Ok. This is one of those must stop places. Country cafe is a perfect description of this place. Prices are ridiculously low and portions are great. I ordered 2 eggs, HD and English muffin. $3.59! Easy parking on street. Waitress super sweet and attentive to us. What more can I say. See my pics and menu. Takes CC/Square and has Heinz ketchup instead of a generic type. oh yeah! Bathrooms spotless! I will come here again when passing through. The likelihood of that may be good if we make the sale!

Visiting from out of town with family. Place had numerous empty tables but waitress refused to let us sit down to eat. She said that she cannot serve more than 5 people at a time. Ok no problem. We offered to sit at two different tables. She wouldn't let us sit down. Other families came in after us and sat down. Rudest waitress I've ever encountered. Not giving this small business my business.

Sometimes heading in a different direction can yield suprises, and that's exactly what happened on that morning as we stumbled across this small cafe in Schoharie. Needing a good breakfast, we went for it. Tattooed and pierced, our server was great, often appearing with a fresh pot of coffee after our order was taken. Two in my group got omelets, which came with home fries and toast. Both plates were left clean and a thumbs up from them. I got the pancake special that had blueberry cakes topped with strawberries and whipped cream...very patriotic for the memorial Day weekend, and also included coffee. The place was clean, and the decor was a bit of country store yet comfy. Prices were reasonable and the selection was adequate, but could use some more vegetarian options. Stop in and grab a bite.

    Nutella and banana French toast

Perfect place for comfort food. We ordered the Nutella banana French toast and the big country breakfast. Food was delicious you get so much for cheap. We came on Halloween and the waitress was dressed in full costume! The waitress was busy being that she was only the one working the front. But overall a good experience.

Excellent food and great service! Big portions too! A must try when you're in the area. Tried the garbage omelette and it was superb.

I love this place for breakfast or lunch. But don't miss the gift shop and animal farm. Not that you could, but it is worth the drive!

We were tucked away in an indoor/outdoor area with gorgeous orange comfy chairs. We did not come in with a reservation. Again this place was a stumbled upon gem. We looked online for a nice place to go for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. He loves moose and we love farm to table food. The server helped us decide what to get for drinks, both delicious. The food.....holy cow. Heavenly. Our two meals tasted so vastly different so it was great that we were each able to sample the other's and they were both SO tasty. We asked our server for a special dessert for his birthday, she asked if we liked bananas and we enthusiastically said yes. Next thing we know, this decadent warm banana and caramel creation is coming towards us with a giant sparkler. This was probably hands down....one of the best desserts I have ever had in my life. I would make the trip back up here solely for that! Should we ever find ourselves back up in the Catskills, this will ABSOLUTELY be on our list of places to revisit.

Located in the Main Street/Partition Street corridor, there is a cool downtown vibe. Street parking and a Public Lot nearby make for easy access. I got the Egs Benny and it was served with amazing potatoes and a light and tasty salad. Eggs were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Waitress was attentive and accommodating. I also ordered a Bloody Mary and a local craft beer because I could. The Bloody was decent, not mind blowing but still tasty. Oh and I ordered a dozen oysters while I was at it. They were of the small variety but tender, clean and amazing. Prices were reasonable to the area. Definitely will be back. No photos this time, sorry.

Walking in we were seated promptly though we immediately noticed that the interior was extremely dark. Not a big deal but worth flagging for older folks who might have a hard time reading. Our server was friendly and relatively attentive and walked us through the menu. We started off with some classics including their bread and butter (which was tasty and delicious) and ordered their P.E.I Mussels ($19) along with their Fried Brussels Sprouts ($15) to share. The portions were quite large for everything (great if you're in a larger party) but we immediately noticed that the mussels they served seemed a bit off. Many of them were not opened all the way (a sign that they might not be the freshest or recently passed) and had a bit of a fishy taste to them. We ended up not finishing them and flagged them to our waiter. The other items, including the 14oz Ribeye ($43) and baby back ribs ($28) were better, though a bit one-note. The bay back ribs in particular were extremely saucy and the corn bread was dry and a bit tough to eat. I had to use a knife to split it apart as it kept crumbling every time I used a fork. Regardless, it seems like a popular spot for a reason and perhaps we just went during more of an off-night. I'd still recommend checking it out but avoiding the mussels if you go.

The atmosphere immediately invites you to stay awhile: relaxed, cozy, spotless, and effortlessly trendy without trying too hard. It's the kind of place that feels both comfortable and current. The menu offered an excellent variety, making it hard to choose, but we started with the goat cheese and mushroom flatbread appetizer paired with cocktails, and it was the perfect beginning to the evening. Flavorful, balanced, and beautifully prepared. For dinner, we sampled two outstanding entrées. The wild shrimp dish was incredibly fresh, served over a vibrant mix of garden-picked greens, avocado, watermelon radish, and a flavorful kicker dressing that tied everything together perfectly. The Faroe Island salmon was equally impressive -- perfectly cooked and topped with locally picked ramp-infused butter, served over asparagus and fingerling potatoes. Every bite tasted fresh, seasonal, and thoughtfully crafted. Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience with warm hospitality, a welcoming vibe, and food that truly delivers. We will definitely back for dinner and stay for the live music as well.

Excellent food and friendly staff. Filled with locals who all seem to know each other. My girlfriend and I spent two nights in a B&B just a block away, and we stopped in on a Saturday night. It was packed, and the only space was at the large communal table in the middle of the room. Our food took 40 minutes to come out, but the waitstaff was incredibly apologetic and offered to comp a round of drinks, and we were in no rush just enjoying the atmosphere, so no worries there. We had a flatbread with arugula and prosciutto and pasta with grilled chicken. Both were incredible. My girlfriend has spent a lot of time in Italy and has laughably high standards when it comes to pasta, and she wouldn't stop raving about how good her penne was. There was a corner filled with musical instruments, so it looks like they host live music as well, though not while we were there. Overall this is a great restaurant in a rural area that is worth driving to if needed.
