    Breakfast burrito
    Vesta B.

Every time I get the chance I am in seal beach I HAVE to come here and get a breakfast burrito and I don't just get one breakfast burrito, I get two because they are just that delicious and so is their mild/hot sauce! Omg they are so tasty! Honestly I am craving one right now lol I also tried their meat ball sandwich and that was good too. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything you get there. The service is great, they do get busy and there is a line every time you go in there but it moves really fast. They give you a number, and they will call it when your food is ready (which is a great and easy system). If you don't want to wait I recommend calling in your order and picking it up. The employees that work there are super nice and if you have any questions about the menu they give excellent recommendations. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. They have plenty of parking on the street. If you haven't been here yet you definitely need to check it out!

I mean, it is a breakfast burrito. The main thing I was impressed by was that for being in a city as wealthy as Seal Beach, the burrito was very reasonably priced at $9.95. Amazing you can get a decent breakfast item with eggs in it at that price after tariffs, bird flu, inflation and everything else that has been happening in the economy lately, and they are making rent for a restaurant on main street Seal Beach with it. Amazing! The burrito itself was not bad but not the unicorn breakfast burrito that I have seen at the top of lists for THE BEST breakfast burrito in OC. It was not even close. There are four breakfast burritos just in Long Beach that I can think of right off the top of my head that were better than this one. I was really expecting a lot. It had chorizo, eggs, cheese, potatoes and a nice balance of each ingredient. The tortilla was dry and the "hot" salsa that came with it was not spicy and tasted super weird, like an odd cross between spaghetti sauce and pickled jalapeños. Not enjoyable or memorable in any way. After a few attempts I just threw the "salsa" away and continued with a dry burrito. It was a Saturday morning, so the line was long but they did get us through very quickly considering. Props to them for that. Service is friendly and professional even though they were slammed. Great employees! Fast and efficient. Parking sucks. All in all, not bad; however, the breakfast burrito itself was not worth the hype from all the top 10 lists from food influencers and KTLA news articles. They have a bunch of other sandwiches and menu offerings, so I plan to come back and try something else.

Staff are super friendly and quick. Was a good option on a hit day to grab a sandwich and sit by the water. Sandwich was Ok but nothing spectacular. Bacon was too hard had to take some of it out. Otherwise pretty standard deli.

Everyone raves about Nick's breakfast burritos, so I finally decided to give them a try. I got there at 10:30 on a Tuesday and the small seating areas inside and out were pretty full, perhaps because it's the start of summer. I had called in my order ahead of time, and it was ready when I arrived. There were two people in line ahead of me. The breakfast burrito has chorizo, bacon, potatoes, egg, cheese and their special sauce wrapped in a flour tortilla. You can get it mild or hot. The burrito was good but nothing out of this world. I would have liked more cheese and couldn't taste the bacon.

*** Accepts credit cards but 3.99% processing fee will be added to the bill *** Nick's Deli is a long standing deli located in Seal Beach's Main Street since 1984. This is the flagship location with another location in Los Alamitos. [Parking]: Fairly easy parking in Old Town Seal Beach on not-so-busy weekdays. [Menu]: Not exactly the easiest menu to navigate with overwhelming sandwich selection, but this spot is known for its signature breakfast burrito. *** Breakfast Burrito (eggs, chorizo, bacon, potatoes, and cheese + special sauce; mild - $9.95): Customer can order mild or spicy special sauce. Burrito was pretty solid with just the right portion and right meat-to-cheese-to-potato ratio. Mild special sauce definitely made the burrito taste better. Also a bonus point on not having rice which is actually my personal preference. *** While it was not the best breakfast burrito I have ever had, I can actually see myself as a frequent visitor if I actually live close to this spot as (1) price is reasonable and (2) burrito is still above-average.

Nicks has epic breakfast burrito (& salsa) I wanted to go in the morning and get a breakfast burrito burrito, but by the time I was able to get down, there was lunchtime so I ended up having a submarine sandwich which I've never had before. Delicious., fresh bread., same great service!

Very nice presentation. Off to a promising start.

Eating here was a long awaited occasion. Having heard great things from multiple people had our hopes up high. We came specifically for the Breakfast burritos. We were sadly disappointed, mostly with the "Breakfast Burrito." It claims to have chorizo and bacon along with potatoes, eggs, and cheese. They should list potatoes as the first ingredient because that is basically what dominated the burrito. I literally had to unroll it to try and find any bacon, of which I found the tiniest pieces. The chorizo was indistinguishable and I would have thought they forgot to add that too based on flavors. We also got the machaca burrito which was better but not worth returning for. The service was quick and the place was kept clean by very friendly staff who want you to enjoy your food, but I would not return for the breakfast burritos.

Probably the best deal for a Reuben sandwich and I'm a huge Reuben fan. Have I had better? Yes, but this one is in my top five. As you can see in in pic, the sandwich is loaded with corned beef, plenty of kraut and swiss cheese, pickles and mustaard. Perfect for only $13.95! Nick's, known for the epic breakfast burritos, but come for lunch and get a sandwich, you won't be disappointed. The man who took my order (owner) helped me navigate the extensive sandwich board and was most helpful, and he keeps his place very clean. So, to sum it up; great prices, even better sandwiches and a clean and welcoming environment. Go get you some!

First 3 star review in my life, got a Denver omelette. Eggs weren't whipped, shells in the egg, bacon/ham tasted like crispy cardboard. Also got another soft scrambled veggie burrito for my partner, that one she said she liked, it was better than last time! Decent value for food ($24 for both things) + Awful omelette + above average burrito = 3 stars Second chance for this place, 3rd time won't be the charm and won't happen again...

Lastly, the rule about happy hour in the bar to me makes no sense. Happy hour should extend to the entire restaurant no matter where you're sitting. I personally hate the bar. I hate watching the baristas on their cell phones texting whomever they're texting. I hate watching them huddled in the corner, not washing their hands. And I also hate the fact that the televisions are on and worse blocking the view. Is this a sports bar or is it a nice dining experience. I don't know. Maybe it's just me. It's very dark inside and I understand that is the vibe but come on now change the carpets. What do I know anyway? My daughters will be back, Sysco foods and all...allegedly. It was a beautiful warm Spring day (73 degrees) and we were excited to eat with the great ocean view from The Beach House Seal Beach. Paid for 2 hours of parking and walked over to the restaurant. It was only when we entered the gate where the hostess is that we saw a small sign that said, "Closed." WAIT WHAT???? No indication in the parking lot, no sign at the sidewalk, no sign walking down the walk way. The ONLY notice was buried around a corner saying Closed. We were told they were short staffed and had to close early, sorry. As we walked back to the car, we stopped at least 4 other cars and told them the restaurant was closed. We were able to alert them so they did not pay for parking at a CLOSED restaurant. It felt like the restaurant had NO consideration for the customers. To have NO sign anywhere near where customers would be parking to notify us of a totally unexpected, unanticipated, highly unusual CLOSING at 4 pm for a restaurant that was supposed to be open until 10 pm!!!!! So I called from my car in the parking lot and asked to speak to the manager. When the manager got on he explained that they were short staffed and had to close early. I discussed the lack of notice to customers and how we paid for 2 hours of beach parking. Manager was nice and polite and totally unresponsive to the fact we paid money to visit his restaurant and now had no where to eat and were out the parking fees. I recommended they post a notice where customers could see they were closed BEFORE we paid for our parking. He said they would do it after they finished closing out. I insisted it was only fair that they notified their customers FIRST. So, as we were leaving we saw an employee come out and post a sign. I took a photo because no one would believe how inadequate their posting was if I just described it. The sign is micro small. You can see our car at the bottom of the photo. Would you notice this CLOSED sign? Come on Beach House. We know you can do better for your customers.

Bristy, our server, thoroughly explained the details of certain dishes such as the Mac & Cheetos. She also checked in on our table throughout the meal and came around often to refill our water. As for the food itself, it was very delicious. My favorite dish was the artichokes. They had a somewhat smoky flavor and the outermost leaves were crunchy and a nice contrast to the soft inside of the artichokes. They were also served in a tangy sauce that complimented the vegetable well. My friend's favorite item was the macaroni and cheese. It was chewy and creamy, and the pasta, which Bristy informed us was made in-house, was what my friend thought elevated the dish because it was a nice texture. We additionally ordered the gumbo which was also tasty but not as yummy as the other two dishes that we ordered. It is not a spicy dish if one is concerned about spice level. As for the ambiance of the restaurant, we enjoyed how the atmosphere felt casual and almost like you were sitting in somebody's house (the wallpaper and interior design is pretty) while still maintaining an elegant aesthetic design. If I was in the area, I would return to The Attic for dinner. My friend and I had a very welcoming and positive experience in terms of the service and food respectively at this establishment.

There is inside seating what looks like a converted house? There is outside seating at tables or at the bar. The menu was interesting which had a theme of shrimp; there was eggs Benedict with shrimp, but not an item to order a regular one without it? Sure maybe could have ordered and asked without shrimp but pay the same price? Pass. Ok when I called they mentioned they serve brunch until 3? 3:30 I can't remember. The server mentioned they serve the brunch all day? Either way when I got to ordering this month on the menu it highlighted the shrimp po boy. I tried to order and nope, out. How can you be out of the item highlighted as the special in the middle of the day? When the place is not packed? I tried to order the lobster roll and again, out. I was tempted to order their short rib poutine since in theory it sounded good, but at this point I tried something simple I would hope they have in the kitchen chicken and waffles. The plate came and it looks good. If you look at the picture at the bottom of the chicken you can see a dark something. As I lift my chicken I found a huge burnt piece of breading pictured next. On top of the chicken is green onion I think? Who eats that with chicken and waffles? If I am wrong, a garnish is totally unnecessary for this dish. The chicken was moist. There are spices in the flour breading I can see but hard to taste what it is. The waffle is a hard pass for me. The waffle was crispy which is good, but also thin and dry and I couldn't taste any sweetness until I put maple syrup on it. The syrup came out warm which was nice. It's clear watching the people at the bar this is a local hangout. The chicken and waffles were $19 which if I was in the bay I think it's about right, but I think a little high considering the level of food I got. Supposedly this place is packed specifically on Sundays. The server doesn't know why? I'm not interested to even try to come back for a second chance and just be told sold out of the menu.

It was raining so we sat inside and the interior dining space took me back 50 years ago to sitting in a booth with my family when it was called "Little Ship's Galley". Alexandria, one of our servers, was so friendly and we also had another server taking care of our table who was just as attentive so our coffee cups were full and kept warm. Food: consistently great and generously portioned. You could easily share one meal but the birthday boy wanted the Country fried steak with biscuits and gravy and I narrowed my order down to a Mexican Omelette, subbing carne asada out for Ortega chili with hash browns and blueberry muffin as my sides. Since it was a birthday celebration, Mimosas and a cinnamon roll were obligatory and delicious!! Food reviews and suggestions: the Country Breakfast is huge and my hubby, former Texan, claimed that the chicken fried steak was as good as it gets along with the biscuits and gravy. My omelette was also huge and stuffed so much so that I could only eat about half, boxing the remaining omelette, muffin and hash browns to go. The cinnamon roll was so soft, cinnamony and delicious. I'd also recommend from past visits, the pancakes, waffles and eggs Benedict. To sweeten our breakfast experience, Alexandria brought my husband a Birthday Sundae with 2 spoons. Somehow we made room and finished the bowl. Schooner or Later is a great place to relish old memories and make new memories with family and friends. On a warm day, be prepared to wait because their outdoor waterfront patio fills up quickly. It was more crowded than we thought on a rainy day because the food is so good!!

I have an avocado allergy, so watching that level of cross-contamination made me very uncomfortable. Food allergies are serious, and restaurants should take better precautions. The food itself was mediocre, and after seeing the food handling practices I couldn't enjoy the meal. After driving such a long distance to try this place, it was a big disappointment.
