Went in for a quick coffee/breakfast pick up before heading out for our day of exploring. Food was good, coffee was fine - I liked the wide variety of selections. Items were on the pricier side. There was also discrepancies in pricing from one posted menu to another (shown in photos). Staff was lovely and super friendly. My one big complaint and, based on other reviews, sounds like others had the same experience, was that our order took a very long time. They were busy, yes. Maybe short staffed? Who knows. But waiting 25 mins for a latte and a breakfast sandwich just wasn't something we were prepared for, so that was unfortunate. I think it's one of the few coffee shops in Big Bear, which is pretty surprising. read more

They have gone through a transition and it's not a great one. They no longer have vegan or gluten free items. There are no vegan options on the food menu. They have only a couple of vegetarian options. The only vegan thing they have going for them is oat milk or almond milk for their drinks. The brewed tea options are super limited. They used to have a separate tea menu. No one in our party liked their drinks. This is updated as of November 2025. Also, the guy who works in the morning is not a friendliest. His customer service skills are not great. We ordered pretty simple items and they took forever coming out. Also, they only serve 16 ounce drinks now. There's no kids size or 20oz large size. Haven't been there since they did away with the retail kitchen sales. Definitely NOT and improvement. First, what was Good: The Cappuccino was ok. The toasted croissant was fresh and perfectly toasted. Second, what was not good: The rude look I received when I asked what type a particular muffin was. The same rude look, despite me making an extra effort to smile and say thank you, when I picked up the order. About 1/2 way through the "blueberry" muffin, we did indeed find one blueberry. The muffin was so cold you could consider it almost frozen. Maybe our fault for not checking "heated" on the electronic order board. If you are a fan of creamy, steamed-milk hot cocoa, find it somewhere else. This tasted like 12oz of water with about 1/2 a packet of Nestles hot cocoa mix. Overall, everybody working in the place looked like they would rather be anywhere else. We won't be going back. read more

You order at an iPad Kiosk... And then they charge you a "service charge"... what could that service be if you are ordering on an iPad? Also... for 2 weak cappuccinos it's a whopping $15 and that's before the iPad automatically selects an 18% tip + the already built in service charge... Sadly our drinks were pretty watered down , my boyfriend got a vanilla frappe with espresso and he said it was flavorless( couldn't taste the vanilla) and watered down. If you're here for the coffee, it's up and down. The cold brew is a little weak, and they were out of Vietnamese coffee by 3:30. However, the caramel macchiato was on point. The best part of the visit for me was the vibe this place has. Lots of casual counter seating, high ceilings in a beautiful early to mid century setting. Long lines for pastries per usual except the shelves are empty with limited options and line stops moving for 10-15 mins at a time while the barista catches up on the coffee orders, except there are no explanations, no greetings, just begrudging vibes all around. My family and I arrived about 15 minutes after opening, as they're one of the only places open earlier in the day (we're tourists obviously). When we entered there was hardly anyone there and we proceeded to order two crepes, a breakfast burrito, a coffee, and 2 chocolate milks. As we were waiting at our table, the chef came up to me with a burrito on a plate and nodded as if asking "did you order a burrito?". I nodded yes and he placed the burrito down, in which my dad started to eat. A few mins later we were still waiting for them to call our names for our drinks, and discovered they had been sitting on the counter for some time. The chocolate milks were not correct, and instead were hot chocolates. They never called our name like they had said they would and the order was wrong... Then, as my dad is eating his burrito they call my name with his ACTUAL burrito. Apparently they had given him the wrong one. When we shared what had happened, the chef rolled his eyes, said no words, and proceeded remaking the burrito my dad was eating so that it could actually go to the right person. He never said a word, put my dad's correct burrito in a box, and placed it to the side. He later gave that box to someone else who had ordered the same thing about 10 mins later.... Mind you, my dad never got the correct food he ordered. Additionally, the lady making crepes (the only one with basic customer service skills) explained that they didn't have the custard that was in the crepe I ordered. She offered an alternative and proceeded to tell me their crepe person had quit the night before and she was not familiar with making them. It took a while to get the crepes, but given the situation she was in, I have no complaints about that! She was kind, apologetic, and working hard!! The girl behind the register was incredibly sweet and helpful, but she was overwhelmed. My hot chocolate I ordered was ice cold, I had to return it to get a hot one. A woman in line started complaining, "Are you the only one working here?? What's taking so long!?" The prices are on the high side, my cake pop was yummy but I have to admit I've had much better. Came here in search of pho and ended up walking out with quiche! The pho prices were quite steep ($18), so I decided to opt for a slide of quiche instead. I ended up ordering the bacon quiche and the cashier heated it up for me. I'd recommend eating it right away, as I waited a bit and the cheese on the top became a bit more firm. I loved the crumbly crust on this one and thought the egg/bacon portion was yummy as well. There were some veggies (I believe it was bell peppers?) mixed in which made for a more well-rounded bite. This place is interesting to say the least but I'm glad our little group found it before heading back down the mountain! We were looking for somewhere to eat that wasn't just traditional American breakfast and were surprised to see that this seemingly traditional American coffee shop also sold pho. This location is in The Village so parking is either on the street or in the nearby lots. We got there around 11 am on a Sunday and found a street spot right in front of the restaurant. If you're dining in, you order at the counter with the register and seat yourself at a table. There's another "counter" or open kitchen looking bar area at the back of the restaurant that has seating too and that's where the pho is made to order. If you're just ordering a drink/pastry, there's another counter you go to pick those up. When the pho is ready, the man making it will call out your name. They also have the sauces, lime, jalapeño, etc. available for you to add to your pho. They serve just two types of pho, beef or vegetarian. The beef pho comes with meatballs, sliced beef, and a huge beef rib. The vegetable pho comes with mushrooms and an assortment of veggies. Both are served in a heavy stone bowl and seem to be the less commonly known Northern type of pho. The broth is sweeter and the noodles are wider than the pho you'd usually get at a pho restaurant but was delicious nonetheless. It really hit the spot for all of us.
