I had such high hopes for this place but was terribly disappointed. My first impression when calling in an order was that their customer service was very cold. They were not rude but it definitely felt as if they did not want to be talking to you. Same with the delivery driver, very to the point an unfriendly. We ordered a regular size pizza, which is small, and it cost us a little over $20. The edges of the crust were solid and the center of the dough, under the topings, was soggy and under cooked. The pizza tasted terrible and my wife and I couldn't even finish it and just threw it away. Frozen pizza from the supermarket would be a better option than this place. If you come when it is super slow then you'll have a good experience. If you come when they are slightly busy, it takes an hour to get a dinner salad and longer to get a pizza. The staff was not the most welcoming but the service was decent, if that makes sense. We entered through the banquet area not knowing. First time in. The three employees working to set up tables didn't even notice us. I had to pretty much pounce on someone. Then she told me to go around the corner. Didn't say why. I don't know, I found it kind of rude. Once we got over there we weren't greeted. We had to ask for a table. It's kind of a bar atmosphere I guess. Once our server came she was better. The Cloverleaf is one of our favorite places for pizza and cold beer! We love the Taco Pizza and their thin crust! Wash it down with a pitcher of Jumbo Juice IPA from Airways Brewing and it doesn't get much better than that! The tots with ranch are also a great appetizer. Overall a great place. The owner of this place was very rude to my party last night. We waited a very long time for our food (mind you, 2 other tables came in way after us and both got their food first). Our pizzas were over cooked. The waitress was very forgetful and had to keep returning and asking what we ordered or forgetting to bring things. At the end I politely asked to speak to a manager. At this point a woman comes to the table and rather aggressively asks what is wrong. I explain that the food took a long time and was over cooked. She said they are understaffed. I said I understand that. However, that does not explain to other tables coming in after us and getting their food before us... She then said I'm gonna go check the machine so she did... She tells me what time our order is put in and it was about 15 or 20 minutes after we had originally placed the order with the waitress... I think she forgot to put it in. I say this to this woman and she snaps at me and then she says "you're not a nice person... I have lots of nice customers and you're not one of them".I then said to her that I've been a loyal customer there for several years and that I will not be back her response to that was well don't let the door hit you when you leave! I didn't ask her her name and she said that her name was Debbie breeze... And I'm the owner of this establishment! Great pizza! We live right across the street and decided to try it. Delivery was fast and the price might be a little more expensive than wed like but it was good. We had a half veggie, half beef pizza with extra cheese. My only complaint was that there was an unusual sour aftertaste to the pizza that may have been from the sauce, I'm not sure if it was standard or that particular batch had a bit too much vinegar. The food is good but a "regular" sized pizza is a personal pan. That's pretty misleading. Is a huge pizza just actually just a regular size? Also $21 for a personal pan pizza even if it's a good one is just too much. It's the equivalent of 2 normal size pieces of pizza for $21! Disappointing. Rude service. Cheap divey bar feel. Cloverleaf is a town/neighborhood staple. I have fond memories coming to Cloverleaf, having a beer and a slice with my co-workers. Cloverleaf used to be known for their pizza, but if we are all honest, there are many places that compete well to the leaf and most likely do better. What made Cloverleaf great was the clientele and the loyal patronages. So, I'm quite disappointed at the treatment we received by one of their male staff members who answered the phone when we called. We get it, you're busy, you have tasks to do, customers in front of you to serve, and prank calls are a real thing. However, if we learned anything from the pandemic and the big push to support local spots and small businesses, you learned how to deal with to-go orders and do it in a way customers feel their loyalty is valued. This wasn't the case tonight. The guy was rude. He picked up the phone, answered our questions with ONE word. Then told us to call back on an unblocked number, and literally hung up the phone before we could even say "great, thank you". We didn't realize our number wasn't showing up. So, we did what we were told and called back. No answer. Called again. No answer again. He wasn't going to pick up again. This is unacceptable behavior from a staff member, who's job is to run their tasks/business WHILE serving customers. Who wants to support a business that doesn't have an organized process for serving customers in person AND over the phone? Especially when the survival of local businesses are threatened as the years go by. We don't HAVE to come and support your business. We CHOOSE to, but if we are treated poorly by rude and lazy paid staff members who can't be polite for 10 seconds (literally the call lasted 10 seconds, we went back and looked how long it took for this dude to hang up on us), this means we can move along and get great food and great service elsewhere. After calling back 3 times with no answer, we called Sammy's Pizza we were treated with kindness and female staff member on the phone was very accommodating, we received our order quickly and our meal at Sammy's was truly amazing. Very disappointed with my pizza. Heard a lot about how good cloverleaf pizza was but in my case I can't say the same. I ordered the House Pizza over the phone on Super Bowl Sunday and picked it up before the game. I requested very light on sauce and extra cheese. When I got home and opened the box there was very little cheese and I mean very little and there was a lot of sauce. In my opinion the Cloverleafs pizza is best when ordered as a small or a mini. When you order a larger size the crust get soggy ruining the whole experience. The sauce is nothing to speak of, so the magic is really in the crust. I'm a purist, and stick with a simple cheese and tomatoes mini - it's delicious! Going for a bigger pie with more toppings has always been disastrous. My recommendation is to eat your pizza in house as well, delivery hasn't been so great.
