Now, I've only had crawfish when I was a kid and didn't like it but I decided if I'm going to give it another try it might as well be in Louisiana. The crawfish here was definitely worth the risk it was very tasty and fresh! It's been a long time since either of us have had crawfish so it was extra fun relearning how to peel and eat it. We were in town for a few days and determined to get some good boiled crawfish while here. This place was the answer!! We had 3 lbs. medium spiced crawfish & 1 lb. medium spiced shrimp. It was perfect! Each order came with 1 potato & 1 corn. Hubby wanted to try the hot spiced crawfish, so he was able to order 1 lb. extra of it. I only had the crawfish, but it was fantastic! They were flavorful and the spice was perfect. Service was friendly and quick. They were made fresh. I would have been worried if they came out as soon as they were ordered. As far as negative reviews. They should have a soda machine with refills. I agree. The food is spicy, which is fine. My only criticism was that they made me pay for cocktail sauce, which was almost a $1, which was for a tiny-tiny container was ridiculous given I paid $22 for my shrimp and boudin sausage. The person joining me had the boiled crawfish and liked them a lot and even added more spices powder to the crawfish to make them even hotter--this guy has killed his taste buds long ago and can't get food spicy enough. The meal and service were all fine, just not exceptional for the price--which I think was a little high--I would go again so I guess if looking for a quick unassuming place to have a Cajun meal, they will do. read more

A restaurant has to be pretty great or pretty bad for me to go to the trouble of reviewing it. In this case it is the latter. I had to give it one star because they had food. The review goes downhill from there. First there is absolutely no, zero, nod-a, atmosphere. That's not a big deal but it is glaringly noticeable. I wanted crawfish but was told they didn't have any and wouldn't until November. Um, dude, look at your calendar. Then he started going on about them being out of season. That is also BS! There are farm raised crawfish readily available. I had some at a crawfish shack in Atlanta a couple weeks ago that we're the size of small lobsters. Don't have the word crawfish in your name unless you always have some. With no crawfish I settled on Dungeoness crabs. Normally I love them but the clusters I got today were small and cold right out of the basket. I can see how they cooled down being so busy. Oh did I forget to mention, I was the only one there. The butter was good but oh yeah, it costed extra! Thankfully I had the crabs just steamed since I tried the spice they had in the shaker on the table and it was inedible. There is a difference between good spice and hot spice. You want to accentuate the crab taste not hide it. In closing, save your money and go somewhere where they want to provide good service and put out a good product without trying to squeeze every cent out of you they can. Restaurants do that because they want to get as much money out of you since you may never be back. Well that is certainly going to be the case here. We go on nights when they have the $2/pound special towards the end of the season. Tonight I picked up 50 pounds for $100. When we opened the first bag, the crawfish were HUGE and so easy to peel.
