We had planned to have brunch at a place nearer to our house, but there was a Christmas event that blocked traffic in such a way that we ended up going to Copper Kettle. What wonderful serendipity! This place just opened and it's AMAZING. I now know to go out of my way to go here. We had three of the quiches: the best was the margherita, followed closely by the spinach and gruyere. My wife and I have been there twice since Christmas. Both visits were five Star and above. The owners Alex and Nikki were warm and friendly. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere is very peaceful and restful. I had the huevos rancheros both times. My wife had the quiche first time and then the standard pancake bacon and egg and grits breakfast the second time. This is our new favorite place! Saint Pete Beach has been lacking a great breakfast spot for years, this is a home run enterprise. read more

The Copper Kettle has officially become my new go to spot for breakfast and lunch. It's located in the old Frog Pond space on St. Pete Beach. Nikki's recipes are truly the heart of the place. Everything tastes like the best version of home cooked food. The loaded black beans with gremolata are honestly the best thing I've ever tasted in my life! Rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The French toast is perfection. And don't even get me started on the shrimp tacos. I didn't even like shrimp prior to tasting Nikki's shrimp tacos and now I crave them constantly. Alex brings the experience full circle with outstanding customer service. Having managed the Frog Pond for years, he clearly knows how to run a restaurant. The atmosphere is warm, the team is friendly, and you can tell they truly care about their guests.
