I was looking for a new salon in this area so after checking the Yelp reviews I checked out Coco Nails. I'm used to having two technicians work on my nails - manicure and pedicure at the same time. This is the most efficient use of my time and how you get folks in and out and on to the next customer. I walk in no other customers, two gentlemen simultaneously walk in right behind me. I let them know I need a fill in and a pedicure. They start filling the tub, I go to choose my polish, use the bathroom...I'm transferred from the pedicure station to a manicure station...because additional customers walked in and they wanted to service everyone so I will now have my nails done then my pedicure...that should have been my cue to leave. Polish selection was slim, my technician did the best she could and even did my pedicure right after. I spent 2 1/2 hours to get my nails done...it's one thing if I have nothing to do...but I'm on a tight schedule. When I asked about having two technicians I was told that's only when it's not busy...I'm sorry...but I'm the busy salons they use two technicians per person so that they can get you in and out and service the next customer. Sadly, I will not be visiting again! I'll be checking out another salon...I'm very loyal and I need a salon that caters to my needs. Only reason I'm getting a new salon is because I'm moving. I was charged $65 for a fill in with three nail repairs. I've been getting my nails done for 10 years and never in lite paid this much for a fill. Their fill-in is advertised as $27 dollars. I was told that since I had 3 nail repairs and gel polish that it added a whopping $38 additional dollars to my service. I've never been charged that much in my life. I feel very ripped off. Nonetheless my nails are nice. Young lady doing my toes had no idea of what she was doing, but whatever my toes are decent. The price for a toe polish is $12. I can live with that. Because the nail salon I normally go to was closed on a Sunday, I found myself at this place. The lady greeted me immediately and I was informed of the wait time, which I didn't mind. The tech that did my pedicure was very delicate and thorough, which I preferred. The place was clean. They use new foot scrubbers and filers for each customer as well as sterilized tools. It was the worst mistake i ever made. I had an appointment at 6:30 PM for gel pedicure and SNS on my hands. I didn't finish till 10:00 PM, More than THREE HOURS i was there. The owner was so unpleasant from her manners and the service i received just horrible. After they started on my gel pedicure around 7:30 around 8:00pm they told me since they took someone else who they thought had an appointment. (Who came after me and got the service). Yikes, the smell of acetone smacks you in the face the second you walk in. It made my throat hurt the entire time. All the nail polish colors look like they need to be thrown away. The colors have separated so badly I couldn't shake it enough to see the original color. My husband gets his hair cut every couple months at Piedmont Barbers and this time I noticed a brand new nail salon next door advertising $25 mani/pedis. I popped in and they sat me right away. I had two extremely nice ladies working on me, and they gave me an extremely thorough manicure and pedicure. They both gave nice massages too. My mani and pedi both look great! I came here based on the reviews on yelp. I was so disappointed. First they overcharge you based on the shape of your nails. The lady was like '5 dolla more long nails.' My acrylics were not even long! I never break nails and two broke the following day. I think the acrylic power they use is very cheap!! This happened to my friend also. I expected more out of coco nails. I won't be returning. Skip this place and spend the extra money elsewhere for quality experience. read more

I went here around Valentine's Day because I read good reviews. At first, everything seemed really nice. The place was clean and the manicurists greeted me right away. After one coat of polish on my toes, I asked the lady if it was going to get darker or if I should choose a darker color to get the shade I wanted, to which she rudely replied "well I asked if you liked the color!" I was just trying to save her some work, but hey. Then, I was getting a gel manicure and the guy filed my nails in a way that made my fingertips sore for 2 days and gave me several hang nails. My mom and I came here for mani-pedis, and they did a really good job! We both got hot stone pedicures, which were amazing! Unfortunately, I have quite dry skin, so my feet are already drying out :(. I got a gel manicure, and my mom got a fill-in. We both had our arms scrubbed and paraffin wax used on our hands, and it was amazing! I also got my eyebrows waxed, and they look much better. Its a week later and I'm still so upset about how Jason did my nails and how the owner totally ignored my concern about how my nails turned out. I even showed a few coworkers my nails and I was embarrassed when I told them these were coffin shaped and they were like no those aren't. These nails are thick and not filed nor laid correctly my natural nail bed curve and Jason laid the artificial nails straight some stick up like an amateur nail tech. I would have like to try the other nail tech Blu but because of the treatment from the owner I will not be returning to this business. $50 for a full set with gel polish and no designs and when asked for stones all I was told was the owner has all the stones he doesn't even have the stones to show you I left feeling so wack and boring. Went in after a while and was disappointed to see that they had changed ownership. I loved the old place, but the new management leaves something to be desired. Fox was blaring on the TV, and I couldn't relax. My gel nails took over an hour to do, and while they are beautiful, it was a very slow process. Price is right, but I won't be back. read more

I booked with Carol aka Bad Habit... My appointment was originally at 5 but I called ahead to let her know I was running late and to make sure I didn't throw off her schedule. She said it was fine and confirmed my service for a fill in and polish change on my feet. I told her I will be getting the fill in and would come back for the polish change on my feet b/c I didn't have time. Carol said it takes her an hour and fifteen minutes to do a fill in and gel polish. My gps said I would arrive at 5:44p and I told her... Carol said it was fine, but wanted to make sure I wasn't rushing. Well, I wasn't rushing. Even with my late arrival and her hour and fifteen minute service for a fill in, I still had enough time. My destination was 7 minutes away from her shop and I had to be there at 7:30p. She set an expectation of an hour and fifteen minutes when I told her I was running late and if that was all the time she needed that was fine. But I left her shop at 7:24 pm and she only finished drilling my nails. She didn't meet her own expectation and tried to argue a point that I didn't tell her I was rushing... Well wasn't until her fill in that she said would take an hour and fifteen minutes ran way over... Instead of engaging in a petty argument I remained in my zen and I told her I would come back the next day for her to paint my nails. It really wasn't a big deal. I paid and tipped her. she booked an appointment at 1pm the next day. When I arrived she wasn't there and her daughter said she left 10 minutes prior to my arrival for lunch. I asked her daughter to call her b/c I wanted to know why Carol ( the owner) wasn't there. Her daughter said Carol told her to tell me she put me down on the calendar but didn't write it down on a piece of paper and it slipped her mind. First of all, what?! She didn't apologize, she didn't speak to me, nothing... Just told her daughter to give me a lame excuse. Meanwhile, I'm supporting her business. I didn't have to pay up front for incomplete service and tip her... But I did... Clearly Carol could've cared less. I would've expect this from a disgruntled employee but she is the owner y'all! But get this, as I was walking out the door, I saw her peek from the back and run back when she saw me. Comical!!! THIS IS THE OWNER! She also talks about her repeat customers in front of other customers. I have bared witness to her behavior as she was doing my nails. There was an older white woman in her shop and Carol gossiped about the woman from her prior visit as she sat in a pedicure chair closer to the back of the shop. The woman was a bit eccentric but she was a patron and a customer that supports Carol's business. Instead of showing professionalism as a business owner and appreciation for paying customers... Carol laughed and gossiped about this woman who was a repeat customer. The woman sat next to me and got a pink chrome polish. She had no clue Carol was gossiping about her minutes before she was called over to get her nails done. I don't know about the rest of you but I spend my money where I am appreciated. Carol forgot about a simple principle.... You never know who steps foot in your doors and who is in your company... Some of which can change the success of your business positively or negatively. It's always wise to treat people they way you would want to be treated. I see estheticians and nail techs that are booked the entire month every month. They don't forget a client over night... They certainly show appreciation for their customers. I guess that's why Carol has plenty of time slots on her books. Go figure...
