Spent a summer day with my bestie hangin' out in the Tiki before prime dinner service time and what a great choice! Hear me out though for those that are anti-outdoor dining, the Conch House has THE perfect setting for this.. Yes it was 95 and we were both sweating but man when that breeze was breezing it was nice! Our dining experience was wonderful, we ordered conch fritters, dozen oysters, some hush puppies and two entrees. Mahi was the fresh catch of the Day and cooked just right. I got a salad with my Mahi Mahi fish and my friend tried their pasta dish which was also tasty and rich in all the right flavors. The oysters we ordered came out steamed and in a bucket and I had an instant giggle because the whole situation reminded me of watching the TV show Spongebob. You shuck the oysters yourself here which I found different from other Seafood restaurants but it was all right I had a good time and our cocktails helped with the challenge. The oysters were plump and about the size of my hand. The next time, I think a half a dozen would be just fine for two people. The views and architecture of the restaurant was definitely worth the drive to St. Augustine. Service was friendly and attentive. There is plenty of parking here also which kind of hints they get a lot of patrons on the weekends but if you want to check this place out I do recommend a random weekday. read more

We decided to celebrate John's Birthday at the Conch House after Mojo's restaurant cancelled our reservation due to an increased party size. The Conch House happily greeted us with a 5:30pm reservation. Louciana was our server for the party of 23 ppl. All Friends and Family of my Husband. My only complaint is that they wanted this to be 1 check. Kevin, the manager quickly addressed this for me and we were all good. Louciana did her best to keep all the orders straight. Some items come out incorrectly prepared and other items had been missed. We did have a large group. The men enjoyed the Rum Runner($12) Drinks along with a few Goombay's ($12). Some of the ladies enjoyed their Watermelon Lime Chil's $13 each. We had a host of soft drinks and sweet teas to start. We had something for everyone off the menu. The kids enjoyed a selection of Chicken Tenders, Shrimp, Hot Dogs & Grilled Cheese served with French Fries or Fruit. The adults ran a smorgasbord of savory foodie delights. I had the 10oz Ribeye cooked Med Well with Mashed Potatoes and Cauliflower. Hubby had Mahi Dinner with the Lobster Mac and Cheese with Cauliflower. Also orders of Gator Tail- yep- real alligator. It is tasty with a tangy dipping sauce on the side. Several orders of Shrimp Anastasia- like a shrimp Alfredo with mushrooms and tomato's. Very creamy. Many orders of Mahi Dinner. Grilled Chicken Club, Caribbean Chicken Pasta, Ceasar Chicken Salad, shrimp & grits dinner, hush puppies, Cheese Grits, and Peel and eat Shrimp. All of which was well prepared once delivered. We ate, drank and was truly grateful for the opportunity to be together again under one roof. I gave a humbling speech before Hubby blew out the candles. We ate cake and went on our way. I have been to the Conch House on several occasions. On my last visit I met a friend who was vacationing in Daytona. We were celebrating her birthday. The wait inside was long so we sat outside. It was a chilly and windy day but at least the sun was shining. Our server was great! She was sweet and checked on us frequently. We started with the seafood chowder which was delicious and helped us stay warm. Instead of ordering a dinner plate we ordered several appetizers including calamari, green beans, hush puppies and plantains. We both loved the calamari which was crispy and fresh. It was served with a side of seasoned banana peppers which I had never seen before, but was a nice addition to each bite! The other items were good but the plantations were fabulous! My friend had never tried them and she was impressed. Our sweet server had a piece of key lime pie comped for my friends birthday. We split the pie which was tasty. If it hadn't been so chilly we would have sat in one of the elevated cabanas as they offer a nice view. If you walk out on the pier there's another bar which is very quaint. In the summer they've had live music on a floating pier. I'm not sure with covid if they still do this but I hope so! read more

We went out fishing earlier in the day and our guide said to come here because they will cook the fish for you. You could pick it cooked 2 ways so we choose blackened and fried. It also came with two sides. It was a huge amount of food for $16! That's pretty much the positive. The blackened was way too blackened and the fried was a very strange breading. We had brought red drum and spotted trout which are a white fish. The lobster Mac and cheese we got as a side was enough for one person to have as a full meal. That was pretty good. The location and property/vibe is really cool. However it was an hour wait. If we wouldn't of had our own fish it probably wouldn't of been my first choice of restaurants. read more

We had a bad experience at Conch House. Wehad company today and we decided to take them to the Conch House. We were in the parking lot walking into the Conch House an and heard an Employee was screaming at a customer who claimed to be a Veteran with a service animal. We didnt know what that was all about. The Employee was following this Veteran to her car yelling at her. The Veteran told the Employee that she was leaving and to stop harassing her. We should have left then. We went on to have a great meal. The service was wonderful. It was great up until birds started bombarding our table. It startled us then we laughed. That same person started yelling at us accusing us of feeding the birds. No the birds swarmed the table as we were leaving. I'm terrified of birds. We got into a confrontation with this woman. We did notify management and complained but wow she destroyed our nice time with fake accusations. That woman does not not need to be in customer service treating paying customers like this. Friends in town decided to have dinner at the Conch House. Had about a 40 minute wait for seating. Plenty of open tables just a bit short of staff. I had shrimp and grits very good taste. Another had Shrimp Anastasia- shrimp served on spaghetti also nice taste. Wife had the scallops in a butter rum sauce - good although the scallops were a bit tough. The service was horrible. We watched a couple get turned away for having a service animal. They were outside and this restaurant was basically outside. Large patio that would sit at least 75 people. I asked the couple and both the man and his service animal were both injured and I will not tell this mans story but we, my wife and I went and told the staff about what the man and dog went thru, the staff replied, ok but no pets. Great little restaurant on Anastasia Island! My pictures are horrible, but this is a very nice little place. The true uniqueness was their outdoor dining, and that they had several single tables which had their own little mini dock Peninsulas jutting out from the main deck. Some of them we're actually a 10 to 12 step walk up, almost like a pirate's Crow's Nest on a ship with full service. We sampled hey minorcan sandwich, pulled pork tacos, in a kid's grilled hot dogs. My personal favorite option was the fact that you could upgrade their french fries type side dish to a no kidding lobster mac and cheese!! I forget the upcharge, but it was well worth it both in large portion as shown in the picture and taste. The bar off made Shirley Temple's for the kids which is nice. Our lunches were 10 to $20 each and had plenty of leftovers. I'm so glad I saw the large billboard on the main Anastasia Island Road and will definitely be coming back! read more

The restaurant is located in the front, they have indoor and outdoor seating. Their bar/lounge is located a bit further down in a separate building, food is never served nor taken there. Our family of four is on vacation this week and we wanted to have a seafood dinner, so we chose the Conch House. It was charmingly located along the water and we were sat outside at a tiki table (but you can choose to sit inside). The food was delicious and our server, Amber, was the absolute best!! Last night we had our dinner at this establishment. We opted for outdoor seating because it was incredibly loud inside. The outdoor seating was nice and our server was very polite and accommodating! However, the food was only mediocre. Just a heads up to others. The outdoor atmosphere is very pleasant, but just go walk around the marina and have a drink at the bar. This is probably the coolest place. They have lil tree huts you can sit in and some that sit out on the water. The drinks are all tropical and good. They have a full menu of items as well. My friend and I got drinks then had some fried green tomatoes as an appetizer--they were delicious. The conch house also has more to it than just the awesome seating. You can sit inside the restaurant or outside. They have a like baby alligator exhibit outside which was super cool and the alligators were just swimming and eating. You can walk down their pier and to their bar which has a cool lookout seating upstairs but it's also on the water. Then finally you can just look out over the pier after your meal and drinks. We were visiting family in Northern Florida and took a day trip to St. Augustine. We did a quick internet search and found the Conch House and decided to pay them a visit for dinner. We sat outside in one of their tree house looking gazebos overlooking the water. It was a beautiful evening with fantastic food and service from our server Amber. The shrimp and grits was excellent and the corn bread is some of the best I've ever had. Also highly recommend the calamari, conch fritters, and key lime pie for dessert. Pretty good little restaurant in St Augustine. I was taken here while out with my boyfriends family and while it wasn't my first choice (solely because I am not big on seafood) it was pretty good. The food was good (overall consensus) and the service was good. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. My only problem is the lack of variety regarding the food choices. Typically I've found other seafood restaurants will have more chicken and beef options but they only had a handful of options.
