This is one of my favourite Bakery chains. They have a such a good variety of sweets and treats. My favourites include the garlic cheese bun, coffee cruffin, and croissant crunch. They also have an amazing selection of coffees, teas, bobas, etc. If you haven't had 85C bakery yet, you're missing out! This specific location never seems to be too busy as opposed to other locations I've been too. While their rewards program used to be pretty good with lots of deals and freebies, I feel it's taken a step back lately. Still worth checking out for a deal. read more

A nice and convenient 85℃ shop. The cashier guy there at my visit was vibing with me when I ordered the Vietnamese coffee. I never have tried it at any other 85℃, but wanted to and so glad I got to enjoy it! It's definitely a premade mix coffee, but it's still good. I've had variations of the same coffee at Lee's Sandwiches and it doesn't compare, much better and bold flavor here. I also grabbed their Hot Dog Bun for $2.60 and coffee was $4.95 for a medium. Good shop, but a very small selection of the bakery items here. Parking was pretty easy. read more

The drinks are great and on the more affordable side, which makes it easy to try a few different things. Service is quick and efficient, even when it gets busy. Honestly, I just needed something for the family after a quick workout at 24, and I suddenly remembered this spot - it had been a while! My mission: grab my go-to raisin and nut bread, plus anything with coconut. I had some questions about the bread, and Minh was amazing - so sweet and helpful! This place is always clean and stocked when I go in which is normally on weekends. We don't come too often but this is a stop for us while in OC. Service for coffees ordered at the counter is a normal few mins wait. If you want to grab and go I suggest mobile ordering it before. Will definitely return again. read more

We got several pastries to try. Garlic bread was definitely my fave.. ham and cheese wasn't too great to be honest. The new strawberry danish was good.. we tried the strawberry con leche drink. My dear friend from elementary school lives in the City of Orange. Whenever I visit her, I like to bring some pastries to share with her and her family. Luckily, there is this 85 C Bakery near her house. Perfect! It resides in the Saddleback Plaza on Chapman Ave. It sits at the corner so it can easily be seen by people driving by. From the outside, it appears to be a smaller size bakery cafe, but it's actually quite spacious inside. Upon entry, the left side is where all the yummy pastries are for you to choose. The right side has the tables and chairs for eating and chilling. They do have a kiosk for self-ordering. During my visit, it was quite busy as it was near Lunar New Year. They have the specialty pastries in celebration of the holiday. I grabbed some brioche buns and half a dozen of variety pastries. They were all very tasty and delicious. Honestly, I am not a big fan of their cakes because they lack some sweetness, but their pastries are fantastic hands down. I didn't entertain any of their drinks, but I'll have to check them out one day. The gentleman staff behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. Our whole family enjoys the Vietnamese coffee! The desserts are not overly sweet, they're moist and delicious, everything from the mango desserts to the coffees, teas and cakes. As you may know, the name "85°C" refers to the bakery chain's belief that 85°C (185°F) is the optimal temperature to brew coffee. Service is always above par. The place always smells "bakery fresh". The food here is business as usual. If you are a regular customer at 85, there is nothing out of the ordinary here. What is unusual though is the lack of service. I was served by a supervisor Minh and am appalled that someone so terrible at customer service is a supervisor. No friendly communication, no eye contact, and just a lack of mutual respect. I know that not every place is going to give Chik fil A service but still Minh made sure I knew I was not welcome. I got an iced medium drink and when I repeated what I want, he made sure to vent annoyance and frustration in his tone even though he didn't hear me. If you see Minh as the person ringing you up, I recommend just walking out and never coming back. read more

I stopped by here to do some studying. Every study cafe I've been at where I'm there close to closing has given some sort of notification to guests. For example, at the Capital One Cafe, they'll announce notify 15 minutes before closing. Other places I've been at go up to each individual guest 10-15 minutes before closing to notify. The manager at this location however, just turned off the lights at 8pm instead of talking to me like a normal person. Pretty rude. I don't think it's too much to come up (I was the only one there) and let me know that they're about to close, I usually leave places once I get the notice. Strawberry matcha had real strawberry chunks. Chose the 25% sweet option and it was perfect. This place is pretty cold and there's a lot of trash on the floors that they didn't sweep up until about an hour before closing. Good thing I just needed a quick place to stop. This was the first and last time I'll be visiting this location. read more

I ordered from DoorDash so I can't speak on the in-store service or ambiance, but I hope to do so on a future review. From what I remember about the locations I've been to, the stores are fun - breads are freshly baked every hour, and staff is friendly and hard at work! I ordered the following: Vietnamese Coffee ($4.85) - I was craving this, but while good, it's a lot richer compared to other places that also serve Vietnamese coffee. However, what an incredible value. I'm impressed at the price for a large size, and that they don't mark up the price on DoorDash. So this is a great value all things considered. And it is STRONG coffee, which is the whole point! 85C Savory 5-Piece Box Set ($10) - Delicious! Also impressed there isn't a markup here on DoorDash. This box is a great value, if you were to buy these separately it would come closer to $15. And the variety is fun. The box came with Garlic Cheese, Cheese Dog, Bacon & Cheese, Jalapeño Cream Cheese, Ham & Cheese (but without the cheese? This might have been a different pastry but I can't find more information on it). My favorites are hands down the Cheese Dog and the Garlic Cheese, and the Ham (& Cheese) is a close third. YUM! I usually opt for sweet milk breads so trying the savory options was really fun. There's so much to choose from and everything is great, so you can't go wrong! read more

They have the best cakes here. It's easy to get in and out and the people there are friendly.

This is a location close to home. Today is my second time visiting in the last 2 months and both times when we walk in, we were met to the overwhelming smell of sewage and feaces. It is difficult to try to buy bakery while one senses is completely immersed in this inescapable smell. It does not help when the place just do not look clean as well. This will be our last time coming to this establishment until they clean up the place. I do not know how you could stay open when your sewage system is not fixed. read more

I'm leaving here empty handed after waiting in line for a ridiculously long time. They seemed to be training a new person- why would you do that on a Sunday? There were like 3 girls working there just standing around doing nothing, and only one girl taking orders. I left because it would have taken forever to get my drinks. Very disappointed in this. Update- came back one time as I was in the area and craving a coffee, kids craving a baked good. We got a chocolate croissant which was tasty, and I got my usual iced salted caramel coffee, which was also tasty. But again it took way too long to get my drink. Ube Bread (4/5) - The filling-to-bread ratio wasn't enough, but the flavor of the ube was good. Hokkaido Custard Bun (5/5) - Favorite purchase and baked good in the store. A good amount of filling and isn't too sweet for my taste. One note I would say about this specific store was that there was a promotional sign for their gift boxes but when asked if they had it, the worker explained that they only provided them during holidays. I tried more things I've never had before like the ube bread, Hokkaido custard bun, mango pineapple bars, Hokkaido cheese tarts and cheese dog. Everything I got was under $20 and they were so filling. I enjoyed it very much. Thankfully, this location wasn't busy and had more selection. There was ample parking however there is an In-N-Out in this plaza so I'm sure that changes when it's their peak times. First time trying out this location. It's just ok. Very small for an 85 bakery. They have no indoor or outdoor seating and only a couple counters for the pastries. Not only was the number of items limited, but none of my favorites were stocked. I can't be the only liking their chocobuns. For this visit I promised my daughter a chocobun so I ended up having to purchase another chocolate-like bun with powdered sugar. Realizing too late that there was no outdoor seating, we had to eat in the car and she made a huge mess. Since this location is so close to the one in Tustin, I will not be returning here again unless I am strictly getting the food to go. read more
