We arrived with a party of 10 without a reservation on a Sunday for lunch. They were able to seat us pretty quickly. Here is were the problems began with service. It took us about 10 minutes to get menus for the table. One the menus were received, it took a while for the waiter to come back and take our orders. Than a good while before we got our food. Many of the orders were wrong and took a while to correct and we're still waiting for an order of fries. Then the check took a while to get to the table. I'm thinking that they were shorthanded that day, plus they had an event going on (shower of some sort) that might have taken all their attention. Whatever was the case, the service was s l o w ! A table sitting behind us got up and left because the waiter took a really long time to get to them to take their order. Food. Once they got the orders right, the food was pretty good. I hope they get their act together when it comes to service. Again, the may have been short handed causing them to fall behind on service. We may try them again in the future but it will probably be a while. read more

This was our first time visiting The Corner Bistro and honestly I don't know why it took so long to discover this gem! They had sufficient outdoor seating to accommodate these crazy times and they seemed to be working off the regular menu. They had specials available and a children's menu. I didn't realize it was BYOB, but definitely an added benefit that I can bring something next time. We ordered the clam steamers, which were huge! They were very tasty, a good portion size and not a trace of sand. For dinner I was stuck between Chicken Florentine or Pasta Carbonara. When I asked for guidance from our server Jonathan, he was very knowledgeable about each dish and highlighted the features of each to help me decide. He ultimately said the pasta carbonara is popular and after describing how it was prepared I was sold. We also ordered kids chicken fingers and fries. When the food came out it looked like a small portion, but don't be deceived by the plate! I couldn't even finish it, but I would have loved to! I took the leftovers home. Honestly, one of the most exciting parts about my dinner was that they gave me a entire little bowl of grated Parmesan cheese that allowed me to add as much as I wanted...and I LOVE Parmesan cheese. We finished the night off with their lava cake which was decadent and delicious. My son was fascinated that their dessert menu consisted of a table side tray of actual samples to choose from versus a paper menu! Our favorite restaurant by miles!.A gem along route 10.Whenever we go to eat out we use this restaurant as our standard (and most fall short..lol) The food is wonderful and every dish on the menu is well thought out and scrumptious (I love the sesame seared tuna..yum!!) The ambience is lovely, calm and relaxing . The tables are properly spaced, the sound level reasonable. They even have a very nice outdoor section where we love to go on warm evenings. The wait staff are very professional and always make you feel welcome and well served..It is great for romantic dinners with your significant other and also family and friends get togethers (their catering is great also!) Cannot say enough about this wonderful spot..just don't make it too crowded..lol read more

I am so disappointed. We would come here all the time and the 10oz filet was always PHENOMENAL! It was always slow and we worried they wouldn't last long if they didn't get people in. Now the place is packed and the food has gone downhill. My husband and daughter received their meals, 10 minutes later the waiter told me there was a problem in the kitchen with my steak. 5 min after that my beautiful medium cooked 10oz filet mignon with frizzled onions, sautéed mushrooms and garlic mashed potatoes was delivered to me. A hard as rock charcoaled lump of meat impossible to cut on the outside, but bloody and very not medium cooked on the inside: served swimming in a slop of what looked like the onions and mushrooms one would receive in a hospital serving of Salisbury steak, and Mashed potatoes lumped with an ice cream scoop, cafeteria style. The saddest part is, even after the "problem" in the kitchen, the waiter never once stopped by to ask how everything was. When he came to collect our plates my bloody, still mooing, sorry excuse for a filet, I told him It was not very good at all, even tho he didn't ask. He took the entire uneaten plate of food to the kitchen. Nobody inquired. Nobody cared. The $27 inedible piece of garbage they put on my plate was still on my bill. I paid for it, without dispute, partly because my 3 year old daughter had about enough of waiting, but mostly because taking it off the bill wouldn't change the service the next time. Which, sadly for me there won't be. I work for a small business. They are a rare thing to find in this world of big corporations and speedy cuisine. But the small business is what makes a town unique, they give it a flare that can't be found just anywhere. I really hope the corner bistro can get their act together and learn to balance their amazing cuisine with the increase of patronage otherwise I fear they may go the way of so many other small businesses. read more

We always joke that if the bread is good, the meal will be good... The bread was great! We sat outside on their beautiful patio and brought our own bottle of wine. No. Just no. It is a glorified diner. They forgot my dad's salad and there was plastic in my dessert! The food was subpar at best, Caesar salad dressing tasted bottled, and the only thing keeping it from a one star rating was the sweet (but not very competent) waiter and the steamed clams which were surprisingly good. We just had our daughter's baby shower here and it was wonderful!!! The staff and chef Harold were very kind and helpful. We had plenty of room to set up a beautiful party. Decided to come back after one year and a good experience. I could not find a single thing on our plates that was not absolutely delicious! Surf and turf was excellent, Cajun sliced shrimp and delectable beef! Great presentation. Even the cole slaw was great. Coconut salmon A+. Friendly service and relaxed atmosphere on the patio. Service was really bad. At the height of lunch on a Sunday, there were two waiters, and maybe 5 tables. The waiters would simultaneously disappear for 5-10 minutes at a time and not even peek in. The folks at the table closest to the kitchen (furthest from ours) were regulars, and had everyone's attention, including management, for some time... Both waiters serving their table at one point, while I couldn't get 1 refill of my tea. Once, I got my tea refill, I poured the spoiled creamer I was given into it, and waited another ten minutes to get it replaced. The menu looked good, but the food was really mediocre. I was surprised when the "hash browns" were actually pre-formed frozen disks like the ones you get from McDonalds. read more

Such a delight! This place has been completely renovated since Le Peep, and I must say, the Belgian waffle I had for breakfast yesterday was the most delicious I can recall ever eating. The golden-brown color and overall flavor was perfection. I really hope this bistro is successful- not only is it immaculate inside, but the service was wonderful and they accommodate various diet restrictions (I overheard the customers' complicated orders a few tables away, and each request was happily met). So I'm actually still sitting in the restaurant but feel obligated to post a review as I sit here. Came to dinner with my husband and two preteen daughters. The waitstaff has been outstanding. Totally attentive, completely accommodating, helpful, timely, I have absolutely no complaints. And the food. We started with crabcakes for an appetizer. Delicious. We had different versions of steak, stuffed shrimp, surf and turf. All excellent and cooked exactly to order. And still the staff remains completely attentive. Have not yet had dessert but will certainly update the review once I get there. It's a nice setting. BYOB so bring your favorite bottle of wine or beer as we have. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal over the weekend. Staff was courteous and attentive without being overbearing. The food was very good.. We ordered appetizers, side salads (which came with frisée lettuce - nice touch) and three entrees which were all cooked to our specifications. They also had a really great musician the night we err on that played Italian and other international music on an accordion.. I love this place! Tonight was my second time here and it was better than the first! The food is great. The seating is such that you are not on top of each other. (I hate when my husband and I are seated where we are 12 inches from the next table.) On Saturday night there is an accordionist that plays all sorts of songs which are not overpowering and just adds to a nice atmosphere. I live locally and have passed this restaurant many times. Finally decided to try it with friends. The exterior and interior has a dark, dreary undertone to it. Service was good. Menu looked fantastic with many options to choose from. The prices were a little high for a dreary strip mall restaurant, but if the food was good, I'd be ok with that. The food was not good. I started with a wedge salad that was really just tasteless lettuce. I left more than I ate. My entree was lemon pepper chicken. This ended up being strips of dry, tasteless chicken with strips of mushrooms that must have been soaked in vinegar. Again I left most of my meal on the plate. $40 (with tip and a BYOB) is too much when I had to eat at home afterwards. read more
