I LOVE Coffee Bean but this Coffee Bean location is my fave! Location is convenient, close to the freeway and in the corner of a plaza. Parking wasn't an issue. I love the layout of this specific location - merch is located all over, table seating is along the windows and cafe is clean and tidy!!! There was no issue with ordering and our order came out quickly. Barista, Jadyn, and manager, Donna, were GREAT! Love their attitudes, their service and their overall vibes! I enjoyed getting the dry iced caramel americano but recently they have not been making it the same anymore. And I've always got the caramel flavor because a worker there initially told me we can choose from a variety of flavors besides the original which was vanilla. That first experience was great. But now, I'm not sure if all the workers are all new all of a sudden but when I went to order they told me that the drink doesn't exist only the vanilla one and when they made it it was just watered down coffee it was this thick silky coffee I usually get. I started going to 17th street now just so my order can be right. Considering most of the workers put on dull faces all the time the least they could do is make the drink right. Super quick, easy parking, friendly staff. Coffee Bean is the best coffee spot. I try to make my own coffee, but when I do get coffee out, I almost exclusively go to Coffee Bean. Love the ice blended mocha's, the best! Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is always nice, staff is great and there is room to do work or hang out with friends if you don't take it to go. They're nice and refreshing although sometimes the Ice Blended Drinks may have a few ice chunks in the. Other than that, the service is great! Some know me by name, and I always feel welcomed. The environment around the shop is average. The location is right next to a few food places, a grocery store within the shopping center, and a shopping mall across the street. The only recommendation I have with Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf as a whole is to have more flavor options (more powders for lattes & coffees and iced tea flavors). I have been a long time loyal customer. not only do I visit the stores at least twice a week but I order mighty leaf tea in bulk to include in gift bags every year. Today, Sept 9th at approximately 2:25pm I visited the store located on main street in santa ana across from the main place mall. I ordered a large blended drink, jalapeno bagel and left a tip as normal. Since it is 102° outside today I stayed in the store to eat the bagel. I asked for a cup of ice water. I was told it would cost me .25 cents. I didn't have any cash on me and had used my card to pay. so instead I was offered a little tiny paper cup to get a sip of water. This is outrageous. I will never again make another purchase of any kind from the coffee bean tea leaf company. Avoid at all costs. read more

I love Coffee Bean but this location is an absolute scam. My $8+ matcha came with little to minimal scoop of matcha + almost no espresso. The color is near white just filled with honey and almond milk. I'm a GOLD tier coffee bean client and my matcha is usually more GREEN at my go-to locations. This is the absolute worst location I ever been to. I paid $8+ for milk and got 1/5th of the matcha I usually get. WORST PRODUCT I ever got. They saved 50c of matcha but lose a crazy ton of clients and $$$$ they could make. FALSE advertisement, does not look like the matcha as advertised. Just all white. Espresso is black, matcha is green, but cup is nearly colorless. I should've just went back to the location by my house. read more

Donna is completely unfit for any leadership role--she lacks the professionalism, respect, and basic decency required to lead. No one should have to witness the blatant racism and classism I saw firsthand. It was disgusting and unacceptable. Seeing someone else be treated so poorly was enough for me to realize it could easily happen to me or anyone else. I refuse to support any place that allows this kind of behavior to go unchecked. Instead they are group of people just talking and didn't care less about others or around them. The shift supervisor and two other employees working at that time didn't want to serve or help me and let alone not wanting to take my order. So when I asked the people in front of me, 'please excuse me,' the female gave me the dirty look and start staying things in other language and tend to laugh at me and acted like I was harassing them. This location has got to have the worst baristas. I have nothing against CB&TL, the company. I've had pleasant experiences at most of them except this place. Ordered a croissant warm and they let it sit without calling our name. Only after I walked up to check on our order did the barista say "oh yeah" so it was cold and had to be reheated. Then our drinks came out. Horrible. No flavor. As if they were rationing ingredients. Then gaslighted us trying to say that's how the drinks are. Seriously?
