When I got home, I noticed my shirt's collar was torn. The next day, when I went back and told him, he didn't apologize and said, "Your shirt was old." Even if it was old and got ripped during the wash, he should have told me when I picked it up. Not only did he not mention anything, but he also charged me for dry cleaning that shirt. I dropped off 10 items and a pair of shoes and was verbally quoted the same pricing as prior visits (about $4.99 per item). I clearly declined any additional services. The receipt provided at drop-off did not list prices. At pickup, I was charged $113, which I never agreed to. When I questioned the charge, the owner became argumentative and insisted I pay. The situation escalated, and during the exchange, the owner forcefully pulled the hangers from my hand, which made me feel unsafe. At the same time, another customer entered the shop regarding a shirt she had recently picked up that had a visible pink tint left on it. Despite the discoloration being apparent, the owner argued with her and denied that there was an issue. She left without any resolution or assistance. Due to the escalation of my interaction, an officer was called to the scene. The officer advised the owner to release my items to me so I could leave. The entire situation was extremely uncomfortable and unnecessary. The cleaning itself was also not done thoroughly. Between the unexpected charges, lack of pricing transparency, poor service quality, and unprofessional conduct toward multiple customers, this was a very upsetting experience. Extremely disappointed with this tailor. My daughter went in to get her prom dress hemmed and called me from the shop while she was there. I asked about the price and clearly heard the man say it would be $60 -- no mention whatsoever of a double skirt or an upcharge. When we went to pick it up, the price had suddenly jumped to $115. The explanation? Each skirt layer supposedly costs $60 -- something that was never disclosed up front. Worse than the surprise pricing is the condition of the dress: it came back with visible stains, uneven stitching, and puckering all along the hem. It now needs to be re-hemmed even shorter (if that's even possible), and cleaned -- all days before prom. I left the dress there hoping they could make it right, but the owner hasn't responded at all. At this point, we're left scrambling to buy a new dress last minute, and I'm out money for a ruined garment. No transparency, no accountability, and zero professionalism. Dishonest business warning. I never leave negative reviews specially for small businesses. My parents own and operate a dry cleaner and I myself have worked at their store for a couple of years while in school. This business charged me for dry cleaning my button down shirts, which also carries an additional "environmental fee", when they clearly only laundered and pressed. When I went to wear one of them I discovered they had only cut the shirt and had not gone back and hemmed. This place is a rip-off. They did a bait-and-switch without permission. I had already used them once before and discovered that they were overpriced for stitchings. I didn't want to drive across town to my old dry cleaner by my old house. I took some jeans in to be stitched expecting the same price. What I got when I picked them up was $114 bill. That's double what I expected. Just shocked, I paid and went home only to discover that the tag on the clothes said $54. I immediately thought the guy who charged me either made a mistake or was trying to scam me. I went back the next day to confront him about it and he told me that they did patches instead of stitches which cost more. Ok, but I was not asked if I was ok with the charge increase. Especially since that is overpriced even for patches. He wouldn't give me the difference owed back and started to crumple up the tag that said $54. I wasn't going to let him dispose of evidence, so I demanded I get the tag back and stormed out. To make matters worse, the spots that were patched were not great, so I can't even use these for work. Shame on me for not telling them to keep the pants and walking out without paying. I could have bought several new pairs of pants for what they charged me. Stay away. This place is not a place I would recommend. My wife took an article of clothing to get cleaned and when she went back to pick it up they just attempted to charge her and give it to her knowing the stains were not removed. She checked it before paying or leaving and told them the stains were still there and they stated they couldn't get the stains out. They then said they would retry to clean it which they did unsuccessfully. Upon picking up the item they required it be paid for even though they did not do what was being paid for. Given the number of other cleaners in the immediate area, I would suggest just going elsewhere. That is my plan. I love supporting local businesses.... but this is one business I highly suggest everyone to stay away from. I have used them two times and both times have been headaches. The first time I used them they lost my suit pants for over two months... I bought it for a wedding. The owner was a complete jerk, and made it seem like it was my fault this happened because I should have put them together a specific way.... The second time, was about a week ago because I was in the area and decided to give them another shot. I had given them my perfect condition burberry polo I had received during Christmas this year. I got it back with as if someone took a shredder and shredded the bottom of the polo. I showed the lady who was working there. She kept telling me this is how it came, and it was my fault. The polo was brand new pretty much worn only three or four times. She told me to leave it there, and they would fix it. I came back a week later, and she told me there was nothing they can do, and said it was my fault. I hate writing bad reviews... but please be cautious when visiting this cleaner. Horrible place to take your clothes for dry cleaning. I took them my wife dress that she wore at a wedding. This was a very delecate and expensive dress that we paid $2750 so they can dry clean, we picked it up two weeks later and took it home. Two days later my wife took the dress from dry cleaner plastic and noticed the dress was never cleaned. It has the dirt staines still in the bottom and still had her perfume smell. I took the dress back and told them this dress was never cleaned. They got very offended and accused me of waring the dress after we picked it up and got in huge argument with me instead of appolagizing. I guess this is in their Korean culture to acuse customers instead of making them happy. No wonder this dry cleaner has the worse rating. I will file a formal complaint against their license and do whatever it takes to make everyone aware of their HORRIBLE SERVICE. I thought I would try this place out even though the reviews suck. My best advice is to stay away. Here are the reasons why: I went in to get my pants hemmed to 30 inches inseam length. Issue #1 it took about a week for my pants to be completed. Issue #2 which entirely supersedes issue #1 is that the length was not exactly 30 inches. It was 30 inches and a quarter. His words to me were: "sometimes the manufacturer has different lengths". Instead of offering to hem the pants to correct the length for free, he says he will go half with me on hemming them again to correct their mistake. He also suggested I go back to the retailer to trade the pants for the correct size. Problem is, I've already invested money on getting them hemmed for $12.50 which makes these pants significantly expensive. My first time getting pants hemmed with him and it will be my last. On another note, I will be taking my dry cleaning elsewhere. read more

I wish I could give this negative 5 million stars. The Clothes Doctor is the ABSOLUTE WORST dry cleaner on EARTH. Its not just that they are bad at their business, but their customer service is bottom of the barrel. Now, if you want your clothes lost and the owner to yell at you then find your clothes then ask you to pay full price this place is for YOU! I came in on a Saturday morning to pick up clothes that were completed a week prior. One lady was working with what appeared to be her two daughters and she did not speak English so she had to get her daughters to help (who were both fiddling with their phones). I had to spell my name multiple times and finally they locate my name and start the search for my clothes. After about 15 minutes they say they cannot locate the clothes and will call the owner. They promise they will call me back. Now I had already paid since they demanded that I pay the minute they located my name and I thought they would easily find my clothes. When they cannot locate the clothes I demand my money back...she then gives me my money back not back on my card how I originally paid but by giving me cash. I could not communicate with her as she only spoke Spanish. Keep in mind I had nearly $3k worth of clothes in this pile, four Vince blouses, Rebecca Taylor dress, Veronica Beard blazer, and Ann Taylor suits, etc. So I was very upset! I hear nothing from the owner so I return an hour later. When I get to the location it appears that the owners are there (I had tried calling but the phone didn't work and finally I get the cell phone number of the owners...the whole thing was an absolute cluster). A Korean woman and man approach me at the counter and say they are trying to find the clothes. I ask if they do everything on site and they say yes so I then ask how do 11 pieces of clothing just disappear? The woman gets angry with me and says insurance will cover it...so they are gone? She doesn't answer me and just says they will find them. The male owner asks me if I photograph all of my clothes and can I give him the photos. I tell him no, I do not photograph my clothes. I then tell them I want them delivered to my house but they need to let me know when. About two hours later the male owner calls me (I can barely understand him through his thick accent) and tells me they found my clothes. I tell him I am not home and that I wont be for a few hours as I am taking my Mom, daughter, and mother in-law to the Nutcracker. He shows up even though I told him I am not home to my house and gets mad that no one is there. He then shows up again two hours later, by that time my husband is home. He starts yelling at my husband that he must pay NOW my husband says why should we pay when you lost the clothes? He gets mad and yells at my husband that it was only for a few hours, he then throws the clothes in his car slamming the door on the clothes as they are caught in the door. He speeds off. The following Monday I go in to pick up the clothes. The male owner is there and I calmly ask him if it was him that came to my house to deliver the clothes and he says yes, I then ask why did he scream at my husband? He says he didn't and that my husband yelled at him (my husband doesn't yell and doesn't get into altercations with people). He then tells me I have to pay for the clothes. I tell him no he should just give them to me for the inconvenience he then says he will give me a $10 discount (the total was $150). I want my clothes so I pay the $140. Its not so much the missing clothes (I mean I was really mad about that) but more the attitude and condescending behavior of the owners. NEVER GO HERE! However I did not check after getting them back. after a while I took my clothes out of plastic stain were there. when I took them back they were telling me that I used the clothes which I never and I am trying to get a service for free. the guy told me Oh this dress smells like perfume you wear, which I never did. I never review anything on Yelp, but after reading all of the negative comments I feel like this guy deserves a break. So far my experience has been very positive. I have been a regular at the clothes doctor for about a year now and he has delivered every time. Clothes are clean, well pressed, well presented when you get them back and so far nothing has been torn stained or lost. I signed up for the delivery service and they have done everything they have promised. Also, if you absolutely need something in a rush they take care of you, although I try not to make a habit out of that. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that they are a little on the pricey side, but convenience makes up for that. read more

Recently we need 4 shirts done overnight on a weekend. They are closed on Sunday so Sung made sure to bring us our shirts before we went out of town on his day off! I highly recommend this place! It seems this part of orange county (that is the "beach cities") generally does not have good dry cleaners at all; and believe me I've tried them all! Consistently in this area what I find is very expensive, poor service and very poor attitudes! These guys could really learn a thing or two from LA! However, I must say The Clothes Doctor seems to have a very good consistent service. And yes they are very expensive, and they don't deny it! I brought a 5x8 (40 square feet) area rug in for cleaning and was quoted $1.50 to $2 a square foot.
