I've had my eye on this place for a while, and it was fantastic. Service was top notch. Our server not only checked in with us periodically, but he was intentional about when he checked in. He seemed to swing by at the perfect times to refill drinks, remove plates, and provide suggestions. He was the most attentive server I've ever had. Food: The Ukrainian Vareniki potato dumplings were incredible. I'm not much of a mushroom gal, but I really liked them. We also had the Alloco fried plantains; which were also really good. For entrees, we had the Lok Lak and the Shrimp Pancit. The Lok Lak beef was very flavorful and was cooked perfectly. By the time my boyfriend and I got the Pancit, we were stuffed. We tried a couple of bites of it and it was also flavorful. Kind of sweet, savory, very saucy. The rest of it is our lunch tomorrow! I had the Morrocan Sunset drink and it was fantastic. Not to sweet, and the liquor was very smooth. I'm definitely excited to be back when another interesting country is on the menu. It wasn't cheap - for 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 drinks, it came out to about $160 including the tip. I'd definitely recommend this spot for a nicer date night or a celebratory meal. read more

This restaurant has an interesting concept of picking a country's food to represent for a limited time menu. We had come to celebrate a friend and we were sure to make a reservation. The only issue was the hostess was a bit rude while we were waiting for our table. The inside of the restaurant was really cozy and resembled the inside of a lounge. Our server was super kind and our entire table loved her attitude. The food was pretty good. I had the jollof rice with cubed sirloin, it was seasoned very well and had a decent amount of food. Their rotating menu (aka the Visa Menu) features global cuisine from Japan with lots of vegan and vegetarian options. They also had their recurring menu from past customer favorites. A Perfect Proposal... Where can I start? There is so much that's right with this restaurant, from the ambiance, to the amazing rotating global menu, to the next level service and care. I made reservations here to propose to my (now) fiance last weekend and explained what I was looking for with Mia. I cannot say enough about how amazing she and the entire staff were on such a special night for us. When you walk into the restaurant, everything is so well curated around the establishment. There seems to be an interesting story behind every piece on the wall. I really appreciate when care is placed on the interior design of a restaurant and it represents so much. We ordered the Korean BBQ Duck Confit, the Octopus alla Griglia, and the Whiskey-Braised Lamb Shank. All three dishes were great, but my personal favorite was the Korean BBQ Duck Confit. And for drinks, we had the Banshee Scream and the Moroccan Sunset. Both were very good as well, but the favorite was the Moroccan Sunset. And because it was a particularly special night for us, they were kind enough to gift us a candle lit brownie dessert and a champagne toast. Now the service really made the night special for us. From Mia choosing the best table in the house for us, to the card that was signed by the entire staff, and the great service from Jordan (kinfolk). They even chose the exact right song to play when I proposed (and that young lady's name escapes me because I was so nervous, but a BIG thank you to you as well - you know who you are and you've confirmed our first dance song!). The entire staff and everyone in the restaurant went wild when she said Yes! So what was already a great night, was made that much more special by everyone at The Consulate. Food was just OK. We were a bit disappointed with service. We gave our credit card to the server before getting the check and when he brought the CC receipts for signature he didn't bring the detailed check which was strange. We asked for it and the check included an 18% service fee. We were about to pay a tip before knowing that one was already being charged so we felt deceived. This is not what we expect from a reputable place. This is not good service. Needless to say we're not going back. We received a feisty and untrue reply back from the manager to our review we left in Open Table so here's our reply to that as well: We were not in a hurry; we just wanted to go ahead and pay. The service fee was explained to my husband after asking for the detailed check and questioning the fee. If we didn't ask for the check (which we did to make sure the drink we had at the bar was included) we would've never found out about the service fee and paid it twice. In fact, if you look at the signed voucher you would see that we had to strike out the tip that we had originally left. The comped drink was because I asked if a cocktail (second death) was sweet and the barman said it wasn't so I ordered it (I told him I don't like sweet cocktails). It was extremely sweet and when I told him so he asked if I wanted to exchange it for another which I did. This by the way is standard when you don't like a drink the barman recommends; at least in reputable places. We were regulars but will definitely won't be back. We were visiting Atlanta for the weekend. The Consulate showed up as one of the top bars in Midtown. It definitely lived up to the hype. I'll start of with the ambiance which has a British feel to it. We sad in the lounge area that looked like a cozy library. The cocktails were on point!! We looked at their food menu but didn't eat anything as we already had dinner plans. The menu is globally inspired with dishes from all around the world. There was some really interesting dishes on the menu that I will definitely come back to try. 5 stars for Consulate!!! read more

Such a great experience! The Consulate exceeded my expectations as far as the food. We ordered the jollof rice, taro ice cream (not pictured but very good) and a molten chocolate cake. All were delicious. There were a few hiccups with our service, hence the 4 stars, but the issues were resolved. I love that there is a different menu every 3 months focusing on different parts of the world and their cuisine. The reviews and menu seems like they would have great food. Walked in with no reservation at 6:00 on a Tuesday evening, ask for a seat at the bar. I was told by the host they're expecting a large party and she couldn't seat me at the bar. Okay, fine. I get a table. Waiter was great in explaining the menu and suggesting their elixir (version of old fashioned) it's was ok, but lacks flavor. I order the ruffle beef bulgogi and plantains with pistachios and peanuts and a spiced tomato sauce. Beef Bulgogi- arrive and looked amazing, unfortunately after my first bite I could tell it was overcooked, I try a few more bites just to see if it was that piece or the rest. All of it was overcooked (see picture) I me timed this to my waiter, and while I appreciate him talking to the manager (who offered 20% off that dish) the squid ink pasta has really good flavor though. The fried plantains were really good, and the tomato aside definitely added a nice flavor profile to the plantain. They do add 18% service fee added to every tab. Amazing first visit to The Consulate. My group of four was well taken care of by Wesley. He was extremely thorough and knowledgeable about everything. I love when a waiter has actually experienced multiple items on the menu, and is able to provide recommendations based on experience. He was patient, and helped us make decisions throughout our dining experience. We ordered the Pork Egg Rolls and Samale (cabbage rolls) to share. They were both delicious! Everyone enjoyed their cocktails, and even ordered multiple rounds. I selected the Chilean sea bass, and it was deliciously prepared. The creamy mashed potatoes were very good and tasted homemade (from scratch). Overall, wonderful experience and I'm looking forward to visiting again. Omgggg sexiest restaurant in Atlanta YESSSS. I went on double date while in town and they were very accommodating with our reservation. The side waiting lounge was just ah-maze-ing in terms of the most interesting cozy lounge with every nook and cranny covered with an interesting piece of art including a red telephone. It's totally James Bond feel all the way including bathroom with guns on the wall. Oh and in the lounge corner there's a secret wall to a private dining room. It was hard to find if you are UBER/LYFT but if driving garage parking is there. HARD TO GET IN but we made a reservation on OPEN TABLE. Our waiter a very nice man was so accommodating. The portion and pricing is off but this place is still worth it. We had octopus and scallops BOTH are entrees but more like a mini appetizer. This is a beautiful location tucked right behind one of the Midtown MARTA entrances. You would never know until you go inside. Beautiful decor. I know you wanna know about the food. The best thing on that menu was the Alloco, fried plantains with spiced tomato sauce on the side. Sweet and soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside with the savory sauce, DELICIOUS! The menu was in Mexico during this time. We had the Jalisco Esquites, a chilled corn salad that was supposed to be slightly similar to elote. It was nice and refreshing but I wouldn't need to order it again. My mom had the Rebanadas de Cielo, which were birria tacos with consume. She loved them and the tender meat in the tacos. I've had better birria but it was her first time having it and she loved it. I had the Black Truffle Bulgogi. I love Bulgogi and the meat was melt in your mouth tender but the sauce was too sweet. This is coming from someone who likes sweet. The first two desserts we had were extremely underwhelming. We got the Sueño de Chocolate Mexicano, a spiced chocolate cake and the Honey Bubble Tea Taro Brownie. The brownie was super dry and the spiced chocolate cake was different but not in a good way. We told our waiter, Chris and he brought us his favorite dessert which was the Turkish Coffee Cheesecake. That was AMAZING! Chris made great suggestions and didn't charge us for the dessert change, which was greatly appreciated. He was extremely attentive and patient. He was happy to take pictures of us for my birthday dinner and gave amazing wine suggestions. Our second time here to celebrate my hubbies birthday. We had a great time. Service, excellent, food out of this world and drinks are on point. I have to say this place is becoming one of our faves. New menu circulated every 90 days from around the world. That is so creative. We had a party of 8. We had to wait a few minutes for one of our guest and they were more than accommodating and even wanted to seat us even though the whole party was not present. Now that my friends is customer service. We had Cindy again who knows the menu like the back of her hand. We also love Jordan so please ask for either. I opted to try something different. The duck confit. I went in with an open mind and was astonished at the flavors that meld together to make this appetizer one that I would get over and over again. I also tried their ribs. They were perfectly seasoned and fall off the bone tender. The Jollof rice is spicy flavorful and complimented my ribs to perfection. My husband is stuck on the chopped cheese ( a NY thing) and my son had the Lobster Empanadas that he really enjoyed. Cousin had fish and she enjoyed it. Our other guests had ditto to our meals and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though I love a good Cuban sandwich I think the egg rolls are just ok. There is something missing in the flavor of the pork and it does seem a bit dry IMO. The restaurant is chic and quaint. FINALLY can cross this off my bucket list of Atlanta restaurants. Reservations are best! Parking is validated in the shared garage parking off W Peachtree and 10th. Why four stars? This is not a restaurant you come unprepared for. The menu is eccentric but that is what makes it unique. The main menu changes every three months featuring food from a different part of the world. When I went Ukraine was featured. They also maintain "The Resident" menu which are staple menu items that were featured at one point in time and fared well during its spotlight. I ordered from the Resident menu. I was caught between trying the Ukraine's stuffed pepper with ribeye cubes and rice but waitress, Mariah, who was such a doll, recommended I go with the other option I had my eye on, the Shrimp Pancit. I ordered the Shrimp Pancit and the Havana egg rolls. Havana egg rolls were worth the hype. Shrimp Pancit 4/5 heavy on the veggies (peppers and carrots), thin/vermicelli like noodles. It was good but wasn't mind blowing or anything I'd go through the hassle of coming here again to order. Cocktails: HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Moroccan Sunset. Very pretty drink with a wine infused ice cube. Perfect amount of juice to alcohol ratio. I followed it up with an Amaretto Sour which was a bit watery. I'm accustomed to an Amaretto Sour that is sweet and sour. Decor is very eclectic. Not quite what I was expecting for this upscale restaurant. The mood was very much date night from what I perceived. My wife wanted to visit this restaurant as part of her birthday celebration. We arrived and parked in the parking garage. We arrived and were promptly greeted. The decor is incredible! All of the sodas are bottled...the way good soda should be. We started with the King's Ransom - charcuterie. It consisted of prosciutto, salami, and duck breast. The cheeses were a goat cheese soaked in red wine, a thyme cheese, and a blue cheese. There was dried apricots, fresh grapes, candied walnuts, and those tiny pickles. OFF THE CHAIN! We also ordered the Cuban sandwich egg rolls-meh- the rolls were a bit too big and the pork was a bit dry. There was also no Swiss cheese. The mustard on the side was great. The son ordered the octopus and it was very well prepared. The waitstaff was impressed with an 11year old getting the octopus. The wife ordered the Birria tacos and loved how nicely the meat was seasoned. She also ordered the street corn and was disappointed that it was a cold dish as one tends to think warm with that dish. I had the Birria Ramen. It was a very good dish with shredded short ribs, veggies, Birria consume', and topped with a fried egg. Great choice on the fried egg! For desert, the son ordered the brownie that was more cake like than brownie. It was also dry. I ordered the coffee cheesecake that was okay but nothing I would order again. What a great concept, featured menu items highlight a new country every 90 days! We went on Venezuelan theme period. Ambience, decor and service were outstanding, unfortunately the food was lacking and didn't live up to the reviews. Extremely dark causing everyone to use the flashlights on their phones to make the menus readable. (Really dark, check out my photos, and that was with the flash on!) We arrived at 7:00 and the place was packed; always a great sign. Our waiter was very attentive and well informed on all the menu items. We selected a wine from their limited and pricey list of "unheard of labels". I love Albarino with seafood, but instead decided to try the "Treana Blanc Viognier - Marsanne Roussanne" blend; bad mistake!!! It was flabby and tasteless, not sure what the wine maker was going for, but if he hit, he needs to find a new profession. Next came the Empanadas and Pulled Grilled Chicken Arepas for starters. Empanadas were ground beef, onion, etc., and were excellent. What a great start; we thought this was going to set the tone for the evening. Unfortunately, it went downhill from here. The Arepas were big messy pile of COLD shredded chicken between two lifeless pieces of "bread" that was nothing like the authentic pounded moist corn shaped into a cake and fried on a griddle. No spices what so ever. Next, I order the Octopus alla Griglia with the sweet mango chili sauce. Having just come back from the Mediterranean and eaten Octopus all over Portugal, Spain, Italy and Greece, I was excited and anxious to give The Consulate's version a try. Not a good move! A single small tentacle over cooked, dried out and nested on top of a sweet sauces that was required to moisten the Octopus enough to eat. Along with the Octopus I ordered the Dry Sautéed Okra with Thai Chili Sauce. The Okra were "OK" but a couple of them were "bad", or badly cooked; it was hard and uneatable. Once again, another sweet sauce, but was advertised as "sweet." At the end of the meal, I'd have to say it wasn't what I was expecting, and the quality of the dishes fell short of the reviews and hopes for The Consulate. read more

I made a reservation via open table for a group of 5 with my girlfriends. There is adequate parking available in the nearby parking deck. The restaurant itself has lot of character. They have a BUNCH of wall art and decorative items everywhere. Even it the restrooms. On the night that we went, the featured country is Côte d'Ivoire of West Africa. We ordered from that menu as well as their "resident" menu. - Consulate Jolly Rice with Shrimp - very herbaceous with the perfect amount of spice - compared to all the other dishes, it wasn't as pretty, but it did not lack flavor - Bar Noir au Four: Black Sea bass - very good. I really liked the - Cucumber Mango Salad: I think one of my favorite salads EVER. The combination made a perfect bite of salad. I've been trying to recreate this at home. - The Kings Ransom: basically a sad looking charcuterie board - not worth the price - Dry Sautéed Okra: perfectly cooked - Octopus alla Griglia - Korean BBQ Duck Confit - I remember the duck being good but I can't remember details - Nuuk Chops - perfectly cooked lollipop lamb chops - they were nice enough to cook one of them well done for our pregnant friend - plantains - I can't find it on the online menu so I don't remember what the name of the dish is but it was really really good Desserts: to be honest, I didn't like any of them. The service was spectacular w many vegan options. However, the portions are relatively small and the seating is cramped. Our family of five dined here on a Friday evening for a birthday dinner. We were fortunate to get a corner table by the bar. Be sure to take in the warm, cozy, classy décor, which includes an exquisite collection of art pieces. You feel like you have diplomatic immunity, and the discussion agenda should be topics on a global scale. The lounge area off to the side makes you want to have a neat peaty smoky Islay Scotch. Very tastefully done interior. Our server was friendly yet very professional and provided us a great overview of the menu options. Cocktails we had were on point. The entrée we ordered were: The Brooklyn Irishman Chop Cheese, Berbere Lamb tibs, Black Truffle Bulgogi and Chiles en Nogada. The Chop Cheese surprised us all. Every entrée was good. This place is just WOW. It's really a hidden gem almost makes you feel a part of a secret society by being inside with all the decor and how tucked away this location is. Located below the Federal reserve building. They validate parking but I still had to pay when I inserted my ticket do not sure what happened there. I had the steak and potatoes due to my being allergic to peanuts and a lot of what I wanted to try had nuts in it since the country being highlighted was Philippines. I asked for my steak to be medium but what I received was extremely well done and the butter that's supposed to come with it was nowhere to be found. One of the waiters for our party overheard me examining my meal and brought in the head waiter and he asked to see my steak to verify I was sure my steak wasn't what I asked for. After about 15 min I received a new steak that was perfectly medium and with the butter compote on top. That steak was everything and more it basically melted in my mouth it was so good I wished it were a bigger cut bc it was gone before I knew it lol. I did order a glass of moscato but I was informed it was flat so it tasted more of a sour Riesling but my concern was why even offer if you know it's not up to par. I got the banana dessert they offered it was really good sort of like banana spring rolls you get from PF Chang's Oh water isn't free lol my friend was like wait I asked for tap water but still got charged. I had this place bookmarked, and really wanted to check out the scene. Beautiful place, but extremely small bar. It's definitely a nice place to take a date for sure. Intimate, dimly lit, very cool setting. Love the James Bond themed unisex bathrooms for sure. We sidled up to the bar, but there was no seating available. So we stood. My boyfriend got a dirty martini, my friend got a bourbon, and I got a mixed drink called the Leche de Pantera ,"Panthers Milk", which consisted of rum, gin, evaporated milk, cherry liqueur, and blackberry puree. You fancy huh? It tasted soooo bitter without that blackberry, so once I'd finished that part, I asked for more puree. That was the only way I could finish the drink. So for 3 drinks and a $5 tip, it was $50. Wow. That's hefty, and so glad we didn't get a second round. Maybe this is Midtown prices, but I would be pretty salty paying $100 for for two rounds of drinks. I'd think twice before coming back for the food. This was our first visit to The Consulate. Although some of the recent reviews were mixed, the concept sounded interesting enough to try it out. So glad we did! Our waiter for the evening, Wesley was amazing. He was the perfect mix of professionalism and being personable. He was attentive without being intrusive and made meaningful recommendations. We started with the Korean BBQ Duck Confit and the (Philippines inspired) Manila Street Skewers Platter which included fried breaded Quail Eggs, BBQ Pork skewers, & cream cheese & herb stuffed Peppers. All were tasty, but I loved the duck confit most. My entree, The American VIP (steak & potatoes) had perfectly prepared, medium rare steak seasoned to perfection. This was definitely an unexpected enjoyment. First I must say that it is hard to find the parking lot and then once you are walking, you don't know where to go. There needs to be more signs. Once I stepped into the restaurant and was amazed by the decor. Very worldly (idk if it's a word) antique. Great ambiance! The menu is contactless so you scan the QRcode and it pops up on your phone. They have a Visa side which has specialties from the County that was choosen. The country for our visit time was the Philippines. And a Residence side which have items that are go-to staples. Our waiter was Jackson and he was great. Very informative and patient. Our food came out hot, fast, and fresh and it did not disappoint. At first reading the menu we were a little lost, but we just ordered different things and everything that came out was so delicious. The Philippines is this quarters choice of food. The shrimp rice noodles are so dynamic. The duck confit is rich and savory, much like a pot sticker but 10x. The chicken spring rolls are absolutely delectable in that chili sauce. The consulate is such a unique establishment in the heart of midtown, just steps away from the midtown marta spot. The restaurant looks non-descdipt on the outside and is easy to miss, but once you walk in has a very eclectic and exhibits a fine dining environment. The staff was very friendly and very professional, being extremely helpful with suggestions and explanations on the menu. We started the meal out with cocktails, waiter suggestion, and they were absolutely delightful. Very light and refreshing while being unique and fun to taste. We decided to approach this meal family style, which I highly recommend! There's so many different types of dishes and it's a great pleasure to be able to try as many as you can. One of my personal favorites from the meal was the Ukrainian dumplings. Such an interesting dish with mushroom sauce coating a potato and mushroom dumpling. The Nuuk Chops were also an absolute delight, having a very interesting spice run and being very flavorful overall. So glad I went back for this restaurant. It was a friends birthday and they wanted a experience and I knew for sure this would be the spot , I made reservations and the magic began . I couldn't see the bathroom with guns last time I can due to Covid but I did this time I order 2 appetizers and the octopus I must say was the best I've ever had . Amazing service from the waiter , I also enjoyed my meal from start to finish. Do yourself the service of eating here and experience the world wide feel Thai restaurant has . I try not to wear out my fave spots but this is worthy of impression a date or a special occasion . Edit: Thank you for responding in the manner that seems to be your style. Really all you needed to do was say sorry and leave it at that instead you are putting blame on me for your communication issues. I was never told ANY meal could be done in 3 minutes and I find that doubtful if I had ordered the steak. I also will call out that if the meal I never received wasn't on the receipt how did I know it was added if it"never hit the table". A little humility goes a long way although in situations like this although I suppose some never acquire it. FYI- the chairs are very uncomfortable. If you chose to eat here sit on the bench side and definitely don't have any issues as you can see how the owner responds. It's unfortunate as the decor and how they chose menus is great. This review is not one I thought I would be making as many reviews are really fantastic. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. The decor is really great and most everyone in our group enjoyed the apps. The concept of the rotating menus is very cool. Here was the issue and why we will not be back. We all ordered at the same time. Fast forward 30 minutes and the main dishes start arriving. The server comes to me and tells me that the sandwich I ordered is no longer available. I have diabetes and tend to have a limited diet but the issue for me was why in the world would a restaurant wait until the whole table is being served to tell me? There was sufficient time to tell me prior to the other mains all arriving. They warned us when we sat that service may take a while as well as bar orders and we were fine with that but if I'm ordering a new meal when everyone is already eating I would be eating while they are done. I declined a new meal as we had already been there a long time and this is the other piece that bothered me. We spent over 1k, there was no offer to comp a few apps and they initially had my meal (that I never got) on the bill. They did remove when I pointed it out, I just can't get past the poor experience and how they chose to handle it. They didn't seem to get that it would have been almost impossible for me to eat with my party at that point. I do understand that stuff happens but when given an opportunity to make a customer feel like they tried (beyond suggesting I order another meal that late) they simply didn't do it. read more

The restaurant is beautiful! There's a lounge area and the booths are sexy! Housekeeping issues: there's validated parking in the deck at W. Peachtree & 10th St. for 3 hrs, the bathrooms are gender neutral, & no passport or visa is needed. :-) We came during the Zambian Visa Menu: I started with the Agave in Africa, which tastes like a mix between a margarita & a mojito without the mint. It's tasty and has a good mix of sweetness & tartness. The Victoria's flowers is good but it's made with gin so beware. The beef patties are good. My American inexperienced palette wanted some cheese and sour cream w/ it as it brings to mind a tostado ‍. I ordered the oxtails and my dinner guest ordered the snapper. We liked the dishes; note both contain peanuts, which are cooked into the stewed sauce. The oxtails were good but there were 3 small/medium size oxtails for $27. It's not spicy at all but well-seasoned. The starch is like a thick paste under the oxtails. The fish was good but she didn't like all the sauce that came with it. It tasted fine to me. The desserts weren't appealing to us so we didn't order any... This menu is good through April 1st. They will spin the globe, there's a few throughout the restaurant, every 90 days to present new offerings. They have some international staples I believe you can order year round. Absolutely incredible!!! Wesley was such a great server, really made our experience. We ordered 16 items between 4 people and wish our stomachs were larger to keep eating! What we ordered Drinks: naked and famous, gin and juice, the consulate famous all 5/5 Apps: spinach dip, beef skewers(both items so good we got twice!!) and third was the duck confit Entrees: shrimp pancet, lamb tips, beef entree. Dessert: Turkish cheesecake, baklava, fried banana (sooo good) The ambience is darky and romantic almost but grunge. Great decor and loved the mutilevel seating. For several reasons, wife, Valerie and me chose to celebrate our 32 year wedding anniversary in Atlanta. After seeing a feature on The Consulate at https://aspire.tv/shows/city-eats-atlanta/episodes/the-consulate/ - I decided we must go and check it out. The Consulate did not disappoint, we enjoyed an outstanding experience from appetizer through dessert. First, the ambiance, decor and vibe were outstanding - the music, people and energy were just what I envisioned for our celebration. We started with the Havana Egg Roll which was amazing - moist marinated pork, crispy egg roll with mojo sauce to compliment ... we couldn't get enough. Since it was the 1st night of the Japanese cuisine, Valerie selected the the Tonkatsu pork chop which she enjoyed. I had the Cote D'Ivoire Jollof rice with cubed sirloin from the Resident menu. I must say the Jollof rice with vegetables was savory with the perfect spice (Suya) which was quite satisfying and delicious. Lastly, the service was exemplary - thank you Cecelia! We were blessed to be seated by 2 wonderful couples in those cool, comfortable, crushed blue velvet sofa chairs - one couple celebrating a birthday and the other their 10th wedding anniversary ... Went with a friend who had been wanting to try this hip spot. The rotating menu currently features Korean. We got there right when it opened so we could sit at the bar. Bartender was terrific, ambiance was great. Food was delightful. Truly one of the best meals I've had in a while. The lotus root was flavorful and fresh. The dumplings had great pan searing on the outside and a delicious chicken + shrimp filling. The star was the bulgogi with squid ink pasta. Incredible flavor, beef and pasta cooked just right. I love the concept of this place. I originally made a reservation because I saw they were focusing on Korea. When I got there, they had just changed the menu that day to focus on Mexico. That was fine because there were so many options to choose from. Starting with the drinks they were fantastic. I had gotten a specialty drink, called the sunsets, something or the other... I can't remember the exact name, but it was delicious. Loved the fruity flavor. We started with the kings ransom charcuterie, and that was really good. I loved the candy coated walnuts and the housemaid jam. We then had the sautéed okra from Thailand, the okra was nice and tender and the sauce was really good. After that I had the polio al tequila con lima, which was a Tijuana dish. It had a mango salsa and a mango chili sauce with mashed potatoes. The dish was OK, not my favorite it was good, but nothing really stood out. For dessert I had the kavove yabluko which was a Ukrainian honey crisp apple cake dessert with white chocolate, and salted caramel. That was really good. The cake itself was not too sweet which I really enjoyed but you could taste the apple flavors inside. I loved the white chocolate on the outside, and the presentation was fantastic. The service at the restaurant was great and love the ambience. I will definitely be back when I am in Atlanta for business again. read more
