We were guests at the Disneyland Hotel last week and The Coffee House was our daily stop before the park located just outside the Fantasy Tower and next to Goofy's Kitchen. It is a small place with outdoor seating, and I was very pleased with my daily mocha and pastries. These folks get very busy first thing in the morning, but the gal at the door made sure the place did not get overcrowded, and the staff are working their tails off. I would absolutely return the next time I stay at the hotel. My only recommendation is, take advantage of mobile ordering once you become aware of their offerings. Our wait for coffee and excellent pastries was no longer than any other coffee house i have been to. I recommend the Coffee House for a great start to your day at the park. Came to the resort on a Friday to cowork at Sketch Pad with friends and were disappointed to learn it was closed! So odd. It's not usually closed on Fridays so I guess this was just a one off. Either way, it gave us the opportunity try out the Coffee House instead. And lo and behold, what did they have but a Mickey (questionable) gingerbread! No, not the same as the one at Jolly Holiday but close enough to get my fix when my pass was blocked (I should know, I've had at least 6 this season so I have extensively taste tested). So yummy and chewy and spicy and sweet. Ugh. I also got their ginger chai latte and loved that this had a bit of a kick to it. We ended up taking our goodies over to the Disneyland hotel lobby since there's no place in the coffee house to sit. It's really more of a grab and go situation. Sign says the popcorn bucket comes with a "holiday cookie". See pictures that clearly states this expectation. See second picture that clearly shows a cookie tagged as a "holiday cookie". Upon checkout, the cashier gave me tiny little chocolate chip cookie. I questioned it, eleven pointed out to THEIR sign, they went to look at the sign as if they have no clue what the bucket includes. They still denied me. They even stated they were out of the chocolate cookies and it would be a rice krispy treat instead. False advertising is one thing that is disappointing but the cashiers not listening, understanding and serving what is clearly offered is far more than disappointing. As if the cookies come out of their pay checks! It's a frickin cookie they were gate keeping so hard. So i walked out for those two reasons. This place is always super packed, especially in the mornings, of course. It's not too big on the inside. There is literally enough space to place an order and pick up. My recommendation is to place your order on the app, and it will be ready when you're ready. A quick grab and go, and you're in and out. I typically order: 1. The Baseline: For a coffee shop the baseline involves the quality of the roast, the taste of the coffee, and the preparation of specialty drinks/food items. Food: The coffee here has a great taste, is well prepared, and is roasted well. The menu is good for coffee, but the food offerings are better than most coffee places due to access to Disney chefs. The grab and go sandwiches are bigger than most coffee houses and the lunchtime salad menu is amazing. The size is big enough if you order a large. Service: This is a Disneyland experience so the staff are always above the baseline. This was no exception and the staff were friendly and helpful. Ambiance: Since it is a stand, there isn't dedicated seating immediately available inside. But once you get outside there is a lot of seating for the Disneyland hotel. We ate here twice. Once I got the yogurt parfait with chia seeds and fruit topping. The yogurt and chia seeds were fine, but the berries were clearly out of season and tasted very disgusting to be quite frankly. I haven't had berries that bad in a long time. Don't grab the yogurt cup (I grabbed it bc it was the healthiest option, but it's not worth it) The other day I had the guava and cheese danish. It is very large, and the lamination on the patty was impressive. It would have been better if it was heated up. But it was still very solid. My family ordered pasties as well and the pastries were very solid, nothing super stood out. However, they have the largest cinnamon roll I've ever seen in my life. None of us ordered it because it was so large, but that might be the way to go! The line does get long in the mornings, this is one I would recommend using your mobile order app. I never ordered a drink but everyone said their specialty coffee drinks were too sweet (a common theme with Disney specialty coffees throughout the parks as well). This was my go to for coffee 20 years ago and then Starbucks came to Disneyland. I'm not a Joffrey Coffee fan. Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe, the three little pigs, had Starbucks in Disney California. The Coffee House has really upped the menu choices and a double espresso is my choice for a pick me up. It's Jeffrey's but it's also a double espresso. It tastes like a strong coffee, so yeah! When I'm staying at the Disneyland hotels, this is the closest coffee house. They close at 4 pm, previously 2 pm. I had a slice of the lemon raspberry cake and it was huge and made with buttercream frosting. Yum! It was a bit dry but the double espresso helped. It was actually better than the chocolate which was dry too. I didn't get a chance to order more. They have alcoholic canned beverages, salads, a variety of sandwiches and more. I had the chia granola parfait and I liked it. It's the same one that Disney has throughout the park. I'll be back to try more. Order online in the morning. It can be super long. Not 10 people long but over 15+ in the morning. There are a few tables and chairs outside. It's more of a to go place. read more

They had the cinnamon sugar snickerdoodle cookies they no longer carry in the park! If you're in the Disneyland hotel, this may be the only coffee shop that is open at 6 AM. You can get some small breakfast items, bagels, pastries, fruits and Coffee. Try to get here between 530 and 545, because the line gross really quick at six. The entrance is right next to the restaurant entrance, on the left-hand side. There's no eating inside but plenty of chairs outside. Their payment option doesn't seem to have a tip option, so hopefully you'll have cash to tip. read more

I always get that late afternoon craving for a cup of coffee. After a long day at the runDisney Expo, I was needing my coffee fix. The Expo takes place at the Disneyland Hotel. The Coffee House is also at the Hotel and is located near the pool area and Goofy's Kitchen. The price is fairly reasonable ($9.75) for a alcoholic beverage on hotel property. I have always gone back and forth between the churro and dole whip float as to which treat is my favorite on the Disney properties, but this dessert drink beats them both! The dole soft serve has a perfect consistency and the rum was a fantastic compliment to the pineapple juice. The only catch is you can't leave the hotel property with alcohol, but the float was gone in almost no time at all so this restriction wasn't an issue. The only real negative (other than the donut price) was this location was unable to provide a passholder discount. I understand Disney not being able to provide a discount if you purchase something from one of the carts in the park, but every brick and mortar location should be equipped to deal with passholders. I was looking for a bit of coffee pick-me-up right after the CHOC Walk on Sunday and stopped by here to seemingly avoid the MUCH BIGGER lines at the Starbucks in Downtown Disney. The first thing that really stood out was their prices - for the drinks - it wasn't bad at all, surprisingly. I was expecting a markup, considering it was you know - Disney - the prices for all drinks were on par with what you'd find at Starbucks. The prices for the pastries on the other hand - were significantly higher than typical coffeeshop/Starbucks prices - almost twice as much - a cinnamon roll would put you back a little $5. I went with the Blended Mocha - which was made just right - a good blend of coffee and mocha. One thing that definitely was noticeable was the wait time. It was on a Sunday morning around 9:30am, right after the CHOC Walk. There were only two cast members inside - and the line was literally "out the door" just barely. The work area could definitely fit one or two more CMs, which would've made the wait more bearable. I timed the moment I stepped in to the moment I paid at the register to be a little over 15 minutes. I don't know if this is typical Sunday morning traffic, but Disney could look into providing more ample staffing especially after a large event such as the CHOC Walk. It seems there are seasonal items depending on when you go. Today after the CHOC Walk, especially with the park going into Halloween mode - there were special Halloween themed treats and the souvenir cup also was Halloween themed. The next time I decide to visit Downtown Disney, I'll make sure to pop by the Disneyland Hotel when I'm craving something cold and sweet. The Coffee House is located near the pool and next to Goofy's Kitchen. There's some outdoor seating, but I really like taking my soft-serve and walking across the courtyard area to the fireplace in front of Trader Sam's. I never felt so alive. That being said, the Dole Whip is the same price as in the park. But this place includes a third option: rum. I've actually never tried it, since it's a quick $10, but hm, maybe next time. I like to get the pineapple soft-serve, but if I'm thirsty, the float (+ pineapple juice) is a great choice too. The float tasted better than I imagined because pineapple juice is usually thin - but the soft serve made it a bit creamier. So I would only come for the Dole Whip, but while my friend Virginia and I were here, we noticed some pretty decorative donuts and had to try one. We got the donut with Matcha glaze, chocolate drizzle, and pineapple jam. The donut and glaze tasted ordinary (which is yummy because it's a donut), but the pineapple jam wasn't really good. Right off the lobby, next to Goofy's kitchen is the Coffee house. Open at 6, the have several coffee options, croissants, doughnuts and selection of yogurts, sandwiches, etc. Basically, whatever you could want for a quick grab and go. There is no inside seating but right outside there are several tables to sit and enjoy the quiet. I popped down every morning for my vanilla latte (it was perfectly made) to get some work done and watch the world wake up. Later in the day, make sure to swing by before they close and get the most amazing dole whip outside of the parks. You can get a regular one or a boozie one. I've been here usually once each trip to DLand. This time my husband and I tried the Dole Whip with a splash of Rum. What's really nice about this is you don't have to stand in a stupid long line in the sun to get a Dole Whip and here, you get rum. We chose the coconut rum, the name of which escapes me, and we could taste the coconut. But not any alcohol. Still it was a very good refreshing drink with the fun ice cream on top. An extravagant treat since the price is jumped up a couple of dollars for the rum. The day that we were leaving I made it to the shop at 5:58 AM. They open at 6AM. The delivery guy was waiting outside, looking in the windows and tapping on the door. No one was answering and that was a little disconcerting. It got worse when 5 more minutes passed and still no one was there to answer the door. FINALLY two workers arrive like everything was just fine, laughing and smiling....I could have gone a few more steps to Starbucks, paid less and been on the freeway by the time they got there. Since it was after 6, I went in the shop through the unlocked door. I was told they weren't open yet. I said: I thought you opened at 6. We do, but we're not ready. We have to put these delivered items in our back room. So you don't open until 6:30? No, we're just not ready. You'll have to wait outside. many question marks going through my brain I had no choice. All movement stoped while I was in there. So outside I go wishing I had gone to Starbucks. They did, finally open and entrance was allowed. No apologies were offered and I'm sure the delivery guy was catching flack from the other folks who were waiting for him to show up on time. I hope the manager of this place notices the comings and goings of the cast members who work here. While service is very good, some things are a miss. Best coffee at Disneyland Resort! They brew Joffrey's which is Disney's official coffee (aside from Starbucks locations on property) which I hands down prefer over Starbucks. It's nice and strong, but not bitter. I can't put my finger on why the coffee is so much better at the Coffee House, maybe it's the manager and/or the staff, or the fact that it's at the Disneyland Hotel, but this place is always excellent. My review is for the dole whip with a splash of rum! It's great that you don't have to go into the park for to satisfy your dole whip cravings. It's a tiny coffee shop but they are pretty quick. We ordered both types. One is with parrot (coconut rum) and the other one I forgot but it was a dark rum. I liked the parrot better because the coconut went well with the pineapple. The dark rum has a stronger taste of alcohol. It is on the pricier side for a dessert at $8.75 but it's a great treat! read more

Yeah for quick, cheap and yummy snacks! Conveniently located a few steps outside of our hotel room ( we were in the frontier tower) wish I would have seen this place earlier we would have stopped here a few more times . Our check out morning we stopped by after checking out and grabbed a quick breakfast of muffins and fruit parfaits . Absolutely delicious and zero wait . We were able to enjoy our quick breakfast at a comfortable outdoor seating area just outside of the cafe . I will definitely try their coffee next time we come to Disneyland! read more
