Went to a party last night at this bar, party was great despite the owner acting like an idiot. You can have entertainment as 1 time thing, so the birthday boy asked the guy from the Eagle for karaoke . Owner pissed all over it, to busy being a jerk to the guests. If you don't know anything about running a bar , stay in your lane. He was enough to make me want to never go back. read more

This place may not be in the best of neighborhoods nor does it get crowded (which is a plus) but the prices are decent and the bartenders are very friendly and it is a very casual place with "real" guys not the fake WeHo crowd. read more

This bar has been nothing but accepting to me and every patron that I have seen walk through these doors. The only people that have been rude and disrespectful to patrons, from my observations as a regular, are the clientele who get extremely drunk or whose advances are rejected by the bartenders. I've always been taken care of in a timely manner, addressed professionally, and treated like a queen. No matter how bad my day has been, my night is always made better when I come in. I'm bias when I say Brad is my favorite bartender but Jose and Chet are amazing as well. I like the Crest but tonight was not so good the bartender Brad was very disrespectful he such a chatty Cathy he ignores the customers and he talks about his husband all night long about how much he loves him but he's always trying to pick up and have a threesome with all my friends that I take to the Crest.Its so annoying and it makes my friends very uncomfortable.He also brags about how he has the owner wrapped around his finger and that's why he talks to him the way that he does.I have a lot of respect for the owner but I will not be going back or taking my friends on Brads nights!!! read more

Listen. I loved The Crest. I've been going there since it was still a hole in the wall, dungeon/castle-themed dive bar. The awful night that I will be recounting was literally the same night that I had said how much I loved The Crest to my friends on the way to the bar. I went in on Pride weekend and of course, it was packed. There was more so a hoard of people rather than a line, waiting to get drinks. Look, I get it. It's busy. People are drunk and being sloppy. I sympathize. When bars get busy, I ALWAYS tip very generously, so long as the bartender is at the very least, attentive. But if the bartender is pounding down drinks and not serving people and doing, I don't know, HIS JOB, then my sympathy stops there. Not only was the bartender TRASHED, but when I walked up to the bar and waved to get his attention to buy another round, he looked at me, rolled his eyes, and shook his head. He literally REFUSED to serve me. And to top it all off, he still served the men at the bar but refused me. Now I don't know if it's because I'm a woman or if he just assumed that I am straight (I'm not), but either way I've never felt so embarrassed in my life. And it was literally the first time I had been up to the bar that entire night. UGH. The poor barback had to pick up all of the slack for this incompetent bartender and it was honestly just an entire mess. This one experience made me feel unwanted and unappreciated in an establishment that I have been supporting for years. Just absolute trash. Do better. read more

Was unable to sample anything besides the inhospitable rejection of the friend who had hoped to show me the bar. The bartender at first greeted my friend with, "Long time no see," but soon he was refusing to provide service. He was not drunk, not causing any form of trouble, nor had he done so in the past. Claiming that my friend was a "liability risk," the bartender failed to clarify any basis to the claim. He insisted that he had no information, other than he was told by his bosses, not to serve my friend. Not a good introduction for me...I will not be giving the Crest a second chance for a first impression. read more

I live in the area and nothing quite beats the convenience of driving to your very own watering hole. That is exactly what it feels like when going to the Crest, the staff and owner are very attentive and the drinks are always strong. They have drink specials for every day of the week to satisfy every customer and have complimentary BBQ nights as well. All around great vibe, judgment free zone. Love this place. Relax and play pool or darts and hangout with friends on a nice outdoor patio, great beer and drink prices friendly staff. They even have a barbecue on Sunday's. this is the first time that we went to this bar...it was ok...it was cheap, the decor was very dark and there were not a lot of people in the bar at the time. We went on BBQ night and they made chicken tortillas....these were very good....freindly people. small place, may come back at a different time. read more

The Crest is what you would call a hole in the wall. A bar that is not just a gay bar but a bar that is for everyone who is just looking to hangout. It has affordable drink specials for every day of the week and if you're an avid pool player there are two tables for you to enjoy a few gams while you enjoy the company of friends or meeting new people.This is a bar that is just now finding its rebirth with its nice wood interior and its amazing chill outdoor dive setting patio. All the bartenders there are nice, but if I had to have my favorite one I would say it's Jose. Jose is very attentive to all his customers and makes sure that the bar remains clean at all times as long as he isn't that busy. He's what you would call a "man's man" with how easy he is to talk to and his excellent personality, every experience with him is a great one and is what keeps me coming back for more. read more

The bartender Jose was rude and was too busy talking to his friends at the end of the bar to serve us until my straight friend walked in after he walked in. The bartender Jose kept flirting with him and when my friend went to the bathroom the bartender followed him in. he creeped out my friend so much that we had to shortly after because my friend had to tell Jose several time that he wasn't into guys but Jose still wouldn't take no as an answer. I wouldn't recommend hanging out here with straight friends because they might be harassed by that bartender read more

My friends and I come here almost every Sunday. The prices are fair and the atmosphere and music is great. The bartender jose is EVERYTHING!. He's always friendly and makes you feel welcomed. Very nice large clean bar.Older crowed and easy friendly people. Good sound system with flat screen t.v to enjoy movies and music video. Good prices on beer and liquor:). They always have special going on in the Bar. They also have a beautiful large outdoor patio.I try to attend the bar at least 3 times a month.
