to clean. I explained to them that I canceled. The team seemed to be good with the cancellation but gave the excuse of breakdown in communication. Well the next day I get a charge of $175 on my credit card. I've called to get this reversed back, left messages with call center and still at this point no call back! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TCA-Aurora due to crappy job, lack of communication, horrible customer service for not calling back or following up and the erroneous charge for work they never did (don't they verify their teams complete the job?) I don't like to write bad reviews but I would hate for you to hire them and have the same experience. I'm sure other TCA in the other cities in the Denver/Metro area do a good job but THE CLEANING AUTHORITY of AURORA does NOT qualify! Buyer beware! read more

For 8 months I had at least a dozen different cleaners. They don't talk or go over any part of your house or listen to concerns. They say it is all in their tablet. There was two ladies who were great but when I requested them still got strangers in my house. Sometimes 3 came in and ran thru my house in less than an hour. I had damage to Cherry wood coffee table when book was put back on wet polish which stuck to table. Same with hardwood floor area rug put back on wet floor then stuck to floor causing residue dulling finish. Communication extremely poor with cleaners. Corporate contact try to help but really don't follow thru. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS "COMPANY." Absolutely horrible. Had three people show up for a deep clean and we're still unsure what they did. Was told it was two of the threes' first day and they were being trained, but never saw they actually being trained. The bathroom was covered in hair, the toilet wasn't clean, counters were dirty, floors were dirty, services we paid extra for weren't done. The "walk through at the end of every clean" never happened. This business is an absolute joke. Customer service is atrocious. Like other reviewers, "Kat" yelled at my wife on the phone and went on about "needing to pay her employees" and refused to give a refund. read more

Hired this company and after the 1st detailed clean, I was happily surprised at the results. The second detailed clean is where the nightmare started. I come in to find dust in the bathtub (we never use it), the baseboards are dirty, the floor has not been vacuumed. They didn't even have their own mop, they used my Swiffer mop to do the kitchen floor. I had a shelf that if took a plant off and they never dusted the shelves. I emailed Laura asking her to come over the next day so I could address my concerns, since I am paying extra money for the first two cleaning jobs. She wrote back telling me she would be there at 11 am the next morning. At 11, there is a man at my door stating that he is the owner (okay she is married) I show him the things wrong and his response is, well if they can't reach the shelf from the ground they don't dust it. I am 5'6 and I can reach it, one of the girls was taller than me. Then I showed him the living room floor, he said "they don't move anything", I said not even this 5 pound Asian Wedding Box, he replied no. I showed him the bar in my kitchen, I said they don't move anything to wipe down the counters, you want me to move everything out so they can clean. When I asked about the ceiling fans, that was it, they have an extension to do the ceiling fans but could not use the same extension on the shelf???? I told him that if I wanted people to just wipe around something or vacuum around a 5 pound decoration, I would just have my kids do it. They were fired. I am not paying for someone to clean worse than my kids clean. Never heard from Laura other than to say she would refund half of my cleaning bill that day. Very poor customer relations, and make sure you inspect their work. I have pictures to prove everything I am saying. Oh and don't have them do the windows, they streak something fierce. read more

I have been a customer with this company for about a year. When I first signed with them, the cleaning quality was high and thorough. Then, they changed owners. My last services have been very poor. Once, I emailed to let them know that my cleaning was incomplete and they said they were short staffed and they offered cleaning, for no charge, to which I agreed. However, I shouldn't have to have additional cleanings to have my home cleaned. This last time took the cake. My bathroom was dirty, nothing was moved on the counters, my living room wasn't straightened, amongst a host of things they used to do as a part of regular service. When I emailed to cancel, there was NO consideration of service AND they addressed me with the incorrect name. I pay great money for regular cleaning every two weeks. It's really sad that things started so well and ended with no attempt to keep my business or rectify another poor service. read more

Do not waste your money! We paid $200 for the initial cleaning which came with a list of all the areas that were to be cleaned during this initial visit. I was so much looking forward to coming home to nice clean house after a long day of work, but as soon as I stepped through the door I could tell right away that the work was incomplete. After further inspection they did not complete 90%+ of the things that they said they would clean. One example of many, they said they would hand wipe all kitchen cabinets, we had a black thumb print on one of our cabinets that was still there after the Cleaning Authority came and as it turned out none of the cabinets were cleaned. This was a complete waste money. I did not ask for a refund, but should have. read more

What can I say, lousy service from day one! We kept them because it was nice to not have to clean, but their quality is sorely lacking. We tried to take care of issues directly with the girls cleaning, rather than getting them in trouble with management. We had to threaten firing them to get them to quit pointing our shower head at the shower door. Getting sprayed with cold water when turning the shower on warm up is not good for a person who has had multiple back surgeries. Constantly had to remind them to vacuum our stairs. Ceiling fan blades regularly missed when dusting. In the kitchen, never got the top of our cabinets clean, and never did knickknack area, which was on a regular rotation. Then the final straw, I came home to my front door unlocked, and the key left in the lock. Not to mention, probably the worst job they had ever performed in their year with us! Hardwood floors locked as if they were mopped with water, rather the special cleaner we supplied for the floor. Eight years in our home, never got mildew in our shower when we were cleaning yet mildew was present after their final cleaning. Left message with them about key left in door, and that we no longer needed their services, and no return call, offering apologies! My recommendation is to find a different cleaner, as we are now doing! read more

We scheduled a move out cleaning in early July- we moved out the next day, turned in our keys and the new tenants came in. They reported that the toilets were scummy, mold had grown in the showers, and the floors were so dirty it was leaving black marks on their socks. Not only that but the cleaners cracked the side of our glass top stove. It basically looked like nothing got done and was in bad shape from when we even did a walk through. We called the service 2x, talked to two people who said they would put us in touch with mgmt. We didn't hear from anyone until we called a third time and were told we were actually speaking to their answering service but not people from the actual company...super sketchy. Finally we spoke to a manager, sent them pictures, forwarded the new tenant email. The manager said that he'd talk to the cleaning ladies and then would like to know our compensation expectations which we relayed. Then a few days later, he responded to our email saying that we need to report damage within 24 hours or they can't do anything. Since it was a move out cleaning, we said that was totally unrealistic AND that hasn't been made known to us at any point through the process. Ultimately, we only received a refund for half the cleaning fee. This service was a waste of money and in a property that we lived in for so long with no damage, it was pretty disappointing to have our security deposit withheld due to the mess a service we paid for. I highly recommend using someone else. read more
