OMG my sister and I had the BEST time at The Continental Room for Emo Prom!!! They have fun themed nights going on all the time with live music, djs, all the things - def check out their calendar. There are multiple rooms, for this event there was different music in each and a photo booth. It was around Halloween and the crowd totally got in the spirit. Spooky Emo is a vibe. The bartender was cool and beers were reasonably priced. Everything felt clean, even the bathroom ;) Really fun venue, crowd, everything - can't wait to go back!

Mo. The manager of the place put hands on us and kicked us out waaay before 2am in the bathroom, we were in the bathroom and he sent people to kick us out with out warning and all the Staff was rude and aggressive kicking us out. Never experienced something like this. Mo himself put hands on my sister and pushed her out when we were trying to put a sweater on, it was barely 1:45 am. Had his staff and security push us and other women out from the restroom, the guys literally went in the restroom at 1:40 am and started harrasing us to leave. Had a female at the end qt the door harrasing us to get out when we were leaving. Would never come back especially after the OWNER MO was the one that put hands on my sister and pushed us out and had his whole staff harrasing us and others to leave

Shoutout to the dj (and my husband) lol

Came here after a wedding and it was fun! The music was great, especially for DTF, there was a lot of hip hop and that's hard to find around here, so thank you for that! I was a little apprehensive coming going out because of Covid, but as far as I could tell things have ended up alright. Although there was no social distancing (of course, it's a bar lol), I felt... okay to be in this atmosphere. The DJ for the night was dope, real nice guy that took request, but really had no need because he was too busy keeping the dance floor hyphy!

    Vibes.

For a game, to hang with friends...all of it! The server here Jackie is cool as hell! If you have any questions about what to order she will direct you to some good food. The go to here is the passion fruit margaritas, birria with consommé, carne asada tacos (they don't make it well done but not super medium either - just perfect), truffle fries with some chili something or another, the chili lime wings, stay away from the lemon pepper - too salty for my taste. And sports games all around! And if you ask them to change they definitely will do it for you. This place has a party vibe so make sure you come to enjoy. I didn't mind, but I know some of my friends did. The churro plate was pretty good, but the churros were a bit too hard.

However, you don't always want to feel like you're trying too hard to change your scenery, bumping you too far out of your comfort zone. The answer my friends, is the good old classic American dive bar. Now, many places like to call themselves a dive bar just because they never clean a single inch of their establishment and have seedy patrons that love to play the more than occasional 80's songs on the jukebox but don't be mistaken, a good dive bar is hard to find. Well, I happen to have found one and it's in Fullerton of all places. That's right, Fullerton, not Los Angeles, nor Hollywood nor some pop-culturally over-hyped city. What makes The Blue Door a good dive bar? First, there's earned consistency & routine. The drinks won't always be made well, or the bartender won't always be attentive but if you come a few times, you'll soon know at what time and day the drinks are made properly by knowing the schedules of the bartenders. Secondly, the drinks are stiff, the service is friendly and nobody bothers you unless you bother them. The atmosphere goes from lively and loud to quiet and solitary, again depending upon when you visit. Lastly, they're open from 6:00AM-2:00AM. They're not just there when the hipsters are around, they're there for you whenever you make the bad decision of using alcohol as an anesthetic. Stay searching for the last remains of Americana my friends....

Their front of house focus is the wine bar, but they also have a good cocktail and martini menu, as well as a nice selection of food items. The interior is warm and cozy with two different seating areas. The larger front area has bar seating, quite a few tables, and a lounge area in the back corner with several couches. There is another area in the back which is smaller, and houses their cocktail bar and a number of two seat high top tables. You can order anything on the menu from either area. We sat at the bar in front for some Sunday evening cocktails and small bites. We started out with the spinach & artichoke dip ($15). The dip came out very hot, was a big portion, and was very good. However, the menu said it came with toast points, but instead it was served with tortilla chips which were just ok. The advertised toast points or fresher tortilla chips would have made this appetizer better. My first cocktail was the Limoncello Martini (vodka, fresh Limoncello, lemon juice, $15). I usually love anything lemon and this was a good martini with light lemon flavor. She started with the Purple Martin Martini (vodka, raspberry puree, pineapple, $15). This was another good martini with light sweetness from the raspberry and pineapple, not a sugar bomb. We wanted a little more food, so we ordered the Caprese flatbread ($18). It was a good size, and the dough was great. It had a good amount of cheese and tomatoes, and I really liked the balsamic drizzle on top. However, it did not come with the basil that was listed on the menu. Next, I tried the Peperoncino Martini (vodka, Italian Peperoncino brine, black pepper, extra virgin olive oil, $15). I loved this, one of the more unique martinis I've had. She liked her sip so much, she ordered her own for number three. Her second cocktail was the Carmel Apple Martini (carmel apple vodka, Licor 43, lemon, star anise, caramel cube garnish, $15). Most of the time, you would expect a caramel apple martini to be a sugar bomb, but not this one. The flavors were great with a light sweetness. And who doesn't like a caramel square treat? For my last one, I had the Cinnamon Sleigh (bourbon, cinnamon spice, maple, orange twist, $15). This was a good sipping finisher with light cinnamon notes and those great orange aromatics. KJ was our server, and she was very sweet and friendly. We came early in the evening and it was a little slow, so we chatting with her quite a bit. I'd take a half point off for the two food items not coming with the listed items, but rounded up to five stars overall. The bill had a 3% charge added for using a credit card. They have a music trivia night on Thursdays which would be fun to try. We enjoyed our first visit here, and will definitely return again.
