I visited The Craft House when they were still at their old location, but I have to say that the move to the old Third Place Global Eatery has definitely made the experience better. The space is open and bright, there is plenty of greenery still left behind, and I love the little window into the kitchen at the front of the place. The Craft House makes delicious, inventive dishes and drinks. Think Mediterranean chicken tacos and their Manila Sunset mocktail. The food is always fresh, tasty, and perfect for a casual lunch date with friends. Not to mention, Greg and his team are fantastic. They are all super friendly, serve with a smile, and always look out for their customers first.

The Craft House is now in a new location where Third Place used to be. Very nice place with great seating inside or on their patio outside. We went on a Saturday at 11:30 for lunch and they were not very busy. Service was excellent and prompt. Our waitress, Ashley, went out of her way to be friendly and conversational. I ordered a prickly pear cider on their seasonal cider menu, which was excellent. Not too sweet, but just sweet enough. My husband ordered a burger and tots, and I had the dip sandwich, which is like a dipable cheesesteak. The bread for the amount of meat was a bit much. I think this sandwich would be great as a panini, and I am sure they would oblige, as they have a pork panini on their menu. My husband said his burger and tots were good. My husband and I definitely want to come back at night and maybe have drinks and try another cider or beer.

I love this restaurant it's locally owned and operated by a wonderful couple here in clovis. They had a restaurant before across the street where the cooked up daily soups and had local beer on tap now they moved to a bigger location right across the street where they have more seating inside as well as outside seating. Much more spacious for big parties as well. They did stop the daily soups down to one soup all week long but I was told by the owner they don't serve soup during the summer season because it's way too hot outside. They do serve local beer as well as other beer listed on the menu, they serve cocktails too. The menu spans from appetizers to dessert, they have options for everyone including customers who are vegan. I highly recommend coming here where things are fresh, cook to order, and served by great people as well as cooks. If you don't feel like dining inside you can also order takeout, no matter what you pick you'll be happy you choose to eat here. Please keep in mind the menu prices start at around $15 dollars and go up to $25 dollars a plate, it is a more higher priced restaurant but worth every penny.

This place just moved into a new building that has a lot of patio potential. With that in mind, it seemed like they were still getting their bearings straight as they were out of several beers and the service was a little slow, despite the server being super nice. The surf and turf tots and dip it sandwich were excellent! Their fries are also incredible. Didn't love the crispy chicken sandwich as it seemed a little basic, but we will totally be returning to check out other things.

Wow! This restaurant/craft house is fantastic. The ambience is perfect for eating with friends, watching football (high tops and low seating). The patio is clean, inviting with misters. We went a few times prior to them moving from the corner (which now is Pendragon brewery). This spot is so much bigger and inviting. The beer choices have something for everyone and cold. I picked one of the lagers; it had a nice flavor. If you watch football, they have you hooked up in the main are as well as the lounge. First time ordering "the pork belly fries". Sooo much food that was packed full of flavors that had so many flavors that say yum with each bite. Our server, Julie was the best!!!!

Came here on a Thursday night and it wasn't too busy. Service was great, all the staff were very friendly. We ordered wings as an appetizer. Was a little hesitant about the strawberry sriracha sauce it was tossed with but the server assured us we would like it. He was correct, very flavorful and balanced. The strawberry gave it just the right amount of sweet to balance with the heat. For my dinner, I ordered The Dip, which is their take on a beef dip. It was pretty good. The Horseradish Aioli was great, and the Au Jus, while lighter in color than what I'm used to, was just as flavorful. My only "complaint" was the ratio of beef to bread could have been better. It could have used just a little more beef. I also ordered the tots as my side, nice and crunchy. The beer selection had a few selections of IPAs, Lagers and Stouts. Liked that there weren't too many options, as that can get overwhelming. With it not being very packed, it had a good environment. There were a few TVs in the main room, and noise was balanced. My friend and I didn't have to talk over ambient noise, which is always a plus in my book. Just a heads up, there is no signage visible from the street. The building is the former Third Place Global Eatery. I passed by it once as I don't go into Old Town Clovis very often. I look forward to visiting again

The Craft House does it again! If you haven't heard, Third Place Global Eatery is no more and Craft House has completely taken over the entire space, both in ownership and food. The only Third Place remnants left are a few pieces of signage on the building, which will be taken down soon. All of the food served here is 100% the classic Craft House menu along with a few new food items and cocktails. Crow and Wolf is no longer running the outside patio bar, but their craft beers and a handful of other local breweries suds are still being served here. I tried one of their new cocktails which is a take on a Moscow Mule but made with vodka and passion fruit juice. It was delicious! My kids loved their chicken tenders and mac 'n cheese and to be honest, so did my wife and I. Those tenders and creamy mac can get it! I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, with a side salad. The sandwich was amazing and I love the spicy batter they use on their chicken breast. I was honestly shocked at how good my house lemon vinaigrette salad dressing was. It was so good that I even started dipping tater tots in it. Shout out to the amazing servers who work here Kate, Julie, and Kayla! All of our food was delivered fast, fresh, and they truly made sure we felt comfortable. I'm so happy that The Craft House has found a new home in a truly beautiful location. I'm sad that the Third Place came and went, but as they say; when one door closes, another one opens. Cheers!

Lunch time at the craft house made a pit stop over down to Clovis. I usually go there and no issues. There was plenty of parking and seating. I had to wait 2 to 5 minutes to be seated. The food is on point however I had to wait a long duration for my food. The restaurant was clean and plenty of air conditioning for you to enjoy.

**We've been loyal customers of Craft House for a long time, and I've never had to write a negative review--until now.** I came in with my kids on a hot 90-degree day. The owner seated us at a corner table and then completely forgot about us. For 20 minutes, we sat without a greeting, service, or even water. Meanwhile, a white couple who came in *after* us was immediately attended to by the owner--offered wine and beer samples, and had their order taken right away. I didn't say anything at first, but after watching them receive service while we were ignored, I politely asked the other owner (his wife) if we could order. I even said I understood they were busy and was willing to be patient, but it was upsetting to see customers arriving after us get priority service. She took our order, and I asked for water for my thirsty kids. Then another duo arrived, was seated just a few tables away, and immediately got water, silverware, and multiple greetings from both owners. By that point, we had been there 30 minutes without so much as a glass of water or silverware. It was frustrating, disheartening, and frankly felt discriminatory. I have the entire experience on video and in photos. My girls and I finally got up and left. After years of coming here, this was deeply disappointing and unacceptable.

Stopped for lunch with the wife at this new location after an appointment, the ambiance was very modern with some big windows and glass doors that let a lot of light in. Right outside where we were sat it looked like there was a small bar with a Crow and Wolf sign which I loved because I always love supporting local. Ordered the Mac and cheese bowl with shredded pork and it was perfect for that cold day. Amazing flavor and also warmed me up, also got some fries to share. Staff was very good, welcoming and were nice enough to close the door after requested because that cold air was chilly . Went to the craft house for a yelp event at a different location so we were definitely excited to go back and try them again!

Stopped in for lunch and was impressed. Immediately greeted by the owner himself who had a great sense of humor and provided excellent service. Decor is super cute and the place just has great vibes! The food- I really enjoyed the chicken and waffles- syrup was perfect and not too sweet. It was filling but left me feeling light and not heavy. The salsa like topping was a great touch as well and the chicken was strips and battered perfectly. Great find and if ever in town again will have to drop by and eat again! read more

My husband and I have been to this establishment when it was first called Gastro Grill (I believe that's what the previous business was called). Menu seemed similar but there were definitely changes. The establishment is clean, looks pretty generic to me in terms of design, meaning modern farmhouse decor is what I'm calling it. Service was friendly and fairly quick ... one of the waiters also act as a host. I see the business owner or general manager walk around some tables to check how things are but we did not experience that. Alright, let's get to it! Drinks: hubby ordered the oatmeal stout which he liked, I ordered the belching beaver PB latte stout which was very tasty! Food: ordered half order of surf & turf tots which, for me, was the best thing on the table. It had a creamy habanero sauce on it, little tender pieces of filet mignon was sprinkled and two pieces of shrimp (maybe full order comes with 4 pieces). It was rich and delicious! Continuing on, I ordered the fish & chips and husband ordered the cubano sandwich (came with fries). Fish & chips was bland ... I'm not sure if the cod was at least sprinkled with any kind of salt or just immersed and fried in the unseasoned batter. The malt vinegar didn't help, the tartar sauce didn't help either (I'm not fond of tartar sauce either but I figured maybe it would give it some zing to the cod). Fries were good but didn't beat the appetizer tater tots. I took a bite of my husband's cubano and that was delicious with generous amount of slices of meat. I will say though that I would need to eat more cubanos in order to review the sandwich fairly but I liked his food better than mine. The sandwich was also a good size portion (probably equivalent to a 10" sub). Verdict: I am ALWAYS disappointed with fish & chips in this area so perhaps this is nothing new. I believe they have rotating beers so that's always nice to see and be able to try other beers. Will return again to try more items because I've had better food at this joint before. read more

We went there several weeks ago. The special fries were high in calories but worth it. I would stick with the burgers, sliders, and fries as they were all delicious. What compliments this restaurant is the nice service... good service makes everything taste good!!! read more

I tried this place for the first time with some friends & family and we all agreed that the food is pretty damn good. The items ordered were: The LuLu burger, the Bone-marrow burger, beef sliders and the Cuban. I had the LuLu burger and I really enjoyed it, but after trying the bone-marrow burger from my bf's plate I regretted not getting that. I love burgers, I'm always down to try new variations and that bone marrow burger has got to be one of the best I've had in awhile. One thing that really put a damper on things was the slow service. Our server was nice, but she really kept us waiting. It took her a minute to take our order, and after we got our food we didn't see her again until we needed the tab. Midway into our meal we all ran out of water, and she didn't come around to refill them until 10ish minutes after we were all done and waiting for our tabs. After we were given our tab, she didn't come around for almost another 10 minutes to pick them up. I think we spent more time waiting on her than she did waiting on us. We literally watched her go from table to table, skipping ours. We saw people that finished after us, leave first. I didn't want to give them a one or two star rating bc of one server, so this rating is based solely on the food. So yeah, I'd return here. I do hope to receive better service next time. read more

3.5 stars service started off slow took awhile just to get water, but once food was out our waiter was attentive. Enjoyed pork belly sliders, drunken shrimp tacos and the Venice beach salad with a vanilla cream spiced ale. My favorite was the pork belly, least favorite was the spiced ale. Didn't like that the table didn't have knifes had to ask the waiter for one. Smaller place but cute food centric decor. Great location in old town Clovis. read more

I'm glad we finally got a place like this in Fresno it's been a long time since we've had anything so creative in the Central Valley. This place is located in old town Clovis and it's a nice little spot with a great indoor atmosphere. Music's a little loud if you want an intimate date so everyone is talking over each other but that's just because of the style of restaurant. Great people and the menu selection is just so different it's refreshing. The prices are actually pretty great for the quality of food $10-20. I had the bone marrow burger( amazing) and the fries are just perfect and I love the fact that they have the different dipping sauces for you to have other than ketchup and just a great joint, I hope it stays around for a long time read more

Things got off to a rocky start at the Craft House for me. They didn't have the beer I wanted from the menu which was a stout from Full Circle brewing. I ended up with Death by Coconut which was alright but not my favorite. The atmosphere was incredibly loud. We then ordered our food and the French fries and hot dogs are cooked in the same oil. My expectations were low. I ordered the vegan burger with a side salad. My family ordered the Phili cheesesteak, the shrimp tacos, and the spicy goat burger. When the food came out, the presentation was excellent and the food tasted outstanding. This veggie burger did not come out of any freezer pack I've ever seen!! Everything was fresh, the sauces and dressings were extremely flavorful. Everyone in my group was very satisfied with the food they ordered. Overall, the Craft House's outstanding food redeemed this experience for me and my family! read more

I live behind this place and it took me forever to try it out lol! The food is incredible! I've tried the fish tacos and the "surf & turf" type entree they had which was equally delicious. Clean and the staff is great as well. It's ALWAYS busy!! So get there early! read more

Great atmosphere with good music. The staff was very friendly and helpful in making a selection from their smallish "focused" menu. The hard bench seating against the window is kinda tough even with a pillow behind you the window frame gets you in the low back and after 30 minutes my backside was sore. Ordered the crab cakes and filet mignon tacos. The crab cakes were good with the right amount of flavor to not overpower the crab, maybe a little sweet but still decent. Came with a pile of mixed greens and some pickled items around the plate. The tacos.....hmmm. kinda disappointed at the meat. Very small amount of flavor considering the meat. The meat didn't appear to have come off a grill as there was zero crispness, char etc and had just the smallest amount of flavor. Considering the price for this meal I'm doubtful I'll be back anytime soon... read more

We went here on a whim, and were pretty happy with our food. I got the spicy chicken sandwich with fries, my husband got a hamburger (it was bison but I cannot remember the name). We had the wontons as an appetizer and those were so good. Sauce was amazing. Customer service was great as well. read more

My husband and I decided to try a new place for an early dinner and stumbled across The Craft House. I checked out the reviews and the menu and we were in. When walking into the building we were greeted immediately by the owner Greg. He sat us and got our drink order immediately. He recommended they surf and turf tots and they did not disappoint they were absolutely amazing. We also tried a cut of the crab chowder again amazing. My husband ordered the Cubano and I ordered the shrimp tacos and you can tell that the cook really takes pride in what he is sending out. We had absolutely nothing to complain about from the service to the food to the atmosphere we loved all of it. We will be back very soon. read more

Heard about this place through the grapevine and it sounded interesting. My husband and I live in Fresno, but my parents live in Clovis so we like to venture around sometimes to get outside of our bubble. I really like the interesting innovated food on the menu - that's what drew me there. We got there just after noon on Friday and it was fairly empty. Greeted and seated promptly by server with earrings and a blad head I believe... Very nice fella. Food was great, hot fries and lots of flavor in the spicy chicken sandwich. I also appreciated that they didn't charge $5 for a glass of ice tea. Can't wait to come back with the hubby and try some of their beer selection. read more

First time here, I tried the American pub burger-amazing. Tried the blue burger sliders-delicious. Husband had the bacon egg and blue cheese dog-wow on all the flavors. I wish we saved room for the dessert. The chef here is amazing, his name I got was Ray, thank you Ray for being so creative! I want to come back to try more and more! The waitress Karen was the sweetest, loved her smile and she made the whole experience of this restaurant that much more delightful. Good job guys! Keep it up! read more

We stopped in on our way from Santa Cruz to China Peak and SO glad we did. They're menu has a great variety to choose from without being overwhelming. I went to the Craft house yesterday and the food was great. Everything was going well until we were eating our dessert and the manager or owner walks up and asks to take our dessert plate. I told her we weren't finished yet and she goes on to say "we're trying to close up, our break between lunch and dinner is our only break." Then just walks away. I was shocked! I'm a business owner and I would NEVER say that to a customer. It made me feel like our business was not appreciated. We just paid full price for our meal and had already tipped well just to be made to feel guilty that she couldn't go home for her break. Super unprofessional and honestly it rubbed me so wrong that even though the food was good I won't ever go back. read more

This place is great! Me and my wife had date planed and we decided to check this place out. We got there about an hour before they were closing and got a call from my mother in law saying she couldn't get my son from church camp.... we ordered our dinner then I left my wife there wile I raced across town to get my son... came back and they were closed but they still let us enjoy our dinner after they were closed. We tried the bone marrow burger, the Cuban sandwich & that days special dessert, chocolate banana bread pudding. Everything except the service that day was great. I was thirsty for so long and couldn't make eye contact fast enough with the waitress for water. Lol The bone marrow burger was the star, the patty was medium and came juicy, full of flavor. It complimented the Sriracha aioli I had on the side, probably my favorite dipping sauce they have. The Cuban sandwich was hardy for sure & filled up my boyfriends almost bottomless stomach lol It was a hefty serving of fries for each order, so yay! The chocolate banana bread pudding was so good, it was the perfect amount of banana flavor with chocolate. So I wouldn't skip the dessert here. All in all, this place was good and I can't wait to come try the rest of the menu! read more

We were in town for a swim meet and found this place close by our Airbnb. It had great reviews and the food looked good so we tried it out. From the second we walked in we were greeted by an upbeat gentleman with a beard (forgot his name). He made you feel instantly welcome and we were seated quickly, it is not a huge spot so we were lucky that a table for 4 was open. Shortly after being seated a server ( blond gal super friendly) came by, she was also very friendly. We tried two of their rotating beers on tap, they were great. We started with the wings that had a strawberry sriracha sauce, those were great lil bit of sweet and a lil bit of spice. For mains we ordered the shrimp tacos, chicken tacos, All American Pub Burger and the Firecracker Chicken Sandwich. All of which were great. My only personal comment is that the firecracker chicken was not spicy for me BUT I like spice and I mean like Thai spicy so if you know how spicy that is you'll understand why I didn't think it was spicy . Craft House has delicious artisan burgers. Can't go wrong there. The fries are lightly breaded and seasoned. Yum. I tried the Crab Cakes and Greens. I love the panko crisp outside. The blue crab is flavored nicely but is over mixed so that it has lost the texture and feel of crab making it a little unpalatable. Sorry, but it's the truth. It reminded me of over mixed tuna. Love this place has great food attentive staff and fun place! The menu though limited is creative, fun and very tasty! Beer selection is good nothing for stout lovers.. The downside is the noise levels are crazy loud due to everyone enjoying the food.. It is an echo chamber..to say the least. The seating is very uncomfortable and not really effective. We showed up as party of 3 and wanted a high top table..sadly it only handles 2.. The chairs are just not comfortable enough to enjoy a lingered dining experience. I will visit again with ear plugs and seat cushions.. Great grub and again great service! read more

Decided to come here on a visit to Clovis for lunch. We've never seen or heard of it, but anything with "craft" in the name draws us in. Place was clean and staff was friendly. Wilson made excellent beer recommendations and when it came to the food, he was knowledgeable about everything. Not only this, he was extremely nice and delivered great service. Surf and turf tots were delicious (half order is plenty), but a little spicy. Wife had the Venice Salad and it had everything on it and was delicious. I had the Caprese Tacos although I'm a taco purist. They were tasty, but corn tortilla flavor won the battle over the balsamic. Daughter had the Mac and cheese, even though I ate most of it. It tasted great and wasn't your boxed Mac and cheese. It did become a little salty towards the end, but for $4 you can't beat it. PS....they have purse hooks on the tables. read more

For my meal, I ordered The Local burger (no pickles of course) which was absolutely fantastic. Piled high with cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes - this burger was executed to perfection. I ordered it medium, and it came out medium (imagine that). The best part was the sunny side egg that was placed on top. That first bite was heavenly. The yolk breaks, and all the goodness adds a little extra flavor to the already delicious burger. The shoe string fries were seasoned perfectly- I highly recommend this entree. The only thing I would add next time is an element of spice to take things up to another level. My wife ordered the BLTA sandwich , with sweet potato fries. I didn't try a bite because I had enough bacon on my burger , but I did sneak a sweet potato fry , and it was fantastic. My son order the chimichurri steak , he seemed to enjoy it although it may have had too much sauce on it for his liking. Perhaps it would been better if he ordered the sauce on the side. My picky daughter ordered the pesto chicken sandwich ,and she said it was pretty good. My family and I were full , but weren't going to let the dessert options pass us by. My family has a sweet tooth. We all shared the chocolate cake and bread pudding . Both are nice options if you need something sweet to top off your meal. The food and vibe of this place deserves 5 stars. I will deduct one star for the mediocre service and inconsistent food prep. Our meals were coming out one by one which made it awkward when trying to eat together. Our server didn't offer refills on our drinks , and didn't bring us utensils -until we asked for them. I will be back to try more menu items , and enjoy a cold beer while watching the game.

Well she is amazing and just talking to her in this short time that I was there you can definitely hear her love for food and our community. Her and her husband put a lot of time into this restaurant to make sure the quality is perfect at every bite in everything they cook. What helps this pizza taste great is the style of their brick oven. It's the only way to have a really good pizza cooked. I hear they just opened up another location off of Fowler and Ashlan and the atmosphere, music and customers are really good. I had ordered or made my own style of pizza, and let me tell you right out of the gate that crust omg was so crispy, cooked perfectly and tasted just perfect. I liked the pancetta/porcino in the carbonara; it was crunchy, but I wish they added the drippings into the sauce for extra depth. Probably needed more parm reg in the sauce also. The pizza toppings were good. Something about the crust just didn't hit. I can't quite put my finger on it. Not sure if I'll come back. If I so, I'd try a NY slice. Saw a table next by order it and it looked bomb.

The angel hair pasta was simple but absolutely perfect. We also had cheesecake for dessert, and it was fantastic. I also appreciated that they had a kid's menu, plus mini pizza options for kids. My five-year-old only made it through a couple slices because the portions were generous. Definitely come hungry, and don't be surprised if you leave with a doggy bag because the portions are big. Highly recommend!

We all loved the orange chicken and the crispy fried pork especially. I tried to get my kids to sample the steam pork buns, but they wouldn't, which just meant more for me! Pillowy soft and full of tender BBQ pork, they were my fave. Truly a hidden gem right in the heart of Clovis!

They were outstanding--crispy, tender bites paired perfectly with their rich, tangy house blue cheese sauce. I chose the Tex-Mex Chipotle Salad, which was incredibly fresh and balanced. The smoky chipotle ranch dressing gave just the right amount of heat, while the crisp greens and toppings kept it light yet satisfying. My friend had the pulled pork sliders, and they were an absolute highlight. The pork was incredibly tender and smoky, piled generously on a soft, toasted brioche bun. I had the Cuban sandwich and my friend had the Lulu sliders. Both were amazing, especially paired with their Sangria. Fries were lightly coated and crunchy on the outside but tender and hot in the inside. The "relish" that came with the sliders was simply AMAZING. Raisins, garlic, olives? Delicious!!!! Came across this place at the suggestion of a friend. Me and my girlfriend were not disappointed! Our server Karen, recommended a few customer favorites, as well as some of her own. I chose the chicken and waffles and it was phenomenal. My girl got the the Cubano...both excellent suggestions and we left feeling fat and happy. We came to this place with high hopes. We ordered the fish &chips, which we were super excited about because they were made from Sea Bass! To our surprise, the fish was cooked battered, with the skin still on it. Gah. It was the worst fish & chips I've had since I can remember.
